Bridge

Hi, I have Dr. Brown's Image Processor Pro installed in Bridge. I'm sure some of you know about this plug in.   I've been using it for months without any problems. However, it stops working and shows me a message like this.  Can anyone know why this is happening? By the way, I doubt just re-installing this plug in fix the issue. I feel it's more complicated. Thank you for your tip in advance 

I am using Bridge 10.1 on an iMac (running High Sierra). I had updated Camera Raw to the latest version and the following problem did not occur (see below). However I did not like the new CR interface and was told I could reinstall the previous version which I did and am now running. However, when I make adjustments in CR, they do not show up in the thumbnails in Bridge. If I click on those files to bring them back into CR, the previous adjustments do show up. Another problem is that the CR interface, when quit, does not go back to Bridge, but returns to PS so I have to go find Bridge again to see it.Any solultions? By the way; using PS version 21.2.1 and CR 12.2.1.417

Hi, This has been happening for quite a while now (probably about a year or two) and not just in the latest version of Bridge, I've always just thought it was my work computer but having to work from home due to Covid-19 I have realised it's not and it also happens on my home computer as well. This only happens when I am on the desktop tab, everywhere else it's OK. As you can see from the attached image, I occasionally get duplicated icons, it's usually either my external HDD or ownCloud - it can also end up being duplicated so I end up having over 100 items even though there is usually around 12 items on my desktop. I'm not sure if this has been reported before as I could only see posts relating to duplicating files. Any help in resolving this would be great or if you need to to provide more info, please let me know. Thanks Matt

The first issue I immediately became aware of with this latest update to Bridge is that the settings for the Photo Downloader do not "stick."Each time I download a set of images I have to go through all the checkboxes ticking and unticking as required.  Previously these settings were always remembered.Has anybody else noticed this or am I experiencing a personal glitch?

Can anyone tell me where the photoshop option has gone from the tools drop down.

So I'm trying to see the thumbnails that I used to view my photos in bridge so I can easily organize them into folders. But the problem is that they are not showing up, but they are showing under windows explorer. Is their a way to fix this. I posted a screenshot to show it. I'm really frustrated at this stage.I've a small folder with renders that I open in bridge, re-arrange the order manually, select all,batch rename with Text prefix + Sequential number - Three digits.Bridge is constantly re-organising the order from my selection (wrongly) and even screwing up and changing thumbnail previews from what they actually are. I've updated Bridge, reset preferences and purged cache on multiple occasions. I've tried turning sofware rendering on and off.Nothing works. Really annoyed over this simple operation screwing up all the time! Any advice before I go looking for alternative software? Thanks. MSI Intel core I732GB RamNvidia GTX 1070

I can view one or the other, but not both at the same time. Preview panel used to appear above the metadata panel, but now their tabs are side by side. I can't get the metadata panel or tab to move down.  

When using Bridge 2020, it frequently quits. I get an error message telling me that it "unexpectedly quit" (I guess I knew that) and I submit a crash report and click "Reopen". It reopens and I can work on a few photos and then it will do it again, and again....etc. The usual things like restarting haven't solved the problem. Bridge 2019 works perfectly - never crashes and if I double-click on an image, it will open it in PSCC 2020, so that solution is working for me, but I'd like to get Bridge 2020 to work. Has anyone had this problem, or have any suggestions? Thanks very much.

I need to remove the EFIX metadata from a few images that are large TIFFS in CMYK. I can't seem to export them with the proper metadata (IPTC only) in any Adobe program while deleting the camera EFIX metadata and maintaing the CMYK color space. Can I do this in Bridge or any other Adobe program?! Thanks!

I imported/exported my Keywords panel to my desktop. My supervisor is able to import/export my Keywords I created to her desktop. Problem is, why aren't the images I've attached to each of my Keywords showing up for her as well? Am I able to do this or does my supervisor need to access my account in order to get both my Keywords and images attached? 

Hi,since some days I have massive problems to convert a Nef-file. Starting from the newest Bridge to Photoshop.After loading the Nef it is not possible to use the sliders to the file, after using the first slider with very slow reaction, the others do not work and the programm doesn´t react.Sorry my english is a bit rudimentary

I can't remember how to get this script back in Bridge, after technician updated to solve some other problems and its gone again.  I spent many hours, adding descriptions, keywords, location and much other data to thousands of files, ready to extract for my database and find the custom metadata extractor is gone from Bridge again.

Hi,  I am hoping someone can help me with a problem I am having. Adobe Bridge (2020, 10.1, 10.0, 9.1) will not show thumbnails or previews of files on my mac using Catalina. To try and fix the problem I have:-clicked to view ‘thumbnails’-pressed View > Refresh-cleared and compacted my cache-uninstalled and reinstalled Bridge-installed older versions of the program-installed older versions of After Effects and Premier Pro-reset the maximum size to be 100x larger than any file I have-reset my settings (preferences, standard workspaces, and purged entire thumbnail cache) What can I do to view the thumbnails and previews of files that I am trying to work with? Thanks!

Does anybody know a way to create an Output PDF from Bridge that would include keywords along with filename and image? Is there a script or extension to do this?

Hi,since a couple of weeks (so it started before the latest update to Bridge 2020 and Camera RAW 12) I suddenly could't open image files in Camera RAW directly from Bridge. I would result in a crash of Bridge (and Camera RAW). And it happened both with small JPGs and with bigger RAW files. As I recall it didn't happen right after a previous update, as I only received Photoshop updates in the last 2 months, there were no updates for Camera RAW or Bridge.Now after the latest Adobe 2020 updates, that arrived this week first week of November, the problem still remains. I can only open Camera RAW in Photoshop, which doesn't cause issues, but I prefer opening it in Bridge.I doubt it's a hardware problem, as I have a Dell XPS 15 9570 with 20 GB RAM.   Any ideas for a solution?   {Thread renamed by moderator}

I use Adobe Bridge daily at work searching our servers for files, and all of a sudden I'm getting this error message when Bridge finds a file and I double click to open it... (see attached screenshot)   "The document "***" could not be opened. AIRobin cannot open files in the "Adobe Illustrator document" format."   This isn't only happening when trying to open AI files - it's happening when trying to open ANY file.

When selecting a videofile, all is normal. It plays back.But I can seem to get any WAV files to playback. MP3's it plays some only.And I can find no relation between the few ones that play and the most others that dont. All from same samplebank.In prefs I enabled both video and audio to playback in preview.Also I Audition I see no way to preview files from the Mediabrowser? Also no search??? (Off topic?)MTA, East1

My screens move without user interaction. I am working in one screen an another pops in front of it. I am using two monitors. Also I can be doing nothing and a bridge screen comes to the front and changes monitors.

• Running Catalina 10.15.6 and using the most current version of Bridge.• I can't create folders in or delete images from external hard drives.• I've reset preferences after shutting Bridge down, then re-opening using shift+option+command.• I've gone to System Preferences > Security & Privacty, then clicked Full Disk Access and enabled Bridge in the dialogue box.• I've right-clicked on the external drive icon, clicked "Get Info" scrolled down to "Sharing & Permissions" and clicked "Staff" and "Everyone" and attempted to change permissions to "Read & Write." When I do, I get an error message saying "The operation can't be completed because you don't have the necessary permissions." What am I missing?

I store my RAW images in an IMPORT folder that contains subfolders.Is it possible to set Bridge to display this IMPORT folder when started?I have a 4TB drive with lots of folders that I have to scroll through to find my IMPORT folder and would rather just have Bridge look to this folder when I start the program

What exactly does "Purge Cache" mean? In “Bridge>Tools>Cache” You have a choice “Purge cache for folder “XX”.That makes sense, the thumbnails for the chosen folder are recreated. In Preferences>Cache Management it says:Purge cache | Previously cached items that are no longer available may be removed from the cache| Purge All Local Cache Files . That explanation seems to be very misleading, and being more about compacting the cache.More accurate seems to be: Purge cache |Warning:  All cached thumbnails on your system are deleted and recreated next time Bridge starts| Purge All Local Cache Files . Is it a reasonable Request to have that text changed? And also with a better specification of which ‘All’ cache files that are affected:Which cachefiles are affected by “Purge All Local Cache Files”?Probably all .bridgeCacheT files in folders are deleted and reconstructed.But what about the .bridgeSharedCache folders?And other Cache locations in Appda

Does anyone else find that Bridge often freezes/crashes and causes other Adobe apps to crash?Also, often it runs at over 200% of CPU % in my Activity Monitor.Bridge : 10.10.163OS: iMac 10.14.6 OS, 24gig RAM, i7 4GHZ Intel processor 

Hello! Have an issue where I create InDesign snippets and save into a folder inside an Amazon Workspace. Inside Bridge (Bridge CC 2017 is the version doled out in this environment), I see a thumbnail of the snippet. However, another user inside the same Workspace can see the InDesign default file thumbnail, but not a preview thumbnail of the snippet.  We have tried purging the cache, refreshing, and other tips in other forums. The sizes of these files are remarkably low -- 100kb would be a stretch for most of the files we're working with.  I've attached a screen grab of my preferences, which match the other user's preferences who can't see the preview of the snippet. Any expertise would be much appreciated!
