Bridge is taking forever to load thumbnails, then eventually crashes. HELP!!
Hello, I have been having issues with Adobe Bridge. Each time I try to open the Bridge app, I have to restart my laptop in order to open the app, even if I just turned on the computer.. When I start to edit then save, a error message pops up that says, " Unable to save the raw settings. There was a error writing the file. " I have been editing on this SD card with the images just fine, but now nothing is saving! What can I do??
We're happy to announce the Public release of Adobe Bridge 16.0.1 This December 2025 release of Adobe Bridge addresses key issues reported by our users. Key fixes in this update: [Mac] Dragging a folder or file onto the Bridge icon in the 'Dock' and 'Finder Toolbar'' does not launch Bridge [MacOS–Tahoe] Intermittent crash while renaming a file in List/Details view. Intermittent crash while renaming 'Smart Collection' or 'Workflow'. For more details, see the full list of Fixed issues. Note: As always, the update will be rolled out incrementally. If you do not see the update in the Creative Cloud Desktop app, please wait until we roll out the public update to all users. To update Bridge to 16.0.1, click "Update" in the Creative Cloud desktop app next to Bridge. More detailed instructions for updating click here.
in LR Classic I see the (sub)location and country where the photo was taken, but not in Bridge... Of course I enabled XMP and IPTC Core
After running sucessful Batch Rename to a series of (PNG) files, editing metadata for those files consistently fails to apply those edits to the first file, where the metadata is more or less sucessfully applied to other selected files. (Sometimes, without regularity, one or two files, typically in the 20th to 24th position also fails to apply the metedata to on or two files, but this is not consistent.) Repeating the same metadata edits is sucessful the second time it's attempted to all files. This behavior seems to consistently occur after Batch Rename runs, and does not occur if metadata edits are attempted without a prior Batch Rename.
Can anyone help? Bridge crashing as I tried to rate Olympus RAW (ORF) files. I've shot Olympus since March with no such problem until yesterday. Though I rarely use Lightroom I got the same crash. This is a large folder of large photos. No problem working with processed JPEG files.Updated Bridge, reinstalled, cleared cache re-started computer, updated NVDIA graphics card.Windows 11. Microcenter gaming computer.Thanks.
I just installed Photoshop and Bridge on an M4 Mac Mini connected to a calibrated wide gamut display. Images show correct colors in Photoshop but Bridge thumbnails are oversaturated. They look fine in Bridge on my Windows PC but it seems Bridge on my Mac is ignoring my monitor's color profile and displaying oversaturated thumbnails due to the monitor's wide color gamut. I even asked ChatGPT and Gemini for help. Both gave me different possible solutions, neither worked.
Bridge doesn't generate thumbnails for certain file types ( *.HEIC, *.PNG, *.MOV etc.)Since Bridge is being used as a simple gallery and media sorting app, being able to see thumbnail previews for all supported file types is a must.Could you please prioritize this feature in a future update?
I would like to export a field from a FileMaker database to Bridge.More specifically:I have about 100 photos in the FileMaker database, each with a detailed description (title, technique, size, etc.); the individual details are then combined in a formula to form an overall description for each image:e.g., Bouquet of Flowers - Watercolor - 18x24This formula field now needs to be exported for all 100 photos to a metadata field for the corresponding photo in Bridge, e.g., description, so that I can then access it in Lightroom or InDesign. Is there a workflow for this?
Hello, I am running out of patience with using the "Copy to" function via the right-click menu. If I prepare several folders and then use the right-click menu and "copy to" to copy RAW photos to them, usually nothing happens and the copying only works on the xth attempt. If I use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, it works immediately—but I have to do it for each folder separately, which is time-consuming. Could you please look into this? This happens in both the current (2026) and previous versions of Bridge.Best regards,Michal T.
I just updated to CC2026 including the ACR 18.0. But I've noticed that when I opened a raw-file and during the selection of a preset a messsage appeared that the support of the GPU is stopped due to an unknown failure. This happened nearly all the time, sometime only after the third file. When this issue appeared I've to restart not only ACR but also Bridge. My operation system is Win10 with the lastest updates.
Is it just me guys? Working on Macbook Pro 2021, M1 Pro. Bridge is 16.0.1.18. I do like the '26 Photoshop and Bridge quite a lot. But then client sent the 16bit images lol. And done. Reset bridge, reset and dump cache is on external SSD drive, the fastest I have - not working. If you have a way how to make it work - I'm all ear, guys! Thanks
Error message: "The code execution cannot proceed because ICUUC77.DLL was not found.I tried reinstalling but that didn't help. Any suggestions?
Issue: Bridge stops responding when I try to access settingsBridge version: 2026 16.0.0.63OS version: Sequoia 15.6.1 I am trying to get the file size, dimensions in inches and pixels, etc. to show under the thumbnails in bridge. When I try to access settings, Bridge stops responding and I have to force quit.I expect it to take me to a window in which I have access to make these changes.I have already given bridge full disk access in settings and purged the cache.
Is there a way in Adobe Bridge to create metadata templates that span multiple folders so as when looking for a template from the menu it better organised/easy to find; example (tools -> replace metadata -> birds/insects/wildlife as maim submenu (and under each would be another submenu based on folder structure for the particular species involved where template files actually reside). If not is there another way to achieve this? In current implementation there is only 1 folder, so if you have/rely on many templates you'll need to scroll endlessly to find the right one. Thanks in advance for some help and if there is no way around it would it be an interesting feature to add in next release/upgrade for Bridge so we can ask Adobe to make this happen?
This is still now fixed. Can Adobe please take note. Bridge 2026 (issue still not resolved from Bridge 2025).Mac OSX 15.7 Sequoia Try scrolling a loupe over the large preview of an photo (scrolling the loupe with a trackpad or mouse), it does not want to scroll small amounts... so you need to move the mouse faster, at which point the loupe suddenly jumps into action juddering a long distance forward, then stops. A nightmare. Adobe you have my email pleae respond and say you are lookng into this. It's been 2 years now, and nothing done. This is super basic stuff, plase sort it out, or just ask AI to sort it for you, whatever is easiest for you, just do it, surely me paying you counts for something? I know of NO other software that cannot scroll small amounts, slowly and smoothly, none, except Bridge.
What cloud storage solutions are people using successfully with Bridge? Using Box Sync to store files locally and in the cloud has been working beautifully for us for years, but they just announced they will no longer support it after December 2026. Box Drive not working with Bridge is a known limitation, so unless they fix it before then, we'll need to find a different solution. What is working for folks, and what services have you run into issues with? My team is primarily on Macs.
I have a new computer, and unfortunately, I can no longer install Bridge 2022 from Adobe Creative Cloud. After installing 2026, I immediately remember why I stopped updating Bridge and continued using 2022. But now that I can no longer download 2022, I'm wondering if there are solutions to the following problems.- I edit many photos on my laptop while traveling, entering all the information into the EXIF fields. When I get home, I want to download the photos from the memory card using the Adobe Bridge Photo Downloader. However, with the current version(s), it no longer includes the .XMP files when importing. So, only the photos without .XMP files appear in the import folder, and all edits and EXIF information are lost. How do I include the .XMP files when importing?- When editing metadata, I have several templates with presets. If I want to modify one of them, I go to "Edit metadata template." For example, in the description section, I have multiple lines of text describing the pho
Hi everyone, We're excited to announce a new Adobe Community experience is coming this January. A little bit about the update: The new experience will be simpler to navigate, make it easier to connect with other creatives and Adobe experts, and is designed so you have a say in the evolution of the Adobe apps you use each day. In the meantime: Adobe Community will remain active. Keep using it as usual—there will be no interruption in access. In fact, you’ll notice even more Adobe Experts on deck to provide faster responses before, during, and after the update. No existing content will be lost in the update. Every single post, reply, solution, feature request, and bug report you’ve made will be transferred to the new experience. You won't need to recreate anything. Existing content will reappear in two phases. At launch, posts created on or before November 16th will be available immediately. A few weeks later you’ll see posts created between November 17th and launch day. W

Bridge is trying to render thumbnails from .raw and .RAW Noritsu and Pakon filmscanner files because it's thinking they are Panasonic.raw files. This results in a never ending loop with 600% CPU load with freeze, which even gets my Mac M5 cooking. Please add an option for not rendering certain file types.

Besides, i see 100% load on idle with a fresh install with all startup scripts deactivated and CEO extensions removed, sitting in a folder with .dng files. So something is severely wrong here. Sorry for double posting. But the structure here is a bit confusing when coming from google. Breadcrumbs for navigation on smartphones would be a smart approach instead of 5 redirections.
I can enter full screen preview when a still image is selected by pressing the space bar. I can move to a video file using the arrow keys while still in preview. I cannot launch full screen video preview by pressing the space bar. Bridge 16.0.0 on Windows 11 To repro:- Have a set of still images and videos in a folder.- Select a still image.- Press the space bar.- I see the image in full screen. Nice.- Press the arrow keys to see a video in full screen. Nice.- Press ESC to exit full screen preview.- Select a video.- Press the space bar. Result: Nothing happens.Expected: Space bar enters full screen video preview, just like it does for still images.
