I had a queue of several encodes going for a while that I decided to pause while I did some work in Premiere in After Effects. After Effects needed to render something that took 20 hours. When that was done I went back to Media Encoder and continued the encode, but now my "remaining" time says 27 hours remaining. Each job in this queue typically takes about 1-2 hours. So obviously, Media Encoder is not factoring in the time paused for its time remaining calculation. It basically just seems to be this basic calculation: (CurrentTime - StartTime) / %complete * %left
I recently updated all my Adobe software, including Adobe Media Encoder to version 24.6.1, as well as other Adobe apps. However, after the update, my After Effects compositions and Premiere sequences stopped working with the Adobe Media Encoder dynamic link server. The connection only shows progress bar loading. To troubleshoot, I downgraded Adobe Media Encoder, After Effects, and Premiere to previous versions, performed an Adobe cleanup, and reinstalled all the software. When that didn't work, I reset my PC, reinstalled Windows, and tried again, but the problem persisted. I also tried using the latest After Effects version (24.6.1) with different older versions of Adobe Media Encoder, and it briefly worked with After Effects 24.6.1 and Adobe Media Encoder 24.3. However, the issue reappeared after one successful attempt. Despite multiple software reinstallations and restarts, the problem remains. This all started with the latest Adobe updates (24.6.1). Please provide a s
I realize that this thread is 5 years old, but I want to post this for anyone else having a problem with Media Encoder crashing. It started happening to me whether I used ME 2021 or ME 2024. At the same time, something else started happening that seemed unrelated. I have a program on my PC called MacDrive 10 that allows me to read and write to Mac formatted hard drives. When I booted my computer, I would get an error message telling me that MacDrive 10 wouldn't load. I updated to the latest version of MacDrive 10, and suddenly ME started working just fine! Go figure.
Updated to Premiere/Media encoder 24.6.0 this morning and noticed our MOGRT template with a replaceable image was failing to export. The exports don't fail, but the image file in the MOGRT doesn't appear in the exported file. Other elements do appear (text layers), but just not the image. If I export the sequence directly from Premier the image in the MOGRT is visible as expected. In the attached example there should be a title treatment image above the text messaging, but in the exported file (from media encoder) it's not present. I tried uninstalling/re-installing Premiere and Media encoder but issue still exists, so I've rolled back to Premiere 24.5.0 and the issue is not present.MacBook Pro 16, M1 Max 64GBSonoma 14.6.1
I am attempting to render proxy files via AME v. 24.4.1 (Build 2). The originals are MXF files and import correctly and without issue into both After Effects (24.5.0 - Build 52) and Premiere Pro (24.5.0 - Build 57) on Windows 11 Pro (PC & OS details at the end). AME dialog box reads: "File Import Failure"Error Message:"The file [path] could not be imported. The file format is not supported." The same file imports, plays, etc. in both AE and PPro versions listed above, see the files imported into the project panels of each: I would expect MXF files imported by AE/PPro to also be imported by AME. Please help if you can. Thanks! I'm trying to export my video from Premiere Pro 23.6.7 to Media Encoder 23.6.6. The sequence is sent to ME and appears fine in the projects list. However when I click the start button nothing happens. I thought it might be an issue with cache or a broken update so, I did a complete system reset. Completely wiped my HD and reinstalled everything. I was successfully able to render a video but, the problem is perssisting. Nothing happens when I hit start for the render. What is going on?? I am working on a Mac OS Monterey 12.7.5
Media Encoder Versions 23.0.1 (Build 1) and 23.1 (Build 59) BETAPremiere Pro Version 23macOS Monterey 12.6.1Mac Studio 32GB Media Encoder and Premiere Pro are unable to import a video file that QuickTime and Final Cut Pro are able to import. Media Encoder returns this error:Problem.mov could not be imported. Could not open source file. Please check that file exists with correct permissions. Premiere Pro returns this error:We were unable to open the file on disk. For the file in question, Finder reports the Codecs as AAC, dish, Timed Metadata, HEVC. Note the unusual appearance of “dish”. That is the only thing unusual about the video.
Hello, Adobe After Effects and Photoshop work great, but Media Encouder and Premiere Pro just won't open, they load and then close automatically. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it didn't work. If you have any ideas i would appreciate it.
Hi everyone. My usual workflow is to send the completed Premiere Pro file to Media Encoder, where I have some user-genenerated presets that optimize the video at various framerates, crops, and with/without captions.Since installing a couple of Waves VST3 plugins into Premiere Pro, Media Encoder output doesn't work as expected.Sending a Premiere Pro sequence to Media Encoder and selecting an output preset that ignores captions doesn't work. In other words, Media Encoder is rendering the Premiere Pro captions regards of whatever is set in the Media Encoder preset. The only workaround here is to manually turn off the Premiere Pro caption track in the sequence timeline. Note that sending a Premiere Pro sequence (no Waves plugins) with captions, to Media Encoder set to output captions, works great.I've tried using a different machine and OS, but I get the same result. I've approached Waves for help. They say boths issues are Adobe issues because they can repeat the problem using ot
Al intentar exportar o crear Proxys desde Premiere, Media encoder se abre y empieza el proceso, pero unos 15 segundos después se cierra sin decir ningun tipo de error. Solo me da un informe en archivo DMP.
Hello friends, when I transfer the project from After Effects to Media Encoder for rendering, unfortunately it is displayed like this, although I used Particular in the project. Thanks in advance for the tips
Hello everyone,I have an export issue with Media Encoder (and Premiere has the same problem). When I select the "Match Source - Adaptive Low Bitrate" export preset, artifacts appear in the movements of the subject being filmed. The problem does not occur if I set VBR 2-pass or CBR. I have also tried disabling the Mercury GPU Acceleration, but the only result was a longer export time. I have a Mac Studio M2 with 64 GB of RAM. I tried the "Match Source - Adaptive Low Bitrate" preset on a Mac Mini M1 and a 2018 MacBook Pro i5, and this problem did not occur. How can I fix it? All Adobe apps are updated to the latest version. Using VBR 2-pass or CBR is not an option as it doubles the export times, and since I have many videos, I cannot afford this in terms of machine usage.
Missing a font...that's not actually missing. Incredibly annoying. I can't keep spending time trying to track down why it thinks a font is missing..that isn't missing. Premiere Pro can use it with no problem.
I recently updated Media Encoder to to version 24.4.1 and it will no longer import AVI files I've rendered with After Effects. The import progress bar is full, but frozen. I reverted back version by version and had the same problem until I got to ME version 23.5I've tried several different files and the only difference to my workflow is the ME update. Is there a different codec for AVI files in the newer versions that I need to download or has anyone else had a similar issue? I'm fine using the old version for now but I would prefer having updated version functioning. Thanks
A common problem it seems - I have been through all the previous posts about this issue and tried absolutely everything but nothing works. This happened to me a while back, I left it, waited for a new update and it worked. I work with .MXFs everyday with no problem, and then somehow these specific ones are a problem. 1. Using Media Encoder 24.5 (problem present on previous version)2. Windows 10 22H23. I download .mxf file, put it in AME, set to conver to h.264 and I get this failed result error:4. Should get an .Mp4 file but get this in the error log:- Source File: C:\Users\Louie Laptop\Content (Temp)\Misc Temp\madame1_1.mxf- Output File: C:\Users\Louie Laptop\Content (Temp)\Misc Temp\madame1_1_1.mp4- Preset Used: MXF Downsize- Video: 1920x1080 (1.0), 25 fps, Progressive, 203 (75% HLG, 58% PQ), Hardware Encoding, Nvidia Codec, 01:16:34:21- Audio: AAC, 320 kbps, 48 kHz, Stereo- Bitrate: VBR, 1 pass, Target 4.00 Mbps- Encoding Time: 00:01:5407/23/2024 10:08:23 AM : Encoding Fa
Hello,I'm also copying my post here from the Premiere Pro forum here -> https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-bugs/media-encoder-takes-much-longer-to-open-if-project-is-sent-from-premiere/idi-p/14620007 I remember posting this a couple of versions back but I can't remember the post's name 🙂 and I cannot remember If I posted it here or in the Encoder forums since I'm not sure this is a Media Encoder problem or a Premiere one.So, Media Encoder takes about 5 seconds to load all its plug ins when opened standalone. I have some Red Giant and Boris FX plugins installed, the number shown in the startup screen is about 400. BUT if I send the project for export from Premiere, either by pressing the keyboard shortcut or from the "send to media encoder" button in the Export panel AND if Encoder is not started it takes ages. It loads the default plug-ins first, this is also slow and then if goes to the 3rd party ones. I know this because it is so slow
I'm trying to render proxies but keep getting this error. I'm trying to proxy gopro video files that were recorded back to back. The other files in the project were able to be rendered but for some reason this one keep getting an error. What am I doing wrong?
I have problem with newest version of Adobe Media Encoder. When i want to open AME, the start creen appears, but after a while, it disappears and nothing happens. In a nuttshell, it crash. Media Encoder just doesn't launch. Everything worked fine with the 2023 version, but after updating to the latest version, this problem appeared. I have Premiere Pro on the latest version and it works perfectly. The issue only occurs with Media Encoder. I have tried literally everything, running it as an administrator, using the "create proxy" option in Premiere Pro. Nothing works. I hope this problem can be resolved because without proxies, I am stuck.
I'm trying to render proxies again for the same video files from the same computer in the same project file but it keep failing. The render had no issues with the first video but the others all falied. What am I doing wrong? I've even shortened the file name to "122624 - HERO - 04".
¿Porque todo los videos que exporto desde Adobe Media Encoder se pixelean? Ya desinstale e instale el programa pero sigue presentando el mismo problema.
I can't seem to connect After Effects to Media Encoder.Running:MacBook Pro 16-inch, 2021 M1 Max 32GB, MacOS Sonoma 14.5.AE Version 24.5.0 (Build 52)ME Version 24.5 (Build 50) - When I click "Add to Media Encoder Queue..." it opens up Media Encoder but nothing happens.- When I drag a Comp from AE to ME, ME directly goes "Not Responding" and has to Force Quit it.- Tried uninstalling and installing both AE and ME.- Worked when queueing Sequence from Premiere
Hello all, has anyone else encounted a recent 'go slow' on media encoder? This has only happened in the last couple of weeks - I use it all the time and suddenly it is taking hours to encode 6 min clips. Where as, exporting directly is taking 12 minutes. very frustrating. Any advice would be amazing. Richard
IssueCaptions are burned into video despite Export Options > Create Sidecar File being turned on Adobe Media Encoder version number24.3 Operating systemWindows 10 Steps to reproduce Export video from Premiere Pro, using Export Options > Create Sidecar FileStart export from Media Encoder Expected result There should be no captions burned into the video, and there should be an SRT file created. Actual result There are captions burned into the video, and there is also a SRT file created. NotesWhen I'm scrubbing the video in Premiere export window, there are no captions visible in the video. However, if I open the settings in Media Encoder and scrub the video, captions are on the video.
Hi! I'm using Media Encoder Version 24.5 (Build 50). In recent days, I have been trying to export a project that I have edited in Premiere, and in the shots where I have used Warp Stabilizer, it shows the 'media offline' indication in the final video. When I export directly from Premiere, this indication does not exist, and the export is done correctly.Any ideas what is going wrong?
