Audition

I've tried searching on YouTube and couldn't find an Audition CS6-specific tutorial,  to no avail.  Hoping to find a simple step-by-step (effect-by-effect) tutorial or explanation on how to master for ACX settings (measure between -23 and -18 RMS, and peak no higher than -3).    Thanks!

Just upgraded from AA3 to AA CC 2019 and now Audition creates audible glitching on all 48K files. This is what it sounds like ..http://dannycox.dyndns.org:8080/share.cgi?ssid=0XDRvUxInterestingly, if I record, a 48K WAV and play it back through Window Media Player it sounds fine, but AA doesn't seem to be able to cope with it.To give a bit more clarity ;If the file is recorded as a 44.1 Waveform it plays fineIf I convert it to 48k it glitchesIf I record a file at 48k it glitchesIf that file is dropped into a 48k Multitrack it glitchesIf the file is dropped into a 44.1 multitrack  (it offers to to convert it to 44.1) then it's fineIf I try and open any previous files/mulitracks which sounded OK at 48K, they now glitch.It appears to be a playback issue with AA CC 2019 not coping with 48K files for some reason, as other programs playback the same files and they sound totally clean. Nothing else has changed on my PC other than an upgrade from AA V3 to CC 2019.Has anyone else come acro

I'm using Audition to record dialogue. Recording individual lines as small clips. Each track housing up to 30 minutes of clips per character. Since the last few updates, the playhead is not behaving as expected. Roughly after the three minute mark, if I record a new clip and stop, the playhead jumps back to the start of the sequence instead of sticking to the end of the clip.I can open a new track and the behaviour returns to normal, until I hit the 3 minute mark where it starts to jump to the beginning.It seems to be a bug, since this wasn't happening a few updates ago. Wondering if anyone's run into the issue and has a potential fix.Cheers!

How can I advance through audio slowly when I am very zoomed in? I need to find transient noises like mouth clicks that are only milliseconds long, but when I am that zoomed in, I can't figure out how to move my view left and right. The little handle in the timeline at the top works fine when I am NOT zoomed in, because it is large enough to grab with my mouse. But when I am that zoomed in, the handle in the timeline becomes so small that I cannot make fine movements.In Audition 3.0, I could just drag the bottom of the main audio edit screen. So this is another growing pain from moving to CC.Maybe this picture will make it more clearThoughts? Thanks!Ken

I am working on my first attempt at a podcast.I have some music on one track. I have lowered the volume of the music on that track when the audio begins on another track. It all sounds exactly like I want it to on Audition. However, when I export it to an mp3 file & it plays back on iTunes, the volume isn't adjusted.Can you help me figure out what I'm doing wrong?Thanks in advance!

adobe audition will input text and gives out speech, but i need some pause  for 5 seconds or my own timing, is there any program language for this to give pause in between for speech

Greetings,    I'm using Audition CC 12.0.1.34 on a late 2016 Macbook Pro.    I have a Voice Over track where I need to have the Loudness to be normalized (highs reduced, lows raised).    I tried using Speech Volume Leveller as an Effect on the Track, and tried pulling the sliders to change settings.    However, I find that when I change the value of "Target Volume Level", it resets back to -12db. Ditto with the other settings.    The Preset I used was "Custom".    Even more puzzling, was that the Output level of the Voice Over is approximately -3 to -5 db.    I've attached a Screengrab.    Any ideas on how to fix this?    Thanks in advance for your help.Regards,Rajnesh

Hi.  It's coming up Christmas and they're cutting down trees...  Oh sorry - if you could take a minute out of your runup to Christmas and enlighten me on this one, I'd be postively festive.I just imported some three-minute clips into a new session of Audition.  The clips appear tiny and the zoom navigator up top defaults to 21 min. If I expand the clips to fill the screen, the zoom navigator almost disappears.How do I adjust the relationship between the size of the clip onscreen and the time duration for the zoom navigator? I thought it might be in Preferences>Multitrack Clips, but no.  Is it something I do to the clip or is it something I do to the zoom navigator?

It can be done, I just don't remember how to do it.

Hi,I do a lot of voice narrations and voice overs for learning content. I use Audition mostly for this as the quality of the audio can be managed much better.The issue is that I have to use text files for the script and it is often a juggle to manage the recording and have the text file on the screen at the same time.It would be really useful if Audion could integrate a script/narration window within the interface so that reading the script and controlling the recording etc could be easier?

Hello Adobe users,I was trying to update my version of adobe cc 2015 to adobe cc 2019 and now I have both versions on my task bar. Do I just un-install the old version or will it un-install when I shut down my computer and then start it up again? I've been trying to edit and refine the audio from a video file that I've been working on in Premiere. And whenever I try to open the file, or save it or apply a filter, I get an error. "Audition has encountered an error reading or writing to disk. We recommend you save your work and restart audition." So it crashes, I restart audition and the same error comes up.I've tried opening the file, a .mp4 file, straigh in Audition, same error as when I right-click in Premiere and try and select "Edit in Adobe Audition." The difference being that when I open it in Audition itself, the error message comes up and it crashes, where as with opening it via Premiere, the error comes up but the file still opens, but when I try and apply a filter, or save it etc. the error message returns and then crashes.I've previously had no issue with editing premiere audio via audition...

I want to be able to highlight a selection and play it, have it stop at the end and then when I hit play again I want it to start again and only play the selection. As it stands now when I hit play the second time it just plays the remainder of the audio file. But I don't want it to loop. I only want it to play the highlighted selection each time I press play. Any help?

Hi,I have Audition CS6 which I purchased and have a key for. I tried opening it today and I'm told to renew my CC subscription. Do I now need a CC subscription to open a non CC application that I bought?

Unless I'm missing something, it appears the Randomize Track Color option has been removed in Audition 2019/Appearance? Personally I don't care for multi-tracks populated with randomly selected funky colors. I realize how others might find it efficient. I would prefer a static color option allowing for possible customization after creation. All subjective, of course. I've sent feedback.-paul.@produceNewMedia

Hello community!I have some projects with CAF files in it.Everything it was working perfectly on the CC 2018 (v11.1.0), but since I upgraded to CC 2019 (12.0.0 or 12.0.1), these CAF files hasn't been reading.CC 2018:CC 2019:Right now I have both versions installed, because I need this files to work.But someone knows if thats some bug or if something changed on the new version?Thank u so much!J.

I'm wondering how everyone's been finding the stability of CC2019. (At least the Windows version.) Ever since it came out, I've been using it (Build 12.0.0.241) side-by-side with CC2018 (Build 11.1.1.3).I love everything about the new version, especially the new colors and the clip waveforms scaling (and I'd love to see more of that sort of thing in future releases!) But I am finding it buggy. The main thing that seems to happen is occasionally hearing muted tracks in playback and/or unmuted tracks not being heard in playback. Just restarting Audition seems to slap the program upside the head and fixes it, but this gets to be pretty annoying and I find myself running back to CC2018 just for the stability.Is anyone else having this problem or any other oddities?

Hi, I'm using Audition CC 11, in the "Audio File" mode. I want to do something that I think should be really simple, which is to save a copy of the current WAV file I am working on as an MP3. The best way I've found to do that is File > Export > File, but that defaults to appending a "_01" suffix to the file name of the MP3 file. For example, if the file I am working on is "Song.WAV" and I export, I get "Song_01.mp3".I really it's easy to rename manually but I do this often and would rather save a step. I'm also wondering if maybe I'm missing something about what the export feature is designed for (i.e., what is the use case where you'd want the _01) and if there's a better way to do what I want?Thanks!

I had to replace a clip in one of the track, so I grouped everything after that clip so they stay in place. But after I ungrouped them, they all became the same track but with the right in and out points. Is there anyway to fix this? I'm using the CC 2019 version

I need help I accidentally deleted the Hip Hop Vocal Chain preset from the effects rack.

I tried Adobe's chat tech support, he remote connected me amd had no solution.I connect the Presonus Faderport (single channel) the exact way Adobe's control surface support page tells me to.Nothing at all works.It is a lie that Audition CC offers "native support" for the Faderport. The instructions do not work, and Adobe's own tech support chat could not figure it out. Are there any work-arounds?Even the "button assign" section has ZERO of the Faderport's ACTUAL buttons. Crazy that adobe promotes native support, I spend all this money and its not true. PLEASE help.

Hello guys,I am pretty sure this topic has been beaten to death already, and there is a simple fix for it, but I failed to make a perfect clean up for the audio. I have an audio, with one person speaking but the bg noise is sooooo loud and his voice is so low, I could barely make any changes without not altering his voice. As you can imagine, it sounded robotic and alienish. How can I add just the opening of an effect window to Favorites? For example, I just want to open the Noise Reduction effect with one click. Then I will do the actions of capturing the noise print and picking the level on NR, etc. from there. So far, I've only seen how to "record" a favorite, which seems only to apply a very specific action of applying an effect without letting me choose settings, etc. If I've misread this, please set me straight. Thanks!

Salve a tutti, ho un problema nell'esportare una sessione multitraccia su audition.Praticamente quando vado ad esportare l'intera sessione composta in totale da 8 tracce, mi esporta solo la traccia primaria (la base della canzone) e non mi esporta le altre tracce registrate con il microfono. Non so cosa fare, ho provato a selezionare tutte le clip ed esportarle ma ho sempre lo stesso problema, anche selezionando tutto il tempo, come posso risolvere?
