I lost the most recent edit of a .wav file I had been working on, but I have the PKF and the original audio. Is there some way I can use the PKF file to rebuild the edit that I lost? Sorry, if this doesn't make any sense
Okay so I've been using Audition for a few years and got a Pyle 4 track mixer a while back. Every once in a while when I go to record even though the record button is lit up and I can select it and then select the monitor button but there is no audio to record. The levels will jump around a little but it's obviously not the input from the microphone. I have the audio hardware set to the correct microphone, the system says that it's working and it's obviously recognized by the program and my OS. Can anyone help? I feel like I have to be doing something really dumb but even when I open old files that I recorded and use those settings I am getting the same result! Using a Pyle PMXU43BT 4 channel studio mixer btw.
Hi there,I'm editing a podcast and my multitrack view and session keeps taking me back into the original imported audio file when I go to move or edit a clip in the multitrack view ie. I am completely out of the multitrack timeline every time I try to nudge, move, edit. It is making editing almost impossible. Has anyone else had this? Have I accidentally checked a preference I don't want? Thanks for your help.
I'm pretty new to Adobe Audition and this is my first post, so be gentle with me. I'm here to learn. Google searching yielded no help. I know I'm at the mercy of people who know this application inside and out. I don't. I'm teaching myself as I go. Consistently, I find that when I play WAV files in Adobe Audition, the audio is dynamic. However, when I export, the quality isn't the same. I have been using Audition to Time Stretch in order to beat match tracks. At most, the time stretch is about 3%. Again, it sounds wonderful in Audition. Then when I export, it's not as good. My export settings are Same as Source as a WAV file. What are my missing steps to yield best results? And thank you for your patience.

Hi there - I can't find any other options for audio hardware inputs other than inbuilt microphone. I want to be able to record what's playing on my browser window (eg. from a sound effects library) that I guess is coming through the MacBook sound card. Any tips on configuration, or external devices, etc?Paul
I just updated to Audition CC 12.1 and now when I hit the space bar but the file does not play.Even if I click on the "play" transport arrow it just stalls and I get a small alert in the lower left corner that says"Playing (Resampling to match the device sample rate 48000Hz)" Both the session and the fie I am trying to play are 41000Hz 16bitI have tried creating a 48000Hz session and converting the file to 48000 but I still get the same Alert in the lower left corner ????????I have tried reinstalling the older version 11 with the same result as 12.xI can open a session in Audition CS6 and it works properlyAny Ideas?
When I "save as" and select OGG as the format, there is no option to change the bitrate. I'm sending a radio ad to Spotify and they use OGG files - but they want the bitrate to be TARGET: 192 kbps There is no way to change this setting in the "Save As" window of Audition. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I get 0x80070780 error when tyring to open M4a files. Used to be able to do it a few weeks ago?
Integration with CC Libraries and the ability to use Adobe Capture to record sound on mobile devices and save to a CC Library.
I was recording several chapters of an audiobook when I had an unexpected power outage. When I restarted my computer and Audition, it asked if I wanted to restore the last session. All my files show up and indicate that there is data based on the duration of the file but all waveforms are gone. Am I screwed? If so, just need to know so I can start over.
Hi all! Today, I recorded an auido in the waveform and saved the recording to my desktop. Later, after saving it, I deleted it on the program with a CTRL+A command and recorded something new. My intention was to combine both recordings afterward. However, upon saving the new recording, I realized it had overwritten the original one. Despite saving it to my desktop, the original audio file has been altered as well. Could someone please advise if there's a way to recover the previous file? It took me an hour to record, and I'd really appreciate any help.
The quality of the voices from web applications like typecast, murf.ai, wellsaid etc are far better than Audition.Does anyone know if Adobe have plan to prdocue a comparable product?I am wanting to know before I subscribe to one of the other products.
Hello,As you can see from this spectral pitch display, I have some audio with a background tone that rises in pitch from about 4KHz to about 6kHz over around 7 seconds. This rising tone appears in the background around 15 times in my Premiere Pro sequence. Is there way I can create some kind of keyframe-controlled, or LFO-controlled notch filter to filter out this very narrow (but rising) frequency? I have successfully used Audition’s selection tools to remove this line from the spectral display, and it sounds good, but it’ll be pretty time-consuming to do this for each time the sounds appears, so I’m hoping there might be a shortcut! Any thoughts, anyone? Thanks!~Paul
I recently purchased Murf AI to use with Audition for training videos as it claims to "integrate seamlessly" with Audition. This has not been the case AT ALL, and their customer service is.. not really cutting it. Has anyone used these two products together, or is there a recommendation on a product that works within Audition?
Why does adobe audition sometimes automatically rename by adding a suffix to the filename when saving selection and sometimes it does not and you have to rename the file yourself. When I download the file from itunes I have to rename it and when I download from tracklib It autorenames it
Hi guys, is there a way to separate/extract the two voices (interviewer and interviewee) from a single audion zoom recordings for podcast using adobe audition? Thank you
THe native flac handling has gotten much better, but for the last few versions I've noticed if i take a flac file and alter it (usually just downsampling from 24/96 to 16/44.1 - the embedded metadata gets replaced by some lingering old metadata i did well almost 2 years ago (song name, artist, year, etc... ) How do I reset or delete this? Where's it stored and why is it not keeping the original metadata in the first place? Thanks.
is measured bit depth in amplitude statistics more accurate than bit depth value in file properties?
When interacting with exported files (.ogg), they change very slowly. For example, when renaming, moving to another folder, etc.
how to save the data of Phase Analysis
Lately, possibly since updating, pressing CMD+S doesn't actually save in Adobe Audition. There's the little save animation plays in the Files list, but the asterisk remains, and if I try to close the file, Audition asks me to save the changes. This is happening in both Waveform and Multitrack views. Adobe Audition ver. 24.2.0.83 macOS 13.5.2
I'm editing a linked MP4 file in premiere and used the 'Edit in Audition' function to edit the audio track. It was all working fine as I would edit the audio, Ctrl+S to save and then close the file, return to premiere and the changes were made. However, later on, I am doing the exact same thing but when i try and save my changes in Audition, the following message comes up and I can't save the changes. The files are only open in Premiere and Audition, but this was the case earlier when it was working.Do you know why this is happening and how I can get round this issue, as I now can't save any audio edits. (I have tried unlinking audio track from video, tried cutting it into different clips within premiere etc. but nothing seems to make a difference)
Is there a way to listen to a multitrack file at a faster speed? I dont mean to actually edit the speed of the track, more like I just want to listen to it at a faster speed to save time for myself when checking it
