THe native flac handling has gotten much better, but for the last few versions I've noticed if i take a flac file and alter it (usually just downsampling from 24/96 to 16/44.1 - the embedded metadata gets replaced by some lingering old metadata i did well almost 2 years ago (song name, artist, year, etc... ) How do I reset or delete this? Where's it stored and why is it not keeping the original metadata in the first place? Thanks.
is measured bit depth in amplitude statistics more accurate than bit depth value in file properties?
When interacting with exported files (.ogg), they change very slowly. For example, when renaming, moving to another folder, etc.
how to save the data of Phase Analysis
Lately, possibly since updating, pressing CMD+S doesn't actually save in Adobe Audition. There's the little save animation plays in the Files list, but the asterisk remains, and if I try to close the file, Audition asks me to save the changes. This is happening in both Waveform and Multitrack views. Adobe Audition ver. 24.2.0.83 macOS 13.5.2
I'm editing a linked MP4 file in premiere and used the 'Edit in Audition' function to edit the audio track. It was all working fine as I would edit the audio, Ctrl+S to save and then close the file, return to premiere and the changes were made. However, later on, I am doing the exact same thing but when i try and save my changes in Audition, the following message comes up and I can't save the changes. The files are only open in Premiere and Audition, but this was the case earlier when it was working.Do you know why this is happening and how I can get round this issue, as I now can't save any audio edits. (I have tried unlinking audio track from video, tried cutting it into different clips within premiere etc. but nothing seems to make a difference)
Is there a way to listen to a multitrack file at a faster speed? I dont mean to actually edit the speed of the track, more like I just want to listen to it at a faster speed to save time for myself when checking it
Does Audition have a project panel similar to AE? where it will only display the files relevant that that particular project? If I look in the 'Files' panel it loads files from other Audition projects... so I have to keep clearing them out when I'm switching between different multitrack files
I am working on an audiobook and I need to export the audio track as a single file with all the chapters labeled correctly so that it can be used in the table of contents. Is it possible to mark where each chapter starts and then have that chapter information embedded in the file so that each chapter name and timecode gets added to the audiobook's table of contents? For example, the below image is a screenshot of an audiobook's table of contents from within Apple's iBooks app. I need a way to be able to mark where each chapter is within a single audio file so that I can have my audiobook's table of contents broken out by the preface, introduction, chapter 1, chapter 2, etc. Currently, I have to make a cut where each chapter starts and ends and then move it to a separate audio track. Then I export each audio track so that I have a separate .M4B file for each chapter. When that's done, I have to use a special tool to combine all the chapters back together again into
I opened a recent Audition session this morning because I needed to make an edit. But, all my "output" settings have vanished from the Multitrack view. (See photo below) I HAVE already double-checked my "Audio Hardware" settings and they are correct. It's just that I have. no way of adjusting the Output for each track in Multitrack view. Can anyone assist?
I'm new to punch and roll, but there's something that's driving me batty and I can't figure out how to get it to stop. As I'm recording, and I want to re-record a line, I hit the space bar to stop the recording. Audacity then creates a selection automatically from where I stopped recording to the last place I clicked on the timeline. I then have to scroll all the way back to where I was before moving the playhead to where the error is.I suspect there's a way to make this not happen, and I would love some advice! I've tried messing with the settings a bunch, but nothing is preventing the above from happening. My goal is to get it to leave the playhead at the point where I stopped recording and NOT create a selection from the last time I paused recording. There's got to be a way to do this right?
I am doing whole band mixes in Audition. I'm finding that the two VST3 effects I commonly use (Phil Speiser's The Strip and Melodyne) are working fine while mixing but are not being applied when my multitrack mixes are being exported as mixdowns. I'm resorting to playing the Audition timeline while real-time recording it into OBS in order to have the intended final mix. I have not seen this same issue being reported elsewhere. I'm including my system specs. Thanks.Dell XPS 8960Windows 11Audition 24.2.0.8313th Gen Intel Core i9-13000, 2000 Mhz, 24 Cores64 gigs RAMRealTek Audio
I have an audio clip with four people yelling over each other. Is there any way to isolate their voices to hear what they are saying? They all have different ranges. There is a high-pitched woman, a deep-voiced male, and two other males with different-sounding voices. I was thinking that an AI could analyze and isolate their individual voiceprints, but that might just be wishful thinking from a non-expert.
Audition would greatly benefit from the addition of looped recording. You should be able to highlight an area in the multitrack and record mulitple takes in the same area at once. With how advanced the software is, it's fairly ridiculous this isn't already a feature. Please add it!
Hey Guys, Trying out Audition and the VSTs appear very small. Anyone know of a way to make them bigger? Ableton they look fine but kind of a grind to use them on Audition.
Hey guys I'm editing a podcast between 2 men both using individual mics. So I have 2 audio tracks but unfortunately they were close to each other and the room is very echo-y so I can hear both speakers in each track. I tried the Unmix Mutliple Voices in SpectraLayers 10 but it didn't work very well cause they have pretty similar voices. I was thinking that Adobe Audtion (or Spectralayers) could scan both tracks and recognize that they're of the same recording, but that each track has a worse version of the other because of distance, echo etc and then use that information to separate the voices. Does anybody know how to do that?
Adobe Audition has been freezing every few seconds for over 3 weeks (Adobe Audition Not Responding message for 5-15 minutes). I am making a podcast and I'm on a deadline. It hasn't happened previously and was working fine until one day it didn't. I have no clue why it started, this is a relatively uncomplicated file with 4 tracks. I have searched Community Forum and followed EVERY piece of advice others have tried, nothing has worked. I have spent an entire day with a technician cleaning and updating everything on my Windows PC, including installing extra RAM (I am now using 32MG). NOTHING has worked. I have cleaned and deleted files from media cache (including all CFA & PEK files); changed locations for temp files (Primary & Secondary) to fastest SSD hard-drives; changed backup locations and auto backups. A lot of users seem to have experienced this problem without any real fix, solutions or reasons offered from Adobe. The problem is with Adobe Audition ONLY, e
I have a single multitrack recording that contains multiple songs. I do not want to keep the entire file as whole as I want to break up each song. What is the best way to do this? At this point, I am copying and pasting each segment to a new session and when I go to save it, it wants to save all the tracks along with it. I get that they are the reference files but I am going to go through a ton of storage space. So i guess the real question is: what would be a good work flow to accomplish something like this? Thanks for any advice/insight.
I want to use a side chain for kick and bass, so they are heared and silence on the same moment. Currently only sidechain compression exists, but then the oposite happens: bass is silence when kick is heard and in the silent parts of the kick, then the bass is heard. It must be the other way. Gate could be a solution, but there is no Sidechain option for it.Anybody?
I am Amateur, live streaming with Restream for 2yr. I have never had a problem with sound out at the local park. But I used a new headset mic, and I sounded underwater for 1 hour. Suddenly, it said well, and the sound went normal; could the Bluetooth interfere? I was using a regular mic. I expressed underwater and deficient. Usually, it may be blurry with low data speeds, but I never had an issue with audio. Could it be internally adjusting to the new mic sounding slightly more bouncy or eco? I DON'T KNOW, BUT I DON'T WANT IT TO HAPPEN AGAIN. THE RECORDED VIDEO SOUDS GREAT. IS ONLY THE LIVE VIDEO THROUGH RESTREAM TO YOUTUBE? ANY IDEA ALL THEIR SETTINGS ARE BUILT IN? I HAD IT ON DEFAULT. THE ECHO CANCELATION BUTTON IS ON AS WELL. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP IN ADVANCE IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS. GOD BLESS. [Mod note: moved to a thread of its own. And please don't write in CAPS - it makes the text very hard to read.]
How can I stop the play button so that it doesn't automatically return to start at the end? (Latest Audition version/ WIndows 11) Thank you
Help! Editing VO in Audition. The audio wave form is showing up, but audio won't play. I can't export the sound, can't copy the sound, can't do anything with it. There is only a small snippet of the 26minutes that plays. Anything I should be looking for? Screen shots attached.
I am just starting to use Audition, so I'm sorry if I am asking something that doesn't make sense. I did a 15 minute voice recording to upload on Youtbue and when I listen to it most of the volume is too low. So I found online that Match Loudness is one way to make your audio file volume go up. I want to do this but is there anyway to get rid of all these spikes/peaks on the audio file before I boost up the volume for the whole audio file so that the volume is more consistent throughout the recodring? Here is a screenshot of how the original audio file looks:
MacBook PRo - IOS VERSION 14.3.1 Audition: (Version 24.4.0.6. and older)I work on a macbook.I have a Yeti USB microphoneIn all applications, the microphone works. Also in Premiere Pro.But in Adobe Audition it doesn't.
