Can someone please help me connect Bridge CC to CS6 Photoshop. I have both loaded and changed the preferred Photoshop application (for jpg and other document types) to CS 6 in bridge - but double clicking on a photo in bridge does not open the photo in Photoshop. Do I need to buy CC to use the Raw processor in Bridge CC?
After I have gone through a folder and entered IPTC Metadata information, how do I mark these folders as Metadata IPTC Processed?Message was edited by: Akash Sharma
[Moderator moved from Adobe Creative Cloud to Bridge.] Hello, I am struggling with changing the meta-data with Adobe Bridge preferences. I literally see no place to click “OK”. I have the latest version of Adobe Bridge, I have watched numerous classes on the topic, etc. after I make my changes, there is no auto save, So none of the preferences are saved. I tried moving the window to see if I was missing the place to click on save or OK, but there is nothing. Thank you for anyone’s help!
Is there a way to make keywords from one folder completely go away when navigating to a new parent folder. For example, I have a folder of animal entourage and one of the keyword groups is type, with words like dog, cat, domestic, etc. In a different folder, I have landscape elements, also with a 'type' keyword group, with words like fence, fire, rocks, etc. When I navigate away from the animal folder and into the landscape elements folder, the dog and cat keywords come with me and appear in the sidebar. I want to be able to click on a folder and only those keywords associated with it appear, then click out of it, and those keywords go away. Does anyone have a solution to this?Thanks
Hi,I was wandering if anyone has seen this before. It does not happen all the time and it happens with different lens as well. Some photos have no smears on them at all and some are multi coloured. Any suggestions would be welcome as this is being a pain nowProblemMachine SpecKind regards,Kevin{Thread renamed by moderator}
Having trouble getting correct color when using "Output" from Bridge to create a PDF. Worklfow:I have synced color spaces from Bridge across all Apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, etc.)In Bridge Preferences > Output I have Preserve Embedded Color Profile checked.In the "Output" workspace I create a multi page document from the JPGs (with embedded ICCs) in Bridge for export as PDF.The end result PDF colors are duller and darker than the original file.Now, if I save the original PSD files as PDFs in Photoshop (embedding ICC profiles), then open them in Acrobat File > Create > Combine files into single PDF (in this case), the resulting PDF colors match perfectly. However, this is a more laborious workaround that I would rather not have to do. All of this leads me to believe the problem lies in Bridge somewhere, but I can't figure it out. I often have to create PDFs which contain multiple images for approval so the Bridge workflow is simplest, yet the c
I view thumbnails of indesign files in bridge. Until yesterday, all of the files were displayed as thumbnails. Yesterday, after I clicked a thumbnail to open the file in indesign, it would change to the indesign file icon. I tried purging the cache which did nothing. I tried increasing the mb size of the allowed thumbnails and that did not work. I updated to the current versions of bridge and indesign. That did not change anything.
I use Bridge CC on a Mac laptop. If I connect to a mirrored display, moving to Slideshow or Full Screen Mode causes occasional, random, unpredictable crashes. The screen goes blank, and then the log-in screen appears, and I have to go through the full process: password and then waiting for all apps that were open to re-open. If, with a mirrored display, I am simply browsing through folders, or if I am using Camera Raw on an image, there is no problem. The problem arises only, but not always, as I switch to Slideshow (ie, press cmd-L) or Full Screen Mode (ie, press the space bar). I am using mirrored display as mirror in-built display, not mirror external display. The problem occurs whether I am using a digital projector or a TV as the external display. As I use this scheme to show images at a Camera Club, I really would be grateful for a solution. Many thanks!
Just like the title of this post says – Why do SOME folders in the left-side Folders list have dropdown arrows, but others do not, but crucially, when there are NO sub-folders contained within it?See the attached screengrab.I have a folder with three other folders contained within it.Folders 2 and 3 have dropdown arrows, but folder 1 does not.This would seem to me to indicate that folders 2 and 3 have sub-folders within them, but you'll notice that the dropdown arrow on folder 2 has been clicked on, and is pointing down, but is not showing any folders contained within it.And believe me, there are no folders within it.As far as I can tell, each of these three sub-folders is, for all intents and purposes, exactly the same.They each have a selection of images in them, and that's it. No sub-folders. No hidden files (I have turned on "View > Show Hidden Files" to check).The images in them are all the same type, just JPGs. They are all named in the same way.Here's a few steps that confuse
Another problem in this bug-ridden CC Bridge. Sometimes, I can add no data to the raw Nikon .mov files, though usually I can. In the current instance, I was adding more data such as location, description, keywords and other to those in a Bridge search, with about 153 .move files. I had been lucky and only 1 had given the message that data could not be added. So I was finalizing, adding another keyword to some, and I got the message that some could not accept data and now there were 11, such files, and they had lost all the previously added keywords, description, headline, title, everything. As it took an inordinately long time for selected files to highlight that they were selected, and then accept the input data, in the first place, this is extremely annoyting.I previous cases .mov files that would initially accept no data, later for unknown reasons became receptive to such. Also, as in CS6 Bridge in the camera data sometimes a date of a
Hi, as in the title...how to set a new default saving location when importing photos from my camera?a big thank you in advance
There are many problems with Bridge Photo Downloader1) When using the Photo Downloader why is there no default settings?I want to upload images from my iPhone to my desktop but I do not want them to go into my "C:\My Pictures" folder. I want them to go to an external driver D but I have to set Bridge every time I upload images. Why can't it remember the last settings used, or have a default where I can determine where my images go. It seems to default to a set standard every time but there seems no way of changing this. I add copyright info, Keywords etc and renumber the files on every upload but I have too set this every time. This really slows things down.2) When ~I connect my iPhone to Bridge/Photo Downloader it changes the sort order of the image.It is sorting images not in numeric order, or date taken which would be the logical way to do things, but there doesn't seem to be any logic in the process now.Photo Downloader appears to be sorting images in the date they were last access
OK, in the big scheme of things this isn't a biggie, but if I'm correct this is going to add way too much time to my processing. This is the first I've used Bridge since the last upgrade and since I usually designate which images are done to which degree with the star ranking system I went ahead and did this on over 600 images. When I went to remove them I find that there is on "x" or delete for the stars below the image anymore. I have to pull them up into Camera Raw and even then I can't select all and remove the stars, it has to be done one image at a time. Is this correct? I really do not want to send these images to my bride with these stars on the off chance that she has adobe products and can see them. Question: is there no way to remove these stars like there was before this upgrade? If not this is another case of don't fix it if it ain't broke!Thanks,Linda
I have just noticed that all my folders in Bridge have the same date. This only happened in the last couple of days. Any ideas?
would some one please explain to me once and for all, whether to check these boxes or not and why?Much appreciated!steve z
Hi,question about software vs. GPU accerlated rendering in Bridge CC vs. CS6 (Win10/64).Graphics Card: NVidia Quadro K2200 with 4096 MB GDDR5Bridge CC:→ Does this greyed out option mean Bridge CC can't use GPU acceleration?... vs. Bridge CS6 (same PC, Win10/64):→ however CS6 uses GPU rendering?Thanks!Carlos
I just batched renamed all my photos in a gallery. I wish to undo this. After some research I realized that I could've gone back to the original file name, if I had checked the "preserve original file name" box. I did not. Why isn't batch rename easily undone? I mean really. A lot of people have had this problem over the years if you look at the forums. I don't understand why Adobe doesn't just make this changeable by a simple undo command.
I've had an issue with the last 3 or 4 updates of Bridge where the File info popups stick, and show over other programs. They gradually multiply, with more and more info boxes sticking, until I have to quit Bridge to use it at all. So I have to always keep Bridge hidden, and quit it a few times a day -- not a very efficient workflow.
I am running Bridge on multiple iMacs of varying ages. All of them had no issues until very recently with sorting images by Date Created. Now none of the computers will do the sorting.Additionally, I cannot Add or Replace Metadata in Bridge or Lightroom CC on any of the machines, either. Adobe - please fix this problem.
I will to erase all keywords of all my photo's, to make a full new organisation of the pictures.When i click om the option and the V, that is not the solution.To click one main keywords is repeat after a few seconds or with a other selection.Message was edited by: Pierre Courtejoie (email removed for privacy)
I keep getting this message, only on my laptop.Bridge has encountered a problem with the display driver, and has disabled GPU rendering which used the graphics hardware.. Please restart Bridge for optimal experience.Check the manufacture website for the latest software.When I go to device manager, and try to update, I get a message, that says the latest drivers, have been installed on my unit.
I have Bridge CC2019Running Windows 10 with partitioned hard drives, 112GB of SSD and 1.8 Tb of rotary.The SSD is C drive for programs, the 1.8Tb is D for data. The SSD is showing only 28Gb free, and in no way am I using 84 Gb for programs. I had this problem before and the problem was that Bridge was backing up on C a copy of every image I opened.I managed to navigate to the back up files, but I can't find them again.Any ideas?
I updated my iMac yesterday to Mojave and then updated Bridge. When I right click on file info on an image in Bridge,now I get a blank popup window and the entire computer freezes up and I have Force quit.
My script, which had been working in previous CS and CC versions, is not working in CC 2017.In the snippet below, var webLib2 = new ExternalObject("lib:" + pathToLib2 ); results in an I/O error.Do I need to change my code or is webaccesslib no longer available in CC 2017?if ( !ExternalObject.webaccesslib ){ if( Folder.fs == "Windows" ){ var pathToLib2 = Folder.startup.fsName + "\\webaccesslib.dll"; } else{ var pathToLib2 = Folder.startup.fsName + "/webaccesslib.bundle"; } var libfile2 = new File( pathToLib2 ); var webLib2 = new ExternalObject("lib:" + pathToLib2 ); }
I followed the instructions for uninstalling all Photoshop software including associate files, then re-started the computer, and went through the complete process twice. When I open Bridge, it will load, I can select photos and process in Camera Raw, but eventually Bridge just locks up and I have to close it. The only program running is Bridge! I have used Photoshop for years now suddenly it is pretty much a waste of time.iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017)Mojave 10.14.48 GB 2400 MHz DDR4Radeon Pro 575 4 GB
