Bridge

I am new to bridge as i have lightroom and it is, and remains my primary app for photo management, however i was looking into what bridge could 'add' to the equation. Whilst in some areas the interface adds a great deal, the most annoying 'feature' is that it doesn't show items from subfolders by default and each time you move around the folder tree, it once again 'un-ticks' the 'show items from subfolders' option. my question is WHY?I have read a couple of posts that in general point to: 'speed of browsing and catalog management'. Well my question would be: If lightroom can cope with it, why can't bridge?whilst trying to avoid sarcasm, i'd need to remind adobe it is 2019, soon 2020. NOT 1982. Our processors are a little faster than an original 80286 processor and our hard drives are somewhat faster, especially using SSD drives. how can they build the functionality and performance into the lightroom classic catalog but can't do the same in a sister product? what significant d

Bridge 12.0.0.234 is consuming over 90% of the CPU - AGAIN.  This was sloved in previous versions of Bridge, but now it's back.  It consumes so much resource that the mouse is even laggy.  Opening a raw file in PS takes 20-30 seconds.  Slider movements are laggy - at best.  Sometimes they are completely ignored. Once again, you've made PS virutally unsuable.  Sigh...

I'm new to CC version of Bridge Previously, in software based Creative Suite version of Bridge, when the images were displayed in the "Essentials" layout, choosing an image and making alterations to it (using camera raw), those changes would remain (even after quitting Bridge).  The changed image would have a small icon above the top right corner of the postage stamp image. However, with my newly installed version of Bridge, when I make alterations to an image they only last while Bridge is open, and no "change icon" ever appears. Is there a pref I need to set to make image changes permanent?  Or, is this "feature" no longer available? Any help in resolving my issue would be much appreciated. Thanks!! Mac OS 12.4MacBook Pro 14Adobe Bridge 12.0.2.252Camera Raw 14.4.0.1121  

Eu trabalho com design e ilustrações. Tenho um banco de dados com mais de 50 mil imagens, com diversos tamanhos e extensões. Muitas vezes faço busca dentro desses arquivos. Sempre usei o Explorer do próprio Windows para fazer essa busca. Nunca precisei do Bridge. Faz algum tempo que os thumbnails do PS não aparecem mais no Explorer. Isso impossibilitou que eu fizesse essa busca, ou então trabalhasse com ele para procurar arquivos. Cheguei a instalar softwares third-party para apresentar os thumbnails. Mas ultimamente não tenho encontrado mais programas assim que fossem gratuitos ou então que funcionassem.Fui forçado, pela própria Adobe, a usar o Bridge. Justamente porque o Explorer não consegue mais mostrar thumbnails de PSD. Até aí tudo bem. O Bridge vem junto com minha assinatura. Acontece que o programa, para mim, é uma tragédia. Ele é lento, precisa sempre carregar TODOS os arquivos para que eu faça uma busca decente. Bonjour Tous,Je lance Bridge comme d'hab mais il ne s'ouvre qu'à moitié, c'est-à-dire que je ne peux plus explorer de dossier, et que je n'ai pas accès aux fonctions habituelles dans le menu horizontal. Comme s'il n'était pas lancé en fait. Dans "Forcer à quitter", il apparaît bien comme ouvert. Je l'ai désinstallé et réinstallé mais cela n'a rien changé. C'est la seule appli qui me pose problème. Heeeeelp !

I am simultaniously shooting Canon raw cr3 files and jpeg files with a Canon R5 and storing them on an external drive. Bridge will read both files; Classic Lightroom will import the Canon raw cr3 files but not the jpeg files. Why is this? 

I've tried downlaoding older version of Bridge and got it work after many attempts and opening with Command, Option, Shift resets  But when I have to restart my computer it wont launch after many attempts and I even tried the newest Bridge and scared to upgrade my Big Sur 11.3.1 (20E241) to newest Monterey 12.2.1 Does any one have issues with Adobe Creative Apps and Monterey?I really need bridge to work for me. Would appreciate it if any one can help...

Hello! We have a team of ten people and are struggling with image asset management. I am hoping we can use an Adobe product rather than paying for yet another cloud-based system. We've been trying to use Lightroom with shared albums buts very glitchy and we are constantly losing shared access. I think Bridge *could* be what we're looking for: a cloud-based library where we can upload all our assets, tag and categorize as needed, and most importantly, easily share, update and use as a team.Has anyone had success using Bridge in this way? We are using Adobe Teams and need all users to be able to access it. I'm struggling to find support articles from Adobe that explain how we can get this running (we would be syncing from Google Drive). Thank you!

Bridge has pretty good editing capability for IPTC fields, but I can't see any way to search the IPTC fields (such as City, Country, Sub Location?) Any thoughts on how to do this ? Thanks   

There just doesn't seem to be a good digital assets manager for video stuff for individuals. Some good expensive enterprise stuff, but everything seems to be falling short for individuals.  I've tried having libraries in premiere composer, and it's not bad, but it's slow to generate and a little cumbersome. Bridge seems to be the way to go. I have tons of overlays, etc. It's all so hard to actually get through and use because i have no idea what any of it looks like. Anyone using bridge for this kind of work? I have it sort of set up now but it seems slow as hell and really clunky and just not useful for this. If you do, what is your setup and workflow? All of my assets are on a pretty powerful NAS over gigabit hardwired to my tower. 

I have  been working with Bridge for many years now and thought it was a great app. But since I have a new Mac Mini with Monterey installed there seem to be several issues. The most serious of them is with Labels. I use the labels to keep track of my designs and scetches; which one is sold, still needs work, has another version etc. I have built a whole ystem around this feature.Now when I open Bridge the labels are gone ore mixed up. Designs suddenly have a 'sold' label when they are still unsold or vice versa or they have a label that has not been named yet. At first I thought I made some errors but now it is clear it is an error in Bridge.I am very disappointed in Adobe especially since I now pay a substantial monthly fee for these programs. The good old CS6 was far more reliable...Please help!

Hi everyone! Does anyone know if it is possible to preview multiple slides in Adobe Bridge for a .pptx file? I can currently preview the cover slide, but nothing more. Both .pdf and .indd I can preview all of the file. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Hello, I shoot in JPG + RAW then I sort my photos on Bridge.I sort JPGs because it's quicker to scroll and rate.I would like to be able to apply the same sorting to my Raw automatically.In situ: I finish sorting my JPGs, I move them into a folder. I still have the Raw to sort. I want to apply a selection match (by filename or whatever) that would save me from re-sorting the raws behind.Thank you very much, have a good evening.

I am using a Mac + Adobe bridge- latest version. 12.0.2I am going through multiple memory card from a photoshoot, the first two cards it let me rate. I switched cards and now it wont let me rate photos. This happens all the time. I have cleared the cache. I have updated the app. Deleted the app + reinstalled it.It's so frustrating and pretty much stops me from working until the program decides to magically work again.

I teach HS photography. I have the preferences set in photoshop to record detailed editing information in the metadata. I need to see that they have actually done certain things (and try to catch sharing of files--its kind of futile but I do catch it sometimes.)But sometimes I don't know what the terms mean. For example, 'Open False, true'. What does that mean? Is there someplace I can go to define all the terms? I know there are others.

Using 2 computers, one laptop during photo activities and a stationary at home for final editing.Both run windows 10 and Bridge, Camera Raw, Photoshop.During my photo sessions I regularly download files from my camera to a Samsung SSD 2TB.First classification and cleansing as well as pre-editing is done on the laptop with the files on the SSD.When home all files is mowed from the Samsung SSD to my privet network. Everything I've done on the laptop is available for me on the stationary computer, for instance stars, except the colour of the label. They have turned white ... Filter option "View only marked objects" will find them so clearly, they are labelled, it is just the information about what colour that’s missing. As I photograph birds in flight and shooting sequences at high speed, I get a lot of images many almost the same and many are just not good. Guten Tag,in der Bridge (v12.0.2.252) betrachte ich meine fertig entwickelten Bilder bei 100%. Dabei wir mir das Bild manchmal unscharf dargestellt. Ich muss dann mit den Pfeiltasten ein Bild vor und zurück gehen dann wird es wieder scharf angezeigt.Ich hoffe, ich bekomme da Unterstützung.Hier ein Beispiel:Scharf:Unscharf:

Seit letzer Woche bin ich von PS CS6 und LR6 auf Adobes Fotoabo umgestiegen, somit auch auf die aktuelle Bridge. Für einen Kunden muss ich die erstellten Bilder mit einer Artikelnummer und einer fortlaufenden Nummer umbenennen. Ein Satz besteht immer aus 4 Bildern. Die Rastergröße im Grundlagen-Modul ist so eingestellt, dass immer 4 Bilder eine Zeile bilden. Die Sortierung ist auf manuell eingestellt, da manchmal innerhalb einer Zeile die Bildreihenfolge vor der Umbenennung zu ändern ist. Die Einstellungen für die Stapel-Umbenennung sind so wie in der Bridge CS6. Ein Satz für die Stapelumbenennung besteht also immer aus 4 Bildern in einer Zeile. Das eigentlicheUmbennen des Stapels funktioniert auch nach wie vor. Das Problem ist, dass die neue Bridge nach jeder Stapelumbenennung einer 4er-Zeile wieder in die erste Zeile zurückspringt. So muss ich jedesmal wieder von der ersten Zeile in die als nächstes zu bearbeitende Zeile runterscrollen. Das hat die alte Bridge CS6 nicht gemacht,

Lorsque j enregistre un fichier psd,tiff ou jpeg a partir d une COLLECTION(  bridge) et retravaillé dans photoshop, j'aimerais que ce nouveau fichier s' ajoute automatiquement à cette collection sans devoir passer par le dossier d origine. Comment Faire?

I also have a problem with labels but a different one. When I have labelled my files and reopen Bridge again later the labels are gone. And the illustrator files have a Bitmap color mode. I have worked with Bridge CS6 for many years and thought it was a great programme but since I had to buy the 2021 version the problems started. And no one in this Adobe support community seems to know what the problem is...So you are not the only one I'm afraid.

Would love to see a preference for Bridge to allow accurate dimensions in inches/centimeters of files.AFAIK, Bridge has always rounded the image dimensions in inches. When working with multiple files it is sometimes critical to know exactly what the dimensions are to a hundreth of unit of measure. At this time the measurement is rounded to the nearest tenth and sometimes they seem to be off by more.
