Whenever I go to save or press any tab on the header Adobe Auditions tend to lag or freeze and run slow. It does pretty well for the most part just certain operations make it run slow I have an HP intel Corei3 8th gen processor, 930GB of space, 8GB of RAM Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-8130U CPU @ 2.20GHz, 2208 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s). Is my computer not compatible?
Sometimes when the source audio is somewhat loud, its waveform in Audition shows up as almost a completely a solid bar, and even when I zoom in it's still takes some time to find the song's breakdowns and drops. Is there a way to make it more readable? here's how the same song shows up Aimp The audio isn't even percievably clipped. I guess one can say it was mastered pretty loud but I see this kind of loudness pretty often, so it's safe to say that it's not out of the ordinary Audition version is 24

Am I the Lone Stranger experiencing this, or is there _HOPEFULLY_ someone who has been similarly tripped up AND has found a fix? I've used Au3 for MANY years, currently running on a Win8.1 desktop (downgraded the Win7 laptop to an SSD drive that doesn't have the necessary room to move). For most things this works fine, EXCEPT for a tool that I find frequent need for (but haven't been able to utilize for a LONG time now): editing out (modulating OR simply deleting) sub-areas on the spectral screen by the lasso or rectangular window selection. I can select things just fine, but whenever I try to DO SOMETHING with such a selection the session simply crashes and burns. Is there an intelligent protocol to attempt to diagnose the crash, if this is not a known/fixed issue? Anyone? I KNOW from posts I've read that there are other knuckleheads like myself that cling to their rusty, old tools with a passion, so for that quirk I remain undaunted. I just wish I could avail
Having been frustrated for years by the abject lack of documentation for Extendscript I find this to be phenominal. I just used it to create an extension for Audition (probably the least documented platform) that removes gaps between all clips in a miltitrack track. (Disclaimer: I have not tested this code, so there may be errors and it may not run at all.) As I disclaimed, this code is untested and as yet hasn't been run in Audition. Even so, the fact that it has providd a good starting point is astounding considering the ¯\(°_o)/¯ attitude of Adobe concerining documentation of Extendscript and CEF extensions, particularly in reference to Audition. This is a shame because Audition could benefit from scripting almost as much as Photoshop or Premier Pro. I'll not go so far as saying that it can benefit as much as After Effects because, obviously, AE is incredibly complex. This just blew my mind a little bit, so I had to share it. I have been trying to do this for years but the
After I zoom into the timeline waveform, if I hit the space bar to play, the Move - Restore- Minimize popup, opens up in Windows, no issues on Mac. It's not the end of the world but it's obnoxious to use this program having to stop and click off the box every time I make a zoom and hit space. This box
I have a number of old ASND "resources" pulled from an ancient (discontinued/abandoned) 68k macOS app; I think I used resEdit (on a 68k Mac) some years ago to do this; I was able to play the audio on that Mac. However, it's been many years and, although I still have the files, I no longer have a 68k Mac. Audacity is unable to do anything with them; I even tried importing as raw data (which did import something but the result was just a less-than-a-second bit of static. Likewise, Audition is clueless.I thought these were created with Adobe Soundbooth (as a web search revealed that ASND files are associated with that app) but Mac ASND "resources" pre-date Soundbooth's introduction by at least 13 years. If anyone knows of an app that can convert these ASND resource files to MP3 or anything playable today, I'd appreciate advice. I can't attach any of the files to this post but will be happy to eMail a couple (or post them in a cloud drive) if you'd like to attempt a conversi
you can edit and export the track name, however, you cannot export the edited clip label. My suggestion is to be able to allow users to export the edited clip label not just the track label.
We need BETTER ENVELOPE OPTIONS, copy and paste, drag and select keyframes (eg. keyframes on top of the automation), invert automation on the X or Y values, select multiple keyframes and edit the parametes for all of them at the same time, after selecting > double-click for drag (selected keyframes) scale (selected keyframes) X and Y dimensions. Please.
Hello, I am using Adobe Audition for sound design for a short film for the first time and am finding that the clips I edit are audible outside of the edits. The sound does not start or stop exactly where I’ve edited it; it starts a few frames before the clip and continues a few frames after. This happens whether I have applied a fade or not. It seemingly creates its own fade, which exists outside of the visible clip, making it impossible to achieve the accuracy I need. Is there a way to fix this, or turn off this feature? Thank you!-John
Hi, I have recently been editing and exporting a whole bunch of DJ set recordings. I have been adding gain to the tracks, adding mastering effects, using volume automation + channel mixing automation whilst ensuring to check that I'm not pushing the output (post-effects) to clipping throughout any part of these recordings. I have been exporting each Multitrack mixdown as mp3 and also as a flac, to have a copy of each file type on hand. I've now just noticed when re-opening each file in Audtion, the FLAC versions have a waveform which looks hugely clipped whilst the mp3 versions have all exported without clipping whatsoever. See audio on left (FLAC export) compared to right (mp3 export). Can anyone shed light on this issue please?
I've tried entering tag info into ID3 and into RIFF, such as 'Title' and 'Artist'. And I even tried entering tags in XMP under AES CART, but the information is not saved. Is there a current issue with tagging AIFF files?
Is there any shortcut to "Choose Multitrack > Track > Duplicate Selected Track"?Couldn't find any in the shortcut library. I need it f.e. when I position one instrument left and the other to the right. thankss.
Hi i have issues with having my audios being rejected from an online platforms for problems of white noise that i cant hear nor correct "please remove the white noise before adding the music. The static can currently be heard overpowering the music." since i bought a professionnal mic zealsound k66 and did edits with adobe audition. eventhough i put it at the top my sound is low and i have to enhace it digitally and i would like your feedback my white noise is at -100db which is very low but even that i had this feedback , do you have ideas? i put you 4 audios of 90 seconds (some audios begin at second10) i put the raw and the final version thanks so muchRAW https://youtu.be/Yr792kI-WgASUBMITTED AND REJECTED https://youtu.be/jzBFpDtMRnERAW https://youtu.be/EV3dsNNzBSUSUBMITTED AND REJECTED https://youtu.be/D9O_MCaWlZcThanks so much jihane
My team use Audition for Post Production Mixing, Sound Design, Podcast Editing and every day we demand a lot from it at an advanced level.I’ve found particularly over the last year or two that new releases and features have slowed significantly. We appreciate improved stability that has come with this, however it worries me going forward that as users we’re being left behind. What can you tell us about the future of Audition as a Digital Audition Workstation? What new features or workflow improvements can we expect? Is its functionality likely to amalgamate with other Adobe apps longer term?
Sorry maybe this is a stupid question since this should be obvious but I'm not 100% sure. If I open a track in Wavefrom view, and select all or part of the track, and then select an Effects Preset do all the Effects e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 inside that Preset get applied to the track one by one in that order once I click Apply?
Help! I have been working for over 18 hours on a podcast episode, and am now unable to open the file due to this error message I am receiving. I have been working with Adobe Audition for over 2 years and have never encountered this issue before. I am terrified that all my hard work is lost. Any advice you can graciously provide would be deep;y, deeply appreciated by me and my team!!!! I didnt do any updates overnight or anything, and there was no apparent program crash. The error message is: "The Byte Stream Type of the given URL is unsupported."
I have my sampling rate set to 192000Hz, so I should theoretically be able to see up to 96kHz on the spectral display. I can scroll in and out to show fewer or more frequencies but there is no option (via scroll whell or right click) to expand the view past 60kHz. Is there a setting I've inadvertently put on to limit the spectral display? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hello everyone, This might be a very basic question, but unfortunately, I can't find the option in Audition: I have an audio with two speakers, both of their voices average at about -3db. Alongside the voices, there are also (unfortunately many) smaller background noises (like birds, etc.), all of which are around -15db or less.I would like to silence everything in the audio that is quieter than -15db. Isn't there a simple way to do this? Thank you very much!
Not sure if anyone here can help with this, but here goes:I'm using Audition 24.2.0,83, Mac OS 14.3.1 on a Mac Studio M2 Max 32G This plugin behaves badly in Audition, but functions as expected in the other DAWs I could try it with.It has a quasi sidechain function to prioritize EQ across tracks., but in Audition invoking this part of the interface results in erratic behaviour rendering it useless. (See attached screen recording) Sonible support has been back and forth with me on this, but they seem to think that something on the Audition side might need to be tweaked. They think some hidden preset might be interfering. I've reset prefs and cleared caches, restarted and re-installed without resolving the issue. Here's the FAQ Sonible has about the issue:."smart:EQ 4 uses inter-plugin communication using IP addresses. When working with presets within EQ 4, these inter-communication settings are properly stored in the presets, so when
Adobe Community, I come to you with an issue that even Adobe support is struggling to diagnose. Video sample at bottom of post. It's making audition nearly unusable for me, because what aught take me 2-3 hours is taking me 10-12 due to having to wait over a minute between each minor cut. Symptoms: When I open a file, multitrack ripple delete is slow. Additionally, moving a clip along the track is laggy almost unresponsive. With each ripple delete, it takes longer. Delay starts around 5 seconds, and can get as long as 1 minute in only 10-20 ripple deletes. No stress on RAM.This only happens on WAV files that i've run podcast silence delete on, so there are many small voice tracks cut from one single file.File: 6 tracks, each with one 2-hour WAV file. Run diagnostics>trim silence on all. 5 tracks of music and sound effects. System:High-end creator class desktop purchased late 2023. 64g ram, modern NvidiaAttempts: Re-installed adobeRe-instal
Hi. I run a college radio station, and people are frequently changing the layout and look of Adobe Audition. While I'm fine with this, I want to be able to go back to what should be a default layout for our station. So, I set up the layout the way it should be and saved the workspace with an obvious name. Is there any way to LOCK the Workspace so that even though people may alter the view, they cannot SAVE it? For background, while we have many users, it is inconvenient to have each person login under their own Creative Cloud account, so we simply have CC logged in under ONE email and do not log out. We want uniformity, especially for training purposes. Are these Workspaces saved in Windows somewhere or on the cloud where they can be set to Read-Only status once I set them? Any tips or help appreicated!
[The following applies to both FLACs and MP3s. WAVs are immune to this issue.]🐛 The following steps seem to produce a bug that could land someone in hot water.1) Open an audio file. For this example, the original is a 30-minute audio file called "Audio-30.flac"2) Delete half of it3) Save the new version as "Audio-15.flac"4) Undo the deletion, so that the original length is restored.5) Save this latest version under its original title "Audio-30.flac"6) Close the audio file7) Open the audio file to discover that the "undo" didn't save and your last 15 minutes are poof, gone. It's only a 15-minute audio file, not a 30.Thankfully, I have so-far avoided this issue with numerous backups, but it's still seems to be a bug.Thank you in advance for looking into this issue,~ Matthew
A Workspace can be locked in Photoshop to prevent a user from inadvertanntly making changes to the Workspace and then needing to reset it. This feature should be in Audition (and all CC products) as well.
