Dear friends and developers: I do heavy-duty multitrack audio mixing. My company is forcing a switch from Vegas to Audition after 15 years with the former program. I'm looking for 3 functions that would make workflows much easier for everyone, even those who are native to Audition: 1. Currently, zooming in and out on audio requires Ctrl + Scroll Wheel. Why can't it just be the scroll wheel? Why the need to hold down Ctrl? On Vegas, you simply use the wheel to zoom in and out. Which I constantly do. Hoaving to hold down Ctrl AND use the wheel totally unneccesary. Please advise2. When in the "Timeline" tool, you can move around audio clips by right clicking/holding down the mouse. Why can't we do the more intuitive left click/hold? If that's possible to change, please point me to how I can make that switch. 3. In Vegas, I can "ripple" (move an audio clip) and either every clip to the right of that clip in a given track, or every clip to the right of that clip in a p
Why doesn't this exist yet? IPad Pro has plenty of power to run this. You'd think Adobe would want to get out in front on this.
I created a mutlitrack podcast and uploaded two separate audio files with a host interview track and a guest interview track. Each sounds great but when I listen to them as multitack I hear a horrible echo. HELP
I'm currently working on a multi-channel project in Adobe Audition that involves intricate angle panning. However, I've encountered a challenge when trying to rearrange audio files, as the pan settings are attached to the timeline rather than the audio. This makes it difficult to move clips around without disrupting the panning. Is there a way to lock the angle pan to an audio file or any other workaround that would allow for easier clip rearrangement without affecting the pan settings?
Hello, is there any way to change these dropped down menus match the dark mode theme? Also, the application menu bar (the white bar at the top) does not change along with system theme. Is this intentional by design? Thanks in advance for the help.
noise reduction process not wokring on a 1 hour long file I made the noise print, selected the whole file (or nothing), run the process, then i see the effects takes place at the beginning and gradually fades out to around 40 seconds. more and more of the process degrades over time resulting in no effect after a few seconds. The targetted noise frequences gradually reapear. There are some more topics that mention this problem, but i the bug is not fixed yethttps://community.adobe.com/t5/audition-discussions/audition-cc-noise-capture-noise-reduction-not-applied-to-entire-track/td-p/10066504
I'm desperate. In Audacity I can easily highlight a section of audio, hit the delete key, and it just takes out the highlighted part like it was never there, leaving the track as one track. In Audition I do the same thing and it takes out the highlighted audio and leaves me two pieces of audio with a gap in the middle. And while I'm here, I have two voices on a stereo track, left and right. I want to be able to edit those independently. There doesn't seem to be a way to do that in Audition. If there is I'd love to know how. Thanks!
So, my mix DOESN'T have any hiss, but when I export WITH ALL MY EFFECTS ON it adds a pretty distinct constant white noise throughout the song on the mp3 or wav. My question is... does this sound like an adobe glitch or maybe my processor can't handle all the effects so it's creating noise? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!
Hi everyone! I want to record a podcast interview with someone in another location who does not have a studio. I've read some tutorials but don't think I'm getting the gyst of it. I already have 2 podcasts, but only recording my voice. Could someone provide some details on how to do it while achieving the best sound quality? Thanks!
When I save my multi track session, some of the files are going out of sync.I am having to go back and nudge everything back to where it originally was placed. It looks like the audio has moved like 0.2 of a second within some of the files.I am going to go back and re-load Audition version 23.1Does anyone else have this issue ?
Hello!I'm using the Zoom LiveTrak L-8 with Audition on a new MacBook Pro. The driver is fully installed and the device class is CoreAudio (only option). When opened the mics read just fine under Default Stereo Input. However, I select Mono and tell Audition which channel input to record on each track individually and for some reason, every track does not want to read. I've gotten this to work before and can't figure out what's happening. What setting changed in Audition (or the mixer if you happen to know) that I need to set back to?Thanks for all your help Adobe Community!
When recording an audio file, all my playback is in mono. My Audio Channel Mapping notes my (L) output as mono and I don't know how to change this. A screenshot is attached. How do I get my playback in stereo? I've recorded for years and this all a sudden change is so frustrating!
Hello, i've been editing an audio file and I was randomly told by the program that I needed to save and restart due to playback issues. I had no other choice so I saved and restarted it. Now after opening it again my file has wave lengths but the spectral frequency display shows me nothing as well as the timer will run but the levels will not register.
Hi, I'm working an old project in Audition CS6 with some complex routing that allows me to render either 2.0 or 5.1 output and I'm seeing a weird signal anomaly that I can't explain. I'm hoping someone here can shed some light. Basically, I built all tracks in the session to OUTPUT (or Send) to a 5.1 buss chain to the ultimate MASTER 5.1 track. To build the 2.0 Mix, I used Sends on each track to a 2.0 signal chain to ultimately, again, the 5.1 MASTER track. (when I bounce the 2.0 mix, I get a 5.1 file with information only in the L/R channels, which I then downcovert to a true Stereo 2-channel file, adding back in the 8.15 dB lost in the conversion from 5.1 to 2.0). Here's my issue: I have a mono clip on a mono track that is OUTPUT to a 5.1 buss chain (which is muted). I have a Send on that same mono track to a stereo track that is ultimately routed to the MASTER 5.1 track. I have that Send panned 100% Left. When I play the clip, the meters from the track, all the busses, and the
Can I use the Adobe Podcast free version for commercial purposes like creating courses on Udemy etc?
É possivel tratar o audio do primeiro video e deixar a qualidade do discurso do locutor o mais proximo possivel a qualidade audio do segundo video? A ideia é sobressair a fala acima dos ruidos externos, da melhor maneira possivel. Muito obrigado!
Starting a podcast and would like to use two mics with my co host using adobe audition. Created a multitrack to force it to use separate mics but it's just picking up the same mic. How do I use two mics while recording on Adobe audition using windows. Every fix I've seen has been for Mac.
Anyone know how to fix this audio? It comes to a hard stop at 0db and sounds loud and distorted
I am on a windows 11 computer using Adobe Audition 24.0.3. I was nearing the end of making cuts on a 4 track multitrack project when Adobe gave me a crash report. I without thinking clicked through the report and it closed audition. Upon reopening the project none of my cuts had been saved despite saving the project thousands of times using ctrl s basically resetting the project to completely unworked. I tried opening backups that were labeled as being made minutes before the crash happened and it gave me the same project without any of the work I had done. I am not sure if these are the correct logs but it does list an error. Is there anything I can do to recover this work?
Hi there,I'm completely new to audio editing. As a matter of fact, I'm a teacher. I started using Audition to edit some audio files needed for my classes. The thing is, I need to slow the audio down to about 85%. I know I can do that with the 'Stretch and Pitch' functionality. The problem I then get is that the audio sounds tinny. I know that's completely normal, as I'm stretching out an mp3 file (which is already not the best file type, but that's all I was given). I dabbled with parametric EQ, normalise, single-band compressor and dereverb. But frankly, I don't know what I'm doing. I do not aim to be an audio engineer (I'm an Industrial Engineer, myself), because I could never do any of this. I can't comprehend what all of you are talking about. To make it short. Is there a way for me to make stretch the audio to 115% (or a playback speed of 85%, without the pitch changing too much) and without it sounding tinny? If so, how exactly should I do that (if you don't mind helping
Hello everyone, first time poster. I am starting to record audio for a YouTube project I want to start, and while I have had others record me, I've never particularly recorded or edited myself before. I'm not really striving to be a perfectionist, but I'd like something that at least sounds decent for my first attempt. For background, I have an Elgato Wave 3 with some some basic plugins for Noise Removal and EQ (though I won't claim to fully understand what I'm doing on the EQ side). I recorded my first voiceover, and the thing that jumped out at me was, at least to me, how harsh my pronounciation of "S" came off as on the recording. Of course I am aware of the existence of the DeEsser, and immediately went to YouTube to try to understand how to troubleshoot and solve the issue. The video that to me had the clearest explanation was this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrSVTJmMpbw&t=252s And so I attempted to apply this to my own case and found that...at least to
For editing more easily:It would be so great if you have recorded a soundfile and than you are able to get it out in textform - than just delete parts in the text and it automatically cuts the audio with tiny transitions! That would be such a great feature for audiobook editing - if you have many sentences to cut than its getting anoying!Maybe by this feature you could also find out if there were sentences repeated partly and cuts it automatically? That would be so much time safeing. Thanks for hearing my request!
Team, I have a 7.1 creative sound card.In this sound card i can change 7.1 to 5.1. How to channel map in Adobe Audition for this card for 5.1 mixing? Please see the images. There are 6 ports in the sound card. 3 input port and 3 output ports. Is that possible for giving ouput to 6 ports for each channel in 5.1 in audition?
I have been adding markers to a recording in Audition. The numbering has to correspond to a numbered pic. So, I've had Audition number them Slide 1, Slide 2, Slide 3... and so on. I had to stop working. So, I closed down the app and shut off my iMac. When I restarted both and wanted to continue adding markers, the silly app restarted numbering at 1. I need these slides numbered in order for adding the slides in Premiere. I have a disability that makes hand motion problematic. I have about 150 more markers to add. If I have to renumber (rename) each marker as I add it, I'll shoot myself (except I can't pull a trigger...) Perhaps someone can help me figure out how to get the app to begin renumbering at a set number? If one cannot renumber markers, perhaps this could be a feature in the next version or update? I'd hate to have to leave my computer on until I finish working on a recording. It would use up so much energy and would not be good for the enviro
