Bridge

Bridge does seem to have some simple ways of modify and entering IPTC data on a photo. Regretably, such changes seem to confuse Lightroom Classic. Error messages start appearing in LR of "conflict detected" which when one tries to correct in LR, leads to changes in settings. One of my complaints about the family of Photo Editing tools is its lack of common user interface AND lack of communication between products. A change in meda data using Bridge should not cause a problem in LR or PS or anywhere else. We are all one big happy family here..... or maybe not. If I change some meta data in Bridge, I expect it to changed in LR. Afterall, the meta data is part of the photo, not of some magic Adobe catalogue. And don't tell me to Synchronize the folder. The confusing on PS part remains (and perhaps gets worse). Rather than call this a family, it really should be called a "hodgepodge" if there is such a word. 

I'm using Bridge 10.1, however, this has happened prior to this lastest update. When I view images in Bridge, I get a white solid block of line above my document name. I can only get rid of it, if I change the label to "No Label". Is there anyway that I can hide that field entirely? Like some sort of checkbox that I can just uncheck? Thank you.

What has happened to one of the fundamental functions of bridge? Star rating has now become unusable. Ive re installed. Ive followwed every thread i can find. purged caches. reset workspaces. Still its unusable? How could you mess this function up so badly. I ve seen hundreds of threads complaining. What can i do? Any suggestions?

Can I take pictures with my iphone, upload them to Adobe Bridge, add verbage to the pictures and them upload them to Etsy.Thank you in advanced for any help you can offer.

I am trying to install the Output Module for Bridge on my Mac. I have followed the directions (numerous times), the very last step, “click Go at the “Go to the Folder” I get an error that says “The Folder Can’t Be Found”. I tried installing through Chrome and Safari but always the same. I am waiting for Adobe Support online chat, but its taking a really long time so thought I would try the community.Thank you for any help,LAPB

Hello, I store all my creative assets on an external hard drive, synced to OneDrive When I create a collection in Bridge the pictures not all the pictures I have stored on the external hard drive are showing up. Update: The pictures do show up in my collections when I browse to the folder containing the pictures within Bridge. How do I sync all my pictures in Bridge without having to manually visit every folder? Mike

In The latest adobe Bridge update the program doesn't run and I don't know why that happens. I already tried to uninstall and reinstall the program but it remains the same. I need help urgently please

In past version of Bridge, the crop tool would retain the last used crop ratio. With the latest version, it is necessary to set for each new image. Please restore the feature where crop ratio starts with the last used ratio. Alternatively provide a way to set the default crop ratio in preferences. For example, I like to use a 5 x 7 crop ratio on most all of my photos, however, Bridge always starts with a 2 x 3 ratio and I have to change the setting every new image.

HI everyone,Firstly, please excuse.  I'm still using Photoshop 6 suite, so my questions concern Bridge CS6. Anyone still using this? I am trying to open images in Camera Raw through Bridge, as I'm learing the tutorials now. However, when I try to open the images, even from the set of Lynda.com tutorials, it gives me this message: "Camera Raw editing is not enabled. ....requires that a qualifing product has been launched at least once to enable this feature".SO I am using PS6, In Design6,. I also imported a raw image into Bridge directly, hoping that it would qualify and make it work. It did open that image in Camera Raw, but that's all. How can I get this to work? I do not understand what is wrong? It works on my bigger laptop but not on the new 13" I bought for travel and image processing while I travel. I have tried a few fix-its posted online but they do not work. Thank you so much for your time.CD

Bridge 2018 used to have a button for saving images in camera raw on the bottom left hand corner. Does Bridge 2020 have this function?

Very strange.  Jpgs, when exported to Bridge from ACR show as a gray screen.  Yes, the photos are still there, and I can reopen them in Camera Raw.  I can even see them clearly in Explorer.  Here's a print screen of Bridge from today.....You can see the missing images, that are not really missing, they are just blanked out.Also, and this may be the same problem (?) but when I save a photo as a .jpg, I often have to add the jpg after the dot.  I hope that makes sense. I'm using CC 2020 and it's updated.  Windows 10 version 2004, also updated.  Computer is a Dell XPS 8700 with an i7 processor and 24gb of RAM. If you're super busy, take your time with this, as I can use everything.  Just can't see everything. Thanks,Bruce B

Suddenly any photos I add to Lightroom or Bridge, an preset is added on top and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove it. I even tried deleting the preset but it didn't fix anything. The preset still gets added to all photos I import, and when I try "resetting" a photo in Lightroom, it resets with the preset. UGH. I don't wtf I clicked today, but I cannot make this go away and its driving me crazy. THanks!!

Hi, I own a Sony RX10M4, which builds ARW raw files, and the latest version of Bridge. Does anybody know if it is possible to generate the thumbs on Bridge? Because it isn't working for me. Am I doing something wrong or Bridge doesn't support these type of previews? I can work with the file in Camera Raw, but it is very annoying not to have the chance of preview before openning it. Thanks in advance to everybody who could help me with this.   

Problem here: I hate the new ACR version so I got back to 12.1. But I updated Bridge to the newest version. I can`t see thumbnails of my raw images now in Bridge now. I want to downgrade Bridge also to the older version. Is there a download link available ? Thx

I'm working on an InDesign script that is renaming unique links and updating those links, and also identifying links that are used in multiple locations in the book. For unique links, the script handles the renaming based on page, position, etc., but for the common images, I need to provide a User Interface where the user could view a thumbnail of all the images and choose new names for them. I thought about using InDesign's ScriptUI, but I can't pass certain types of images (.ai, .psd) to ScriptUIImages. I haven't done any scripting in Bridge, but what I need sounds like a Bridge function. Does anyone have any pointers on: 1) How to pass the link references back to Bridge to open thumbnail previews of all the repeated images at once; and 2) Provide a way to rename those files individually then pass them back to the ID script. I am collecting the link filepaths, names, etc. as I go. Thanks in advance. 

Hi there,I'm taking all my photos in CR2 format, and later I rename them with title, dash, flowed by a Sequence Number.The CR2 and it's JPG preview are getting (as should) the same Sequence Number.  So when I'm selecting 10 files (wich is acutlly 20 when including the JPG) It will be numbered from 01-10.Later, when selecting another 10 files, the next Sequence Number will start at 11 as it knows to count the JPG file. But not now. Now it treats the 20 photos as 20 photos and instead the next seqence will start at 11, it starts at 21. The inconvinient solution is to selcted only the CR2 files without the JPG.Only then it will work properly but it didn't use to work like that. It used to not take into account the JPG that belongs to the CR2. This is causing me to do another step before batch rename with Sequence Number whic is to sort my files by type so the JPG files will not get into counting.  I was wondering about this change, ho

HelloAs above, having problems downloading my 1dx III .crm video files onto my MBP. I'm connected directly to the camera via USB. Photo Downloader says "This device does not contain any supported media". All up to date on bridge, photoshop, camera raw, premier pro.Any ideas please?

I'm opening the newest (as of July 2020) version of Bridge. For ever now, I have shot RAW, uploaded to external drive then opened all in Bridge. From there, typically I select all, ad watermark and shoot details then click the aperture where it opns another set of parameters for files to clean up. There used to be the allmighty and handy save as button in lower right corner but it isn't there. Please help the newest old guy nd clue me in as how to save as (I just add another folder and drop new jpeg conversions in there) Thank you in advance. 🙂

Why in Bridge, when you wish to search the contents of a folder, does it offer you the choice of "Spotlight Search..." or "Bridge Search..."If the app is working correctly, then shouldn't those searches be identical?

Hi. I shoot in Canon CR2 Raw format and do most initial sorting and processing in Bridge. However when I import using Photo Download and convert to DNG the image files do not have embedded fast-load data. The only camera raw preference settings in Bridge are for Sidecar or Camera Raw Database and in Photo Downloader the DNG conversion settings do not effect the XMP data and nothing in those settings gives me embedded fast-load data. I can obviously use the seperate DNG converter app or image processor function in Photoshop but it seems strange I can't do this via Photo Downloader, which is already converting to DNG. Can anyone tell me if there is some setting I've missed or some way to acheive this? And if not do you think this feature would be possible? Regards

Just started using Bridge after the 12.3 update. When I opened a file it displayed a scrambled version of it.  I can't get rid of it.  I had this problem with my first Bridge a few years ago but I was able to to find a way to display the file I wanted to edit. I can't seem to do that with this one. 

Is there a way in Bridge to view thumbnails of all images on all drives please?   I am looking for an image from a long way back, I don't know its filename or even its filetype. In short, it could be anywhere in four partitions and an external drive.   This is a new product to me.  

When I start Bridge, it opens for a second, then closes.I've uninstalled and re-installed it but the problem persists.Anyone knows what's going on?Using Windows 10 on Dell XPS15 9530

Hello. I use Bridge to edit my RAW files. I usually right click on the thumbnail and select Open in Camera Raw. I can still do that but now the image opens in the newer Camera Raw which I find a bit difficult to navigate compared to the previous version. Is it possible to roll back to the previous version of Camera Raw or am I stuck with the most recent version? Thanks, I hope I explained this clearly enough.
