So I had to call Adobe tech help as when I try to open it, all I got was a spinning circle. Whether from my computer or the cloud, same thing. I really don't like to use it, as an earlier version allows 2 or more windows to be open, but won't run macro actions now. So after trying a bunch of things that were unsuccessful, he finally had me reinstall Bridge. The problem still occurred after one brief moment where it opened but then wouldn't again. Tried some other stuff and did a control-alt-shift and reset, losing all my preferences. So it was working for awhile and I did what I needed and next time I tried to use it, I had to reset again. It didn't help, and I went back to the earlier Bridge and got a lot of work done, adding data, making tiffs, rating, weeding out stuff etc. but then today, I wanted to copy some of the description data to the file name, as this is the way I always organize my files, by subject name followed by a unique number.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the last update to Bridge was in March 2023. Is this lack of updates normal?
Here is my original post: Bridge is not displaying thumbnails for Samsung S23 Ultra. This is happening on 2 different computers. Previous Post made in April
Is there any way to make Bridge display previews and, most importantly, actualy play BRAW files? One would think they've had enough time (a couple of years now) to sort this out...
How can I view in Bridge the focal length of the lens I used to take my picture ?I don't see it in picture properties...Thank you
Bridge not opening as of 6/19, I just get an error msg. When I click OK the program shuts down, no crash report.
Al buscar todas todas las fotos asociadas con una palabra clave, sólo se limita a una carpeta y no a toda la computadora, aunque tenga los check de buscar en subcarpetas. Esto está sucediendo con el Bridge 2023 y no sucedía con los anteriores.
I am running Bridge v13.0.3.693 on an Apple Mac Pro running OSX Ventura v13.4. When I add Keywords to a photo file in Bridge, I simply click in the Keywords Field, type the new keyword, type a semi-colon (;) and type the next Keyword, etc. Apparently, some of these new Keywords go into the primary Keyword section, but others go into the “Other Keyword” section. I did not realize this until noticing that many of my Keywords later show in a database program (NeoFinder) with the prefix “Other Keywords|”. Exactly how do I add new Keywords so they do not get added to the “Other Keywords” section? Thanks! Mark Weidman
Dearest Bridge Team,It is now June 5, 2023 and Bridge is still total GARBAGE. And so TOTALLY FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I can say is WHAT IN HOLY HEAVEN IS GOING ON HERE????????????????? After 20-ish years or however long Bridge has been available I'm feeling like I'm being forced to switch to LIGHTROOM because BRIDGE IS COMPLETELY USELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With the millions of dollars we are being forced to spend to access the Adobe Suite there is really NO ACCEPTABLE EXCUSE FOR THIS!!!!!!!!!!!Sincereyly yours in UTTER FRUSTRATION,KP
Dear community I moved all my photos and video archive from Lacie external HDD to a NAS. I'm now testing several library and functionalities. One of those are the collection I use in bridge. Of course when file is not found Bridge its suggest to "repair" but it requires for example 570 file to be found. There's no option of automatic finding the source file in the new server origin . Am I missing some feature to do so ? How can i assign new source to upstream general folder and let bridge finde the files into subfolders? Thanks for any advise.
bonjour, depuis quelque temps, quand je veux decharger mes images sur mon mac à l'aide de bridge, mon appareil phto est reconnu mais pas la carte memoire qui contient ces images; que dois faire pour resoudre ce probleme?
I recently accidentally sent all my files saved in a folder on my local desktop to the trash and emptied the trash can. Luckily, I ran a program to recover my lost files and found them all in the cache stored data of Adobe. Unfortunately, these files (both raw and jpeg format) were recovered only partially in the Adobe Cache system. I am all ears if there is any way to fully restore these images to the original format! The recovered files are currently being stored on an external hard drive for the time being. (Example of not full images attached with their correct file size - though these images are safely stored also on the external hardrive).
I have mapped network devices in favorites panel and if the mapped device is offline, bridge freezes on start.
MAC Big Sur 11.7.3Bridge 12.0.3.270Photosho 23.3.2CameraRaw 14.5Using Bridge to export a batch of 4000 PNG Images to have the same CameraRaw settings applied to all at once. However CameraRaw doesnt show anywhere in bridge, It works fine in Photoshop.Tried restarting CameRaw, Reinstalling it, andNot sure what else to do, How to enable it?Is this the best workflow to apply the same CameraRaw filter settings to a batch, or is there another way? Would this workflow export the images as PNGs?
batch changing files does not work(((((( What should I do?this tool always worked well, but stopped working since yesterday evening((((((
Frustrating lookng at image in Bridge, as the large previw images seem a bit out of focus, never look sharp even the sharp ones! Which I know are tack sharp. Anything one can do? thanks.
Mac OS 13.2 on a Mac Studio and Mac Mini 2020 with Bridge 2023 version 13.0.2.636 and PS 24.1.1 Hello,As per my subject line, every time I close the Bridge window on my Macs (Red dot, upper left side of the Bridge window), Bridge actually closes instead of just closing the window and staying open. That behaviour only affects Bridge not Photoshop. I have to restart Bridge every time to continue working. If I only minimize the window (orange dot), everything continues to work as intended.I have uninstalled/ re-installed Bridge several times but the behavior persists. Having used both on other machines (at work) without this behaviour, I believe I am missing a file/folder somewhere in my OS (possibly after cleaning my files with CleanMyMac X at some point).Any suggestion appreciated.ThanksT
MACOS 13.4Bridge V 13.0.3 Crash immediatly when I click on the smart collection button
Hello, trying to export images with all metadata removed and my own template added. I'm trying to remove camera shoot settings, EXIF. Doesn't work.I think I tried all the settings now. In 'include original metadata' I set it for 'copyright and contact info only' plus I add 'apply metadata template' to append my own. Other test: 'include original metadata' checked off, and 'apply template' I set it to 'replace' with my own. EXIF camera data still there. Did I overlook something or a bug?
With the release of Bridge 2023, my Utility Script Pack for Bridge will require some updates. Most of the scripts still work, although I have found some bugs in scripting support. Known issues: - Label Bar, Text Preview and Folder Info need cosmetic/layout updates but otherwise work ok - Window Sync is obsolete with the change from multiple windows to multiple panels. - PDF Export works but applying a metadata template is broken due to a Bridge bug that I cannot work around. I intend to do more testing and release an update later this year.
Windows 10 operating system.I delete a photo while in Bridge CC. It disappears from the Preview pane. It is gone when I check the folder with Windows explorer. But the thumbnail in the Content pane still shows the thumbnail. I have to shut Bridge down, then reopen it for it to refresh properly. Need a fix, please.
Bridge 2023 is a really slow, sluggish mess. Bridge 2022 does NOT have this same problem. Attached is a video of the issue (my screen recording doesn't relfect the spinning ball that happens after filtering, but one can see the delay in response). Toggling filtering on and off triggers the spinning ball, selecting images sometimes happens...doesn't happen. Maybe selects two images, then deselects them. I've reverted back to Bridge 2022, but this is unacceptable in the long term. Let me know what other info you need...this needs to be addressed. What is going on?!? Bridge seems to get *worse* with every release!
I just updated Bridge to version 13.0.2.636. It was totally unusable. It took such a long time generating thumbnails. I could not scroll through my images and Bridge just froze. Task manager showed CPU usage was a constant 100%.I am using Windows 10 and there is this setting to specifically instruct the OS to use the GPU for certain software. Then I remembered that I had previously specified Bridge to use the GPU. Somehow, after installing Bridge 2023, that setting did not get updated. It was still specifying Bridge 2022 which of course was overwritten by Bridge 2023. I set Bridge 2023 to use the GPU and it solved the problem. Thumbnail generation was very fast and I hardly had to wait for it to finish. So if you are using Windows 10 or 11, in case you are not aware, this is how you specify Bridge to use GPU (your graphics card, assuming you have one):Go to Settings -> System -> Display, scroll to bottom and click Graphics Settings. Click Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling to ON.
Hello, tagging with keywords in Bridge CC (preferred over Lightroom Classic), I often want to add one more keyword to several images in a row that already have various non-identical keywords. I want to add the new keyword(s) so that the existing keywords remain there and are not replaced, but added-to. I think LR has a specific field to type keywords into; they will be added to selected images, but existing keywords remain. Example: Image A: Existing keyword 1: beachExisting keyword 2: sunsetImage B: Existing keyword 1: streetExisting keyword 2: traffic lightBoth images should receive the new keyword icecream, while the existing, non-identical keywords remain in-image. But when I select both images in Bridge, open "File Info" (translating menu commands here from other language) and type the new keywords, the old keywords are lost. I believe only LR has the small box that accepts keywords as additions, not replacements. I found these ways to add – not replace – keywords to several selec
