Audition

I have a number of Audition projects saved in my dropbox. However since I have the dropbox folder located in different locations with different file paths on my work and home computer, this means if I open a project at home, all the clips will be unlinked and the project is unusable. Is there a way to make Audition reference the clips in a way that is relative to the location of the project file itself, rather than from the root directory up, so that I can use the same project on different machines?

We currently use Cool Edit 16-bit to create .VOX files for a SunGard IVR system.  We want to convert to Adobe Audition to create our .VOX files. However, when we create .VOX files in Adobe Audition they are not readable by the SunGard IVR system or the Cool Edit 16-bit software.  Both are 8000 MHz samples.  What are we missing?  Are there products other than Adobe Audition that can create compatible .VOX files?

Hi,once I've installed the CC 2017.0.1. version I can't play any sound from the timeline clicking on the play button.files are ok as usual.I found nothing interesting about the issue, any idea pliz ?thank you so much, Marco

I am having an odd issue.  New computer (HP ZBook, Windows 10 64 bit), new audio interface (UA Apollo twin thunderbolt) but recording are garbled when another daw, is opened (Cubase in this case).  Otherwise, records and sounds perfect.I found this also happens when Skype is open.

HelloI supply music to retail stores. I get my tracks from various sources. Some of my clients are complaining about the normalising. To normalise the playlist i set the ITU-R BS.1770-2 Loudness to -23 which is the default and suggested loudness.Do I need to to more than this I. E.set the RMS etc. My clients are complaining that the tracks are not all of the same volume in a playlist but I normalise them all using the same method. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance

Is it possible to set automaticaly a different format for a group of files without repeat for each file the different new format?For example select ten files and save each file with the same name but with different estension, i.e. form .aiff to .mp3Thank you.

I need to do sound design for a film. I'm using a mid-2010 MacBook Pro with 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor.I meet all the system requirements listed for Audition but this one. I'm not sure what "Multicore Intel processor with 64-bit support" means, tbh, but I don't want to purchase the product before I'm totally sure it'll work on my machine. If it won't work on my processor, will I be able to download a previous version that does work?Thanks in advance,Eric

Looking for info or advice:Anyone having issues with noise (static) destroying saved wav or mp3 files?After I record a voice over into a mono waveform, I will apply a Normalize process and a Noise Reduction process (if needed) and then save the file as an mp3 or wav, depending on the project. The files are crystal clear, even in playback while the waveform editor is still active. BUT--after closing the file and shutting down Audition, when I go to reopen the file, the files have a strong static-type noise through the entire file.I attempted another round of Noise Reduction process without luck. I have checked all my hardware and save settings--they're fine. I even downloaded a free trial of Audition CC and tried to record on it just for the purpose of getting the project to my client, but it did the same thing. I did record with Garage Band successfully, but I prefer to use Audition b/c I can see inside the waveform and edit more accurately.This doesn't seem to be an audio issue--it's

I'm new to DAE (but an old hand at doing the old fashioned way...) and I"m learning Adobe Audition.  Everything was going great but then the gear ball appeared and I had to shut down the computer.  (A new MacBook Pro.). When I started back up and brought the file I was working on back in...although I could see the wave form in the edit window the whole thing was reduced to a one second loop that kept repeating endlessly.  The wave form is there but only the loop.  I went back to Dropbox but it's now corrupted there, as well.  And, now, Audition isn't letting me save anything without a sign coming up saying Audition can't write anything and the machine freezes.  Does anyone have any idea what's going on???  Thanks. I'm finalizing tracks for an album with some limiting and make-up gain which brings the level of each song to -1 dBFS.  Created a mixdown for each song.I then created a new multitrack session and imported all of the mixdowns into it sequentially to get an idea, master-wise, of what the whole thing will sound like.   The maximum level on all of the imported mixdowns is -4dBFS.  Why isn't the level the same as the imported files, which is -1 dBFS?

Dragging mp3's from my desktop to the mulitrackview fails, while I am able to move mp3's backwards and forwards and up in down within the multitrack streen. I can also open the mp3's to my edit screen and then move them to the multitrack mode.  Not normal is it?

I'm having an issue with the Noise Reduction effect on my new 2016 MacBook Pro with TouchBar. I use the effect as I normally do, select an area, Capture Noise Print, then invoke the Noise Reduction Process. The pop-up box graphically indicates that it's working properly, but when I click Apply, there is no change in noise level.But, if I do the same exact thing a second time, Capture Noise Print then Noise Reduction Process, it works fine.Any thoughts?MacOS Sierra 12.2.2 (it tapped with 12.2.1 as well)Adobe Audition 2017.0.1 Release

Hello all, hoping someone could give me some insight to my problems.I am a video editor who recently started using Audition to do small audio mixes using the essentials panel. I will give my workflow and then my problem. In Premiere it was just one layer of interview audio and one layer of music. I used the "send to audition" menu to send to Audition. Once in there in a multi-track session I did all my tweaks using the essentials panel and remixed the music to fit and key framed it up and down under the voice track. That's it. I listened back to it and was happy. I went file, export, export multi-track, selected wav and left all the settings at default. Once exported and pulled into Premiere, random bits of the voice track are missing, you hear the person talking, its disappears and comes back. The background music is still there and the voice is gone then it comes back after a few seconds. It was in three points within my 2min 30sec video. Then there were also "pops" in the audio on e

Hi,I'm new to Audition and trying to record my own voice to put on some educational video I'm making.I'd like to know a basic workflow to apply on these records; I mean the order to apply effects like Normalize,  Noise Reduction etc, prior to apply a Vocal Enhancer effect. Hi all!If you open any file and save it as wav, it size increases by 2 bytes. If you then open this wav any other editor (eg SF) the size of the return to the past. Previously, such an increased sound Premiere exported. In Premiere CC 2017 this bug fixed. What this? Bug or not?Sorry for my english.
