I've done some searching online and on Adobe Community but have not found any answers. Is there a way to route video to an external monitor when using Audition? I want to be able to have clients in the edit suite and watching the "big screen" and also hear the mix I am doing in Audition. The edit suite system is set up with BlackMagic DeckLink 4K and can output video to multiple monitors when using After Effects, Premiere or Resolve. However, when using Audition, it doesn't seem to be able to send video to the DeckLink 4K. I would love to be able to route the video playback in Audition to external monitors. What is the recommended way to do this? Otherwise I seem to have to have clients sit at my desk looking at my computer monitors. Not the greatest user experience. Thanks for any tech advise on this.
So I recently bought a new laptop. It has Windows 7, 64-bit installed on it. All my programs installed just fine, except Adobe Audition 3. I install the program, and the first time I open it, it opens just fine. I can even open an audio file it. Then, I close it and the next time I try to open it, it states:"Adobe Audition could not find a supported audio device".I tried installing the 3.0.1 patch; nothing. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling; nothing. I've been running it in Windows Vista SP1 and Windows XP modes; nothing! This is driving me crazy!I have a Realtek High Definition Audio sound card installed and enabled, driver version 6.0.1.6098.I don't know what to do anymore, there must be some fix to this. It's driving me crazy and I'm sad because I bought this program when I still had Windows Vista thinking I could use it on my next computer.
Hi, I play electronic drums and source drum sounds i.e. cymbals, snare, toms, kick etc. as .wav files which I can load to my kit brain.I do not subscribe to Adobe Audition or Adobe Audition CC.My problem is that these .wav files are at different volumes. Is it possible to multiple import them and set them all at the same volume. I need then to save them as separate .wav files. Being drum sounds they are not large files. I have tried using the Amplify, Equalizer and Normalize functions in Audacity and Wavepad Sound Editor but they do not achieve what I want. Also I do not keep the original pitch of each .wav file. Thanks for any help you can give me.
I was recording about a 20 minute track, usually speaking for 5 seconds, then stopping and hearing my clips over again to check I sound good. This is significant because I know that my microphone was working and audition got a clean copy of my audio, at least initially. I did a lot of edits on the spot too, meaning I cut and silenced lots of audio, along with saving my progress every hour or so. Then I went from the start to look for any final edits I could make when I realized some parts of my audio was randomly silenced, with a spectral view that looks like this: In addition to the silencing some parts of my audio got distorted too, like turning what was once a four second clip of me saying something into me repeating the first second of that clip four times (and losing the rest). Again I need to reiterate that there was a point in time where I played back my audio after recording and made sure that it sounded ok so I don't think it's a hardware problem. &n
Hi My Mac Mini 2014 has given up the ghost. I have bought an iMac with High Sierra 10.13.6 can I use AU with this operating software?
When will CD burning options be back for the M1 MacBook Pro on Adobe Audition? I haven't been able to do this for the past years!
Hi, I need to know how to control the fast forward speed when listening to audio. I have long interviews that I need to review and would like to speed up the playback by about 50% -- enough so that I can listen quicker, but not too fast so that I can still follow what's happening. How can I make the fast forward function go a bit slower when I am listening to an interview?
Hello, today in a stereo file I see the left and right channel both in the same window, like a mono file, but the file is stereo.I've try to load the "classic" work space (I am translating from the Italian version), but nothing happen.Any hint? Thanks.
Hola a todos. Estoy editando una serie, y necesito unir dos proyectos (cada uno es un capítulo) para hacer un capítulo largo. Hay alguna mandera de juntar dos sesiones multipista?
Heads up - I am re-posting something as the Adobe Professional that was replying was insisting that the issue could not be Adobe related, dismissed the issue entirely, was very condescending about the whole ordeal and stopped replying. Here it is again: Hi guys, I run a Dell XPS 8940 Tower with an Intel i9 processor, NVIDIA 2060 RTX Super w/ 8g processing power, 64g of memory, Windows 10 Pro 64bit through a Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL with a 96k sample rate. As I am recording my podcasts (as I produce several), the recording will seize up and stop. The playhead will continue but the track recording stops. Here's what that looks like broken down: -The monitors go completely quiet-The recording freezes completely-A strange sound comes through the monitor (a beep, almost sounds like interference from a cell phone) for a split second.-The playhead and timer continue on but the recording stops entirely with the monitors active again. In terms of audition, I record in multi
I am reviewing audio of an interview and correcting its transcript using Adobe CC Audition on a Mac. Since the audio can be difficult to understand, I need to listen to some segments multiple times. I know that I can use option+left arrow to replay sections from the last place I paused. Is there a way to move back and forth in small increments after I’ve hit pause?
When I record in Edit view the audio comes out choppy but if I recording in the Multitrack View it records just fine. What am I missing?
Hi all,I'm a fairly proficient user of Audition but am stumped by my current issue.Any time I try to record new audio, Audition will record the first split second of sound, then the recording just goes silent. I have been using my current mic and settings with Audition for years. I've tested my mic in other recording softwares and they all work fine. I've attached a screenshot. Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂
Hello! I've read all of the other posts and am at a loss. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted my MacBook Pro, and still have crackling upon playback. I have a deadline for editing this podcast and am trying to figure out what I did or didn't do so this doesn't happen again. Any thoughts?
No settings were changed. It's just that at a certain point I found that the recording sounded like this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1H2nHBPeqa8_N2azD3zVZhGyr2wp13--8/view?usp=sharing Everything here is the same as before:Attempts to reboot the computer, reconnect the sound card, etc. did not solve the problem. The order was urgent, I had to look for workarounds. Recorded what I needed in Premiere Pro - all was recorded there fine. How to fix this "alien's voice" :)))
I am using Audition CS6. What I want to do: saving my 5.1 audio mix into six individual mono files Once I imported my 5.1 wav file into Audition I can use the option to extract all channels into mono files. This works nicely if it is just a single 5.1 track. However when I am putting two 5.1 tracks into the same track one after the other (in multi tzrack mode) the option to extract all channels into mono files is greyed out, i.e. it is not available. Hpw do I overcome this problem?
V.23.1 I want it to playback about 1/8 normal speed. I don't care if it pitch-corrects - I just want to study a complex rhythm. Thanks in advance.
Hi all Any help here would be truly appreciated. Lately I have been burning CDRs at -16 lufs and I was recommended to up the level to -9 or -10 lufs as I am using wav files. The thing is I have also heard if you up the level too high you can lose the dynamics of the music. I would love to hear your views on what would be a reasonable lufs level without losing the dynamics of the music. Thanks!
I have done everything I can. Even increased value of paging! This technically should not be happening. Notice from screenshot above that the DAW sipps all resources. Pre-rendering does not work. Please help! This happens during recording and playback. My computer is brand new and I copied the exact settings from the older one. Thanks so much in advance for your help!
Using the Stretch and Pitch filter on an audio clip, I attempted to simply speed up the clip from 2 minutes to 1.5 minutes in length. The results, using either the Audition or Izotope algorithm, are a disaster - garbled, warbly audio; completely useless.I'm using the "Speed up" settings, allowing the application to "choose appropriate defaults. In CS6, Audition worked very well for this task, if slowly, but here the results are impossible to use.Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong?
Hi everyone,I'd like to set a First-Order-Ambisonic Multitrack session in Audition. I know that Audition is not specifically suited for multichannel-multitrack sessions since its presets are limited to few standards like 5.1. Anyway I'd love to use Audition for my FOA project (since I love Audition's tools). What I'm planning to do - please, let me know if I'm wrong - is to start with a 5.1 session (since 5.1 implies 6 channels) and add a 5.1 track that I call track-1. In track-1 I'd add an FOA AmbiX clip (i.e. a B-format 4-chan clip) and as an effect I'd add (just for example) the IEM MultiBandComp. This compressor expects a 4-chan file (not a 5.1 file...) and what I HOPE is that it will receive ONLY the first 4 channels and output 4 channels as well. I also HOPE that Audition doesn't “treat” the 4th channel (LFE) in any way nor with any bandpass or whatsoever filter (I need that Audition stays “neutral” about all the track/clip channels leaving them as they are). If so, the Master tra
Is there a way to simulate 4 people sitting around a campfire so that when person “A” speaks it sounds like he is in the upper left, person “B” upper right, person “C”, lower left, and person “D” lower right?I’ve looked at panning and Doppler Shift effects.
Bonjour !
I record Zoom interviews via the Rodecaster Pro and am happy with the WAV audio I edit in AA. however when I then edit together with the music I find I can hear sounds like me breathing in, a kind of woosh sound when ever I finish speaking that I could not hear in the intitial audio. Why does this happen? I am having to use the initial WAV file in Ferrite on my iPad to retain the quality of sound as it will be lost on AA. Why?
Hello, I've had to reinstall OSX and with it Audition CS6 / Lightroom 6 - I have standalone versions of each, not in use on any other Mac. Neither will work with online activation any more, but the offline activation is giving a message that my serial number is invalid instead of a response code. The serial number is valid, but how do I persuade Adobe that it is? Does anyone know how I can get the request/response codes to work again? I'm using https://aoes-stage.licensingstack.com/aoes/aoes/v1/IMSLogin as instructed. Adobe told me they can't support the perpetual products by phone so to post on here and request developer / community help to resolve the problem, though it seems to me the change is at the account/server side in that Adobe has flagged these older licences as no longer valid somehow. Any help much appreciated! Thanks.
