I am editing an audiobook in Audition CC2019 (almost done!). I have a chapter where one character is too loud relative to the others. I would LIKE to be able to go through the file and mark all the places where her voice appears, set a common level to each of these sections at one time, like with keyframes in the pitch effect. Can't find anything on this in the User Guide. Thanks!Rob
Greetings Adobe Audition experts! In the coming week I will be attempting to record multitrack audio from an Allen & Heath QU-16 on a MacBook Pro with OS 10.14. I will be using Thunderbolt adapters to connect the USB cable from the QU-16 to the Mac. Has anyone done this before and found it to work easily, or are there difficulties that I need to be aware of? At this time, I don't have the mixer at hand so I have not done my own experimenting yet. -Ben
I found a question from 2012, but I can't believe this has still not been addressed 6 years later, so I'm asking again. How is it not possible to save a project in Audition? I was working on a project and had to go to bed, and my computer decided to upgrade and reset. Well, when I opened Audition, it erased all of the work I had done on the multitrack. So now I get to do the whole thing over again. How can I prevent this in the future?
when i try to convert any sound file from mono to stereo "great" Audition CC get crash... It's f*cking unbearable. I can't do simple operations. Program that use my money can't work... Audition 1.5 was better than that sh*t... Sorry for for the emotions, but it's realy poor performance of developers.
Okay, I have the Extend Tool bracket at the right side of the recording in Multitrack. I'd like to extend it out further so I can more clearly do my fade in/fade out, but bracket only let me go out to roughly 1 min.Why can't I extend further? Or can I only extend in Edit "mode" if I want to trim or eliminate or whatever?
Wave files are controlled by Adobe Audition and Gold Wave respectively, and the volume is adjusted with automatic gain. Use cbr.In the case of an Adobe Audition, however, the file length will vary.It will not match the video.I would like to continue using the Adobe Audition.
As the title suggests, I'm having an issue where I can't get Audition to export audio files back to Premiere Pro. Usually when I'm in Premiere Pro I can "edit in audition", do my editing in the multitrack sequence (in this case, extend the audio using the remix function) and then export it back to Premiere Pro. Everything was working fine until one day it wasn't.Now when I export to Premiere it looks like Audition is loading, but Premiere Pro never opens up and the audio track never appears. I am also unable to select the check box "Open in Adobe Premiere Pro" because it is greyed out. Seems like something is funky with the link between Premiere and Audition but I'm not sure what. What's funny is going from Premiere to Audition is no problem, only going back from Audition to Premiere is where I see the issue.Any ideas?
Hello, I recorded a podcast on Mono with two mics and two people talking. I want to change each track to stereo. When I convert the sample type it changes the track in the waveform view to stereo but when I go back to multi track it is only playing out of one ear and displays as a mono waveform. Would love some help! Best,Blake
I used remix option to change the duration of an audio file all the time but after I updated to 2019, it crashes every single time whenever I click enable remix and I cant use it anymore Any help? Is there any other way I can change the duration time or fix enable remix option?
Hi, I need to clean the audio track, unfortunately, it was recorded with strange static.I've tried DeClicker and it sort of works, but not perfectly. And since this is a continuous, repetitive clicking, I thought there may be another way to do that.Audio link: https://vocaroo.com/i/s0UkLzPFT2fL Thanks for help!
Hi All,My students have been trying to record in studio. A setting might have been changed because now everything they are recording is giving an echo when recording. We did notice the internal mic was on instead of the USB port part of the audio being used. We have corrected that but the echo still continues.Could someone please assist me.Nic
I'm trying to combine multiple clips and remove the silence between them but there is an obvious short pause that leads to a "skipping" quality to the overall track when combined. I've tried removing the silence on the combined file but it's still leaving traces of dead silence that leave that skipping sound. Is there an easier way to remove these silent portions by automatically placing the clips over each other using a manual overlap measurement, or is there another way to scan for silence that lasts less than 10ms?
I am working on 40 programs of about 35 min each in a series for kids. I have been trying to complete them by exporting to one mp3 file from the multitrack. Sometimes it works, sometimes it says change the sample rate, sometimes it doesn't do anything and just sits there. I work in a consistent sample rate, and I've never had this problem before. If I can't mix down, I can't finish the programs. Arghhh. Please help me using step by step instructions. I am an educated person, but frankly, the info in the manual is Greek to me at times.Thank you for your help.
is there and easy way to align choruses and hooks in multitrack view? usually I copy and paste...and then line them up by ear. which seems to be a bit tedious and sometimes time consuming, but ive always done it like that since I was self taught in audition. so now im wondering if theres an easy way to do this in the program to make them line up correctly in beat, if so can someone lay out step by step directions. thanks!
Hi there. Is there a way to change the pitch like 3/5 higher but preserving the tune ?So I'm singing a song, but I wanna do it like with a minion voice. If I sing it normal, then I change the pitch, the tune of both song and voice won't match.A bit tricky.
Does Audition offer Closed Captioning?
Hello all, Excuse my ignorance in this matter. I have been trying to figure this out for the longest, I think I may have figured it or reading through some material. I am recording for a podcast I'll have to look when I get home, but I think the speech volume leveler effect is on when I record and when I go to Normalize to -0.1 db in post the audio is loud and hissing. Should I only be using one? I try to normalize it because even with the gain adjusted to give me levels around -10 db I get no activity on the track volume. So should I not be normalizing in post? Any help would be great.
Hello,I've been recording an audio book for the last few months and am coming to the final chapters. However, I turned on Adobe Audition last week and, when recording, the sound levels are much lower than when I recorded previously. I've replaced both my microphone and sound adapter thinking it may be these but nothing has changed. The sound levels are considerably different and I haven't changed any settings in Adobe. Can anyone advise how to increase volume during recording or before recording? Thanks in advance!
I know a few ways of cutting, my favorite being to hit the R button, which is for the razor, but the problem with it is that I have 3 layers of audio, and I don't want it to be cutting my other two tracks, which it does, I am using a Multi track session, Thanks in advance lemme know if you have any questions
hello i am having problems with cutting music from my second track
Hello,Does anyone know why the "arm for record" tab is greyed out? All the drivers are up-to-date, it is the latest version of audition and the same microphone works currently with voice-overs on premiere. I have been using audition for about 2 months to do podcasts and never had an issue but tonight this started happening.I updated to the newest version of audition (12.0)and still nothing. Please help!
Hi everyone,I am in the process of starting a podcast, and purchased a Soundcraft Signature MTK 12 to use with Audition CC2018. As a test I just want to record to 3 channels simultaneously. I have Mics plugged into 1 and 2 on the mixer, and have an iphone plugged into 3 which i want to record as well. I have the first three tracks of the multitrack interface set up the first three channels of the mixer. I have armed them, but only tracks 1 and 2 will record. Additionally, if I move one of the mics to channel 3 on the mixer it will no longer record, even in track three of the multitrack interface, which has its input set to channel three of the mixer. How can i use more of the channels to record than just 1 and 2? I have set the audio input to ASIO and have access to all 14 input channels, but only the first 2 will record.Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hi Forum,i have just recently started using Audition to edit the studio recording Files from my band. Been using the Version 11.1.1 for most of the time, but then 12.0 arrived.Thing is though I tried to start 12.0, the initial screen showed up but then immediately the Adobe Crash Report Window Popped up. As far as i can recall v 12.0 worked once but now every time it tries to start up it just crashes. Maybe some Cache problem? Can anybody help?:) v 11.1.1 is also a pain in the buttex because when I add a effect to a channel, like for example distortion. it also crashes. Thanks, maybe i'm not the only one. My Pc:Windows 10 Pro 64bit, 16GB Ram, AMD FX 8350 Eight-Core Processor 4.00GHz, SSD 500GB
Can my ancient Tascam US144 be used with the current Audition CC? It is not the MKII. Does anyone on here use a US144 currently?
My company still has us on AA3, which is fine -- I love it, except for one massively frustrating behavior I can't seem to find a solution for. If I'm in the edit view, select part of an audio file and right-click>Insert To Multitrack, it inserts the file on a new track that it creates. For example, if my session has five tracks and I do an Insert to Multitrack, now I have six tracks instead of inserting the clip someplace on one of the five existing tracks. In previous versions, it wouldn't create a new track unless I specifically did so, and that's what I want. This link -- Home Recording -- suggests that there's a checkbox in the "Multitrack Clips section," but I can neither find that section, nor can I find any mention of it in a Google search. My new(ish) computer rejects 1.5 for some reason, so there's no going back. Anyone have an idea on how to stop this infuriating behavior?
