Dear Audition Gurus I am working on a podcast with seven interviews that we are intercutting. Each interview has two tracks: Our host, and the guest. That makes about 20 tracks altogether. I tried editing all this in a giant layout, with each on its own track, plus MX, VO, NATSND, and SFX. Audition did not like this, at least with my computer (I have 16gb of RAM and multiple storage devices, but I got very confused, and Audition did not like it.) My next strategy was to edit each interview separately, with just the two tracks, producing a single session file for each guest with the two edited and synced tracks. I am pretty much done with this. NOW... deep breath ... I am ready to do the final assembly. I'm including a screengrab here of the "Master Template" that I've created for this -- showing each Guest and corresponding Host track. I am pausing here to plot out the best way of approaching this.
Hi... I'm trying to find or create a Keyboard Shortcut that will let me Select Previous Clip in Current Track. I see there is a "Select Next Clip in Current Track." I also see a "Select Previous Track." So... Please please let there be an option for this or a work-around...Here is what I need to do. Maybe some other keystroke can help me do what I need:I make an edit and want to replay what I edited and continue playing. Right now, after I make my edit, the clip is selected and will only play the clip then stop. Hmmm, maybe I just need to "Deselect All" (Comm-D) then hit the spacebar to start my playing... Well, if anyone has any more extensive "power moves" for deselecting AND MOVING the playhead, please let me know... I'll also study my need more in case I've described it badly. I'm doing a LOT of edits and want to move fast, using keystrokes. Right now I need to continuously use my mouse -- bad workflow. Thanks!
Hello everyone! I recently recorded something but accidentally chose the wrong i/o buffer size. The recording now sounds like a lot of static. Is there a way to save this recording or is there no way to fix it?
Need to know what am i going into my Imac from my master out (RCA) Dj ControllerUSB or Thunderbolt????? to record my mixes in Adobe Audition????Helllpppppppppp
How is volume maximizing done in Audition to achive this sort of waveform used in modern Mastering. was the file Hard limited or was another plugin use.Plugin and settings
When I apply the dynamics processing effect, it works perfectly, but the preview doesn't work. I'm talking the blue area under the curve. It just doesn't seem to waht to show up
I have a vocal recording that is quite asymmetrical - most of the waveform is on the top part of the center line. Here is a pic of it: I've never seen this before. Is there a way to center it, making it symmetrical, such that an equal amount of the waveform appears above and below the center? The audio sounds OK. And Normalizing putting a tick in the DC Bias box at 0% does nothing other than normalize the level. Symmetry remains same.Thoughts? Thanks!
I've recently purchased a MixPre-6 recorder. I've got it working as an interface in Windows 10. Since the ASIO driver is unsigned, Microsoft tries to block it. I spoke to Sound Devices and they helped me turn off the Driver Signing requirement in Windows and so the driver works fine. Apparently, they have a new signed ASIO driver coming out in a few weeks. Everything works fine. I can record all 4 inputs, as well as the stereo L and R channel, as well as the stereo mix. I monitor the recording through the headphone jack in the MixPre-6. When I play the recorded tracks down in Audition, I can't hear any sound. I've tried to plug the headphones into the laptop as well but I also get no audio. I have selected the MixPre-6 as both the input and output devices in the Sound Settings in Windows 10. The microphone test works, but the speaker test does not - regardless of whether the headphones are plugged into the MixPre or the Laptop. In Audition, the Hardware and mapping settings are also se
I sent a sequence to Audition via Dynamic Link and did a Surround Mix on it. I have a Surcode Dolby Plus license. I then tried to export my session in Audition straight to AME using the File > Export > Export with Adobe Media Encoder. But when I do that it opens AME and starts exporting it, but the video shows as offline (red offline image). Any ideas why this is happening? To get around it I'm having to mixdown the surround mix, bring that into Premiere and export from there. But I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong within Audition that the exported session is coming up with all the video OFFLINE.
Hi everyone,Sorry if this issue has already been solved but I am kinda new to Adobe Audition and I think I just encountered a bug while using the Automatic Pitch Correction Effect.Just after I edited a voice recording, I selected one of the clips to correct a small clipping artefact using the Automatic Pitch Correction Effect with a 5px width. After I was happy with my result, I came back on the multitrack panel to listen to my edit one last time before exporting as a wav file. However, I noticed that my export was empty, and when I came back on my session, it appeared that almost everything in every single ones of my clips had been erased, except a really small frequency band between 18kHz and 20kHz.Luckily, I was able to find a backup session to recover my work.Has everyone ever encountered such an issue or has any idea why would that happen ? Is it just a bug or did I do something wrong ? Thanks in advance for your help, I hope everything was easy to understand as English is not
Hi,I just installed the latest Kontakt Player on the latest Macbook Pro, but the latest version of Audtion can't find it during VST scan. The name of the app is visible, but grayed out, in the Finder window. Kontakt Player does work as stand-alone. Any idea what's wrong?
Hello,I am trying to find out how MP3 files are being saved. I open an .mp3 file, cut some parts away from it in Audition and Save it. The result is about 60 percent larger than the original. Why? Audition cannot preserve the original parameters of the mp3 file so it makes some resampling? Thanks.
I am having an odd problem with my waveform display. My waveforms are rendering, but only as lines rather than the filled-in waveforms that are the norm. I have included screen grabs at various magnifications just to show that this is not an issue of being too zoomed in to the waveform, but instead happens in all views. Is there a setting I am not aware of that changes the way waveforms are displayed?I am working in Adobe Audition 12.01.34 and and running Mojave an a mac book pro.
I'm editing a multitrack session for a podcasts. All of a sudden the tracks are playing from the left speaker only, however one of the track shows left/right waveform. I've tried converting the sample type on the mono clips, which works on the visual aspect of the waveform, but still plays only the left speaker. I'm pretty new to this, so i'm assuming it's something i've messed with on the output settings... Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
I cannot figure out how to use this panel. No matter what I do it says "no selection" even though I have a recording open.
Trying out editing a podcast in audtion instead of Ableton live and its not going great. Litterally everytime I do anything in audtion my audio hardware settings are changed. Launch the program - settings are changed. Add an audio file - settings are changed. Try and export - settings are changed. Hit play - settings are changed. The list goes on but it ultimately causes the audio to not play, or if it does play, its just loud static noise. ** When I say audio hardware settings, I am refering to audio driver, bit depth and sample rate. They are constantly reverting/ changing to settings that don't work!! This does not happen in Audacity or Ableton or any other audio software. So whats the deal? Is Audtion always this wacky?
I need information for below questions please. Sir, In my home location seldomely there is vehicle announcement for advertisement. I assume there is facility for preparing the same. Would like to know the following : - Can I use adobe audition to record voice for annoucement ? - Is there voice from itself and can I change voice for that itself ? e.g. : heavy voice, and thin voice etc.... - What are the facilities in adobe audition to do this. - Can I include music in that in between some sentences ?Thanks in advance.
I'm editing a message and i'm failing to save it, its saying, The specified location is reserved by the oparating system and is not permitted. Please choose a diffrent location.
I'm trying to create a basic surround mix of a film we just finished editing. I don't have surround speakers to test (I'm using a 2.1 setup), but I have access to the movie theater we are playing the film at this weekend to run as many tests as I need. Just finished watching Jason Levine's great 5.1 tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcYqm42QTbo&t=3032s BUT... There's no longer the Dolby options. 1) What do I do now since I can't export to Bluray or H264 files using Dolby? How can I create a simple surround mix for the theater? 2) When exporting the sequence into Audition it had a few errors: a) Bezier Keyframes were converted to linear (okay, I can deal with that I guess)b) Some audio clips have gain values beyond 15.00 dB. They have been lowered to the maximum gain value of 15.00 dB. (this one really stinks)c) 3 of the 8 effects referenced by the file could not be found: Highpass, Lowpass, Bandpass. T
Setup: 2 wave-files of 2 Mics, the Mics were mounted on table and 2 Persons had a discussion about a topic, they were sitting next to each other on the table and talking into their mic. I created a Multitrack-Session in Adobe Audition and Synced the 2 wave-files whitin it (head slate/clap). They are synced perfectly but now if I listen to the discussion we have a slight but very noticably echo / reverb because the sound of Person 1 recorded in Mic 1 gets into Mic 2 some milliseconds later and quieter and vice versa. This creates a echo / reverb in the Master Out of Multitrack Session for both Persons. My question now is: How to "automatically" mute an audiotrack in multitracksession, when I have a specific decibel level where below it, the track should be muted and above it the track should be active (not muted)? That could fix the problem. Or does anybody else have a great idea how i can fix this problem? Thank you very much for you help, I'm pumped for your repli
can anyone tell me how it is possible when i record a miditrack in adobe 3.0.1 within a session of 170 bpm that on another daw like cubase that same midifile is much slowe
Hello This recording has so much of noise. Is it possible to clean it so that the speech is understandable?
I was 16 chapters into my audiobook when my Rode 3 NT-USB mic got splashed with some water. I used a blow dryer on it just in case, but when went to record the volume of my voice was so loud it was distorting the recording. It was also picking up way more ambient room noise than normal. I was able to finish the book using the "loudness" settings for ACX, but I really wasn't happy with how the last chapters sounded. I decided to order a new mic thinking mine was damaged, however, I just hooked it all up and it does the exact same thing. Ruling out the mic as the cause, I now have to think there is a setting that I accidentally changed on Adobe Audition CC 2018. Normally I get a -12 to -6 db level with my voice and now I am getting the redline pegged out past 0 db with just a normal conversational voice level. Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated! Cheers, Tim
I'm editing a sound file. As I work along I sometimes would like to add a "sticky note" or annotation to a location in the recording to remind me of a chore I need to do there. (Such as "re-record!") I'd like to be able to add color-coded notes -- even notes that are big and flashy. But this doesn't seem to be possible. The closest thing I can find is the MARKER function. I'm not sure what markers do but I see that I can use a marker to flag or tag a location in my sound file. Then I can change the name of the marker to something to get my attention or remind me of the chore. But this seems very limited. So I thought there might be some other full-featured tool I can use to add notes to my sound file projects. (I notice the recent question that seems somewhat close to mine, and the answer was to use markers, etc.)
