Hi, I have a problem when I place files into an InDesign file, when I drag them from Bridge it freezes up both Bridge and InDesign for a couple of seconds.Any solution to this? I use version 11.0
I just installed the new version of Bridge and it's gone backwards... again. A while ago I "me too(ed)" on a topic about the ability to change the background on a transparent PNG thumbnail to white whilst retaining the dark interface, which you used to be able to do, but got lost somehow. I got notified that the feature had been restored due to popular demand, so for the last few weeks, things were back to usable again. Now, the independent sliders for transparent backgrounds are gone again - the closest to white I can get is about a 20% grey, AND... completely random, some .ai previews have a page background and some don't - in the same folder?!Adobe 1 - My productivity 0
When i open bridge on my mac and start looking through files it freezes up on me and i have to force quit. when i try to reopen it just bounces and doesn't open. then it wont even let me force quit at all. ive tried everything. clearing cache and startup data and nothing. Is it possible to sort files by date added, specifically on a NAS? I see Created & Modified but many times my files retain their created or modified date, such as when they are opened from a zip file for example. Many times I'll add files that are too large to send over internet, so need to put them on an external drive for transport. Thanks!
All images in Bridge are shown with a five star rating preceded by a circle with a line through it (barring use). I can't find any setting anywhere to cancel it.
I have started using Bridge to download photos (this is the first reasonably satisfactory photo downloader I have found since the Windows XP downloader, which I have been using up to now). But it is very annoying to have to entirely redo the save options every time. I always do essentially the same thing, but it doesn't seem possible to change the defaults. People complained about this in the last version (apparently earlier versions allowed default changes), and it was thought this would be fixed in the next version, but it wasn't. And why won't it just let you automatically number the photos starting with the next number after the photos already in the folder? Whenever I save photos to a subfolder which already has photos in it I have to open the folder, find the last number used, and manually set the numbering to start at the next number, which is very annoying. For that matter, why do we have to deal with subfolders at all? Why can't we jus
This is more of a feature request than a question about how to, because I'm pretty sure I'm up against a limitation of Adobe Bridge within Windows. But if anyone has a workaround... At present it seems like it's not possible to set a file association within Bridge to point to a Windows UWP application (eg .mp4 to Windows Films & TV application). There is no way to set the Bridge preference by browsing to find the applications .exe file because the application does not have an .exe file.
Hello, i badly need a solution for this problem: Working with HDR Photography I usually end up with many exposure brackets of 7 raw-shots. After adjusting them in Lightroom 5.2, i want to open each exposure bracket as layers in Photoshop CS6 and save it as PSD. In Lightroom (or Bridge) there is the command "open as layers in photoshop." The big Problem is: Doing this bracket for bracket it takes years to process. And then i have to save every single File within photoshop, wich takes another eternity. Is there a script or plugin to automate this task? Something that processes Image stacks perhaps? Or something similar from Bridge? I ́ve found a bridge Script here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/42463... It supposed to do exactly what im looking for... But it don ́t work in Bridge CS6 😞 -kai
In my older version of Bridge I could rename / renumber all image files in a folder, open another folder to do the same and the starting number would be sequential. This is no longer the case with Bridge CC version 10.0.2.131. For some reason when I open the new folder and select all the "sequence number" has been increased by 4 or 6 or some other arbitrary number forcing me to go back to the previous folder to see what the highest number was then manually inserting the next sequential number in my new folder with images to be renamed. Does anyone have any idea why this would happen? Thanks, John / Airpix
I searched and searched through Bridge and found NO way to save a custom sort (manual) with a name (or a collection if you prefer). I created a manual custom sort in a folder and ran a PS action to reduce the size of each photo and put them into a new folder. When I opened the new folder the sort was alpha, not like the old folder. I now have to manually sort over 300 photos in new folder. Is there a way to do this and if not, can a script be written for it. I create slide shows and no of hundreds of examples of how I would use this. It is really labor intensive to put the photos in a special order and then have no way to save it for future use. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. If I have to pay someone to do this, I will. thanks.
Hello, I'm wondering if there is a way to share Bridge keywords across multiple users via a live document. Ideally, multiple users would be able to edit the live doc and then other users would be able to download it and import it. The goal would be to have multiple users using the same set of keywords at one time, without having to constantly export their keywords. For example, if Users A, B, C, and D are all adding keywords at the same time, they would add their respective keywords to the live document and then all download and import it periodically. It's my understanding that a text file using the tab key to create a hierachy should work, but I am having trouble setting this up via a live document. I have tried using Google docs. The keywords are tabbed correctly when I download the .txt file, but when I import into Bridge, the hierarchy is completely lost. Any advice or suggestions are welcome. Thank you.
ok i got a lot of Folders and i need to change the Metadata of all the pictures insinde them. its folder>folder>Images. can i change the data without open the first folder?
I spent about an hour creating keywords for Illinois. I made a parent folder, USA, and then sublocations, such as Chicago, and then sublocations in it. The Master Folder was Locations. Then I noticed there was already a default Places folder. I decided to move the USA, with all its subfolders to it. I knew it would cause some problems and I'd have to do some re-checking in the new location and deleting in the old location, but now it has become an impossible situation. If I check off one in under places and uncheck in Locations and delete that subplace, it also unchecks under USA, and if I check again, the sublocation comes back, and with all the parent folders. Its like something that won't die. They are like Elementary Particles, where affecting one affects the other. I changed an abbreviation in the subfolder to rename spelling it out and then I could delete the old one. I thought I would do the same with IL, replacing with Illin
I am seeing numerous problems with Batch Renaming of files - all seem to be hinged on the ability of Bridge to maintain the filename list correctly. The problems that I see manifest in multiple ways. I have a directory of images, some of which have the same base name but different extentions (eg. HEIC and jpg). In attempting to rename a sub-set of these images I will sometimes see only some of the files renamed and it stops short of the full list of files but the sequence number gets advanced anyway - so it can stop at image # 15 but the sequence number got advanced to 18...... so it sees the filecount but didn't process the file itself. Other times it will see two files which have the same basename but one is HEIC and the other is JPG - it then gives each of them the same basename with the same sequence number. I see other oddities as well but these two manifestations likely identify where the root problem lies - and this root problem is likely the cause of all of the problems that I
Yesterday, I just learned I could stack the hundreds of jpegs created accidentally when in video mode on the Nikon Z7, when shutter is pressed instead of the record button. I thought that was pretty neat I could play at various speeds. But then today I did my renumbering according to my system, using Bridge rename. I start off with the last number in my database for a camera, eg 3026352, and then renumber. But then I realized the stacked ones didn't so number. I opened and they had numbers with no relation to the first in the stack. In the whole day folder, they had numbers starting with 0, up to over 500. So I opened all the stacks and now sorting by number would be wrong if I wanted to keep the order, so I sorted by date. I thought that went well and thought it didn't matter if I did all the rest of the folders by date instead of filename. But then, after I did 10 more day folders, and started to move all to a single folder before going
Hello,I created a custom action in Photoshop (added a logo). I then selected some picutes in Bridge (V 11.0.0.83), then Tool -> Photoshop -> Batch. A window appeared asking me to "Install latest version of Photoship to continue". I logged in to my Adobe account but it says everything is up to date. Any idea what is the problem? My old Bridge/Photoshop work perfectly with this batch process. Thanks!Joseph
Hi everyone. I have Photoshop CS5 and the version of Bridge does not have the Preferences > Interface menu option to increase the size of the text. I'm very proficient in Bridge and use it constantly - but the tiny font for the keywords is driving me crazy - and my eyes are wearing out from trying to peer at the tiny font.Does anyone know which version of Bridge has the Interface option and can it be purchased as a separate program - and if so, will it then still work with Photoshop CS5? Thanks for any suggestions.Donna
I'm suddenly unable to rename my folders in Bridge (2021). It just plain won't let me do it. Anybody had this? The appearance of the folders has changed a bit - the filename now overlaps the folder itself.
I was trying this out and from 4 shots, got a 111meg file. I wanted to use on a website and made a jpeg, and it was only 177kb, when I wanted more like >500kb. I tried different different image sizes and saving qualities but it always came out 177kb. I read that it could be limited unless saved for web, but I don't see any Save for Web in CC.
I used to be able to select a set of image files (RAW or JPG) then use Auto-stack panorama/HDR in Bridge which would then allow me to produce a stitched panorama or process a set of exposure bracketed shots. Since the last update of Bridge this has been impossible because Bridge closes immediately and an error report is produced - This has been sent to Adobe but nothing has resulted from this.I'm using an Apple iMac with more than enough RAM Anyone else had this problem ?Anyone rectified this problem?
I just updated to Bridge 9.0 (using with PS 21.2.1). When I do a Save/Save-As with a JPEG file, it loses the star/label ratings. (Using Image Processor, does the same thing.) Any fix to this?
Before the update, Bridge would use certain defaults in terms of naming the files when I imported them from my SD card (I can't remember if I set these or it just remembed what I used previously). Now I have to set the filename type I use, my "creator" ID and folder name format every time I upload. What am I missing? (I use a Mac.)
If I select several keywords files with any of them are shown. I find it strange that there seems to be no option to choose all, as in logical AND (&&). Would've improved filtering a lot. I know it's possible in advanced search and smart collection but inconvenient to use frequently compared to clicking checkboxes.
In my case after updating Bridge went slower and with the new layout less operative. Not all the changes work for better.
