Bridge

I do not wish to have Bridge continue making these files and am curious about how to disable them? I am the only one who uses Bridge in a pipeline and do not want to manually delete the file after every project

In Adobe Bridge in a folder with about 20 documents. AKA images. When I select more than two, Adobe Bridge is frozen beyond use. If I wait about a minute it does come back, but then when I try to drag any of the files to move them or try to do anything with the menus Frozen again.

Seriously, I need help! I cannot remember well but I tried to do arrangements where my downloads go to (it is stupid that I cannot choose where I import files using Airdrop). As a result, I have a Downloads folder which appears and works fine at the Finder level. However, Adobe Bridge 18.0 is not able to show that folder: In Bridge, there is a strange icon as if there were a file icon above a folder icon! Even though its name is Downloads and it contains files normally in Finder, Bridge doesn't show any files in that "hybrid icon" folder. Eventually, I deleted Bridge by the CleanMyMac app and downloaded and installed a new one. Before, I booted my MBP M2. No avail! The strange icon is still there in Bridge and its corresponding one is nicely in Finder, without any strange icons! What can I do to get Bridge working as supposed??? Tahoe 26.1, MBP M2, 32MB, 1TB.

Bridge keeps crashing when I click on Downloads in the Favorites window (it does briefly begin populating the files from the Downloads folder). I can right click on Downloads and Reveal Folder works fine, opens the Download folder window and can see/open my files. To see if other folders worked, I clicked on Documents in the Favorites window, opens fine, and I can open my files from here and does not crash. I thought maybe I needed to reconnect the Downloads in Favorites, so I Removed the Downloads folder from the Favorites window, then went to the Folders tab > Computer > Macintosh HD > Users > MeTheUser > Downloads > Add to Favorites. Went back to Favorites > Downloads and it still shuts down.I also opened the Downloads folder from the Folders tab, going the path in the previous paragraph - still, briefly populates Bridge with images, then Bridge crashes. And lastly, I added a folder that's inside the Downloads folder as a Favorite. Hello, I'm running 16.0.0.63. When I move a file in or out of a folder, the file path displayed at top changes. The path being shown is the most recent search I did in another Content Tab. To get the correct path displayed, I need to click on any image, preview it in full screen and after closing that, the displayed path is correct.This error existed also in the previous version of Bridge.

Good afternoon, first time around here, My preview panel not showing selected thumbnail, any ideas why?

I recently upgraded to Bridge 2026 on my Mac Book Pro M1 Max, but a bug of some kind is now seriously disrupting my workflow. I can apply my colour labels with no issue; but when I transfer my labelled images across to Lightroom Classic 2026 for final editing, Bridge then systematically deletes all of the labels from the images, leaving them all with no labels. It does not delete star ratings in the same way. The images I have attached show the original labels, followed by two images which document the real time removal of those labes by Bridge after the images have been transferred to Lightroom Classic. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Might there be an error in my settings I can adjust?  Or is this a bug that needs fixing.

Hi, When I try to renamle and move some XQD memory cards (240GB) to an SSD things get very slow (since a couple of versions of Bridge). Performance of the card reader and disc is fine outside Bridge. Tried every solution (clear caches regularly, do not generate yhumbnails for files greater than 1 mb,... ).  It take for ages before the dialog box pops up for calculating the time and when he finally has calculated the time, it take another age for the warning "are you sure you want to move the read only file". Once it starts the batch rename/move proced performace is acceptable. It has to do with the tasks before. Any suggestions ? I am not interested in the thumbnails, I just want to move the files to an SSD from memory card and do the processing in lightroom. Lightroom is suitable for renaming the files how I want...  

After updating to Photoshop 2026 it is not possible to open files straight into Photoshop. 

I work on Macs and use Adobe Bridge nearly every day for organzing large quantities of image files, I also use it in conjuction with dropbox, most of the folders I work in are hosted on Dropbox. For some reason, today a new bug appeared with Bridge.  Essentially if I drag a file from one folder into another, the file dissappears as if it's moved but it does not reappear in the target folder, it's as if the file dissapears into the void.  This is observable from the Mac Finder view, the file dissapears in Finder when moved via bridge.  However if the file is moved using finder, it transfer correctly.  This appears to be a Bridge problem.  The problem also occurs when I host the folders on my local hard drive rather than dropbox, so it doesn't appear to be dropbox related.  I originally experienced the issue while using Bidge 2025, but it's persisting even after upgrading to bridge 2026.  Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips?  Thank

Seit dem Update auf die Vers. Bridge 16.0.0.63 hängt sich das Programm fortwährend auf (keine Rückmeldung). Besonders krass ist die schlechte Performance bei der Stapelumbenennung von Dateien. Soll der neue Name eingegeben werden hängt sich das Programm entweder auf und wenn nicht, dauert es eine Ewigkeit bis überhaupt der neue Name eingegeben werden kann. Ist dies dann mal geschehen, benötigt die Umbenennung wiederum ewige Zeit. Für eine Datei allein fast eine Minute. Mit der letzten Vorgängerversion 15.xxx war dies keine Problem. Beide Versionen laufen (bzw. liefen) unter Windows 10 pro 64 bit.

When using photo downloader, all the images are not showing up. I need to "refresh list" in order for the correct number of files on the card to be downloaded. I recently updated Bridge, and now files no longer open in photosop with a double click.  I have to right click and use "open with".  All my file assosictions are  set correctly and photoshop is set as default to open files, so that is not the issue.   Bridge 2025 Version: 15.0.0.397 Mac OS: Sonoma 14.7 How do I fix this?    

Hi there! I have a ton of files in a folder that I would like to add on the prefix "Machine_".   For example: Old: 482_PartyBus New: "Machine_482_PartyBus"   I don't see a way of doing it in Bridge. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

I am seeing a little stop sign to the side of some images' labels . I would like to know what it is and how to remove it. I believe that it is preventing me from exporting the image to Lightroom for further editing. Thanks.

Hi,I wonder if anyone can help me. I want to know if you can view the metadata list in a logical order when you are trying to add metadata when using the Get Photos From Camera. My first photo attached shows my metadata in a logical order when you go through the Edit Metadata Template. But when I try and apply metadata through the Get Photos From Camera "Template to use" (my second photo attached), it loses it's logical order, then I have to scroll through to find the metadata template I want to use. Any way around this? Just trying to make my workflow more efficient. Thank you.Best regards Paul
