I‘ve been doing basic editing of an audiobook in ocenaudio, and now, for a number of reasons, would prefer to use Audition. However, i haven‘t been able to find a comparable function to ocen’s “paste to fit” command. (I copy five secs of clean room tone to the clipboard, and then as I select gaps with noise or mouth sounds between words, my shortcut command replaces the selection with only what’s needed from the clipboard.) It’s been fast and convenient. I naively assumed this would have been found in all DAWs, but haven’t found it in Audition. Am I missing something, perhaps obvious?

I have installed Audition on another machine in the office and am transfering things across. How do I transfer the Presets? Where are they located?I'm talking Reverb settings ...
I have problem with showing input and outputs in multirack(image below). Do you know where´s the problem?
Okay so i have a friend sending me the sesx file to clean up and when I open it I get an error below. Should she be exporting it a different way? She has no issues on her side.
Why when restarting your computer, do my Audition audio settings get all jumbled? Version 13
Hello,I have a long audiofile and created many merged markers (with a time range) and named them purposefully. When I export them I get the tracks with the title I gave the marker as the filename and the order is added as a postfix. But when I import them in iTunes the titles of each track are all the same and there is no tracknumber / order to them. It's a timeconsuming hassle to find the right title and tracknumber manually. There must be an easier way to do this. But I searched and coudn't find an answer. Can someone please explain to me how to export the chunks created with markers of an large audiofile so that each "chunk"/marker-range/track has the proper metadata to easyily import it in iTunes. Or to rephrase it - how to set the metadata to each individual "chunk"/marker-range/track. Or is there another way I need to go about it?
I would like to use my iphone to conduct a phone interview that I record straight into Audition. I'm using a Scarlet audio interface, it's getting to the Mac sound card, but it's not making it into Audition. What am I missing? Thanks in advance.
I can not find any explanation what "suspend group" function does. Does anyone here know?
I am editing a podcast that has two seperate tracks. The length is around 30 minutes. When I edit the sound in Waveform or cut a file in Multitrack and move it, there is a very long lag or the application on longer responds. Below are the stats on the type of Mac I am using. I recently upgraded so my computer could handle large Adobe files. Any help or advice would be appreciated. iMac Pro (2017) - High SierraProcessor: 3.2 GHz Intel Xeon WMemory: 32 GB 2666 MHz DDR4
I am recording audio books for commercial sale. Every chapter in a given book is recorded in a different file. I need to search and replace all and every breath sound with a silence in all files. I have tried the suppress sound command and the reduce noise command after having selected a given breath sound but the result in not satisfying because it does alter the sound of the voice. How can I do this? Is it just a question of adjusting the different sliders? Or what?!?Right now I am manually selecting every breath sound and replacing it with a silence using a keyboard shortcut that I have created but it takes me hours to do so. If there were a kind of search and replace command like in Microsoft Word I could select the breath sound and then replace all of them in seconds (instead of hours!)Can someone help me with this?
Hello everyone! I am doing audio books and I am searching a way to identify quickly spaces between sentences/voice and replace them with room tone while making sure that the replacements are of the same length of time as the spaces. Is there any workflow or favorites applicable to do so quickly instead of selectig manually each and every space between parts of a sentence and replace it with room tone? Thaks in advance for your help!
A few months a ago i noticed that my mixdowns were sounded differnt (less processed) compared to listening in the mutitrack. I'm unsing latest version of Adobe CC and the latest version of WAVES Gold. So bassically i'll perfectly compress, eq, limit VOs with music in multitrack, then when i mixdown the track, it almost sounds like i've turned down the wet slider to about 75% leaving 25% dry FX. The only way around it is to over process the voice and then it sounds how it should do in the mixdown. my bit rates are all the same and matching (48k 16bit). I've tried everything but can't seem to resolve it. Has anyone else had this problem?
Audition 13.0.4 is now available for download from the Creative Cloud desktop application. It's a bug-fix update and is recommended for all users.
Adobe, you folks should inform users of the issues with the EQs in Audition 13.0.1, in the pinned announcement posted above, as referenced here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/audition/parametric-equaliser-not-functioning-correctly/m-p/10801010#M19979 If I recall it worked correctly in 13.0.0 and was introduced in the 13.0.1 update, . Looking forward to seeing this issue fixed.
When I click on a waveform, too often the visible part of the wave form is highlighted instead of just leaving the cursor where I have chosen to put it by clicking. Anybody else having this problem? Any solutions? Can I disable the double clicking which chooses the visible part of the wave form? Can I increase the time betwen clicks so the visible part of the wave form is not chosen?I am using Audition 13.0.3.60.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Marc
I don't know if it's already possible (I don't think so).PROBLEM:In the Waveforms view, I set my beautiful panels on the right and left with the sound wave in the center. I saved the Preset, all beautiful all functional.I move to the Multitrack view and have the same panels, in the same arrangement on the right on the Left etc.Yes, but now the panels on the right give a lot of trouble to the view and to the assembly on the multitrack of the various tracks ... setting and when I return to the multitrack the same thing ... HIGHLY BAD and FRUSTRATING !!!I PROPOSE:1. Is it possible to save in the same NAME as the Layout preset the separate settings one for the Waveforms view and one for when moving in the multitrack ?? (same preset different views)2. Is it possible to review the settings of the panels of the various windows?Too many panels to keep open and always little space ... and if you would adopt a Responsive panel setting, and with a small interface with opening buttons superimposed
Hi, New to Audition but not recording. I have a decent Macbook Pro (specs below) that should easily let me -while playing- click the Solo or Mute button and have Audition just do that on the fly. But it doesn't, it just keeps playing as if I did nothing. And if I make an eq change (or any other effect) I can't hear that on the fly either. I have to press stop and then play again to hear the difference, which is SUPER slow. I'm only talking 4 vocal trax with minimal effects (just compression, eq) and a sub grouped reverb. There's no way the program works this way on a normal basis. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance, MacBook Pro, Mid 2015, 15-inch RetinaMojave 10.14.62.5 Ghz quad core, i716gb DDR3 ram1.5g Intel Iris Pro Graphics card500 SS Drive with 240GB Free
So I have finished my stringing together several files including mp3s I used for accompaniment and my own vocal recordings and I am trying to export my project. I go to File-Export-Mixdown- Entire Section- and finally I change the format to mp3. But for some reason the recorded vocals will not export with my accompaniment. Can anyone help?
Hi,using Audition v13, Win10:is there a plugin for Audition to export the waveform data as JSON – esp. for using it for https://wavesurfer-js.org/faq/ ?Or is there another option/progam for creating these JSON files? Or: is it possible to export waveforms as graphics with Audition? Thanks a lot!mycc

Hi everyone, I don't know exactly how to phrase my issue, so this may be tough. I am using a ROG GU501 gaming laptop, a Behringer U-PHORIA UM2 interface, a Shure SM7B microphone, and a CL1 cloudlifter. Audition is also up tp date. For a while now I have had a LOT of just... Like, tone background noise. So, there is a base level of some sort of noise that is being picked up, so when I record there is just an annoying, garbage buzz in the background. I don't have any compression or effects on any tracks or clips. I haven't changed nay settings in terms of audio hardware or recording. This was not an issue before. I honestly don't know when, but it just, kind of, happened. As many problems seems to do. There may be something that changed, but I just can't figure it out right now. What I do notice is that the noise seems to be a result of, like, my computer itself. When I click the mouse, there is a bump. It isn't liek the fan is constantly going, so it is more as if my sessions
When I open audition all is fine. When I import a file, immediately a weird strange grayish colored haze appears all over the problem making any editing impossible. I do not get any such distortion with any other adobe problems, only when I open an audio file in Audition. No idea at all what that is about.
Using Audition 2020 and a Presonus 68 box for podcast recording. I downloaded drivers and instlled. After setting the hardware preferences, when I go to assign the input options to the channels, I am only give 2 of the 4 input options. The Presonus 68 box has 4 inputs and Auditon is only letting me select either 1/2 OR 3/4 - menaing I can only use 2 of the 4 Presonus lines. Any suggestions?
Does there exist a method of expanding the height of a waveform? I've got one that's really low and I'm trying to match it with some other audio and its near impossible.
