Hi, is it posiblle to increase the number of recent Illustrator files in Bridge (Windows)  to be more than 30? For Indesign and Photoshop files there are more than 30 recent files, but for Illustrator I'm stuck at 30.BR,Primoz

I do not need 100% previews, as I am able to tell if my shots are in focus or not from the monitor sized previews.The generation of these files is extermely wasteful of my time and resources. I have had my SSD hard disk replaced with 2TB one and have upgraded my graphics card in an attempt to speed up my machine because of this, but the generation of these files in the cache chews my processor up every time (up to 98%). I often have shoots of 300 images or more, and I have to upload the images, view them in Bridge and walk away for an hour whilst 100% previews does its thing.I've downloaded the free trial of ACDSee which is a hell of a lot faster and am contemplating buying it now, but I would rather Bridge just worked as it used to, as I am comfortable with the functionality of it otherwise.Please send feedback up the chain for the next update.Many Thanks.

Just got a new Imac and downloade CCloud with Photoshop,Bridge, and Lightroom.  Lightroom problems but that fora later time.  Bridge will not open because of: A write permission error has occurred. (I am listed as administrator on long in.Thankls in advance for any thoughts!

This has suddenly and I have tried all within my knowledge to fix.

I am also having trouble with "Bridge" Can't get the "View Slideshow" option to work. Images look odd, almost corrupted.  This is since updating to Catalina. Plus the file extension problem.. Any idea when we can expect an update to sort these problems out? I depend on this.

I looked everywhere I could think of to find a way to use Bridge without any other external programs to watermark image files and had no luck. I knew it was possible. So I decided to create one myself. I do not claim to be an expert at coding JavaScript. I'm adequate enough to code what I need but it usually isn't pretty so I'm sure there's a better way to code this. As of now, it's a simple dialog interface with a few selections and settings that can be saved so you don't have to go through the process every time. It comes with 2 enabled blend modes (Normal and SoftLight) along with an opacity setting to blend the watermark to your image. Bridge does have some limitations with image manipulation so as of now you need to use a png file (alpha channel acceptable for transparent background) for the watermark file and jpg files for your image files. The output will also be in jpg format. I did include functions for 2 other blend modes (Darken and LinearLight) but those are not e

When I rename my files using batch rename, I am unable to open those files in the camera raw editor. Has this happened to anyone and how can I fix it? Thanks

I have notice my bridge stop auto opening my PDF. The settings are checked but notice that when I rename the PDF, bridge doesnt include file extension after untitled. I tried everything to reset presets. 

Imagine I have a big folder of 15,000 pictures.In Bridge, I'll go into that folder and it'll start generating thumbnails. It'll also start building the filter list. I'll look at the "Model" filter and initially see 15,000 entries in "No Model".As it starts to generate thumbnails and think harder, the "No Model" number will go down, and something like "iPhone 8" will increase to 3500 and then stop. The fans on my laptop will whir down and Bridge just sits there not thinking.I'll check the iPhone 8 filter, see 3500 pictures, and immediately know that I should have more than 3500 iPhone 8 photos. So I go back to the No Model filter, and Bridge starts thinking harder again and takes away another 1000 photos and adds them to iPhone 8.What's aggravating and driving me crazy is that it'll just stop again this point. After doing an in-place re-install of Windows 10, Bridge CC no longer has permission to move folders in my auxiliary drive. I shoot product photos tethered with Canon Utility and review the captures in Bridge. Canon Utility has a linked software setting which calls an app after each capture. On the Mac, this feature switches focus to Bridge but on Windows 10, Canon Utility won't switch to Bridge automatically. I just updated to Bridge 9.1.03 using a Mac 10.14.2 (mohave). I like to edit in Bridge. Now, in filmstrip mode, if I delete a file the screen goes blank and goes back to the image at the start of the folder. I want the gallery to just go onto the next image after I have deleted the previous one. Bridge is what I have always used for culling and this makes it impossible. ie.. delete file #10 I want Bridge to go onto file #11, not back to file #1... also not have the screen go totally blank and have to click on the image again.   Help,   Brett 

I want to customize a set of metadata fields in Adobe Bridge to tag assets used for instructional designers. I noticed that you have a DICOM set created for the medical community. Is there any way to build one just like that with our own perimeters? I know that I can do custom tags in Lightroom. Carmel 

I loaded CC 2019, LR Classic, and Bridge 2019 a week ago and a problem has developed with opening photos from Bridge thumbnails.  An example is that .jpgs now open in Photos, not CC 2019.  I've read several of the Bridge forum posts, and actually followed the advice in a couple of these, resetting registry for files to Photoshop.20, but nothing has changed.  (And which I may have to undo?) There may be a deeper problem, in that when I right-click on a thumbnail in Bridge there is no option to "Open in Photoshop." I've considered setting everything to default in Bridge, but looking through the Preferences I'm not certain that would correct the current problem. Not certain of this, but the problem seems to have started when I re-downloaded Photolab 2 from DXO, not that I ever use it, but I had to buy it to get the updated version of NIK software.  😞 Thanks for your time,Bruce B

any ideas why bridge will not open on my computer?  it's installed... ps opens just fine,  i tried opening it from ps too... and have uninstalled,, restarted computer and reinstalled... 

After I batch rename my files the file type changes from "JPEG file" to "jpg)". Once it does this and I go back to the files I cannot open them. Why is this and can I get them back?

I am a wedding photographer and I have used Bridge to cull all my photos for many years. I recently updated to Adobe Bridge 2019 and in the previous versions of Bridge if I hit the label button "CTRL + 7" to label it would label. If I wanted to remove the label I would hit "CTRL + 7" again and it would unlabel. Now for some reason I cant unlabel things I have labeled unless I manually do it from the top left menu bar. I have set the labels in the preferences to use the CTRL + function but still I cant unlabel.

Referencing Bridge 2019. I may have overlooked something obvious all this time, but please tell me, is it possible to anchor the Favorites/Folders Panel so it does not constantly move and adjust left to right as folders are opened and closed? It is frustrating to constantly have to toggle the bottom scroll bar back and forth to view the folder strucure. Help appreciated.

Hi- upgraded to Bridge CS3 2.0.0975 and when I select a folder, there's no "file path" (or source path to where it originates) displayed like the older Bridge versions. Upgraded to Bridge CS3 2.0.0975 and now I can't find how to view files in "List View" mode. The only options are "As Thumbnails" and "As Details". What happened to the useful and convenient controls at the bottom of the window? Can we get that back?Thank you,Joe

I have started adding keywords to my pictures using Adobe Bridge [because Windows won't tag my Canon .cr2 raw files] and the keywords are save as a separate .xmp file. Can I embed keywords in the metadata of the file rather than as a separate .xmp file?Thanks.

Referring to this thread:Can't choose cache folder in Bridge CS6 on a different drive/partition I could not post in that thread as I originally intended to.What did work for both Bridge CS6 and Bridge CC 2018 was to directly edit the registry on a Windows 7 Pro 64 bit PC using REGEDIT.EXE.Under registry key Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Bridge CS6\Preferences, the key CacheDirectory, type SZ, was missing. I added this key with a value "J:\Adobe_Bridge-CS6_Cache" which is where my cache files are stored. The key was missing.In the same key under Bridge CC 2018, this key had reverted to the Users\User folder.Having done these two simple registry edits, both versions of Bridge recognised the locations, and can now "see" all the other disks on this PC.Both of these programs had been working perfectly (using my non-standard cache locations) until I reconfigured my largest data drive.
