Bridge

For my Windows 7 system, I have seen a number of posts indicating that collections files are located in C:\Users\<user-name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge CC 2017\CollectionsIndeed, I have files named <collection -name>.collection in that folder, however, they are just small (1KB) files which contain the parameters used to define each smart collection.  They do not include pointers to the images.  Where are the files with the information as to which image is included in each collection? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I can't seem to keep my action photos in order chronologically.  I have the Sort by set to Date Created.  I have even tried by File Name assuming they would be in order according to how the images were downloaded.  Is there something I am missing?  It's difficult to cull and organize action photos when they are all out of order of the action.  Thanks for any help.

Keywords have disappeared, where can I find them? I have got a new PC as the old one crashed.however alle the data was ok, so they were moved to my new PC and Adobe CCC was installed. Later I discovered that the keywords were not in Bridge.

Totally understand that Adobe does not yet have a Camera RAW update for the new 5d Mark IV. Anyone have an idea how long on average it takes for an update to happen? Have to use Canon's Digital Photo Professional software for the time being to convert the RAW files into TIFFs, which takes a long time and eats up hard drive space. Thank you!

I would like to keep the original filename created by camera as a keyword within an image so that even if I rename a image the original filename is available and I can locate it from a backup copy. I would like to create a script to automate this process. Any ideas would be welcomed.

Does anyone else have the issue of Bridge CC hanging/freezing when an AE animation preset is selected in Bridge?  This happens whether I Browse Presets from AE or I attempt to navigate to the presets folder directly through Bridge CC.I have uninstalled and re-installed both programs, with no success.  I can still apply an animation preset to a layer from the presets panel in AE, but of course there is no preview, so this is a bit frustrating.  Any ideas would be appreciated.Thanks in advance.

Hello Guys,This is driving me nuts..Each time I open adobe bridge I see that the thumbs need rebuilding. That starts by itself but it takes time....Is there a setting I do not know of so the cached images are saved?[Moved from the Lounge (which is where you can "connect with your peers" from across all of Adobe's products for conversations that don't directly relate to help and support) to a product-specific support forum - moderator]

I  recently upgraded from CS5 to Photoshop CC & Bridge CC 2017.When i open bridge cc and select a folder with images it eats my whole 16gb memory then freezes the mac.It seems to do this when generating previews is shown at the bottom.My old bridge cs5 uses very little memory.Anyone help?Andy

Since I installed Bridge CC 2017 I cannot label or rate files on the card. When I copy these files to the hard drive, it's OK. I tried purging cache from the preferences, I tried cmd+option+shift and resetting everything, I tried reinstalling the app and deleting all the settings files, no luck. I see people reporting this problem over and over again ( can't rate photos, can't rate RAW files, can't label, ...). For some purging cache helps, but for some don't. Any ideas what else I can do?

HiAll day I have a problem with bridge cs6. The '' central buffer '' command appears, unfortunately this does not help. No previews and thumbnails of folders and photos are generated. The computer has a lot of power, so that's not a problem. I installed the program again but the problem is still running.I'm working on OS X El Capitan. For several months the program worked well. I tried installing Creative Cloud versions of bridge cc 2017 - this version is visible, but I can not work with them because there is a message saying '' you do not have rights to camera raw '' Does anyone have any idea?

Hi!I have a iMac 2010 and using CS5 for over 6 years. Neer had this issue but when I click on a RAW file to preview it, the images change form lovely and contrasty and correct WB to washed out and slightly green. I have no idea how to fix this and have tried many suggestions in the forums and I'm still struggling. I do all colour editing by hand and dont use any presets or batch colour changes. I have been trying Adobe Bridge on a Windows 10 computer and recently tried a friends Mac and found a difference.On my PC when I right click say a JPEG or TIFF I only get the option to Open With Adobe Photoshop.  With the Mac Open With gives me a list of applications that I can open my file with.If I use Windows Explorer and right click Open With I get the other options as well, for example, Photoshop, Paint, FastRaw, Windows Photo Viewer, Photos etc.I would like to have these other options presented in Bridge in WIndows but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to do this.  My friend has even suggested that this is a bug in Windows version of Bridge.  I find this difficult to believe as I would have thought a google search would reveal this.Any way that I can make this workThanks

JPG File Type has disappeared. Bridge will not show .jpg files in one particular images folder. (I can see the .jpgs in the folder when in windows explorer)I've cleared all filters multiple times and still does not work.   Anyone know how to get it back?

I have more than thousand images  i need to update the metadata from CSV file. The CSV file having only file names and resolution and date. The script needs to match the file name from CSV and update the same to image metaIs this possible via bridge scripting.

Hello,Found a great script that will import / update metadata for me, it works really well on my .jpgs but I have several images that are .pdf, and it does not error but does not bring in the metadata. Any suggestions are much appreciated.Thank you.
