When I have a folder with images that I want to open in Bridge, I used to be able to drag and drop the folder on the Bridge icon in the dock. This would launch Bridge and open to show all the images in that folder. This no longer works. Instead I have to launch Bridge, navigate to my external drive and then browse down until I get to the folder I want.I have a Mac computer running Ventura MacOS version 13.2.1. My Bridge version is 13.0.3. I have granted Bridge Full Disk Access in System Settings Privacy and Security.Does anyone know how I can get back to dragging and dropping folders onto Bridge?
I used to be able to rate pictures on my old laptop in Full Screen Preview (Spacebar) mode, and I could see the rating in the lower left corner. But with my new MacBook Air, I can only rate in the list of the file names. But the rating doesn't work in Full Screen or Review Mode anymore. How can I fix this?

I dont know if I am using it wrong, but I feel like the Zoom/Magnification in adobe bridge is pretty bad. I would personally much rather have it like adobe Lightroom, where u can click and it zooms in slightly, and then hold + drag to zoom in/out as much as you would like. It would make it so much easier to see details in my photos. hope this can get updated pretty fast, would make checking photos so much easier in adobe bridge, and I feel like it should have already been a thing years ago.Thank you
Hi! I have my PS files on Google’s MyDrive in a folder. MyDrive and the folder are clearly visible and functional on my iMac and MBP M2 at the Finder level. However, Bridge doesn’t see them, although the files are off-line downloaded, physically, on my iMac’s external disk. ChatGPT tells me that I can work with my files in this way (and it sounds just rational). By now, my iMac and MBP are working fine. I haven’t any other issues with my two Macs. This is (once more) a strange thing with Adobe products. No other app in my life has ever objected to follow Finder in my Mac! So, how can I see the files on my Macs?? Regards, TuomasPS. Photoshop user since v. 3. 🙂 Sorry, originally I sent this message accidentally to the Fresco group, as it was not obvious to find, as to how to find “Ask a question”, in contrast to the previous situation (when the tab was clearly visible on the front page).
When browsing thumbnails using the arrow keys, Bridge will start scrolling through all the photos until it reaches the end of the folder. This makes Bridge unusable for browsing thumbnails.
Hi all!I've made a script to fill in a feature missing from Bridge, the ability to copy metadata between files. It currently only supports a limited subset of metadata fields (the ones I use the most), but I'm happy to fufil requests to add more.Currently, these fields can be copied:HeadlineDescriptionKeywordsAlt Text (Alt Text & Extended Description)Location (Sublocation, City, State, Country, and Country Code)Usage:Select a file.Right click > Copy Property... You have the option of Overwriting the existing values or Appending, which appends Keywords but overwrites other fields.Installation:Go to Preferences and select the "Startup Scripts" tab.Click "Reveal Scripts in Explorer"Place the script file in the folder that opensRestart BridgeWhen prompted upon restarting, choose to enable the script. If the
Description:As a frequent user of Adobe Bridge, I often review large batches of images taken in variable lighting conditions. A key part of my workflow is quickly identifying and rejecting photos that are either underexposed, overexposed, or lacking in color information. These tasks are best informed by viewing a histogram. However, Bridge currently does not display a histogram for selected images unless they are first opened in Camera Raw or another editor, adding unnecessary steps and time to the culling process.Proposed Feature:Add a real-time histogram preview for the currently selected image directly within the Bridge interface, e.g. in the Preview or Metadata panel. This feature would allow users to instantly see the distribution of tonal and color information, enabling much faster and more objective image culling without leaving Bridge or engaging in manual edits first.Benefits:Streamlines workflow: Quickly assess exposure and color balance without opening each image individuall
HEIC files are not displayed when the name of the folder they're in contains special characters, such as German umlauts (ü,ö), Chinese, Japanese, Korean characters and others. This bug was already reported and acknowledged a year ago and is still present in 16.0.2.23.
Hi,when exporting through the export panel. I have square transparent png files that I want to crop to a 2/3 format. When filling everyting in, the first weird thing is that the numbers are 2000,0000 pixels as a format. Then when exporting the file is indeed 2000 pixels in width, but the heigth is only 1pixel.Thx
Al momento de descargar el audiograma en adobe podcast, seria genial q exista el tema transparente y ademas me permita cambiar el color de las letras.
When I plug my cameras into Bridge, it alternates between different drive letters as my cameras have 2 cards. It alternates between card 1 (H:) and card 2 (L:) as I plug each camera in via the USB cable.I would love to be able to specify H: to be the first drive that is selected, rather than having to check and then click or not if it isn’t… as all my images and videos are stored on H: but only images onto L: as a backup…ALSO, it would be really useful if Bridge could be made to realise that the current dated folder which it’s already got open, had had more images saved to that folder, and not open another version of Bridge, which then needs closing - I hope someone follows, as I’m probably not explaining this too well ?!
Often I like to rate my images with stars, and when I have them rated/sorted I usually put on sort by rating so I then get all the photos after each other and I can put them into different folders and stuff. I thinks its pretty good the way it is now, but I also think it could be a bit better, and make it even faster. I think it would be nice to have a feature similar to the stacking feature, where you can select images, rightclick and choose “Group selection in new folder”. It could probably also be a shortcut like CTRL + Shift+ G if that is available… Since you already can make folders in Bridge I feel like it would be pretty easy to add this feature, and it would make the workflow smoother. Thanks
Photo open in the Bridge /camera raw 18.2 i can’t choose option ,crop as shoot ,it’s not active stay gray, any tip?
I am using Bridge 16.0.0.63 with the latest macOS software. I have a store of 22,000 images. I seem to have lost the function to search and retrieve images. I don’t understand why? Grateful for simple help please? Thank you Mike
I know Bridge already recognises .ssg and .sbsar, but it would be nice if it could recognise .smod files as well as all the common file formats, those also supported by the software of the substance suite ..OBJ, .FBX, .MTL, .USDA etc...
All export processes in Bridge work fine. Small PSDs to jpg , in the same or another folder, with or without resizing. But I have some big (1.5 Go) PSD files. When I try to export it to jpg, the job is done (the jpg is well created) but the process never end ==> I have to cancel the process (wth confirmation). At this time, if i want to close Bridge, that says a process is currently on going… Only solution is to CRASH bridge manually. Thanks for your helpEric from France
Adobe Bridge could have AI for selection of best frames, eye focus, background, exposure etc for bursts of wildlife photos. Also AI search for adobe bridge.
As you add a assisted culling feature in Lightroom and lightroom classic, I think it will also very useful in bridge. Where we can see our photos focused and other thing.
Good morning. The Bridge and Photoshop versions have been updated to V2026. I uninstalled Photoshop version 2025. Now, when I double-click to open a photo in the new Photoshop in Bridge, an error message appears saying that it cannot find version 2025 and the file won't open in the new version. It only opens if I right-click and select "open with Photoshop 2026". Can you help me, please? Thank you. Fernando
Hi guys, question: Why does Adobe Bridge from version 2025 not show thumbnails/previews for the MP4 (maybe other rich media files with video content)? It was so a handy/useful function, and it really works well. I didn´t change anything in the production chain, taking video the same way as I did before, and it stops working and displays just an annoying icon of the player instead. I tried to clean up the cache (Purge cache for selection) as well as to reinstall HEVC codecs in Windows, but nothing helped. Is there any reason why this stops working? Thank you very much for the answer. Have a nice day 🙂Configuration: PC / Windows 10 fully updated / Adobe CC 2025 all apps / GPU Nvidia - drivers updated as well.
Feature Request for Adobe Bridge – Folder Creation PresetsProduct: Adobe BridgeUser role: Professional PhotographerCategory: Workflow / File Management Feature Request: Custom Folder Presets for One-Click Folder Creation Hello Adobe Bridge team, I am a professional photographer who uses Adobe Bridge every day to organize, review, and classify shooting files. Folder structure consistency is a critical part of my daily workflow. Current limitationAt the moment, Bridge only provides a single “New Folder” button. Each time I create a folder, I have to manually type the folder name. For professional users who repeat the same folder structures every day, this becomes unnecessarily time-consuming and error-prone. Typical real-world workflowFor almost every shooting day, I create folders like: Select JPG RAW Sometimes additional folders like MP4, Export, etc. This process repeats dozens of times per week, always with the same names and hierarchy. Proposed feature I would love to see
