Hi Adobe,At the moment I record in the following:Sample Rate : 44100Channels : MonoBit Depth: 16and when transfering this wav file to mp3, it is in MP3 192 Kbps CBRI have a customer that asked for a better quality mp3 audio, and I was wondering how I would make an mp3 to one of the better levels of quality such as 256 or 320.Any helps is much appreciated and apologies if this is a terrible question, I'm not the most tech savvy individual! All the best,-Christian
I am trying to work in Audition CC, but do not seem to have the Remix button as an option. Can anyone suggest why?
I am having a hard time understanding exactly what some of the stuff in D.P. means. Here are some of the screen shots I took to give you an example to base my query on. Can some explain what the vertical and horizontal lines mean in the graph? Also, a little of what the settings do? I found several things on line explaining what D.P. is, but nothing breaking down the graph/ and how the settings translate for audition. I also included a shot of my unedited track so you know what it looks like from the get.I would love to email someone a audio file of my show if they'd like to inspect raw file it's self to give me and idea of what I should be focusing on doing for future reference.PS. All of the questions I've had that have been answered have really helped me learn new things consistently, and I thank you guys/gals a lot!!
Hi. Im trying to get Audition 3.0 to record on windows 7. When I hit record I get a message that DirectSound is chosen and I would do better using and selecting a ASIO driver. There is no ASIO driver listed. When I installed ASIO4ALL still no dice.It must be something simple I am doing wrong. Can anyone help? Thanks,Dave
I was sent WAV files from two different sources, some are 16-bit depth, others are 24-bit depth. I have to edit them together in a multitrack session to make it sound like two people are talking to each other.I don't know much about Audition. Is that going to be a problem for any reason? Thanks.
I have Audition CC on my laptop and I recently got another laptop. I want to be able to switch between laptop to make my workflow better, a even have a mouse and keyboard share between them. Is there a way for me to get Audition to work on my second laptop? Cause I can't figure out if I can download it again.

Hi, I currently working on a film project in adobe audition and every time I export/mixdown the entire session (either in wav or aif) I get a completely silent file. I have all of my audio tracks routed to 5.1 buses for dialog, SFX, Music, foley and ambiences. The 5.1 buses are routed to a L&R Print Master (stereo bus) which is routed to the Master Track (which is 5.1). I've tried exporting/mixing down the Master track to 5.1 and stereo as well as the L&R PrintMaster (stereo bus) and they all come out silent. I've also tried creating a new session with all the audio tracks being routed to their respective 5.1 buses for dialog, SFX, foley, music and ambiences. The 5.1 buses are routed to a 5.1 PrintMaster bus (5.1 bus) which is routed to the stereo Master track. Even in this situation I get silent WAV and AIF files when I export/mixdown the Master track as well as the 5.1 print master. does anybody know what I'm doing wrong? Note: none of the buses or audio tracks are soloed.
Is that possible? I want to have more than one recording device in audition, I want to have a mix between a couple of channels, that all of them will go to the same one.Can I do that? Or will I just have to download Adobe Audition 1.5 just for that?
I've been using Adobe Audition since it was Cool Edit and I'm currently using CS6. I record my own music - acoustic guitar and voice. I go through a TC Helicon Play Acoustic to a Mackie ProFx8 mixer which serves as a digital interface with my iMac.I separate voice and guitar at the mixer, then multitrack in Audition to get the mix. A number of my songs mixed this way end up with wavering, warbling guitar tracks. The voice seems fine but the guitar is just awful. Is there something I can do to keep that from happening, or something I'm doing that causes to happen? Thanks
Hi, I'm working with students who are going to be producing short audio documentaries. I'm anticipating that they will have multiple semi-long interview files that will need to be edited down into something much shorter, and I'm trying to determine the best workflow for them in Audition. When working with video, I would subclip out a number of sections from the master clips to create more bite-sized pieces to work with, but I'm not sure how best to do that in Audition.I see two possible paths, though I'm still somewhat new to Audition: one, in waveform view, they create a bunch of marker ranges in the interview files and then export those out as individual files, though I worry about Noobs working in a destructive setting.Or, they place their "master" interview file on a track, create and label markers on that track, and drag what they need onto other tracks. But, that seems like a messy way to work and keep track of what's what. Any other suggestions for workflows for this kind of pro
Hi there,I'm trying to register my Adobe Audition CS6 product, but whenever I enter the serial number, it says that it is invalid. I cannot seem to get in contact with any support member and I need this for my work. Please help me!Maggie
OK, so I know that, when you create a marker, you can set its duration right away by setting a time selection first......but how can I quickly set the time selection to the length of a selected clip? Can't I CTRL-click on the clip or something to time-select the clip? This means I don't have to use time selection tool, or setting in and out points. (Which is slower)I've tried multiple things and I've googled for an answer. Is this something really obvious I'm missing, or is it really not a feature? This seems useful to be able to efficiently label clips - or more importantly - creating subclips.(Also, you can do this in Premiere Pro. It's called "Mark Selection", listed under the Markers menu.)
I can't seem to find similar threads that aren't just complaining about noticing a difference after running the process. My issue is: Literally nothing happens when I click on "Noise Reduction (Process)". Nothing at all...I capture a noise print, select the full clip, click the Noise Reduction... nothing. Try w/o capturing a print and still nothing.I've re-installed Audition and rebooted. No luck. What is going on?Here's a short video clip showing nothing happening as I try this: Noise Reduction: Literally NOTHING happens! - YouTube Please help, lol.
Hi, I need your help. How can I set loop points and crossfades within a part of an audio file and export everything as metadata to be imported and used in samplers like Kontakt or Falcon?
Hi everyone,I’m currently running Adobe Audition CS6 Version 5.0.2 Build 7 and we cannot find the Favourites Window to save ourselves! We’ve seen online tutorials with a Favourites window so we know it exists, but we can’t find it at all, let alone dock the window in our workspace to quickly apply commonly used effects.I believe we should be able to open it by going to the Windows tab and selecting “Favourites” just like you would “Effects Rack” or similar, but Favourites is not there! Can anyone please help? It’s driving me bonkers!
Hello! My name is Max and I purchased the CS6 a while ago and I have been recently trying to use Adobe Audition in order to record my voice, while at the same time using a camera to separately record with a camera. My plan is to use Premiere Pro to overlay the audio from the Camera with the Audition audio to make it so I can have quality audio with 60fps from the camera. However what seems to be happening is at random intervals (varying from 2 to 15 minutes apart) about 2-10 seconds of the recording is automatically being cut out. Meaning when I try to sync them up the Audition file is much shorter then the camera, and I am unable to sync it without going through the file, finding those spots that are cut, cutting them, then moving the audio to the right spot. It's possible for me to do that but it's very time consuming and very irritating, in many ways it's making projects take 2 or 3 times longer then they ever should. What can I do to fix this? I know my computer is fast enough to hand
Here is what I'm trying to do:I'm trying to have everything that's playing through the VLC Media Player to be played through my microphone's audio line, for example:If I watch a video (through the VLC Media Player), and talk to a guy, that guy will hear both me and the video I'm watching, is that possible?Thanks!doxiMAN_MAN
Please listen to the background audio that I haveLink: https://instaud.io/1gJr What parasitic frequency is that? How can I remove or avoid it?Thanks so much!!

I have rediscovered my Adobe Audition 1.5, which I regularly use to edit live recordings from mp3 formats. That's fineHowever I have rediscovered by Korg Legacy synth collection and am keen to start home composition using these and AuditionHowever, I seem to be unable to record audio directly and cannot see how to configure. I am running Win 10 at present so the legacy Win mixer program / applet is no longer there....Could anyone kindly point me in the right direction to enable me to record direct from my synths. At present it keeps defaulting to mic....Apologies for this fundamental type of question. Am not great at computers!!Kol
Evening gurus. I was told to come here to seek guidance on removing the buzz from a hot mic. I recently filmed a wedding and the DJ's mice was a bit too hot during the fathers toast and welcome speech. I did test with the DJ prior to the toasts, set my range, etc, had no issues. Come toast, I could hear how hot the speakers were while standing there and I knew I was in for some fun when I got home and listened to the DJ's line. Sure enough, hot mic. I did Lav the brides father too, but guess what...he pulled the mic out of the recorder by accident as he decided he wanted to wrap the cord around the recorder and shove it into his pocket, thus making the line taught without my knowledge. So, I'm stuck with the DJ's line for decent audio that isn't something from our cameras or Videomic's.I am hoping there is a solution to this conundrum in this group! I have put the .wav and .pkf files in my dropbox. Just a 14mb wav. Dropbox - Dad's Toast Hopefully someone is able to offer some guidance
Hi, my problem is probably very simple, but not for me. I want to record my voice in mono or stereo, but now I record stereo, but only on left channel. How to fix it? http://scr.hu/4gcc/18k7m
I have been told that it is difficult to share projects between MAC and Windows due to file system changes. I have not used audition for over three years now, and teams is new to me. Is this an issue, or does team resolve it?thank you
