I will try to make this as easy as possible a question. I am teaching myself how to edit audio messages to be burnt to a cd for a non profit that needed the help. For the most part I've got down what the employer is looking for in his messages, but then it is burnt to a cd and people say they are having trouble with the volume levels when it is played in the car stereo. The employer prefers it to be done as an mp3 format although I would like to switch to a more universal format because we are finding most of those receiving the cd's have no way to play an mp3 outside of their vehicles (that may be slightly off track or maybe you could suggest another format as well) When it is played in the car stereo they say the volume is too low. When I have edited though I have the volume at its highest peaks almost right at 0db. The audio messages can go from talking rather intimately to being very animated and rather loud as well so I have had to try and normalize it and compress it to make it a
When I select a section from the waveform and click "insert in multitrack" (existing), it pastes it at the very end of the timeline, no matter where I position the cursor. I've never run into this before (Audition 2018, PC)Thank you
Is there a way to tell AA that a piece of audio should have an average loudness of, say, -15 dB, and then perform the needed dynamics adjustments and normalizing such that the audio ends up with that average loudness? It seems like it would require AA to make certain "decisions" about compression settings that might not be what you actually want.At the same time, it also seems like it should be possible. If so, how would I go about doing that?In the past, I've done my own dynamics processing, checked the average volume, and did trial-and-error until I hit the target average (RMS using the older 3.0 version of AA).Thoughts? Thanks!
I have Adobe Auditions both pre CC version and CC version on different apples.I want to record streaming sound from online seminars etc.Is there a way of getting Auditions to record sound that comes through my computer. Its a real pain stopping and starting an online webinar/seminar to take notes and then write up my own thesis from this
Kindly confirm, I'm trying to export a session and "Save copies of associated files". When I "Copy entire source files", I have no problems. BUT when I "Copy source files trimmed to clip lengths", any "Handle Duration" I place from 23 frames to 10 seconds gives me an erroneous exported session. Erroneous in a sense that the media linked to the clips are either wrong or has drifted and has not synced properly.Using Audition CC 2018 Build 11.0.2.2 and Audition CC 2017 Build 10.1.1.11
Cant find this in the preferences hoping someone can help me outWhen I click on a clip in the multitrack view, (since this new update), the clip defaults to the pan rubberband instead of the volume rubberband, adding one more click in my workflow...

Hello,Every time I load Adobe Audition CS5.5 (mac version) I'm presented with an error 'A previous session of Audition quit unexpectedly. You may continue the session now, delete it or cancel to continue the session at another time'.I've tried to cancel, delete and continue and the error still pops up.I'm able to use the programme. It was originally a result of an issue with my default input and outputs.Any help would be hugely appreciated.Thank you!
To little or no avail, I asked before (and submitted a feature request) for zooming to a specific resolution. It occurred that perhaps there is a way via a "macro", Automator, Keyboard Maestro, QuickSilver, etc. (on a Mac).Has anyone had any success creating a "shortcut" or another device to select the Selection-Duration box in the Selection/View panel and entering a specified number (e.g.: 0:06)?
I've hit a point where I don't know what else to do. I've tried everything I know. I have audio from an interview and it sounds like we were in a can. If anyone can give me some advice I would be forever grateful. I'm including two portions of interview footage and the original soundPost Audio - Audio 1st & 2nd - YouTube Original Audio - https://youtu.be/Vp_zABMeQYo

Not one after another but to mix them in same play time so they play together.I have 4 tracks music left and right and effects left and right and i want to have 2 tracks M&E + M&E right.I was trying to bounce them to new track but that did not resulted to desired outcome. Thanks
Buenos días, el día de hoy descargué el demo de adobe audition y al iniciarlo me sale que audition no ha podido encontrar la carpeta archivos compartidos y se cierra automáticamente, que puedo hacer?
I updated, it was a huge mistake. Premiere sequences just wont go over to Audition no matter how I try. I can't import in Audition. I cant export in Premiere. Any thoughts on how I can get this working, or even a work around? Here's a video it not working for me:https://vimeo.com/263766262/23b9f5df31
Hi,I've read the new feature about AA CC that script can be run by command line to normalize audio loudness. Now I do need that kind of function to help my coworkers to set loudness of lots of sound tracks.Has there any body tried this function already?Thanksgood luck
Hey there,I'm working on a recording where the speaker has a fairly good microphone and on certain key-parts of his speech uses music (from background speakers) for his message. The problem ist, that the music is very muffled, and loses most of it's quality.I do have the .wav files of the music he uses. And no I'm trying to exactly match those (in the multitrack view) to the recorded music. I can get them to start roughly at the same time... But of course I can't match them exactly. Which is annoying, cause you can hear the music being out of tune, especially with drums etc.Is there a feature to exactly match to identical music clips to one another?I hope I explained that well enough, so that you guys can get what I mean Thanks already,Bernhard
For the past few days, crossfades in audition haven't been working correctly. Instead of a smooth transition between two clips, I get a volume boost in the middle of the crossfade. To demonstrate the issue, I've inserted a clip into a new multitrack session, added a split in the middle, and overlapped the two clips, as shown below. This is a clip crossfading into an identical clip, so in theory, when it's mixed down it should be identical to the original clip. However, when you compare the original with the mixdown, you can see a volume bump where the crossfade isOriginal:Mixdown:Any idea what would be causing this, and how to fix it?
I though this video might be helpful for people thinking about purchasing a control surface. https://youtu.be/buEN0OCk_0s
Hello,Every time time I use the Track Panner in a 5.1 session, it does this weird glitch. Basically, when writing the pan everything goes smoothy, however, when listening back the panner "freaks out" and will fly from left to right real quick. At first I thought I somehow did this without noticing, so I redo the pan, but sure enough it still does it.Depending on how long the clip is determines how many times the glitch happens, the longer the clip the more frequent the panner randomly pans left to right.I've tried writing a pan, locating where the glitch occurs, and using the "touch" option to fix it, but the glitch still happens and sometimes in a different spot.Hopefully, I've explained it well, it's hard to describe audio problems in words, but if I didn't explain it well enough I can link a audio clip of the glitch occurring in Google Drive. Thanks,Polabare
These two settings:Adaptive Noise ReductionAutomatic Click Removerare covered and red and they aren't working, I have a VERY high end PC, I detecated 16GB ram of 3200Mhz to Audition and it doesn't work.my mouse and keyboard clicks are being heard, and I have the same amount of backround noises.I have no clue what the problem is.My PC has a Ryzen Threadripper 4Ghz and 32GB ram 3200Mhz, is that not enough?
Hey guys, after looking around and not finding a solution to my problem, I was hoping someone might be able to help me. I have been doing audio mixing in Audition CS6 with mogg files. I've been mixing them in 5.1 surround sound sessions. When I find a balanced volume for each part of the song and go to export, it exports and doesn't sound like what I heard while working in the session. I've been exporting the mixdowns as FLAC files. When I do this, for some reason the bass and drums are louder than every other instrument, even though in the session they don't sound like this. Does anybody have any explanation as to why this could be? I've tried messing with the pan settings in multitrack preferences too. Could it be the file type? Any help would be appreciated.
This is getting tiresome. Back in December 2017 when Audition Updated I made a post about how after a few audio files, suddenly one of my self created Effect Presets didn't have all of it's elements in there anymore. Effect Rack Presets - Suddenly EmptyThis was acknowledged as a bug, and seemed to be rectified somewhere along the line. Fast forward to April 2018, I update Audition again, and sure enough it is happening AGAIN. I submitted a bug report about this, but it is rather irritating that a Bug that was supposedly being fixed, or was fixed, is back with the next update.
my toolbar is disable and it does not allow me to used. How can I get it back.Thank you
Howdy!I hope that this is an easy answer. I've spent a long time working in the stereo world for video and radio work. And only recently have I breached the 5.1 wall for work I am doing on audio theatre recordings (think old school radio shows, but brought up to speed). So we are adding sound effects into our recordings and for the life of me I cannot seem to find an answer as to what is needed for the Master Output on a 5.1 multitrack session. We setup all of our tracks to go to the Master. We set the Master to the default 5.1 output and we actually had it working fine. We did a show last week and it was great. But we get back onto our system and it just will not work. The transport freezes and it says it is playing but there is nothing happening. I change the Master Output to a stereo or mono output and I get audio and the transport starts moving again. But I accidentally discovered that if I set the Master Output to Stereo/Default Output, that
Hello!I would like to select 2 or more Zoom dialog files (in this instance, it's 3 files from 3 different mics) and drag them into the timeline, where they drop onto separate tracks (I then group tracks to retain the sync). See below...Zoom files on my computer at left and them on the timeline as desired on the right.I used to be able to do this -- I used to select the 3 files together and drag them into the timeline and they appeared on 3 separate tracks. I assume I accidentally messed up some setting, but I don't know how to fix it. Currently if I select the 3 files and drag them over, they drop onto 1 track sequentially. Does anyone know the setting to drag multiple files into timeline and have them drop on separate tracks?Thank you!!!!Aimee
I made a few hour long recording of an event my work puts on once a year. After this particular service, I accidentally pressed backspace and save only saving half of what I recorded. Is there anyway to get the rest of what was recorded through temp files or raw files or any other method? I am on a mac-Thank You
