Hi there, I wonder if anyone can help me work out if this function exists...? Each mixer track has a send, labelled S1. Is it possible to add more sends to the same channel, i.e. S2, S3, etc? Seems like a simple thing but I can't find anything in the options or online anywhere. I have to make a duplicate 'ghost' track to send the same signal out to other channels but this seems like a clunky workaround. Thanks in advance for your help!Ash
I listen to music at low volume levels when using my computer. I have tried Match Loudness using numerous loudness standards, tolerance and max true peak level settings to no avail. I still end up with songs that have varying perceived loudness levels. When listening, I hear pronounced volume levels between songs. The last settings I used were:Match To: EBU R128Tolerance: 0 LUMax True Peak Level: -12 dBTPUsing these settings, my resulting perceived loudness levels vary between-23 dB and -17dB. How can I obtain more consistent perceived/real world volume levels? Thanks!
We're running Adobe Aud 1.5 at our radio station. When saving files for our automation we prefer .wav. In saving files recently this has popped up, Windows PCM (.wav, .mp3), and it always defaults to .mp3.Why has this all of sudden started happening? It used to show us, Windows PCM (.wav).Again, it's just started coming up with the .mp3. Thanks y'all
I'm just getting set up in Audition. I can record and the waveform shows very little except when I play it back it is very loud. I am opening up a new file, using the defaults, and am curious as to what I'm doing wrong. If I increase the system microphone volume enough to see the waveform then I get terrible distortion and clipping (yet the waveformn doesn't seem to show clipping). My setup is fairly basic, a Rode mic coupled to a soundblaster input card. I also run through Krisp but I have the same issue if I am using Krisp or not. I don't have any dedicated audio input setup (yet). If I can back away from the mic a bit I can get pretty decent sound but I still get virtually no waveform as below. What am I missing here that is making this sound so ugly?
"Capture Noise Print" & "Noise Reduction (process)" don't do anything at all. The audio does not change no matter what I do to the settings. I'm using Windows 10 which is up to date, and the Audtion 13.06.3.8. What am I missing?
Hello, I want to sync a podcast that was recorded online. I have two files, both recorded in Audition on two separate computers. I saw the video below where the silence is being automatically edited out, which sounds like a huge time saver! But, he is using a recording that was made int the same room, so there's no need to sync. What's the easiest way to sync the two files, so I could use that magic trick and clean the silence bits? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HecS03NfFE&t=9s Thanks
Just recently Audition will crash, freeze or bug out. Not sure how to fix this. Can someone help? Using Audition 2020 on a PC laptop.
Hi all, Recently, I had an issue. When I export a wav file, it used to end up in a wav. But recently, it converts into . A, and I have no idea how to open it. Subsequently, I cannot use Audition anymore. Anyone has any idea of what it is, and how to change it back into wav file? Thanks in advance.
I've set my audio hardware to my audio interface and I can see the meter output signal so it's picking up the signal from the microphone but everytime I hit record nothing is there or rather it's like listening to a stream. The sounds of running water is all you can hear. I'm using a Zoom R24 recorder as an interface since it has that capability and I can hear myself using the microphone and see levels on the device itself like normal. Again I can see the signal when using Audition but there is no wavfile or signal on the track when I hit record. What am I doing wrong?
For my podcast edits workflow I like to stretch time to 50% to work faster. The markers are stuck to the session and waveform cannot stretch time as far as I know.Does anyone have any suggestions or tricks? I tried to simply double the marker time but that's not too accurate and takes a lot of time when you have many markers.
I have cut a few commercials using AA and just edited a mix from a dj session I did. In both times I noticed mysic and the background music (commercial) the levels changed on their own. Like an audio rollercoaster. What am I doing wrong? I am an ace with AA in older versions but the newest version at home (quarantine mode) is driving me bananas. Help.
Help! My computer crashed earlier today, and since then I haven't been able to start up either Creative Cloud or Audition -- I get a "Windows could not find..." error. I've gone through the help desk (they couldn't help me) and reinstalled multipled times. It's maddening. I need Audition to do work tomorrow, so I'm kind of desperate. Any ideas?
A custom Parametric EQ preset was recommended to me by someone using CC. The instructions were to use two Parametric EQ settings and save the preset, but my Parametric Equalizer doesn't look the same, so it's frustrating. The first setting is to set the High Shelf to 230Hz and 1.9db, then set the slope on the shallow one, then save. The second setting is to set the High Shelf to 3500Hz and 1.9db, slope on shallow and save. Create a preset name and done! Can anyone give advise on how to achieve that in Audition 3.0?Thanks,JG
Pinch and zoom has stopped working on my trackpad in Audition (I'm on a Mac). I've had this problem on my work computer before and tried resetting the preferences as I was told:Clean media: delete media cache and media cache files folders in library/application support/adobe/Reset preferences by going to library/application support/adobe/ and renaming the Audition folder as Audition.old. Do the same in library/preferences/adobe/ and again in Documents folder. One problem: there's no Audition folder in library/application support/adobe/I've uninstalled the program multiple times, restarted my computer multiple times, and also made sure everything is up-to-date.Any ideas?
Hello, can someone please tell me how I export an mp3 that has the ability to switch between the numerous tracks - so has track numbers, is not just one long track of an hour, but listeners can forward to track 12 if they want. Thank you, Karl
Hi All,I'm trying to get started with Adobe Audition 13.0.6.38 on Windows 10 1909 (18363.836). I've watched the Adobe tutorials, some you tube videos, and also some classes on Udemy to become familiar with the platform. One issue I am having that is different from many of the videos I have watched is that if I go into Preferences -> Audio Hardware and select a device, that is the only input I can select if I create a multitrack session using the Podcast template. Under Audio Hardware I see USB Headset Microphone, USB Webcam Microphone, a couple of virtual audio cables, and Stereo Mix (Realtek Audio). All USB devices are plugged into a 10 port AUKEY hub. If I select any one of these as a default and go to the Host or Interview track input, the only option I'm seeing is the default I selected under Audio Hardware. I was expecting to see every hardware device under Mono or Stereo that was available under the default Audio Hardware screen. I eventually want to record Di
I have a license for Audition 3.0 - I'm aware the activation servers have been decomissioned and the self activating version is no longer available. I need to recover old session files that will not open in newer versions of Audition. Can someone please let me know the best way to install and activate Audition 3.0 now that the activation servers are decomissioned and the self-activating version is no longer available? Thank you. Jesse
I spent hours recording & editing an audiobook chapter. I saved & closed the WAV form (44100/24), rebooted the computer, and now upon opening the file to listen back - it's horrible white noise/static throughout. The WAV form looks normal; other WAV files from this same project open without an issue. Please help!!
Im doing some recording on my laptop but anytime I have the power/ac adapter plugged into the unit, the recording gets what I consider to be a high pitched, not so faint, static/buzz.I went through Jason Levines video about removing noises, and tried all the different techniques, but the results either kill the sound completely and makes my voice sound muffled/covered, or the sound is still there. When I unplug the power cable from laptop and record, there's no buzz while recording. The buzz is not from external/ambient/environment, but from within the computer. like static feedback or something. How can I fix this??
Premiere works fine, After Effects, Audacity, even Sony Vegas runs smoothly with instant playback even with heavy audio and effects applied. But somehow, despite being an audio-only program, Audition sucks. It's slow, lags for minutes with playback and commands, hogs all the memory, and now every time I make even the slightest edit I get a crash report for this file I'm working on.I tried disabling effects both for clips and for tracks, it doesn't help and even if it did it's not a solution so much as it is a workaround. Tried disabling "use hardware acceleration for drawing", I've sent detailed crash reports, I've downgraded to last year's version of Audition. I've done everything and I'm starting to lose faith in adobe if the program functions this badly. What am I missing? I'm ready to pull a Ron Swanson and just throw my computer in a dumpster (actually I won't, everything else works fine). I use Windows 10. Here are the specs:Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4330 CPU @ 3.50GHz
I took an audio clip, sped it up 60% with global clip stretching.Made all my cuts. Now I want to slow it down to realtime keeping all edits in place. Is this possible?Every way I've tried messes up my cuts.
Hey all! I'm using Adobe Audition 12.1.3.10 for Mac. I've got a multitrack file that I'm trying to export. I used to never have any issues with exporting. But, now I'm about to rip out my hair. Whenever I attempt to export the Multitrack Mixdown to MP3, it doesn't export at the bit rate I select in Format Settings. I change the track to "Mono" and change the bit rate settings to 80, 63, 56 or even 320 (I've tried all three just to see what happens). However, whenever the file is done exporting, the file-size is double what it should be. When I examine the file, regardless of which bit rate I choose, the file exports at 192kbps. Even when I export the file at 92kbps in stereo, it comes out as 192kbps. Is there some setting I need to fix? What am I missing?! GAH!
About a month ago my Audition CC stopped recognizing the pan set up on my Mackie Pro FX8 mixer. It worked fine until about a month ago. How do I resolve this?
