Bridge

Since getting a new mbp16, bridge has become almost impossible to use efficiently. Even trying to resize a window results in a spinning beach ball. There's even a delay in selecting an image.Any ideas?I've tried switching off the GPU, but that makes no difference.If someone could outline an ideal performance setting I could try that.I'm on 10.15.3, 2.4Ghz 8 core Intel Core i9, 32 Gb ram, AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8Gb, Intel 630 1536MbBridge Version 10.0.3.138Used with ACR almost exclusively for .NEF files

Two Raw files show in Bridge but double-clicking doesn't open them in Photoshop. (Other files from same camera work fine.)Files can be opened from Photoshop with no problem, but not from Bridge.Any ideas?Thanks.--HCMac OS 10.13.6, Bridge 10.0.3.138, PS 21.1.1

Mac OS 10.15.4.  Adobe Bridge CC 10.0.3.138.  So frustrating to simply be able to highlight 10-15 images and delete them.  Now I get an error message and have to repeat accepting the error messag 10-15 times just to remove images.  "An error has occurred during the delete operation.  Some files may not have been processed."And indeed I do find that after deleting some files if I later come back to that folder some of the files are back too.  What has happened?

Hello My batch rename in Bridge started dropping the file suffix to the end of the file names even though in the preview at the bottom of the Batch Rename shows that it will be included. So I'm having to now add it into the naming protocol as text. So, I now need to add a line to the "new filenames" area of that window .jpg, .tif or .psd.In the attached photo at the bottom where it shows you the preview the new file name is showing the .jpg but once I actually process these files, that .jpg won't be there and my thumbnails disappear because bridge doesn't know what they are anymore. What's going on here?

Hello When tryining to open a photo in Bridge with Camera Raw I receive the following message "The Camera Raw setting coould not be applied because there were no Camera Raw files selected or selected files were read-only. When I open Photoshop, I CAN open the same files in Camera Raw but not in Bridge.  Also the same files can be opend in Lightroom.  I use the latest version of Adobe CC. The files are stored on external hard drive formatted to use on bothe Apple and MS. Any solutions please, Regards, CS

New Microsoft Office documents show only icons rather than thumbnails. Older dcouments show thumbnails and willl preview, but if altered and resaved show just the icon. All other files show as normal. I've tried the purging the cache and resetting on Bridge startup using Ctrl | Alt | Shift. Any help appreciated.  Bridge is version 10.0.2.131, Word is Word for Office 365 MS) (16.0.1 etc), running Windows 10.

Howdy, hope someone can help. I just had Bridge build the cache for my external hard drive. 1. Bridge seems to have created three duplicate folders (three different folders with duplicated subfolders and images) for all the data. Why? And can I just delete two of the duplicates using Windows Explorer or do I need to do something within Bridge? And does it matter which two I delete?2. Even though I specified the primary folder that stores my images, Bridge seems to have cached/created jpgs of all files, including non-photo files. It created jpgs of pdfs, MS Word and Excel files, and everything in my iTunes library. Why? Thanks.

As my understanding, the ratings, labels and collections are associated with Adobe Bridge only, which means they are not going to affect on Finder. So I am wondering, how can I migrate the data from one Mac to another? Thinking about, if I need to edit, review, open the same files from an external drive at both office computer and home computer. Thank you.

On Windows 10 PC with Bridge 10.0.3.138 freshly downloaded and installed, not using previous settings. I cannot rotate a photo, not with short cuts nor with  quick key nor with Edit/Rotate 180 (or 90 either way). Photos are .jpgs. Any suggestions? I've tried clearing cache. I uninstalled/reinstalled. Nothing has made a difference UPDATE: Took a week to get back to this project. Now rotate works. Not sure what changed in the meanwhile... 

I have been using Bridge since time began for sorting, rating and filing photos from my dropbox account.But lately Bride has been causing havoc with my system.After using the program for a while my Macbook starts overheating and when I check my Activity Monitor the CPU usage is very high. When I checked this evening it was 380.9%, and its been higher in the past.Why would this start happening now.No other programs cause these problems on my laptop.Hope that someone can give me information.Thank you

Yesterday I was going to add my watermark to an image and as I dragged it across something happened to my bridge screen. I've lost the info under an image like DFH 3505 jpg and on the right hand of the screen was another window that would open the picture that I clicked onto give me the info of the date, authors name, date modified,aspect ratio and so on. Does anyone have any ideas?

I found an article online talking about this, where it says: Intermediate Filename replaces a string that is defined by preceding options in the New Filenames pop-up menus. Lately, whenever I launch Bridge, Creative Cloud Desktop opens and  looks for file in some phantom USB drive. I can get out of it but this is a workflow killer. What the Heck is going on?

I can't find any way to filter images by image dimensions. Is this feature missing or is something wrong in my setup?

I have a very powerful updated Windows 10 desktop computer. Working great for years, however, the recent versions of Bridge and all the apps are super slow in saving and openning files. This sounds crazy even to me. About 2 weeks ago I took my Mac Pro home to start working remotely.  Since then Bridge has been crashing repeatedly, lagging for many long minutes, I can't use it.  I can't get it to work. I have the latest updates from the Creative Cloud in all my Adobe apps.macOS Catalina 10.15.4 I have tried "purging the cache" and "disabling startup scripts" as recommended here.  https://helpx.adobe.com/mt/bridge/kb/troubleshoot-errors-freezes-bridge.htmlThis took me hours to do instead of a minute, due to the continuous lagging and crashing. My colleague has the same issue.  Can anyone help please, as I don't have a lot of technical knowledge.TIA

I seem to have lost my list of folders and subfolders on the LEFT side (not the main "Content" area) of Bridge.  Now, instead of being able to scroll through my subfolders on the left (and then open one of those up to reveal a subfolder's photos in the Content area), I only have thumbnails of my FOLDERS in the Content area and have to open each one up to find a subfolder.  Does anyone know how to reset the original format?  Thanks.

Surely allowing users to view font files within Bridge that are saved on their hard drives will not result in the world ending suddenly.. Will it?I realise that we have a handy resource available in Adobe Fonts, but it is a very limited resource and with the world's designers also using the same resource things quickly begin fitting into a predictable mould. Being a designer for over twenty years I have an exstensive font library and whilst I'm not an idiot, I dont expect to be able to control the usage and activation of these fonts which could possibly threaten Adobe's Font service, it would be nice to be simply able to view them in Bridge as I would any other type of file. Yet it seems that the decision made by Adobe was to take a course of action in the development of their product to specifically restrict its ability to view font related files that people may have saved on their computers.Surely Adobe has a big enough slice of the pie without having to control our usage of our own

Adobe Bridge - Photo Downloader will not apply metadata from the selected metadata template when I import Sony ARW files.  Metadata is applied as expected when importing from my Canon cameras. Regards,TonyQ

G'Day. I have been having all kinds of poor performance issues in all of my Adobe products of late (I use Bridge, Illustrator and Photoshop, CC 2020, all current updates as of Apr 1, 2020). I have traced the issues back to Bridge. When it's not running, everything works fine. To troubleshoot, I started Activity Monitor and that for a period while watching Bridge. Bridge was taking as much as 400% of my CPU resources, and not infrequently. I read the help articles on how to improve Bridge performance, cleared the local cache and optimized the cache. I then restarted Bridge, selected the folders I normally use and let the cache rebuild completely. Then I took the focus off Bridge and simply monitored the Activity Monitor without touching Bridge or any of the files that fell within the folders I had built the cache with. What I found was the CPU% for Bridge went up and down like a yo-yo constantly, rising frequently to 100% and greater, then dropping off to somewhere near 0.5 to 2%, and r

Having a problem in Bridge. When I click on a thumbnail it changes to a blue block with Ps/PSD in it.how do I get it to change back to the thumbnail image? I can't get a screen shot attached. Thank You

In Bridge 2019 and previous I was able to drag the recent InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop folders to the Favorites panel and used those folders often to access frequently used files. The new 2020 version does not allow you to drag the folders to the Favorits Panel. Therefore, I am not using Adobe Bridge 2020. This is obviously an oversight and I would suggest the problem be looked at and fixed.
