I'm editing an audio interview and have been working with stereo files with interviewer on right track, subject on left track. At this stage, the edit is nearly complete, and am looking to split those pairings into mono tracks without going through manually to each of the 500-600 snippets and making them unique and extracting them, or other insanity. I need to deliver clean mono tracks to the mix. I tried creating mono tracks and seeing if I can drag a grouping to them with a modifier key to split them the way you can extract to mono when importing from the Files list, but either I'm doing it wrong, or there is no way to do that? I ... am really trying to deliver this today, so looking for wisdom from the Audition gurus for how I can leave all edits in place but have two nice separate mono edits! I don't have an option to bust back to clean tracks and re-edit as that could take several days! Thanks for any and all advice!
Hey! Its not that big of a problem, but when I export my songs, theyre half as loud as normal songs from other artists. I cant figure out why. I always turn the master to the maximum. Any ideas?
Hello, I am working on a horror video project while I am confined at home and I wanted to recreate or at least get a similar voice sound effect like the one you can hear from the Alien talking to Dr. Abigail in the movie The Fourth Kind (It's a youtube link and you can skip to seconds 0:44 to hear it) also (could be disturbing to some) Anyway I never really worked on audio for my videos apart for manipulating pitch or adding reverb using Premier Pro, I've searched online but so far I did not manage to find something specific, if some of you could give me some advices it will be really appreciated thanks. I am trying to create a template for the effects I have loaded on a specific track. Basically I am working on services that have the same lay out. I have the same intro and altro every time and I am only changinging the music and preaching, but the formatting remains the same. Beacsue of this I want to be able to load a template where the the name of the invidual tracks cary over, as well as any effects that may have been applies on the previous session. Do you have any thoughts on how i can do this? I thought about working off the previous file, but the problem with that is I am exporting from and back to Premier for the video portion. Let me know if anyone has any solutions. Thanks!!
I've been working in a multi-track session. I used the de-clipper to work on one of the tracks and after I used it all tracks became "greyed" out. It seems like I can still do the work on them but not sure what this means or if it limits me later on. Attaching a screenshot. Thanks!
Adobe audition has a place to download effects and more these come in .RAR format with folders How do I install them?
Hi folks, I am at my wit's end here. I've never had this problem before. I'm trying to record, but for some reason the recordings are crackling and have a tin blip happening. It is occurring no matter what I use to record, from my Blue Yeti mic to my iMac built-in microphone. I can see a second line, below the main waveform, that seems to be picking up this problematic level. I've tried playing with settings, doing a system restart, and uninstalling and reinstalling and it is still happening. See attached example: (attachments corrupt, please re-attach. -Mod)
Ive lost my defualt stereo input option to select my inputs (Tascam 16-08) - Any help on how to get this back would be amazing!
When I first launched Audition, there was a nice tutorial that opened on first launch with an audio file with a child singing Mary had a little lamb. It was easy to follow and I was reviewing the basic steps and thought I had minimized the tutorial. But for the life of me I have no idea where the tutorial went. Can anyone steer me into how to get it back up? (13.0.5.36)
Hello, I am using aodbe Audition to edit some voice files. All the tracks were recorded in my Iphone. For some reason when I import them some files apppear as stereo but mostly all as mono. I would like to convert them or have them all in STEREO. Anyone knows how to do this or why is this happening? Thanks!
Hello all. Pardon my ignorance on this issue, but I just can't seem to figure this out on the new Audition. I really loved the old Audition, and I've been working on a pre-2010 version up until this year, when I decided to update to the new version. There are a lot of things that are different that I'm getting used to. The most glaring bit that I cannot figure out is: in older version of Audition, when working on the multitrack system, if I was recording something on a track that I was not satisfied with and wanted to re-record, I could go back and record over it without Audition creating a whole new file for it. And now, if I do 10 takes on the same track, I have 10 different files for the track and they're layered on top of each other. So when I save the session, I have dozens and dozens of files of takes that I don't want or need. How can I just... go back to recording over the same track and not have Audition creating new files for each take? Thanks for the adv
I recorded into Multitrack and all went well. As I was working on my project (about 30 minutes after recording), my system crashed and restarted on its on. I'm on a Macbook Pro. When I reopened the Audition file, my audio was gone, as if it was never recorded at all. I can't find it in any folder nor on Creative Cloud. Is there any way I can locate this file? Thanx,David O.
I'm trying to apply doppler effect on the selected section. However instead of one specific section of a track, Audition applies the effect to all sections in all tracks. I've also tried keyframe but didn't help much. Thank you!
Hello everyone, I'm having a really annoying problem. I have made guitar riff for my cast and I have recorded it in a really high quality audio file. But when I insert it into Audition, the quality drops. Any ideas ? Thank you in advance.
I am having to work from home like many of us. So, I have a recording app from work that defaults to Adobe when I select "edit." The problem is when I go to send it back to load I get a pop-up that says that path may no longer be available or that it's full?!? Sometimes if I click on it enough it'll send the feed. Our IT doesn't work with Audobe so he's unsure how to proceed. I'm doing around 120 feeds a day! I could use some help!
Hello, I use a windows 10 laptop, 64 bit operating system with plenty of data storage.I'm running low on my C drive so saving into my D drive which has 1 TB of space free. However twice now while editing I've suddenly found that I've lost between 20 and 80% of my work. The clips are gone. They're not offline, they're completely vanished. The first time I happened I thought it must have been a storage issue so I created space on my C drive so there was room in the Audition back up file. However it happened a second time.It seems that although it appeared I was saving into my D drive, it was reverting to C drive and then not saving? This is an assumption... Not sure it's actually the case.I'm now also backing up to my external hard drive every 30-60 minutes but I lose 8-10 minutes at a time while it saves and I'm on deadline.Cheers,SarahAnyone able to assist?
Hello, second issue. I'm working on an audio doco. Opened it this am- multitrack looks normal but if I hit play it replays about 2 seconds of audio- out of order, over and over. It I move to another section it plays a different 2 seconds and also gives me static- even though the file levels are no where near peak level. It appears to only be affecting this montage as I've played the audio from a different episode without any problems.I've restarted my computer. When Audition opens there are no errors or warnings. Windows 10 64 bit operating system. Cheers,Sarah
Every time I sleep or restart my computer (PC), I get the "your audio hardware has changed" notice - I go to my audio hardware and nothing has changed. I just click OK and it's fine, but EVERY TIME. What's happening? julie
Hello again. How do I reroute the signal for Default Output to external monitors rather than the USB audio interface direct monitoring path? Audition wants to use the same input/output via the Behringer UM2 USB interface. Would a USB switch or some audio switch allow me to choose between the two? What about a replacement interface? Thanks!
Why is it that when I stretch out a song in Multitrack, when I go to Waveform, it sounds like the original version? Am I supposed to save after stretching out the audio, then go to Waveform? I'm new to Adobe Audition.
Hallo zusammen! Liebe Grüße --- English by Google --- Hello everybody! We are currently putting our room together and unfortunately still have a room we like to remove with Adobe Audition. We are not really familiar with the program itself, probably the question of two things: - How far can the attached audio be removed? - Do you think someone will help us? The demo recording has been given for test heard. As a microphone we use the Rode NTG4 + together with the Tascam DR-
I'm trying to record a phone conversation with Alesis iO2 audio interface and Adobe Audition. To the left channel I have a mic connected, to the right one - the telephone. When I record in waveform - it's okayish, but the right channel (from the phone) is too loud and results in overdrive. Hardware gain reduction is not enough. So I thought I would record in multitrack and use Audition mixer to reduce the right channel. But the multitrack is not recording at all, despite setting input devices on Track 1 and Track 2 and toggling the power on both tracks. What am I doing wrong? Sorry if my vocabulary is a little rough, I'm new to sound editing and don't have much experience.
When I am in a Zoom session and on my condensor microphone running through a Duet by Apogee pre-amp onto my Mac Book Pro (Mojave) and recording with and old version of Adobe Audition. It's CS6 (Version 5.0), a client version. What happens is that the microphone levels spike and I end up with total distortion on both ends of the conference and on what I recorded. When I tried taking off the mic auto gain in Zoom audio settings and adjusting the mic level manually, the system kept spiking to the max level. When not recording on Audition, my microphone works perfectly fine during a Zoom session. Issues seems to be caused by the interface between my Adobe Audition and Zoom. Any ideas?
Hi, im' noob on Audition, and I’d like to know if exists a mode to do this without an audio board, below i left the printscreen of my preferences.
Hello all,I'm brand new here, so thank you for the support.I have an MXL 770 running through a Berhinger UM2 to my Windows 10 PC. I think part of the problem is that I generally run all my audio through my Schiit DAC and headphone amp to monitors - playback seems to be an issue. However, there was one instance where there appeared to be a recording, but on playback, there was only static, rhythmic static at best. I've included some screenshots.Again, thanks for any help!
