Bridge

Hello, I use OneDrive File Stream to edit work files that are saved on SharePoint in other apps. One app I use is Bridge to rename and tag photos. Normally, when I rename and tag photos, those changes are saved in SharePoint automatically through OneDrive. However, my Bridge app recently just stopped syncing properly. I rename and tag photos, but nothing changes in One Drive. I also can no longer preview the photos in Bridge because they aren't syncing properly. I assume it could be a connectivity issue, but I don't know what it would be--my wifi works fine and all my accounts are logged in properly. Please let me know if you have any ideas of what I should do! Thanks.

I recently got a new machine and made the mistake of assuming my keywords panel was synced to preferences stored in Adobe Cloud. After doing some research it seemns that is not the case. Either that or my recent update to Bridge 2021 (v11.01.109) seems to have eliminated years-worth of my hierarchical keyword cataloging. My old machine was a work laptop and has since been wiped, so restoring the .xml file seems out of the question but I attached a screenshot of what's in my Adobe Bridge Application Support folders. Fortunatley, the keywords are still tagged in the metadata of each photo, so I'm hoping there might be a workaround. Maybe there's a way to export the data into a list that I can re-import to Bridge? I don't even know where to begin, this sucks.  Any and all suggestions would be welcome. Thanks everyone. 

HiIn Bridge 2020, NEF files from my Z6 have stopped showing as thumbnail images and only appear as icons. This happened yesterday (they were showing as thumbnails before that), no idea why.I can't update to Bridge 2021 as I'm running High Sierra (the most recent OS I can go to on my old MacbookPro - which works fine, so I've no reason to want to shell out for a newer model!) and as far as I'm aware Bridge 2021 requires OS 10.14 and above.Any suggestions?ThanksRudolf Abraham

I have two sets of images covering the same time period.  One slides and the other prints.  They were scanned by a service and I have thumbnail catalogs of each.  I would like to somehow designate the source of the image (slide or print).  I could put a code in the file name or perhaps in some metadata field.  It would nice to be able to search for them, which would mean metadata.  Does anyone have a suggestion?

Using Bridge 2021 on a Mac with BigSur 11.2.3:It runs fine with actual files, but when I want to add a keyword to an old pic (which got its keyword with Bridge CS4 odr CS6) I get the following message: While writing of metadata on file xxx an error occured.Reinstalling of Bridge didn't help. Hopefully somebody knows how to solve that.

I have a folder tree full of sorted pictures.  After I updated to Catalina, I also installed Bridge 10.  When I open the folders with Bridge, it turns the top folder invisible.  Not only that, the navigation goes all to hell, drag and drop stops working, and "move to" moves items to the wrong folders!  I have tried: Creating a new folder with a new name and putting the files in there.Deleting the invisible ".Bridgesort" files.Resetting Bridge.Reinstalling Bridge.Updating Bridge I can't recreate the problem without Bridge being involved, so it seems like this is Adobe's fault. Bridge will not stop turning my folder invisible.  What is going on here?   

Since a recent upgrade the file associations are a total shambles in Bridge. Two things are particularly bugging me today:1. I regularly need to open pdf files into Photoshop from Bridge, should be right click > open with> Photoshop. Not anymore, no photoshop in the list.2. Double clicked a .CR2 Canon raw file in Bridge and it opened in Windows Photo viewer, tried a DNG and it opened in "Snip & Sketch"?!?! Went to the file associations in Bridge prefs and camera raw not listed as an option.Since when did Bridge decide to boycott CC apps?William.

I just spent a half hour logging into Bridge on my PC desktop. Why should I have to log in to use the software I've been using for years without the need to log in? And why was the login process such a mess? I'm thoroughly disgusted, and in no mood to actually use Bridge now.

I can't label some of my JPEG files. The ones I can were made with encoder. The ones I cannot were TIFFs converted into JPEGs. Files are local Using latest version Bridge, Photoshop, and Catalina OS

My boss is asking me if Adobe Bridge or Lightroom can be used as a digital asset manager. Can it?

The latest version of bridge is consistently failing to return a large percentage of my libraries images. I really, really, really wish Adobe would stop trying to make it's applications better.  I think it's the best solution to stop them from getting worse, :).   

  Hello all, I am encountering a rather frustrating problem with batch renaming in Adobe Bridge. I'm currently doing 360 degree photographs and I need to use 72 images per item and they all need to be in logical order . For about 3 months when I batch rename all files in a folder in Adobe Bridge it seems to pick a photo at random and not re-name it.  Photos are attached before and after batch renamed for proof.    (Example Process)  selects all 72 images for batch renaming. Right clicks "batch rename" fills out prompts to rename. Then it goes through the process. Find  1-2 images unselected after process which were selected before.  Im sure this is a bug with the software... I've been keeping up on updates hoping it has been fixed but it's not. Any insight or help would be appreciated.  

We ran 2020, and after the update, we cannot see any items on our server. Items on our desktop are visible, but clicking on the server simply shows No Items. I've deleted Bridge and reinstalled. I've rebooted the Mac and the server. No luck.

As you can see from the picture, there are nine images in this folder.  Three are not labeled, two are labeled Approved, and four are labeled Select.  But the Labels filter on the left shows Select (3).  When I choose Select, I see only three of four images.  One of the four Select images seems not to be recognized. Why?

Nothing I do can fix this including going to preferences and resetting the file type associations. Once again spending my entire day troubleshooting something that worked yesterday. This is so aggravating!!! Need very detailed instructions. Take nothing for granted. Has totally destroyed my dat.

Recently I have been having issues with my color settings changing randomly in Adobe Illustrator. I tried changing and applying them universally in Bridge but they continue to revert back. I keep having to change the settings in Illustrator. Is there a solution to this problem?

Now I may have hit the wrong button by mistake, but now I have two problems with opening files from Bridge. I'm working on a PC with Windows 10 and have the latest updates with Photoshop/acr/Bridge CC.1. Bridge won't open jpeg files into Photoshop. A double click on the photo tells me there is no appropriate app. A right click on the jpg photo only gives me the possibility in the drop-down menu to open via ACR.2. A double click on a RAW file opens it in a completely different program! (Not Adobe), but with a right click, the drop down menu "open" sends the file to the other program, "open with" (öffen mit) only gives me the possibility of the 3rd party program. But I do havethe choice of "open with ACR".How can I reset Bridge so that double click on a jpg will give me PS and the drop down menu the option of "open with" then "photoshop", and a double click on RAW will open directly to ACR? I do have a third question which more annoying than anything. I use bridge for my lo-resolution proofs it allows me to arrange artworks on a oage and save as a PDF for approval.I use the Output tab for this. In the new version, when I reset the document the Export to PDF button greys out and can't be used. The only solution is to restart Bridge. This is not ideal at all when trying to get work done. Any fixes?

I am wondering if I can add captions to my photos in the Apple Photos app ahead of exporting them out of Photos.  I am planning to put them in folders on my Mac so I can work with them in Bridge and possibly eventually Lightroom.  This is a task I can do while sitting with my iPad in the evening.  But I want to be sure they will show up in the proper field (description if I understand it correctly).  Has anyone done this?

I updated to the latest version of Bridge today and I'm trying to add metadata (headline, description and keywords) to my video clips but when I click the checkmark and wait until it saves, I come back around to the same click and find the information gone.  Also when selecting multiple clips at once and applying the same metadata to them it saves even less. I had to add the data around 3 times for the first few clips in my queue for them to stick around. Any ideas why this might be happening? How can we speed up this process and not have to wait after clicking on the checkmark to save..

After updating PS, LR, CR and Bridge to the latest versions a few days ago, all file associations in Bridge were set to "None".I couldn't open any JPG, TIFF, PSD, DNG etc... from bridge by simply clicking on its thumbnail and "Open with" didn't work either as it wasn't showing PS as an option.I restored the associations for the most used file types manually but this really shouldn't happen after an update.Anyone else having the same issue?By the way, if you restored your file associations manually DON'T click the "Reset default" or all your associations will be reset to "None".Bob
