The display window for effects don't seem to be in sync with what is being played either in the waveform or multitrack view. For example, when I'm using a DeEsser, if I were to play with the DeEsser opened, the audio being played doesn't show up in the display window (where the frequency span is shown) until a second afterwards, almost like what's being shown in that display window is delayed. I don't think this is a latency issue as everything still sounds fine, it's just annoying when trying to figure out where the sibilances are and not being able to accurately find it because the actual display is delayed by half a second or so. Any idea if this is a bug or if there's a way to fix that in the preferences?
When I go to the site https://podcast.adobe.com/ I can see this loading process, which doesn't finish..This service works from a smartphone browser, but I need to clean a massive audio file and it's not suitable to do from the smartphone. How can I fix it?
With one of the latest Audition updates, the "Toggle Editor" function has stopped working. Toggling between multitrack and waveform is a routine part of my workflow, which I do with a Command-Tilde keyboard shortcut. I've double-checked, and reassigned the shortcut, and it doesn't work. I also can't find Toggle Editor in the pulldown menu, or anywhere else. Anyone know what happened to, or how to restore, this feature?
I am at my wits end trying to solve this problem, I feel like I've troubleshot everything I can think of and nothing works. When working in multitrack, I hit play and the tracks play for a few seconds and then cut to silence completely. The playhead continues moving, but no sound or waveforms are generated. Video of the error here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5z8ndShZuQ Things I have tried that have not worked:Restarted AuditionRestarted the entire computerMoved project and source files from an external drive to internal SSDChanged audio output devices (from wired headphones to wireless headset)Changed the latency setting in the Audio Hardware menuToggled Hardware Acceleration on and off (and restarted)Pre-rendered tracksCleared media cachesToggled effects on and offChanged RAM available to Audition from 50 GB to 58 GB (max allotment) This is a high-end PC that I use for both gaming and intensive editing in Premiere and other Adobe products, I cannot fathom why two
I'm using batch process to export from my wav originals, into mp3 files, with a favorite applied. I do NOT want to change anything in the multitrack I'm exporting FROM. I want to keep my multitrack file as-is... but in addition to creating mp3s with effects applied, Audition is replacing the wavs on my tracks with the newly created mp3s. Is there a way around this behavior?
Hello over there, most time working in premiere, today I have an audio project with a dozen vocals and a novox music bed.In EQ effects I can´t chose a preset, see pic below - does anybody knows what to do?Reinstall Audition? Thanks in advance,Jo
I want to improve a project a made a while ago but im not sure how to open it because its not in my open recent.
Hi there. I am using the latest audition and focusrite scarlett 3. The microphone channel works fine and records in mono.Trying to record my guitar in mono and it wont. I set up two tracks like this:YOu can see stereo track 5 is recording on the rh channel where as 4 (mono) isn't recording. In a way this isn't that surprising as the mapping says right is channel 2 (if I understand it right) Here are my hardware settings My question is how do I get the guitar to record in mono - I am sure it used to. I have tried altering the mapping. There aren't really any settings on the focusrite.
Hey,I am pretty new to audition, and I've just started figuring out how to edit sound quality in waveform. The problem is, when I use noise reduction in waveform, it doesn't appear to affect the multitrack audio. I click on the specific track, open it in waveform, use capture noise print, then apply reduction to the entire clip, then I save. When I jump back over to edit in multitrack, it's like I didn't use noise reduction at all. I've looked this up and thought maybe I was doing the process wrong, but I can't seem to find anyone having the same issue as me. It worked fine a few days ago. Now it doesn't work at all.
Hi. I messed up my OBS settings so that track 1 has both game audio and mic (it was meant to be mic only). However, I have the game audio on track 2. Is there a way to use track 2 (game audio only) to isolate mic on track 1 (which has both game audio and mic). I did have a search, but could only find advice on general removal of background music and was hoping that having the separate game audio track might mean there is a more effective way to do it. Thanks in advance
Add the Voodoo from Adobe Podcast Voice enhancer as an effect available in Audition - it is annoying to have to pay for that when we've already paid for Audition, just add it as an effect.
For some reason, now that I am done mixing my radio show, the entire session, nor selected clips will export to mp3. How do I fix this? I have restarted my computer and everything.Discussion successfully moved from The Lounge to Audition CS5.5, CS6 & CC

For educational purposes, I modified my Audition session file to change the sample rate to 520 Hz (around the sample rate of a low-end AM radio broadcast) as part of an effort to emulate the sound of an old radio broadcast. I was able to drag an audio clip into the first track (which After Effects automatically resampled to 520 Hz for me), but I was not able to play it back, as all playback controls were disabled for some reason. How do I fix this? It is an absolute requirement that I use a low sample rate for this project (not really, I'd just prefer to do it that way).
I had a section of multitrack selected and the individual track soloed so I could EQ it. The audio stopped but the playhead kept moving and there was an audio reading at the bars on the track. I deselected and realised I couldn't hear any of the other tracks as well. All of the tracks have readings on their individual tracks when playing, however the main reading bar on the bottom does not have a reading. I've tried turning 'meter input reading' on but it's greyed out. I also don't think the master is muted. I think I've toggled something to turn off the audio but I'm not sure what, any advice to get audio back would be appreciated.
I'm somewhat new to the Audition scene so be gentle. 🙂I've got a good library of CD's that I've ripped to FLAC and then converted to mp3 for easy access on my phone (I prefer not to stream). I want to (naturally) make my music all sound relatively the same in terms of volume/loudness. However, some albums (like Dark Side of the Moon) have softer songs and I want to preserve that softness.I know how to use the "match loudness" option (which I like) for individual tracks. But I want to match the loudness for an entire album as one piece.I remember a long time ago I found an article about using the "open append" option and can make the adjustment there but don't remember the steps to save/export the updated, individual mp3 files. So, using Dark Side of the Moon as an example. I can make the loudness change(s) I want using the open append option, but want Audition to save/export the 10 individual tracks instead of one, long, conjoined track. If there's a better way to do it, I'm all
I'm making narration files. When I look at my waveforms they are asymmetric: the waves look different on the top than the bottom. But the display is set up to look like it should be mirroring. Of course I don't even know what waveforms really mean. I don't know what the upper and lower parts represent. I've already saved it as Mono.
Hi AuditionForum,is anybody aware of a 'solo band' feature within the Parametric Equaliser effect? It is a feature which allows you to select a particular frequency band and, by holding down a key, hear nothing but that frequency band.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Jeff
I have been using Audition and saving files as .wav, and also doing the 'save as' to save as mp3. When saving as mp3, the file name always used to end with .mp3, but recently it shows .wav and .mp3 as the options, and defaults to .wav. This means every time I save an mp3 file, I must type 'mp3' over where it defaults to .wav. This sudden change only happened after I upgraded a sound card. I looked at Windows file associations, but it doesn't help. How can I make Audition revert back to only saving mp3 files with an mp3 extension, and without defaulting to the .wav extension? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I'm one of the IT guys at my company, and a user reached out reporting that Adobe Audition is crashing constantly. I replaced their computer recently and they just tried using Audition as of last week, but it's crashing as soon as they open the applicaiton. The user has tried versions 24.03, 24.0, 23.6.2, and 23.0 to no avail. I've attached the crash log that they sent me.
In Premiere, Command+A allows you to select everything in the timeline after the clip you select, so you can move all clips at once. Is there a similar way to do that in Audition?
Hello. I just installed Audition CC 2019 on a new Mac running Mojave. How do I get my Favorites from another Mac in (the right) place?
MacOS Monterey, Audition 24.0.3.3I've just begun editing podcast episodes in audition as it is the easiet option in my employers workflow. I wanted to know if there is a better way to adjust the volume in specific selections in the multitrack view? In the waveform view I can make a selection and adjust the gain, great, but there is no gain line (is there a way to enable one?), it is destructive and difficult to change later if needed. In multitrack I can do pretty much the same thing but I have to right click and use "silence selection" command. It adds a nice little dip in the gain line that shows me where I've changed the volume, but it makes really ridiculous keyframe lines if you don't drag your mouse perfecly straight and you have to fiddle with it back and forth to keep it flat. That is the only way I've figured out how to do that in multitrack, I think it would be great to be able to just drag the gain line in the clip and it ajdust the volume where selected. Am I missing a
Hello! In Pro Tools when automation is enabled on a track (TOUCH) and volume is adjusted, it essentially "draws" keyframes on the audio file based on your fader movements. If you want to bounce a track without the envelopes you could switch the automation on the channel to OFF. In Audition automation for the faders appears to be completely separate from the volume envelopes. Is this the case? And if so is there a way to (temporarily) disable volume envelopes short of copying a waveform, then selecting all it's keyframes to delete them?
