Audition

I just installed audition cs5.5. I was able to open an existing mp3 file and edit it, but when i tried to open a new file to make a recording, it wouldn't respond.This is what happened...I clicked file - audio - new - audio file, and the editor appears. I tried to drag the "current time indicator" but it wouldn't move. I tried to click "record" and "play" but there was no response.Did I do something wrong?

Is it possible (for editing), to playback at various speeds, and ideally without changing the pitch/tone?

Is there are a way to show only one channel (of stereo) in frequency plot?  I want this as a way to expand the Hz-plot image (of just one channel) over twice the vertical span on my monitor, in order to double the visual resolution.  That would reduce the amount of zooming I have to do, when brush-healing out coughs from orchestral performances.Just to explain: you can completely remove a cough without destroying the primary audio this way.  It's slow, but very effective!  You have to zoom in on the frequency span, so that you can see the notes and their harmonics (as horizontal lines), and then only brush-heal the spaces between these.  It's best done no lower than about 1-2 K Hz.  And above about 4-6 K Hz, you can just brush-heal the whole region, since scant harmonics show up this high, or matter even if present (unless you're a dog, or a very young kid, I guess).I've looked through the menus, preferences, and context-sensitive pop-up menus, and found n

I'm currently working with a set of telephone hold prompts. They have background music in one track and several audio clips that play intermittently in another. Is there a way to get the background audio in Track 1 to automatically reduce its volume whenever audio is playing in Track 2? And return to normal when it's playing by itself? I've been setting manual keyframes, but it would be quicker and way more versatile if there was an automatic function.

Hello, looking for a selection tool to select all clips to the right on all tracks. I see there was a request for is back in 2013 here: Select all clips to the right of playhead in multitrack It looks like there's an ability to select all clips to the right of the playhead in one track, but not all tracks. This was mentioned it was going to be added in CC. Was this added and I'm just missing it? If not It makes the software unbearable to use since I can't move everything over efficiently when I'm in a project with many tracks and an hour long scene with hundreds of clips.

himay i know which is the best way to have all my songs louder without clipping?in the past i have used sometime the preset hard limit -0.1 dBi have watched many tutorials on youtube and in these they use always hard limiti have several songs and i want to create a compilation and i would like to work even on single audio (without creating a compilation)i have learned the differences between hard limit and normalizationis there a better way to have all my songs play louder?thanks

How do I set up Audition so that audio can play through external TV speakers? I have a Roku Sharp TV that is connected to Audition using a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable. When I choose the HDMI channel on the TV, the video is displaying on the TV, but the audio is not coming through. The audio will play through the TV through the AV cables when the AV channel is selected, but I need the audio and video at the same time. Is there a way to have the audio go through HDMI? Thanks.-EDIT: I figured out how to change the audio output to go through the TV through Audio Hardware in Edit > Preferences. However, I would like one multitrack session only to play from the TV, and then quickly open another multitrack session to play through Analog mono channels. Is there a way to route the Bus to the TV, or can I only change the audio output through the Edit > Preferences?

I'm trying to batch thousands of files and it is becoming an increasingly difficult task. I'm loading about 100 files into the batch processing window and running a Favorite with just 2 fairly simple tasks (Noise/Hiss reduction, Speech Volume leveler, Save to Mono Mp3) and it is taking 4-6 hours to finish each batch of about 100 files. Files are typically 8-12 minutes of stereo CD quality audio.  If I run those tasks on one of the files individually it takes about 20 seconds for the effects to be applied, and another 20-30 seconds to save. When I try to run those as a batch on the files the computer slows down to a crawl. Audition will slowly tick upwards in memory usage, processor usage stays below 5%, and the computer grinds to a complete halt and becomes unusable.The only way that I'm able to make any progress is by loading 5 or 6 files in the batch process, which finishes in just a few minutes.I noticed that Audition is trying to apply the effects on about 6 of the files all a

I have done lot of mixing in the Pr Pro audio mixer and familiar with live sound boards.  I have worked with Audition only for specific quick fixes but find myself in there more one on one for live audio EQ and level setting and want to move to multitrack when using vs. Pr Pro round trips.Using a zoom portable recorder and I just want to EQ and maximize levels without clipping before marrying to 4K audio in Pr Pro.  I want to start working with multi track mode vs waveform ( always used with save as)  mode.I researched this and the closest I can find to Normalize is in match clip and amplitude.  There are many options and I chose amplitude to minus 3db and of course the waveform does not change as that is the original file.  How do I see what the amplitude analysis will do to my output File?  Is this the closest to normalize? I know the waveform does not change....that is "as designed" but I want to see the expansion and where the new peaks are.  It r

Hello! I have Adobe Audition CC 2017, and i would like to had some VST (VST 3).. But when I try to install VST plugins, impossible to see VST in Adobe Audition...I search everywhere but I don't know... I see when I click to "refresh" , a loading of my "new" VST but nothing after. I can't "activate" VST.. and don't see my vst in the list... Thanks You !

so I have a bit of an issue where I ended up with one instrument recording on all tracks.. I have a track that is just that instrument, is there a way to basically take that track and have it removed from the other tracks?

I have a short musical clip I need to remix. It runs about a minute and I need shorten it by a few seconds. However, when I select the "Duration" check box and select "remix", audition analyzes the clip for a couple of seconds, the finished only to uncheck "Remix" and goes back to "Stretch" I have even tried to separate the clip into a separate file but it does the same thing. Any idea what is going on? Is the clip too short? A bug? Any insight is appreciated. Thank you. MAudition 10.1.1.11

Hi everyone,I have a small gap in my wave form and need to close it up. I could delete it but this kind of interupts the sound. Instead, is there a way to sort of extend or clone the left bit and then do the same to the right bit so that they join and then hopefully the track will sound right?Appreciate any help.

Hi there. I received some interviews that were badly recorded, and was wondering how I could make them sound the best they can be? I took a stab at by following some Youtube tutorials, and while slightly improved, it still sounds awful. I'm gonna include the original and the audition version so you can hear the difference. I'd like to request a key-shortcut to apply mix-paste with previous settings, so that you aren't always asked to reconfirm - Apart from being useful in standard audio cleanup, I have an ulterior motive to go along with it -I've developed an extension for Audition CC which allows you to do punch and roll recording (something that is requested really, really often) with crossblending of the record, re-punch, metronome, and adjustable prerolls. It's really slick!However, there is one shaky part - to handle the blend of the newly recorded audio, I do an automated mix-paste withapp.invokeCommand('Edit.MixPaste'). Most of the time, if I inject a app.invokeCommand('Keyboard.Enter')right afterward, I luck out, and it'll confirm the dialog and all is well.Sometimes, however, for some timing related reasons that presumably have to do with script execution over time, it doesn't work.The mix paste dialog is modal and doesn't allow commands to be invoked - so I can only sneak them in if I basically

Still no punch and roll for Audition?   UGH!!

I am trying to mirror my video in Audition to an external television monitor so that others will be able to view video only while I control Audition. I have been able to successfully use a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable to see my laptop screen on the tv monitor, but how do I get the TV monitor to display full screen video only? Audition has grayed out View > Video Display > Mirror Full Screen, and I am unable to click it. Should I be using a different cord?

My Program works fine .The only issue i am having it crashes when i send midi time code to it.I am using a Tascam us 122 Mk2 Souund Card Via Midi Ports.Mtc. occasinally works then keeps crashing.I tried the newest version of audition and it doesnt even have this function.I dont want to go to another product cause i ve worked with this forever.Please Help Thx
