I was wondering if it's possible in bridge to view custom meta fields in columns. For example, in addition to Keywords I'd like to see see Description from ITPC core. Is this within Bridges capabilities with some scripting (or without)?

Hi there, I just got Bridge, and I'm playing around organizing my many photos. I noticed you can view these photos as a slideshow, via the View tab in the program. However, it seems the only way to advance the slideshow and move to the next picture is by the timer, or using the keyboard's arrow keys or spacebar. I primarily use a windows tablet, which only has a virtual keyboard, which gets in the way in a slideshow. With any other program I've been able to advance the slideshow simply by tapping the screen (left clicking) - I was wondering if there was a way to do that with Bridge?Thanks for any help!

Hi,I'm trying to tweak some code I found for inserting a filename into the metadata title field. What I want it to do is to take the filename which is a code that I can break apart and convert into a more descriptive title. For example if the filename is SCRB01A_20150709.JPG, I want to pull out the first 7 characters which translates to  SCRB = Northern Coastal Scrub, 01 = Plot 01, and A = Transect A so the title would be "Northern Coastal Scrub: Plot 01, Transect A". We started having really tricky behaviour with MacOS High Sierra devices, using our normal Windows 2012 r2 file servers.If you apply any sort of meta data changes to a file in Adobe Bridge - including rating or labelling, it stops responding as soon as you click away from the current folder/try to do something to another file in the same folder etc.Even more troubling, it seems to crash finder too - so you can look around the folders you've recently connected to (presumably the folder cache) but trying to go anywhere else on the server or refreshing those folders fails.Even worse it causes the machine to fail to restart properly, so your only recourse is a hard reboot.It sounds like Bridge is causing some sort of cascading failure that spreads far beyond it - but it definitely starts with Bridge: we haven't found a way to replicate the behaviour with any other program.Has anyone else come across this? Just setup a new Mac with Mojave.After reinstalling Adobe CC I have noticed that hidden system files are displayed in Bridge although the default settings are applied so no system files displayed in Finder. It is just on the main SSD but since other people are working on my system as well they could accidently delete a system directory like etc, core etc.Is there any way to hide them?

Where do you move custom file info panels within the 2018 Adobe Bridge file infrastructure? I have custom file panels I need to continue to use but cannot find the location. In the previous version, they were easily put into the "Custom File Info Panel" folder...

Between yesterday and today, Bridge will no longer start. I'm using Windows 10. When I go to start it, I get a little chime but then nothing happens. I've gone through some online forums and have tried several solutions without success:1. Made sure that there weren't other copies running in the background using the Task Manager.2. Tried running as administrator3. Uninstalled and reinstalled Bridge (twice, including using the Cleaner tool and rebooting before the 2nd reinstall)4. Updated my graphics processor (nvidia)5. Tried running using the both the nvidia and the integrated graphics processors6. Tried one suggestion to ctrl-click on the icon but didn't get anything like what was describedI just started using Bridge and have spend several hours classifying and getting my tags up to date and would hate to lose this effort again.Thanks, Keith

This is destroying my workflowI got a new laptop, installed bridge/photoshop and now when I go to view my photos in bridge, as soon as I click on one it opens in photoshop, so I'm having to close photoshop every 20 seconds!My Windows 10 mouse settings are set to DOUBLE CLICK but single click is working in bridge and I've tried viewing the option menu to fix and I cannot find an option to fix!this is killing my workflowplease help

Hey there-Is there a way to view .EIP files in Bridge? Assume I need some kind of plugin? EIP is a Phase One file format that bundles a RAW file, ICC profile & a Lens Correction Profile into a single file that makes Capture One-edited RAW files portable, sort of like DNG can hold ACR edits.I've started using Phase One's Capture One Pro for bulk RAW conversion of commercial photography projects. Capture One really fits my needs well for this kind of work, especially being able to see the Capture One RAW settings applied on-set, allowing me to build on the initial edits rather than start from scratch trying to match the on-set processing. Often I am provided thousands of EIP files from a shoot and occasionally I need to go find a donor image to replace an arm or some other composition that wasn't originally planned for and identified by the art director.I could drop all the EIPs into my Capture One session and search that way, but I prefer using Bridge for needle-in-a-haystack type s

My main drawing software is Krita. With Krita I have to save my projects in a .kra file type but in bridge i can't see the thumbnail or preview of the image. Is there a way I can make bridge recognize the file type or anything or is there nothing I can do about it?

I have a couple of folders of images stored on a Synology DS1815+ NAS and the file names have changed on them all by themselves.  Here's a sample of what the new name looks like: 2TPN8Q~4.CR2In order to bring those image files to a useable name, I used Bridge CC to rename the files and it didn't seem to work.  When looking at those files in Bridge they aren't renamed.  But when I go to Windows 10 File Explorer and look at the files, they have the correct rename file name there. Here's a sample of how that renamed file in Windows Explorer looks: 06132018_0001  How is it possible that Bridge CC can see a different file name than Windows File Explorer?  And why won't Bridge CC show the correct file name?

When finished working up Raw DNG images in ACR 2018 this error message appears.Selecting "OK" the message disappears and the "Update Setting" proceeds as expected.I have cleared the Camera Raw Cache. Same result.

When I create a pdf in Bridge>Output it opens in Illustrator.  This means Illustrator takes over my machine as it take forever to open and I can't figure out what it is doing anyhow.  Why doesn't it open in Preview, which is the default application?

Hello - I have a Nikon DSLR and use Bridge/Photoshop 2019 CC.  Is it possible to see the focus points that were used by the camera when taking a photo?  I shoot with Nikon NEF raw files.  I think that NEF files are encrypted, perhaps.  I could be wrong.  If not, can I see this in Bridge or Raw?  Or Photoshop 2019?

Experienced with both Bridge CC 2018 and (post update) CC 2019.  The application is unusable on a well provisioned and fully updated Win10 PC.  Freeze on start.  Freeze on about any action (if it eventually unfreezes post startup.)  I have no idea who did testing on this, but it wouldn't get out of dev for the apps I've had experience with.

I use face recognition in PSE Organizer to identify people, then I save the keywords to the metadata. Then, when I look at the photographs in Bridge, those people names show up as "Other Keywords." How can I get those names to show up in Bridge under the People keyword?

I have Bridge CC 2019 running on Windows 10.This is the third time I've had to contact my IT department to restore a network folder that was somehow deleted while I was browsing the images in it.  I have no idea what I'm hitting accidentally, but I'll be using my mouse to scroll through the images in a "clipart" folder of our shared images, and suddenly the window goes blank and can't access the folder in the favorites list, then it disappears from that list. When I browse through My Computer, the folder is gone -- it doesn't appear in the Recycle Bin, either.To fix the problem, my IT Department has to restore the last backed up version, which means I then have to figure out if we're missing any images between the last backup and now.Any idea if I'm doing something wrong or is this some type of glitch?  Without getting a resolution to this, I don't see how I can continue to use Bridge.Thanks,Ken

During the installation of the CS6 Design Standard system, it is possible to complete it, all programs work without problems except Bridge. The 32 and 64 versions are installed, but none of them runs - the program's starter loop is spinning for a while and disappears and the program does not start. I've tried reinstalling with CC clearner and it does not give me anything.I will be grateful for your help because work without this program is twice as heavy.Data: Win 10 Pro version a10.0.17134, X64 Intel I5 - 7500

The new version of Bridge 2019 has a bug - the "hints" that show up as yellow boxes won't leave the screen until I quit and restart Bridge. First, there should be a way of turning off the guides that are intended for amateur users. They're not necessary for practiced users. Second, once generated, the yellow hint boxes stick around and clutter the screen. These remain even if you move the Bridge workspace to the left of right, sticking to the screen where they were. I found no way to eliminate them but to quit and restart Bridge. So please put in a turn off switch for these hint boxes, and fix the code that won't allow these boxes to disappear once the cursor is off the button.
