I want to use Bridge and Camera Raw to batch edit some Canon .cr2 files. My camera, Canon EOS 77D, is supported but requires version 9.10 and I have only 9.1.1. I have checked for updates and it says: "your applications are all up-to-date". How can I get the version I need?I'm running CS6 on an iMac OSX Sierra.
When I double click an icon in Bridge it still opens PS 2019. How do I get it to open in PS 2020?
Hello - I'm new to Bridge, but I searched high and low and can't find an answer.I deleted some photos in Bridge, however they are now appearing as white thumbnails in my Finder windows (Mac). I can't delete them or sent them as they 'no longer exist' (error code 43), but they are still there taking up space. What do I do? I deleted several hundred images believing they would be deleted from my drive, however they are still there. What a mess I now have.Any help is appreciated.
I'm using Bridge 2018 with files stored on my network because tech support has told me there's a bug in the current version for network connections.However, every time I launch Bridge, it generates previews. I have the preference "Automatically Export Cache to Folders When Possible" checked. Do I have the wrong settings?Thanks.Jim
I have a folder Chevron that contains two (2) images. When I opened Bridge I noticed that it used a lot of CPU (up to 20-30%) on this folder (no other programs on): After some 20 minutes I closed Bridge and opened it again. The work with Chevron started again, but now with No response from Chevron: I rebooted my PC and opened Bridge again. Bridge started working on Chevron again. My processor is a 4x3.0GHz xeon. So 30% is a lot of processor power.My problem is that Bridge overall uses a lot of CPU… Could go up to 100%. The situation that triggered this was that I had an instance of Bridge open with that folder Chevron open. The only action on this Bridge was that I dragged and dropped images to other folders than Chevron. Next day when opening Bridge it has dropped Chevron but had an ongoing Bridge process: Any ideas why this happen?
I am viewing some WAV files in Bridge 2019. I selectes all four so I could apply a meta data template and got a message stating that the template could not be applied to all of the files becaus a thumbnail might be generating. I found the file, tried to apply the same template to just hat file but it was greyed out. What should I do?
I need to convert about 40 RAW files to JPEG. I'm sure there's a way to do it but can't seem to find an option. Can anyone help please?Thanks
Hi all. I’ve just started to analyze if Bridge is the solution for my workflow but even if I've read hundreds of posts I didn't find the answer yet.i would love to tag Pictures and Videos and in all the scenarios using XMP Sidecars. I've tried to tag some Videoclips and the metadata are stored in the file itself. How can I force Bridge to create a sidecar XMP file anytime I tag a photo or a videoclip? And of course keep that XMP file updated trough my tagging process? Thanks!

I need to generate a list of all the file names (psd) in my cloud library. I need the list from the cloud as I do not have the entire file set on my local disk.In windows it is possible to enumerate a folder for all files, a similiar feaure would be neat. I tried the 'Utility Pack List' package, but as far as I can see (or found out) - it only lists the local files.I am using PS, AI and the Bridge on both OSX and Win 7.I am considering using the SDK, but have not yet reached this step. Any hints apprciated 🙂 I prefer to make a script, so I can extract the psd properties/attributes as well Thanks Michael
Hello, I have just updated to Bridge 2020 and the script I developed blocks the launch of Bridge. I have to wait about 1 minute before I get an error message saying that a script took longer than 10 seconds and blocked the launch. It is a script that is automatically launched at startup. I don't have any problem when I launch the script manually afterwards. Do you have any idea why my script doesn't launch at startup? I tried with a simple Hello World and the problem is still there. It is not related to the content of the script, but to the launch of the script. I looked at the file permissions and everyone can read and execute it. It's really related to the migration to the new version, because it worked very well before, even on Catalina. My information :Bridge: 10.0.1.126MacOS: 10.15.2 Thanks a lotNicolas
When a thumbnail is displayed it at first shows a blurry (progressiv) jpg version with a black frame.Seconds later it shows the full resolution jpg (the image to the left).For me sometimes Bridge stick on the blurred version for some images.Closing and opening that folder does not change it.(As it is now I have to open the CR2 image in CameraRaw in order to see details). Is there any way to force Bridge to display the full resolution picture (with no frame)?
This is an intermittent issue. When attempting to move some files to a different folder, I get an error message that says for example “Cannot move “C:\Users\mspir\Pictures\Resources\Surfaces and TextureX.jpg”. Sometimes it also says the files no longer exist. But they do exist, right where they were, and they show up in the original folder in both Bridge and File Explorer. I can move them using File Explorer but I can only move them with Bridge if I rename the file first. I am using Bridge version 10.0.1.126 in Windows 10 64bit {Thread title edited by moderator}
I am not sure how to even phrase this, so I'll give a very basic description. I have an external Thunderbolt drive using direct connection to my MacPro 2013 running the current Catalina version, it is about half full. I am using the most most current Bridge 2020 version 10.0.1.126, I select the drive, then select the View/Show Items from Subfolders from the dropdown, walk away to give it time to go through everything, keep hidden files hidden, hide folders since I only want to see the files, but it stops around 4500 files totals and only about 400 of those are NEF, everything else is TIFF & JPG. This is impossible. I have single folders with 400 NEF files. My goal is to see all of my image files to find duplicates, find files in the wrong places, and do some archiving, general cleanup, or whatever I need to do. But, I need to be able to see everything. Is this even possible in Bridge? Thank you!
When I double-click on a .CR2 file in Bridge, it fires up Photoshop CC2019 and Camera Raw 14.4.1. I can then open the image in CC2019 when I'm done adjusting in CR. However, if I right-click on the image in Bridge, and select Open in Camera Raw from the menu, whenm I click Open Image in CR, it opens the file in Photoshop CC2018. All the settings in the prefrences point to CC2019, so why does the right-click method make it open in CC2018? This is with Windows 10.
What does Bridge mean by import and export? What is the relationship between a Folder’s Cache (.bridgeCacheT) and the central Cache in (PC) administrator’s Appdata\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge\Cache\v36 ? (Central Cache)? If you do NOT choose “Tools>Build and Export cache for folder ‘xx’”are the cache files for that folder still being built in the Central Cache in Appdata? Does “Tools/Manage cache>Import Cache” mean that cache files are fetched from the CentralCache to the FoldersCache? How does Bridge know which cache files to fetch from the Central Cache? Is it looking for file names, folder files? How does Bridge know that there is something to import from Central Cache. I can see the advantage of having the cache files in the folder (.bridgeCacheT) because this cache can accompany the folder when copied or moved.Is that the only reason to have a Folder’s Cache (.bridgeCacheT)? I have got .bridgeSharedCache folders in some image folders (even if I h
I remember I have accidentally not granted access to access my Documents folder when I first launched Bridge. I would like to grant access--how do I give permission to Bridge to be able to access the folder?
I am running Adobe Bridge 7.0.0.93 on a iMac running 10.12.5. "Get Photos From Camera" does not "Delete Original Photos" despite the setting and the "Your files have been successfully deleted" confirmation message. The bug exists for both my iPhone running IOS 10.3.2 and my Nikon camera. The Nikon Transfer application does not have this bug: photos for both my Nikon camera and iPhone are successfully deleted after transfer.I would like to report this a a bug, but can no longer find where to do so.Do other folks have this problem with Bridge? Do other folks know where to report bugs to Adobe?Thanks.
In the Bridge help, under“Work with Bridge shared cache”,”Why and when do I need a shared cache” it says: “It’s recommended that you do not use the shared cache feature if you are a sole user.” HOW do you choose to use the shared cache or not?
Hi there,who can help me?. I use Bridge's photo downloader to import the photos from the camera. In the Photo Downloader, the pictures are displayed in descending order by date and in ascending order by time. Now the photos should be renamed with a serial number during the import. The oldest photo is said to be number 1. The most recent photo should get the highest number. I can't do that because the images are renamed in the order they appear in the photo downloader. So far I have not found a way to change the sort order.With kind regards
Let me preface this in saying that I am an IT guy and I do not work with Bridge so I'm a little green in its workings. My color department wants all the users (multiple Macs and PCs) to use color settings to standardize for the entire location. The color department knows that they can add the color settings to Adobe Bridge and share that with the local (Mac) applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. We would like to push this color setting out to the user community but it would be nice to do that via Bridge if it is supported. I have done some searching, but everything that I seem to pull up deals with local applications and not for a community of settings. I am hoping that we can create a repository of some kind and when other users sign into Adobe CC and Bridge, they can pull the settings to their Mac or PC. I have no idea if that is possible so if someone could point me to some material on how to do this I would be very grateful.
What triggers Bridge to start caching image files in a folder?Can I prestart the caching before I work with that folder?
Hello, I had read an old post that indicated it was possible to use Bridge to add IPTC information to a video file so that it was searchable along with all my images, based on traditional caption, keywords, etc. I just added some to a .mov file and clicked the "apply" icon but the information doesn't appear to surface in a Mac finder or Sporlight search or in other imaging programs like Photo Mechanic. Any way to accomplish this? {Thread renamed by moderator}
Hopefully someone from Adobe will see this, but it would be nice if in the Collections tab in Bridge, you could create folders (And subfolders) to store collections in for easier organization (sort of like how you can do in LR).(If someone knows how to do this, please let me know.)
I've just begun to use Bridge for cataloging after frustration with LR. This is ecellent, simple, and does what it's supposed to.I used Media Pro for years and this is the closest to it I've found. I have 3 requests for the next version:1 On the advanced Downloader interface, I'd like to be able to make the thumbs big enough to choose selects more easily and D/L less of them. 2. When using colors for sorting, it would be great to outline the entire thumb with that color, so it's easier to see choices as I slide thru the thumbs.3. Please add "New Folder" to the drop down options under "Move" when I right click on a group I have selected in the thumbs. Other wise I have to choose the images, go to File Explorer and make the new folder, then return to Bridge and choose it under "Move". If there's an easier way, I'd love to hear about it!Thank you again for a great tool!
