Hi, I'm working on a game project that needs some of the audio to be saved as 24000Hz wave files. I see 22050 and 32000Hz as options but not 24000Hz. Is there a reason? Seems like half of the 48000Hz standard would be easy to support. Thanks much,-guy
Just lately I've been getting an error message saying that Audition is having problems reading or writing to disk. Despite the message, nothing drastic has happened - until today. I've just recorded a 30 minute voiceover session and somehow managed to lose it all. I saved it during recording a few times but when I stopped recording, I got dreaded error msg. When I came to play the audio, it was just a short loop of a single phrase repeating constantly.I'm running Adobe Audition CC 2015.2.1 on a late 2013 i-Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.5I've run the hardware diagnostics tool on the Mac and it didn't report any problems. I've also run the disk utility on the external drive to which the file was meant to be saved; again, no reported problems. Not quite sure what to do next. Obviously, I'd like to try and recover the sound file, if that's possible - to that end, I tried importing it as raw data, but no good - but more importantly I can't afford for this to hap

Installed the 2018 update yesterday on iMac running OS 10.12.6. 32 Gigs Ram. Today I'm repeatedly encountering an immediate freeze-up when recording. Tried deleting and reinstalling app. No change. Adjusted hardware buffer down from 512 to 128. Still having problem. Never ran into this issue before update. Brodie @KGLT radio(not EKRodgers)
Sound Remover Process is horrible now, What changes did they make to this effect? Now after every process, it raises the volume automatically by +2dB.Is anyone noticing this?
testAudio.mp3 - Google Drive ^Here is a sample of audio that includes both of the problems mentioned: a weird ringing noise is very apparent at times, and then there are a few thuds from the table the recorder was on being knocked.I experimented some with Dehummer to remove the ringing noise but I could not find a setting that worked. At 60hz, it was still very apparent.I've already passed this audio through the noise reduction process a number of times. I'm newish to audition. I don't know what to try from here out? Any ideas as to how to remove the ringing and the thuds?Thank you!!!
There has got to be an easy shortkey or something for this, but I can't figure it out! If I start playing, then want to revert back to where it started playing what key will bring me back to that spot?
Anyone know of a way to burn a CD in Audition, without resetting the Track time to 0:00?We sometimes burn test discs for review and it is very cumbersome to say for example there needs to be a fix on Track 5 at 1:26 seconds. Well to find that I need to find the track in the full audio file, then select out to 1:26 seconds. I would be much easier to say, Track 5, 26:26 into the program. Is this possible?Ray
Hi folks,I know I should really update to a later version of Audition but 1.5 gives me more than enough functionality! Anyway, as to my problem/question...I can't get the pre-roll and post-roll parts to play when I am editing WAV or MP3 files (I haven't tried it on other file formats). Both pre- and post-roll durations are set to 1.0 seconds. I know that I am supposed to right-click the Play button and select the appropriate enablement option from there - however right-clicking on the Play button (or indeed any of the Transport buttons) doesn't produce the usual context menu. Has anybody else experienced this issue? (I can't seem to find any similar reports on the 'net).--Many thanks!Dave Matthews
On my continuing quest to buld the perfect CEP Audition Punch & Roll extension, I've got a question.I've got a full, non-destructible extension working for Punch & Roll on Audition now, which I'm planning to release on the marketplace for free. -Adobe Audition Punch & Roll Extension - Non-Destructive - YouTube It's a significant upgrade over my previous destructive, waveform-only version, and infinitely more reliable.Right now, however, I have to enforce an 'only record on track 1' limitation for the extension. The reason for this is that I have no other way to guarantee that the SELECTED track is the same track that the recording is taking place on, so trimming clips doesn't work properly if you have a different track selected than the one that is armed to record.I currently work around this by 'shifting to previous track' multiple times before starting a punch (i.e. ensuring that track 1 is always the selected track.)This is pretty silly, and curtails some of the more adva
Hey. I have a voice recording in very poor quality. Speech is in Polish. I use this language on a daily basis, but the recording is not so clear that I will not understand any words. Is it possible to fix a recording so that it can be understood? The recording is long, so the link below is just a sample.Sample.wav - Google Drive
Hello, I can successfully import .raw files into audition, but cannot save or convert files from Audition into the .raw format. Is there a way to do this? Thanks very much,-guy
8 track film audio edit, soloing each track. Yes, there is a decent amount of filtering but nothing crazy, simple dialogue right now. Pre-Render is turned on.When I make a selection and go to wave from for a small edit everything goes epic upon return to multitrack. The workspace spazzes out and takes many different forms and has to be reset after every round trip. As well, it can be many seconds to start play again as "calculating play back" is shown.working on m2 Samsung Evo drive with plenty of space, 96 gigs ram, Realtek audio, 8 core e5 xeon processor, The same machine that I have done most all my audition work on with far fewer problems.
Hey Audition CC users, today we released an update with some cool new stuff. Thought I'd share with y'all directly. Blog post and demo video at Audition CC: Our Fall, 2018 release is all about TIME | Creative Cloud blog by Adobe Auto-ducking: Part of the Essential Sound panel, automatically generate dynamic keyframes to reduce the levels of music clips when dialogue or other elements are audible. It's easy to use, just adjust sensitivity, reduction, and fade parameters to build the keyframes. Once enabled, it continues updating while you record, edit, or move clips around. And you can let it do the work of making all those keyframes, then make manual adjustments as you like.Timecode Overlay: When recording ADR or VO to video, the session timeline doesn't always match the embedded timecode of the reference scene. The Video panel can now display overlaid session or media timecode with options for size and placement.Multitrack Clip enhancements: Stacked clips on a single track lock
Hey guys, thanks in advance for your patience and concern.I'm not the most talented audio geek so bear with me please. My setup is Adobe Audition CC, a Focusrite Scarlett Solo USB Interface and the infamous ASIO4ALL on Windows 7 64bit.I am trying to record, as the title suggests, microphone input via my interface while simultaneously recording a skype call via the stereo mix. Usually Windows only allows one audio device to be selected at a time. Now I remember, from a couple of years back, when I was still using Cubase 4 LE that with ASIO4ALL there were work around for this issue. Hence I installed the driver again to split the input for the different audio track among devices as I used to. When I select ASIO4ALL in Audition I get nonsensical input channels to select however (at least I can't make sense of them). I added a screen capture below as well as the settings for the ASIO4ALL.If I remember correctly I was able to select the stereo-mix and mic input separately at that point in C

With each new release of Creative Cloud, Adobe takes advantage of the latest hardware and software advances to offer users best-in-class creative innovation. Adobe Creative Cloud has moved to native Operating System (OS) support for Dolby Digital decoding (reading Dolby files). Both Windows and OS X operating systems (Windows 8.1 or above and Mac OS X .11 or above) contain native support for Dolby decoding functions. Adobe is no longer providing support for encoding (writing) Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus sound formats in the current and future releases of Creative Cloud. These changes affect the following Creative Cloud products: · Adobe Premiere Pro CC· Adobe After Effects CC· Adobe Audition CC· Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC· Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC· &nb
I recently bought a laptop, and while the size and layout of everything else in Audition is fine and clear, stuff with graphs like mastering is super tiny. How do I expand those windows?
Using Audition CC (2017)Hello all, yesterday I was in charge of filming a wedding, nobody was there to run sound so I brought my usual setup for recording audio, to make sure I could get the vows.I started the recording as normal, and once the ceremony had concluded I went back to my computer to end the recording and save and all that. When I returned I saw the recording was still going and it showed that it had been recording the whole time but today when I went to listen back to it, I found I only have the first 11 minutes.I can no longer find the vows or any of the important parts, this is on top of the fact that my camera memory card corrupted itself and after retrieving the video files I've found that the file with the kiss and exchanging of the rings is damaged as well, so now I have the Audio and video for the first half of this wedding but not any part that matters.Does anyone have any idea where the missing audio file may be?
I am a registered user of AA 3.0.1 using Win 7 Professional. Recently, I have had difficulty in getting my Waves VST plugins (9.6 shell) to load (they disappearwhen scanning for other companies such as iZotope or Eventide). I go back in and put the Waves folder to search from and then I get dialog boxes stating certain RX 6 tools won't load which were there before but at least my Waves show up. If I start up AA holding down Shift, will that reset AA back to program defaults and if yes, might that solve my issue? Further, if I uninstalled and reinstalled AA 3.0, would the software key that came with the program allow me to register with Adobe? Thank you for any help.
I created a multi track session with a few effects in the effects added to the "track effects" panel. The effects were rendered to the exported session, but not "applied" to the original waveform. After listening to the exported file, I wanted to adjust a reverb setting, but when I open the multitrack session I no longer see any multitrack effects listed in the track effects panel. The effects are clearly audible in the multitrack session window, and definitely not applied to the original waveform, but I can't find the effects so I can adjust them. I presume this is a user error on my part, so I'm hoping someone can advise me on how to re-enable the track effects display so I can edit them.thanks!
Hello! I am trying to edit my voice to sound similar to how the voice of the narrator sounds in this video from Saints Row IV, when it says "Shield at 66%." I'm unaware of what steps I should take to do this, however, because it sounds like there are multiple voices in the voice, and it's heavily distorted and robotic. Here is the link to the video, starting at the time about where the voice plays:https://youtu.be/Hs6eOD9D-48?t=1m37s
I recorded some audio from an internet radio broadcast of sports game using OBS studio. The quality of the stream was not something that I could personally fix. The quality is good enough, but I still hear that "pixelated" background sound that you sometimes get with streaming radio on the internet, if that makes sense. It sounds like digital white noise. I'm not sure how else to describe it. I'm not sure if that's a product of the background noise from the crowd/audience, but I don't think it is.Is there a way to fix this issue on my end with Audition?
http://https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bw4DUDt71hHaSldscktRWDc2SVkI am having trouble successfully using the noise reduction process to remove the white noise in this clip. This entire clip is about 10s long .... If you listen long enough you will notice that the same words are repeated. That's because the first time he says it is after me doing the noise reduction process in audition to it twice. The second time is the original file with now tweaks. It seems the only difference between the two is the edited version have a certain hollow or flanged effect to it, and it actually sounds worse. When I did the noise reduction process. these were most likely my settings:FFT size: 8192Spectral decay rate: 45%dB removed: 15 dBNoise reduction: 65% Though I have since experimented with them, but didn't get much better results. Noise reduction is really the only audio cleanup process I am familiar with in Audition. If you can help me make this process work, or point me in the direction of the pr
using Audition 3.0 in Windows 10......when opening Audition, getting "record not possible, sound card not compatible with DirectSound input".....using Yamaha AG06 USB interface .....have installed the drivers for both the AG06...AND....an ASIO4all (told that is a comprehensive driver) and already have Windows 3.0 Sound driver as a genericwhen using AG06 driver, Audition 3.0 WILL, in fact, record, but I cannot get play back........when using Windows 3.0 Sound driver, I GET playback from Audition (and other media on the PC), but CANNOT record in Audition.....when attempting use of the ASIO4all, I cannot get a "consensus" that allows me to record and playback on Audition while being able to continue hearing playback on other media......what should be a simple process has turned into a "who's on first?" I have not had to deal with in past installs, versions, etc......any clarity would be much appreciated.....thanx
