Audition

In Premiere, Command+A allows you to select everything in the timeline after the clip you select, so you can move all clips at once. Is there a similar way to do that in Audition?

Hello. I just installed Audition CC 2019 on a new Mac running Mojave. How do I get my Favorites from another Mac in (the right) place?

MacOS Monterey, Audition 24.0.3.3I've just begun editing podcast episodes in audition as it is the easiet option in my employers workflow. I wanted to know if there is a better way to adjust the volume in specific selections in the multitrack view? In the waveform view I can make a selection and adjust the gain, great, but there is no gain line (is there a way to enable one?), it is destructive and difficult to change later if needed. In multitrack I can do pretty much the same thing but I have to right click and use "silence selection" command. It adds a nice little dip in the gain line that shows me where I've changed the volume, but it makes really ridiculous keyframe lines if you don't drag your mouse perfecly straight and you have to fiddle with it back and forth to keep it flat.That is the only way I've figured out how to do that in multitrack, I think it would be great to be able to just drag the gain line in the clip and it ajdust the volume where selected. Hello!  In Pro Tools when automation is enabled on a track (TOUCH) and volume is adjusted, it essentially "draws" keyframes on the audio file based on your fader movements.  If you want to bounce a track without the envelopes you could switch the automation on the channel to OFF.  In Audition automation for the faders appears to be completely separate from the volume envelopes.  Is this the case? And if so is there a way to (temporarily) disable volume envelopes short of copying a waveform, then selecting all it's keyframes to delete them?

Hi. Any chance the Adobe developer team will add Ai to Audition to assist in voice changes? I use Audition to record audio for cartoon animation and having presets to help change my voice that I can then save for each particular character would be an enormous time saver for me. I'm female and would like to make my masculine  character voices more believable. Thanks much!

Hi AllI have a really annoying problem with my Adobe / Rode combination. When I select this combination of Input and Output, Adobe doesnt work - its as though the mic isnt connected.As you can see, the input and output is selected to the Rode AL-1 and device manager is showing that both the input and output drivers are installed correctly. Also, there are no problems with the IRQ's. But when I select this combination, it works fine but I dont get anything coming through the headphones (which are plugged into the AL-1).The Rode AL-1 is using the USB AUDIO DEVICE DRIVER for Sound and the AL-1 is using the AUDIO ENDPOINT DRIVER (two enteries in device manager) for the mic input.   I have now come to a dead end. So has anyone got any ideas? Thanks  

Hello, When I split a track in audition 2024 and make the edits in the clip and then connect the clips together (before merging to make sure it sounds good), the clips easily glide across one another and overlap. I noticed they no longer connect (like tetris), but I have to zoom in to the minute second in order to connect the two clips to make sure the conversation flows (before merging). However, not too long ago - maybe a month or so (could have been while I still used Audition 2023), clips that were split easily came together. Like tetris, they clicked together without me having to zoom into the fullest magnification as possible, which made editing and clipping much smoother. Is there any way to see the latter in Audition 2024? Or any suggestions? Thank you, Nicole

Hello everyone, I posted about this subject in the Adobe Premiere forums to ask how to fix this, but I also want to know in Audition if there is a way for me find these errors in a simple way.   After rendering (in Premiere Pro) I can randomly get audio popping through the file. This audio popping doesnt show up in the edit, and it's really random after rendering, some renders turn out fine, and some turn out damaged, without changing a thing   Here is the spectral in Audition of 2 rendered versions (havent changed a thing, one turned out bad, and out turned out good)   There is a giant line right when the error happens (in 6:35,6). This is the same part, without the error.    Is there a way for me to know the file have errors without having to visually look? Or listen to it? Because sometime in longer files is a problem to have to listen multiple times after rendering until I get a good render   Thank you

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help, At times when I'm recording sound in Audtion the sound clips a lot and then is distorted, I don't know why audition does this, The only way to fix it to me is to uninstall audition and then reinstall it and it's now getting tiresome to do that every other day or week, If someone could help me then that would be amazing 🙂

I often want to move audio and at the same time move the markers I have placed over that audio. I can't figure out how to do this -- which renders the markers much less useful since, once a piece of audio is marked, I have to leave it where it is or lose the marker.How do you select audio clips and markers at the same time?

Hi all, Is there some sort of keyboard shortcut for "move to marker #" ? I know there are for "move to next/previous" marker, but if I have several markers and need to get to different points immediately, I don't see a way to do it via shortcut. Specifically, I want to add this shortcut to my Stream Deck so, if I'm playing back different cues on my movie set, I can do it in an instant. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. 

Hi, I am a beginner, I have a recorded voice track and a sound effect track in parallel, it really short only 9 seconds long but when I press play, the line or recording still carries on in silence, how do I cut short the recording to what I have?

I have uninstalled the latest version and reinstalled it. I have uninstalled it and installed an older version - tried 3 versions, and no matter what I do, it crashes upon open. Funny how you add a crash file to my desktop when it happens but I cant attach it - as its not an allowed file type. But you created it, so how is it not..  anyways, I NEED this to work as I use this for my job.

Hello! Really hoping someone can help before I tear my hair out. I've been frantically searching the forums and googling, but I can't find a really simple troubleshooting guide / steps. I bought a Windows laptop rather than a Mac for Audition as I'm more familiar with windows so thought I could get started faster. I've had an absolute nightmare getting it to record single track audio in Audition. I'm struggling with how to set the mic input level in the windows settings. Too low and I'm yelling into that mic even with gain turned up on the audio interface. If I turn the gain up too high the levels are ok but I get distortion and hissing in the recording. After the update to 24, media browser now scrolls at slowest speed when using a mouse scroll wheel, all other areas have acceleration.

After sorting out several past problems, Audition works great for me. Nice and quick. Unless, however, I have too many clips in a multitrack session. I can open a new session, bring in a single (albeit long) WAV file, adding no effects, and once I start cutting that file up into clips, it eventually gets really sluggish when it comes to dragging clips around. Once it's a couple hundred clips long, It can take around a half second for Audition to catch up when I click and drag a clip somewhere.Does anyone else have this experience? Is there anything I can do to speed things up? I work in a similar fashion in other programs like Sony Vegas and Reaper, and they don't experience this very significant slowdown.

I am working on a project where I have to analyze 3 video files and 2audio files' frequencies simultanously; all of the wav files have information up to 98kHz.  Does the spectral frequency display go high enough to display 98kHz?If so, is it possible to view 2 spectral frequency displays with 3 streams of video all playing simultaneously? Any help is greatly appreciated 🙂

Hi everyone, I'm trying to clean some audio files for a short video I've made, we record with a F6 and the sound engeneer has recorded the tracks in a multichannels file, the problem is that when I try to open a file from the multitrack to the waveform to clean it up it show me this message on the noise rediction panel: "The channelization of the current noise print does not match the channelization of the active file. For optimal result, capture a new noise print from the active file".of course I've capture the noise print from the file I'm working on and I don't know what to do 

hi there, is there anyone who can help me?I had an important interview with my host and I clearly remembered that I had already saved it completely. however, when I tried to open it the next day, the file only saved the very beginning part of the origin (the whole recording should be 1h but only 1 min. left!!) here is the clue that I think might cause the problem: my C disk doesn't have enough storage to contain a huge volume recording but I didn't see the warning while I saved it. I have tried any method that I could find on the website, ranging from downloading the transfer, using some software to retrieve the corrupted file to trying to find a backup on my computer. it is very weird, I'm sure that I have saved it completely according to the type of backup i saved but i can't open it since audition showed that it didn't support the form of the type stream

I noticed a few months ago a new issue appeared post-update where some VST/3 effects simply refuse to work when rendering/applying in the Waveform editor. So far I'm seeing this with some Soundtoys plugins like EchoBoy, and some iZotope plugins like Neutron 4. Sometimes the effects will work on a second try, as if I had to "activate" it or something. In the case of EchoBoy, it just flat out refuses to render. Yes I have the license activated. Everything seems to work fine in realtime and in Multitrack, and they print as expected when downmixing/exporting. But in waveform view when editing destructively, its as if certain effects are just being ignored when hitting apply, with seemingly no rhyme or reason outside being third party (have not yet seen the issue with stock effects). I've noticed overall Audition has become incredibly unstable since the clip marker update. With many of these issues, I just have to restart the program. But here nothing has worked. I am not sure what els

We brought in a new voice actor for a studio recording.  He is a singer but had never done voiceover work.  Even double micing him (416 and TLM 103), trying every manner of angle and positioning, we could not help but pick up these weird nasal squeaks (almost like nasal "farts" heh).  If he held his nose, they disappeared.  I've never seen nasal sounds this loud before, and no matter what he did or what we did, they were littered through our recording. So far, I can't get them out, no matter what I do in post.  Anyone have experience with getting these out in post in Audition?  Or through any other means? I attached a brief clip of it via dropbox.  The recording is in Japanese, and the first one is on the TLM103, then the 416, then a separate clip from the 416 with a slight variation of the nasal sound. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/5slpev507lyc631vr8zhr/Nose-sounds.m4a?rlkey=95785fbgybfuczmod28k2b008&dl=0

I record a track in Mutitrack, pull it up in Waveform, adjust the volume, and the audio disappears!  When I re-call it up in Multitrak, it appears the audio is there, but it will not play.  Going back to Waveform, the track is empty.  Have I lost this track permanently?  Why did this occur?
