I am consistently having Bridge resize images on Custom Export even when I set the scaling to 100% and incorrectly sizing images when I specify Fit to Long Edge. They are all shrinking down to about 5% with almost every image going to 252x189pixels when the originals are Original Files are HEIC (iPhone) and exporting to Jpeg quality 10. Anyone know what I could possibly be doing wrong?
I will attempt to make this as brief as possible, but it may run too long for some folks. In short, the Bridge 13/14 era has been a large waste of time and resources from the perspective of many Adobe customers who have been using Br as an integral part of our commercial business practices ever since it was first introduced back in 2005. I was invited to join the Bridge Prerelease Team by Chris Cox shortly thereafter. I have run my professional workflows through many dozens of prerelease (PR) builds since that time. My studio currently employs Br 12.0.4.286 Release as the only version of Bridge organizing our productivity. I refused to migrate to Br 13 and continue to reject the idea of migrating to Br 14. Let me be clear. Nothing about what I say here should be understood as advocating that those who have already drunk the Br 13 or 14 Kool-Aid should revert to Br 12. I will, however, encourage those who have wisely remained with Br 12 in light of the
Hi all, how can I get .heic thumbnails to show in Bridge? See attached. Windows 11Adobe Bridge Version: 12.0.1.246 I have the "HEVC Video Extensions from Device Manufacturer" installed and I can view the files in File Explorer and Photos. Anyone knows how to get the thumbnails to work in Bridge? Thanks.
Hi yall, just got it confirmed by Adobe's official channel on Twitter that previewing images with the .heic format is not supported by Adobe Bridge at the moment. This is news to me and this is a request for any Adobe official to please register this as a feature request since it breaks an important way of using Adobe Bridge. If an image with the .heic extension is stored locally and previewed it works. If an image with the .heic extension is stored on Onedrive and previewed it does not work (see attached image). Let me know if more info about this is needed.
HEIC Images are blurry in full screen preview or normal preview. JPG are displayed normally.
Hi,trying to export a HEIC image in Bridge makes the exported Image blurry with low resolution. This appers only with HEIC Images (from iPhone). It looks like not the original Image is used for exporting, but instead the thumbnail from the previev. Imported HEIC images in Lightroom classic export as expected. So my question is: how to export a Heic image from Bridge with other Resolution as JPG? Regards Mikel
Starting with 4036x3024 HEIC generated on iPhone Xr. In Bridge batch convertng to JPG and saving into a folder within the original folder. Scale set at 100%. I get a 240x320 JPEG postage stamp as shown below. Tried "resize to fit" using original height and width but that only generates an error when processing. (I love how HEIC isn't supported on uploading sample files, too) If I didn't know that the good folks at Adobe knew better, I'd think someone is working with image preview data rather than the image itself.
I've said 2023 and Windows 11, but this issue has been happening for years.Yes, I have HEIC codec installed from the Microsoft Store. The files open fine in Photoshop. Please help. I used to love Bridge, but as an iPhone user, it's completely useless and frustrating.I have the latest versions of everything as delivered by CC Desktop.
No matter what I do with resize options, I can't export jpegs (from .HEIC iphone images) without shrinking the image to ~10% of what it was before. For example 4032x3024 HEIC image becomes 416x312 pixels: no matter if resize is set to 100% or some custom resize "along long edge" is set to arbitrary number. No such problem with PNG, sized 100% (except it changes DPI to 300 and changes gamma? slightly) I'm using the latest version of Adobe Bridge, updated today, on Windows 11, pretty decent machine. I just wanna batch convert these HEICs to Jpegs! Please don't make an Adobe CC subscriber of many many years have to download a utility to do something this simple.
The scrollbar in the side panel for the keywords is too narrow in Bridge 2024. How do you notice that?Because scrolling in the keyword list is too slow (see other bugs), you have to use the scrollbar more often. But since this is too narrow, in 1 out of 3 cases you don't hit the scrollbar but a keyword and are suddenly in the middle of drag & drop mode to move the keyword (which you have to cancel with ESC).Please fix this bug. (BTW: Why do you disable CTRL+V for pasting text here in the forum's posting textbox? - Is this (as Bridge) a trick to reconditioning users back from long-learned behavior?)
Adobe BRIDGE (Beta) v.15.00 does not start rsp. crashes immediately at start. I am working in macOS Monterey v. 12.7.6. - I already tried to deinstall v.15.00 and to download the earlier Bridge-version (worked OK). - But when I later again installed Bridge(Beta) 15.00 it failed again. Does anyone know a solution?(I also allready tried a refreshed download of the creative cloud assistant - but no result on the crash of Bridge 15.00)
I use the ISO date (year, month, day) as the first part of a keyword, followed by a description. When I enter a new date it is at the very bottom of the list and that requires scrolling, which is not practical. How to change the order of keywords from az into za, or as it is for my application that the last entered date is at the TOP of the list?
Adobe Bridge won't allow me to download raw images from either my Canon 50D or a card reader. I only get "no valid files found." Fortunately, when I plug the card reader into my computer, I can drag and drop the raw files onto my desktop, so I can still get them off of my camera, but, it's not how it should be. Last week I downloaded 3 updates, so I'm now using: Photoshop 2021 v22.0 Bridge 2012 v11.0.0.83 Camera Raw 13.0.1 macOS Catalina 10.15.7 [Moved from Using the Community (which is about the forums) to a better forum... I use a Macbook Pro and store all my photos on an external hardrive. I use Adobe Bridge 2022. Today after plugging in the external hardrive I then open Bridge, it has become very slow and bridge shows a red circle with a white line through all my files! What does this mean & have I lost allmy work?Cheers, Louise
I have struggled with this HORRIBLE application for YEARS, like we all do.Why is is still so totally broken??For the past few days I have been trying to catalogue my images to create a new portfolio. The only way to do this in Bridge is to use keywords. Is there any way at all to make this "feature" useable?
I'm having a problem with a seemly corrupt folder in Birdge. I tried to open it yesterday and now I'm stuck in a loop. I get an error just saying 'Error' I click on OK and Bridge closes. I have deleted the folder from my computer, but still every time Bridge opens it goes back to the location of the old folder and the same happens again. I have re-installed it twice but still the same problem. Any one else had this issue?
At the moment I am shooting in the raw+jpeg mode, as I often send the jpegs to friends that I was out shooting with on the same day, and then properly edit the raws later on. I was wondering if there's a way to delete both the raw and jpeg file pair if I take a poor shot, in order to speed up my workflow rather than going through and deleting both one by one. Many thanks in advance
Hello Bridge Community,is there a smart way to find (or filter) only those images that contain (automatically) applied GPS metadata? I found "Altitude" in the advanced search dropdown but nothing more. The search task should reveal all images which have Latitude and Longitude in the metadata attached. Thanks for your ideas!!Martin
I have been having a lot of problems with Bridge freezing when it opens. By freezing I mean that after the program opens, I get the busy circle and it will show "Not Responding" either right away or as soon as I click on anything . No erorr messages. Task manager shows 0% CPU and 0MB/s Disk activity.I typically open Bridge as follows: in Windows explorer, navigate to target folder, right-click, select "Show more options" then "Browse in Adobe Bridge 2024". I first thought that it had to do with which hard drive the folders were located on, but with more testing I discovered that the hard drive has nothing to do with this: when I open Bridge from the Windows "Pictures" folder, or any subfolder of that, it works just fine. When I open it from a folder that is not a subfolder of "Pictures" (whether on the same hard drive or a different hard drive) it almost always freezes. The exception is (i.e. it works) when I open a folder with very few images in it. Note, that once Bridge starts
On Windows I moved my Bridge settings folder from %appdata%\Adobe\Bridge 2024 to a shared location so I can use the same settings etc. across multiple devices / OSes.However, on my Mac when I point ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge 2024 to the shared location, it will cause Bridge to crash on opening.I assume there are some files within the Bridge 2024 settings folder where either a OS specific path is used or OS specific files, and this is causing the crash. I wondered what these were (so I can potentially sort the issue)?
Unfortunately at this point, I am unable to use Bridge 2023 in my production workflow because it is very, very buggy. This list was compiled on Windows 10 Pro, have not yet been able to do much testing on Mac. I do have both Intel and M1 Macs so I will be evaluating it there. - Move only, no copy for drag-and-drop, even if Option key held down- Favorite not highlighted during drag, making it difficult to determine the drag target- "No Labels" and "No Ratings" in Filter panel (should be "No Label" and "No Rating")- Text spacing in Details mode, still VERY poor layout and use of space. I bugged this several versions ago in pre-release and it hasn't been addressed- No drive info (used/free/items) (this is basic, vital info.)- Metadata panel, poor text layout and wrapping (items truncated instead of wrapped, uses way too much space)- No tooltip for truncated panel text (Impossible to see what has been truncated)- Difficult to dock detached panels- No scrollbar arrows, too narrow scr
In Bridge, when I'm looking at thumbnails of images I have in a folder some of them will show an icon that looks like 3 sliders. Some of them will show an icon that looks like a cropping icon. Most of them have no icons at all. I've attached a screenshot to show what I mean. What are those icons telling me? How did they get on some thumbnails and not on others?
Hey, I hafe a bunch of photos as BMP Format which I would like to export with Bridge as Tiff´s. It doesn´t matter how I try to export the photos, Bridge won´t do it. The error message says "not supported format". Also I just updated Bridge so that shouldn't be the problem. What can I do to solve that problem? Thanks for your help in advance!
Is there a way to find layered TIFF files in Bridge (or another method, perhaps scripting Bridge/Photoshop)?This came up on another forum, where layered TIFF files may be accidentally saved when they should be layered PSD for this workflow. The best that I have been able to do is use the Bridge FIND command to search all metadata excluding the keyword “Adobe Photoshop Camera Raw” as it appears that in CS6, a flat TIFF contains this phrase in XMP metadata, while a layered TIFF does not. Text layers can be found using the metadata keyword “layers”, however this does not find pixel or adjustment layers. There are alternative options with ExifTool or ImageMagick/GraphicsMagick, however I was looking for a “standard” Adobe option.Any ideas?
