When recording some radio spots recently, I noticed that I have no problem recording one, then mixing then going back to the waveform file, I start to record spot 2 behind it but get no waveform printing on the screen. I have to open a new sound file to continue. Any ideas why this is happening?
Hey all, this will be my first post here, hello!I have done some searches on the VoCo project that Adobe showed a few years ago but cannot find a lot of updates. It seems like most everything I have found looks to point to the direction that the project is not set for inclusion in any Adobe products any time soon which is a shame, but understandable as to why it might not be included considering the incredible power that is wields. I am an artist that is working on an experimental film that the VoCo project/process seems absolutely perfect for. Rather than to use it to recreate another humans voice in the sense of mimicry, I want to use it in an experimental way (that I can talk further about if you all are at all interested). I am curious if there is any good avenue for connecting with the staff at Adobe to see if there is a way for me to use the project? Or to at the very least start a dialog with someone to explain why I see it as a great fit for what I am doing. I would love to lea
I have both Premiere Pro CC 2018 and CS6 on my computer, which I keep because I have several old projects I want to be able to open with their obsolete effects.I've just installed Audition, and when I try to export to Premiere Pro, it opens CS6. I looked around in preferences and did not manage to find a way to change this so it will open the film in CC 2018.Thanks for your assistance.
It never did this before. I can record in other audio software on my PC with no hiss/no trouble. It's just doing it on AA. Levels are all set well.Any suggestions?
Hi everyone.I have an android video taken of my father in law singing along to a song. He has just passed away 2 days after Christmas. I'm trying to either remove the song, or the vocals, or just lower the volume of the song and enhance my father in laws (Ron) voice. If anyone could tell me if it's possible and if it is, guide me through the process I would be eternally grateful.I want to clean it up the best I can for my mom in law, thanks.

HiI am a long-time Pro Tools user now trying to learn Audition CC. I use a MixPre-3 as an external audio device, with very good quality microphones; it connects to my MacBook Air via USB. I'd like to be able to record live from the mics through the MixPre, directly into Audition, but can't figure out what I need to do in Audition to get it to recognize the MixPre. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks very much.
Hi there,I normally use Audition to record my stuff with and making markers, but this time I used the Zoom Livetrak L-12 also with markings. However I'm experiencing some troubles when using markers, I'm currently recording some ensemble work, and marking between every take instead of starting a new track. When opening wavefiles in Audtition I can't see my markers. I've seen some posts in here with some of the same problems with previous versions of both audition and zoom recorders. Could there be a possibility to extract the markers and use them anyway? Thanks
I'm trying to figure out if I can build a website on Dreamweaver and use the Audition SDK to automate audio editing functions on the back end. Also, does anyone know if you can use Audition and Premiere Pro web services with an AWS EC2 instance?
As the title says, I am getting a clipping sound, despite the recording being well below the mic threshold. It makes any audio around it unusable, as I am saying sentences and sentences rely on making sense and therefore, need to be unedited.I have inserted a picture of the likely culprit (the waveform on either side is smooth, and this is a sudden "dip" to nearer 0dB - it is clearly some kind of "cut-off" in the mic's audio. The strange things are that this hasn't happened previously, only on this recording, and the waveform doesn't show it as flat - there is possibly some kind of voltage noise still being recorded. My current theories are:Some other process is momentarily interrupting the recording by some unknown method (unlikely). There is some problem with the mic that is making it stop recording for a millisecond, causing an audible clicking sound (fairly likely)This is a hardware problem with the USB connection to the mic.My system specification, and Audition CC setup, is below. Hello,I am producing radio documentaries and can't find features, in an Audition CC Multitrack session, that are really needed for this kind of work (which do exist on more orientated radio production editing softwares). I went through Audition tutorials without success... Merging and un-merging clips in multitrack session: I would like to merge several clips into one single clip, to get the visual appearance of a single clip BUT I need to keep the ability to un-merge it in separate clips in case I need to make a new edit. When clips are merged together with the 'merge clips' command, they become a new clip with no way back. Is there any way of getting a visual appearance of a merged single clip without physically producing a new clip ? Preventing clips in a group from crossfading with the next or previous clip when moving the group on the timeline: After grouping clips together (cmd-G), is there any way of blocking the clips inside a group from moving a bit or crossfading when I
I recorded an event that I was not allowed to put a microphone on the table. the only place I was allowed was under the table. The problem was that every time a person moved on stage there is a knocking sound in the track.Over an hour of a track, there is more than 500 same knocking sound. Is there a way to remove all the knocking sound at once?
Hey guys!Whenever my audio device is disconnected in Audition, it sets all track inputs to "None". I then have to define the input for each track individually which is quite cumbersome... Is there any other way to do this? Can I define the input for multiple tracks at once? Thanks for your answers!
Hey guys!I was just wondering if it is possible to tell Audition to automatically arm the selected track for recording and "de-arm" all other tracks. This is the way it works in Cubase and since i just started with Audition I was hoping to keep up my workflow. Thanks for your answers!!Alex
I'd like to try and use Audition to setup and do live recordingsto my laptop when there's a sound board that will accommodate it. Is there a tutorial, or link that will guide me through that? I don'twant to have to learn through mistakes.Ron Beatteaywww.pixations.com
On Audition 1.5, there was a preset in Dynamics Processing called "2:1. -20 Fast Drums." It was a good tool to even out your levels. That's not a part of this new version. It there a preset similar? Or something else I can do?TS
I have a problem maybe someone can help me with:I have Audition Version 6 and am running Windows 7. When I try to live record sounds from say.. You Tube that is clearly stereo, it records it in dual mono. When I ask it to record a "New"/Audio File.the box opens up and I insert the name and sample rate of 44100. It automatically shows stereo and bit dept of 32(float). Then I hit "OK"..... When I hit record it starts recording fine, but you can tell by the display level meters it is clearly recording dual mono. The sound coming thru the speakers is clearly stereo buy it's recording dual mono not stereo. Even music with a lot of separation between channels, the left and right lever meters stays exactly at the same recording levels! I updated my sound card and HD audio device, and still no change....(When I import a stereo track it acts normal b.t.w, and plays in stereo)Any help would be appreciated, I'm at my wits end!
I begin recording in the Multitrack and 5.5 insists on saving it as a .wav file. At our company we only record at 320Kbps, 48Khz, Stereo .mp3 files. How can I change the default in 5.5?
Hi All,I'm considering switching to Audition as my full time editor because of how great I think the current workflow is for markers. (I work with interviews, so being able to log the time and then see those sections when I move over to multitrack editing is truly great.)However, before I do this, I want to be totally clear on how markers are saved and how they work, and I can't find this information readily available. So sorry of this is a n00b question, but:1) Are markers saved to the file itself, or to that sidecar .pkf file?2) In either case, does file renaming affect retaining markers? What I'm really hoping I can do is keep all of my original raw interviews in one place and drag their marked sessions into various multitrack projects as needed.Any insight here would be much appreciated. All best,Craig
Today when I opened my Audition project to continue mixing, my clip waveforms all look like the attached picture. Is there a waveform image cache in Audition I can try to toss and rerender? Other suggestions? The audio is there when I play through it. Just can't see the waveform any longer.Thanks.Don Hertz
Hello,I believe that Audition upsampled the .wav files during an analog multitrack transfer due to Windows resetting the interface sample rate. I had Audition sessions set to 32-bit float/96kHz, but frequency analysis shows the cutoff to be nowhere near the Nyquist level of 48kHz. In fact, the cutoff is between 24kHz-25.5kHz, instead of 48kHz:Is it going to be okay if Audition actually did upsample the incorrect interface setting of 48kHz to the sessions' 96kHz rate? Will I have to retransfer all of the analog multitracks? In a nutshell, it appears that I have 96kHz files containing 48kHz information.Thank you,Eric
I have a podcast with 2 co-hosts, 3 people in total. I have an XLR mic and a mixer that goes into my PC. My co-hosts have an analog mic and are both in 2 separate locations. We record on Skype and it goes through my mixer into 1 audio channel. Is it possible to record the 3 of us on 3 separate channels using Skype as well as multitrack in Audition? The ideal situation would be to have 3 separate channels on the multi-track for myself, 2nd mic, and 3rd mic. I'd want to record all 3 at the same time. Am I missing equipment? Could it be my settings? Is this even possible? One solution is to record my audio and they record theirs separately on Audacity or some other program and I sync it up in post-production but it'd obviously be easier if we could record them all at once in 3 different channels.
Hello,I've been recording directly into the multitrack editor in Audition CC for my podcast. I have no effects applied to the channels I'm working with while recording except the Multiband Compressor and Parametric Equalizer that was automatically applied to the master. I've been using a Mac with an AudioBox USB for an interface (with phantom power on), Shure SM58, and Audio Technica AT2020. The computer is a MacBook Pro, with a 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM, and Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB Graphics running High Sierra version 10.13.1 and Audition CC build 10.1.1.11. It's been working great until I tried to record a segment with just one mic-the Audio Technica, and it resulted in a choppy and echoing mess in playback. I've listened to the file in Finder's audio player and it sounds the same. Here's the unedited file: Problematic File - Google Drive. Is there any way I can salvage the audio for use in the podcast? It would be considerably difficult to record t
Anybody running latest Waves V10 plug ins with Audition CS6 on a mac running El Capitan ?
I have a group of clips on two tracks that I want to move within the multitrack view. They move as a whole, but unsync from one another when snapping to other clips. These have all been razored collectively, there is no reason for them to not snap together. Turning off snap to ruler helps a bit, but it still doesn't work. Why is this a feature and how do I turn it off?Grouping doesn't help. It should, but it doesn't. The top clip seems to snap correctly, but then the bottom one is still free-floating.
