Bridge

Hi folks, today I updated Bridge 22 to the new 23 version.In the old versions I configured my workspaces to open on different positions on my monitors, e.g. workspace1 on monitor 1 in full screen and workspace2 on monitor 2 in half screen. When I canged the spaces, they automatically changed position and size.In the 23 version they do not. I imagine that there was an option where you could set this, but can´t find it anymore. Has anyone an idea?

Since the last version, bridge can no longer remember the last folder to which data was moved. Instead, only "desktop" is displayed and you have to specify the folder to which you want to move again and again. It's similar with "open with" there you only had to enter Photoshop once and then you had it forever, now I have to select the program with which I want to open the photos every time. This version is absolutely bugged, there are problems on every corner, absolute crap! 

Good day,I wondered if someone could help.I use adobe illustrator mainly alongside bridge most of the time.I am also running the software "Onyx-Thrive" as a rip queue for wide-format printing.I don't know if an update installed recently has caused my problem or if it's related to the Adobe updates.But since then I am now unable to see the thumbnail preview or open any PDF files. I'm advised they are read-only. Can anyone help with this? I've uninstalled most of the Adobe suite I have installed and reinstalled it.Illustrator appears to open the PDF's but Acrobat does not plus no thumbnails at all in Bridge.Many thanksSimon

From reading messages posted on this forum by owners of M1 Macs, I gather that Bridge is currently unuseable for searching by keywords.  I've used Bridge as my image assets manager on Windows PCs for six years and have a lot of study and hard work invested in learning Bridge's features and adding keywords and other metadata to my images.  Needless to say I am disappointed to learn that, although Photoshop will now work fairly well on my new Mac mini M1, Bridge will not, and Adobe has not set an ETA for an ARM-compatible version. In the meantime, I would really like to find a way to search my image library by keyword. I thought perhaps I could use Lightroom Classic to perform simple searches, but posts on Adobe's Lightroom Forum make it sound like the effort to get Lightroom up and working would be considerable. I have looked online at about 10 digital asset management programs.  The only ones that seem to fit the bill without breaking the bank are ACDsee P

Using Adobe Bridge to edit my raw images in camera raw. After editing the whole album I go back and batch rename.... weird thing is as it renames them it takes all the editing away! Any ideas? Has this happened to someone before? Help me troubleshoot and figure out what's going on? It's never happened before 😩 and right now during peek season is not the time to deal with it! Help!

Photoshop 2022  25.5.0Bridge 2022  12.0.3.270Windows 10, 64 bit, 21H2 Possible Bridge 2022 BugI've now done this on my desktop and laptop which both run the same versions of PS and BR and Bridge 2022 will crash on both when doing the following: Save an image with a text layer as a TIFF in a folder.Access the folder with Bridge and Bridge will crash.Save an image with a text layer as a PSD in a folder.Bridge behaves normally. Bridge 2022 will also not crash when browsing similar TIFFs created using Photoshop CS6. Can someone else confirm this behaviour? Russell  

When u rate images 5*, 4*, 3*, 2*, 1* The rating gets disappeared n u have to click the star number again to set the rating. it was getting rated with just one click before. though some images get rated with one click

I had to drop back a couple days to a restore point and now Bridge needs the latest update;  i.e., the one that returned the automatic image loading to Bridge.  I've tried reloading the latest update, but I keep getting the "You're Up to Date" notice.  The current version number for the Bridge on my computer is 12.03.270, which I'm sure is not correct. Do I have to reload Bridge 2023 or just the update?  Thanks! Windows 10 pro.

In the new Bridge 2023 on Windows 10, I have this problem that when You have made Your own workspace, windows/panels that You will have shown, then when I click the "maximize/restore" button in the upper right corner, the panels alter their size.In the Bridge 2022, I could that way make Bridge only a third in the width, with one colomn of thumbnails (content) in one panel, and the whole folder-tree in an other.......! That's a perfect way to select and drag images into other Adobe programs! Bridge 2023 doesn't work that way any longer...............!  😞 RegardGert Laursen

I just updated to Bridge 2023 and Photoshop 2023. Now, if I want to OPEN a photograph in Bridge, nothing happens. It's used to be, in the earlier versions of Bridge and Photoshop, I could open a file in Bridge, then open it in Photoshop. Already I have uninstalled both B '23 and PS '23 and reinstalled both. The inability to open to Photoshop a file in Bridge remains. This has worked for years, I am now in a bind because the workarounds are time consuming. Can anyone help? Mahalo!

Bridge 13.0.1.583 on Windows 11 22H2In a Collection (not Smart Collection) I noticed that the "Remove From Collection" button works only sporadically. However, selecting images, right clicking and using "Remove From Collection" via the context menu works without issue.Tested on two PCs with the same result.

I have Bridge v 13.01 installed on an iMac18.3 (27-inch, 2017) 3.5 GHz Intel Core i5, with 32 GB DDRAM, running macOS Ventura 13.0.1 and, using it is an almost impossible task.I've been using Bridge for many years, to catalog my photos, and it's always been somewhat slow, specially, loading all the photos in a folder or a collection. But in this version, the slowness extends to pretty much everything.Even worse is that, now, is total impossibility to use the program to edit the metadata (what I use it exclusively for!). I just select 2 photos and try to fill in the keyword, the subject, or any other field and, as soon as I write the first letters, the field is empty again... although, by the message that appears when I try to select another photo, it seems to be assuming what I write, because it asks me if I want to discard the changes made. But I cannot see what it assume I've written!Identical situation occurs when I try to insert GPS coordinates or any other field. And after, s

Hi,when reviewing images in Bridge Review Mode, I see some of the pics blurred. It's not a matter of time or RAW/Jpeg format. It happens anyway, also if I chose 1500x1500 jpeg. And if I start the review one more time, without exiting from review mode, the blurred images can be the the same ore different ones. Any idea of what it could be?Note: I have a brand new Macbook Air M2 with 16gb RAM and 512gb SSD. I attach a screen video to let you see what happen.

Is it possible to have a "group by type" like in Finder/windows explorer?If not, where can i request to adobe?

Today I installed the new Adobe Bridge 2023 release (13.0.0.562). When previewing an image full screen (by tapping the spacebar), when I hit the spacebar again to close the full screen image, the preview window displays two instances of the same image. If you repeat this, a third appears, and so on. This must be a bug.     {Thread title updated by moderator}  

Ich habe viele Bilder mit Bewertungen (1-5) versehen. Es gibt dabei zwei unterschiedliche Shorcuts über die Tastatur um diese Filter zu nutzen: Die zweite Option mit Befehl + Wahl + Umschalt + 1-5 funktioniert seit dem update auf 13.0 nicht mehr. Wurde auch mit der neuen 13.0.1 nicht behoben. 

Very frustrated with this version (13.0.0.562, on Windows 11).  Scroll bar arrows are gone (makes slow-scrolling difficult), selection following a search is not preserved when I leave the search, processing a raw file does not change the “modified” date, update did not preserve bit depth preference, slideshow causes flickering for monotone images, frequent crashes.

I have noticed an annoying little problem with previewing photos in Adobe Bridge 2023 that was never a problem in previous versions. I don't know if this is a new feature that was introduced or if this is some kind of bug. When I am sorting through photos from a recent shoot, I like to press the space bar to preview the photos in full screen and add labels / stars to them as I'm viewing them using Command + [number keys]. However, I have noticed that if I exit the full-screen preview for any reason, instead of just selecting the photo I exited the preview on, Bridge will make a selection of both the photo I started on and the photo I ended on. This is a minor issue, but it interrupts my workflow because now if I go back to full screen, it will only alternate between these two images and I can't continue on until I manually go back and deselect the earlier image. This issue has also resulted in me accidentally labeling the wrong image file multiple times and then trying to go back

I upgraded to Bridge 2023 yesterday. The icon for my Drobo 5D1 hard drive array shows up under "Computer", but there is no arrow next to it. I cannot open it. I'm not having this problem with USB connected drives. 

give faults and don't open 1 one time after update. for this update I had no problems at all. 

I open bridge and organize some photos, then I open one with an external photo viewer (imageglass) to cut a part of the image without needing to open photoshop because it is something simple, I finish in 4 seconds, the image is auto saved, it is reflected in bridge but... the image ends up returning to its previous state as if the file were locked, if I have imageglass open with that same photo it also returns to its previous state, just editing it with photoshop and saving it I get the expected result.It's very similar to the access problem of files not being removed at all or appearing to still be in bridge but being removed/moved from the folder. I remember that it was related to the node.js process that allowed the import/export of files between Adobe programs

Recently got a new M1 Max laptop, downloaded bridge and this has popped up since downloading it. Just wondered if there was anything I could do to fix this as bridge has been freezing and randomly shutting down ever since I got the new laptop. Thank you!

Hello,I recently learned how to remove sequence numbers since I needed to re-order files and therefore attache new numbers (e.g. 056-file.psd)However, after re-organizing the images, un-numbered them and then re-numbered them, I found that in Windows Explorer everything was srambled up, some numbers showed twice.I've got so far to realize that Explorer always works by file name and if i do the same in bridge files are also scrambled / not the way I ordered them. But in order to re-sequense them I had to re-order them first, which puts them automatically in "Manual" mode - which Explorer seem to NOT recognize - and keeps showing them scrambled.I hope I could make myself clear. What can I do other than re-name every file manually in Explorer/Filename mode?Every suggestion is highly appreciated

I recently discovered that my workflow in Bridge to create approval PDFs in Bridge via the Output tab is NOT converting my layered tiffs into jpgs, but merely flattening them and saving tiffs into enormous PDFs. I searched in the Output tab for the option to convert tiffs into jpgs but could not find it. Am I missing something? Does Adobe expect me to batch save thru the Photoshop image processor function to create a needless folder of jpgs, then run THAT folder thru the Output tab when all I want is for Bridge's Output tab to create approval PDFs (straight from my layered tiffs) that contains reasonalbly sized jpgs and not bloated tiffs? Who would want tiffs in a PDF?

Bridge Updated To Latest Version - Total garbage and the problems are far to extensive to even comment on. Do yourself a favour and uninstall this useless version. Adobe, shame on you for releasing such useless software and getting rich on the backs of us peasants who spend our lives trying to navigate through your screw ups.
