Using Audition build 24.0.3.3 on Windows 10 Pro 22H2 When I'm working in an Audition multi-track session, I'll sometimes accidentally hit the "M" key to leave a marker when I have a clip selected. Usually I either meant to put the marker in the project and not the clip, or meant to hit a different key or combo, but now I have a marker INSIDE the clip. Even if I immediately UNDO and the marker is no longer there, Audition still insists, the next time I save my project, on re-writing the clip to disk. This is incredibly frustrating because A) nothing has materially changed about the file, B) it takes a long time to perform the save on a 2 hour audio block and takes me out of my flow, and C) I'm usually working in MP3, meaning it's re-saving in a lossy format and losing some data.

Issue: Audition does not show any markers in the Markers Panel when adding markers to a multitrack session.Audition Version: 23.3.0.55OS Version: macOS Monterey 12.1  Steps to Reproduce: Create a new multitrack session and add audio file to a track Add markers to any point in the timeline and Press M to add a marker. Expected Result: Audition should list the marker in the Markers Panel where you can edit its position (and end, if ranged marker) and change its type. Actual Result: Audition creates a marker but not list it in the Markers Panel, even after restarting the application.

When I edit and save something in Audition, instead of just adjusting the Data Modified and keeping the Date Created (like Izotope RX and other audio programs do for example), it overwrites the Date Created with the current date/time. I can't have this happen. What's going on?

I can't click on my files in after they have been dowloaded to audition. I'm trying to click on them and/or drag it to a multitrack session but to no avail. Nothing happens. Any thoughts?

I'm auditing a 15 track Multitrack file I created last year using Audition v23. When I playback the Multitrack file now, I can hear numerous glitches at cutting points. It looks like some of the clips are playing slightly delayed. Particularly those that I recorded in Audition. That's very odd. Some of the clips are in the format 44100Hz, Stereo, 16 Bit, Waveform Audio 16-Bit Integer, others are 44100Hz, Stereo, 32 (Floating Point), Waveform Audio 32-Bit Floating Point (IEEE) or 44100Hz, Stereo, 32 (Floating Point), MP3 192 kBit/s. What may be causing these glitches? Is my Multitrack file lost now, after updating Audition to v24?   

I have all my Adobe CC cache files pointed to the same directory. That way I can keep these cleared out to free up space, and so I don't have obsolete files from old projects floating around on my drive later. Audition is also pointed to this directory in the auto-save settings, but it keeps creating an "Untitled Session" folder in Documents > Adobe > Audition > 24.0. I have even tried disabling all the auto save settings, but it keeps generating these files. How can I stop this?

Adobe Audition V24.4.1 crashes as soon as I open the app. I got the pop up loading screen for the app, and seconds later an error message:"Sorry, an error has occurred. An error report has been generated. Click “Send report” to help us analyze the cause of the problem and explore solutions." If I click on the "View Report" blue link bellow the error message,  I'm sent to an ".dmp" file, in the following path:/Library/Caches/Adobe/Audition/24.0/SentryIO-db/pendingI'm running a fresh update of Mac OS Sonoma 14.5 on an 15-inch, 2018 Intel Macbook Pro.Already tried uinstalling all Adobe Apps and Creative Cloud, running AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool, restarting and reinstalling CC and Audition.The same issue occurs with other available versions of the app on CC, such as 24.0, 23.0, 23.6.6, etc.

As of 2021, in Adobe Audition's Waveform editor,the "Insert" recording function has been incorporated into the Beta version,then in the following official versions. This function had been requested by the community working in voiceover.But many quickly realized that an essential element was missing from this new function. Early on it was mentioned to Adobe that this feature was completely useless if used with MARKERS and that this needed to be fixed. Indeed, even if in the preferences you choose NOT to lock the markers, they remain blocked when you use the "insert" function during recordings. In short, this “Insert” recording function, if used only once with markers, can therefore screw up an entire project.This is because all the markers are therefore instantly in the wrong place, given that they have not moved with the recording. We are now in 2023 and we still have the same issue.Markers are still blocked with the use of the "insert" function during recordin

Hello, I am using Adobe Audition Build 24.2.0.83 on a HP PC with Windows 11 Enterprise 23H2. When I Batch Process a wave-file with the extension ".WAV" to mp3, the converted mp3-file gets the extension ".WAV.mp3". If the file has the extension ".wav", the converted file gets the correct extension ".mp3"I do not have this problem with Audition 3.Please help me with this issue with uppercase letters in the extension, now I am forced to use Audition 3 instead of the updated version.Kind RegardsMats LundellMusikverket  

Audition 24.4.1.3If a file has two consecutive spaces in its name you can't open it from Windows Explorer by clicking on it or using ope or ope with or drag and drop. And that applies to any program that uses "Process start" by passing the file names.  You can only open the file using the "File Open" in Audition.All of the above work in Audition CS6. I'm using Windows 11.

I'm doing indie feature film post audio by Audition. It freezes exactly every second time when bouncing clips to a new track. The first bounce will succeed, but the second time Audition freezes every single time. It doesn't matter do I use effects or VST's or not, it will freeze after the second bounce and I need to force quit the application.I have a brand new pc and Windows 11. CPU and RAM aren't near to full usage or even half of usage. I tried hardware acceleration for drawing setting on/off and it doesn't matter.

Eu gravo meu podcast em vídeo e edito no premiere, faço uma renderização básica e depois separo o áudio no Audition, onde faço uma edição básica, exportando o áudio para depois utilizar o Adobe Podcasts para finalizar o áudio desse podcast com IA para mim.Ultimamente, durante esse processo, quando exporto no Audition recebo a mensagem: O arquivo 'Episódio do podcast.mp3' foi salvo em um formato compactado (com perdas). Convém manter um backup do arquivo original para preservar a fidelidade de áudio concluída. Deseja continuar?Feito isso, ao dar play no arquivo e tocar no media player, o áudio sai perfeito. Porém, quando importo ele no Premiere para finalizar a edição do podcast, o áudio sai todo cortado e muito menor do que o tamanho da Track original. Alguém sabe o que está acontecendo?

So here's my dilemma, maybe someone has an answer or solution for this.I recently downloaded the demo for sugar bytes effectrix, I tried it out and liked it so I decided to buy the full version from their website. I applied the effects to some tracks in Audition and I can hear the effect on the timeline during playback but when I export the mixdown and play the final mix in my car, I do not hear the effects. Does anyone know why or have a solution for this? Thanks.

Hi,We use Audition for batch converting our mixes to R128. We sometimes encounter glitches in the output files. It means we can't rely on using the software without checking every single output file, which obviously isn't desirable.As it is a random error, I can't say how to reproduce it. We experienced it on both Intel and Sillicon machines though.Is this a known issue? Thanks for getting back in advance.Marcel Bultman \ TBWA

Since 2024 edition when I Play in Audition it sounds a little hollow (which it did not fo before). Yet when I export it, it sounds fine. Is there something I can do to fix this? So when I an editing it doesn't sound hollow? I'm using it for narration.

I record audio narration for YouTube videos, and over the last few years I've developed a standard sound setup to make all the videos sound the same, including the steps of my editing process. The order of processes is;1. Capture Noise Print2. Noise Reduction, 50%3. Normalize4. Dynamics Processor, Vocal Limiter5. Single Band Compressor, 4:1 Ratio6. Hard Limiter, -12DB After that I cut the audio in Premiere. But over the last couple months I've noticed that step 3, Normalize, isn't doing anything to the audio anymore. Steps 1 and 2 would clean the audio up, normalize would raise the volume, and then steps 3-6 would lower it in a clean way. But this process has been thrown into chaos since Normalize stopped doing what it normally did, and just raising base DB while recording, or just raising the DB in post doesn't work the same. But here's the weird thing. For the past few years I've grinned and dealt with it, but Audition can be so difficult to use while chasing video within a multitrack session. I use mulitple Macs, PCs, high end and low end systems at our broadcast network, and this is happens no matter where I edit, all using the latest official builds of audition. Whenever I edit in multirack and have a video present, the following symptoms occur- incredible delay while switching between waveform and multitrack views- incredible delays while trying to spot in fx onto the timeline- sluggishness while trying to trium clips on the timeline.  i've tried adjusting the playback resolution and turing off spot video frame while adjusting audio clip, but honestly -these tasks aren't eaiting up my computer's memory at all, i shouldn't have to lower the resolution of the movie-I actually need to use the spot video frame feature!-it doens't improve the sluggishness much. the only solution is to:Remove the video from the sess

Hi all, When i have multiple files (no matter what the type) and after processing i save them using "batch process" any player i use shows all files with the same name, album, track number etc. They all magically become "Love in a trashcan" Right clicking on the file and choosing "properties" on the general tab the name of the file is as it was supposed to be but on the "details" tab all files have become "Love in a trashcan" . title, artist, contributing artist, album, track number, release date, all changes to that track's properties...Any ideas?

Try as we might we cannot open the interface of Audition 2024 version ver. 24.4.1.3 It opens the dialog box and has commands showing but it doesnt show the actual open file or any other panels..im running Mac Sonoma 14.5 Audition 2023 runs fine..But not 2024..ive re-started etc closed and re-opened app no luck. any ideas??

I have several mono audio files on my Windows 11 PC (in mp3) which I am trying to convert to stereo. It all seems fine if I do one at a time, but when I try using Batch Process I get an annoying beep every couple of seconds (I tried saving in different formats to no avail).How can I fix this?

Hi, I have recently been editing and exporting a whole bunch of DJ set recordings. I have been adding gain to the tracks, adding mastering effects, using volume automation + channel mixing automation whilst ensuring to check that I'm not pushing the output (post-effects) to clipping throughout any part of these recordings. I have been exporting each Multitrack mixdown as mp3 and also as a flac, to have a copy of each file type on hand.  I've now just noticed when re-opening each file in Audtion, the FLAC versions have a waveform which looks hugely clipped whilst the mp3 versions have all exported without clipping whatsoever. See audio on left (FLAC export) compared to right (mp3 export).   Can anyone shed light on this issue please?

I've tried entering tag info into ID3 and into RIFF, such as 'Title' and 'Artist'. And I even tried entering  tags in XMP under AES CART, but the information is not saved. Is there a current issue with tagging AIFF files? 

Adobe Community, I come to you with an issue that even Adobe support is struggling to diagnose. Video sample at bottom of post. It's making audition nearly unusable for me, because what aught take me 2-3 hours is taking me 10-12 due to having to wait over a minute between each minor cut. Symptoms: When I open a file, multitrack ripple delete is slow. Additionally, moving a clip along the track is laggy almost unresponsive. With each ripple delete, it takes longer. Delay starts around 5 seconds, and can get as long as 1 minute in only 10-20 ripple deletes. No stress on RAM.This only happens on WAV files that i've run podcast silence delete on, so there are many small voice tracks cut from one single file.File: 6 tracks, each with one 2-hour WAV file. Run diagnostics>trim silence on all. 5 tracks of music and sound effects. System:High-end creator class desktop purchased late 2023. 64g ram, modern NvidiaAttempts: Re-installed adobeRe-instal

[The following applies to both FLACs and MP3s. WAVs are immune to this issue.]🐛 The following steps seem to produce a bug that could land someone in hot water.1) Open an audio file. For this example, the original is a 30-minute audio file called "Audio-30.flac"2) Delete half of it3) Save the new version as "Audio-15.flac"4) Undo the deletion, so that the original length is restored.5) Save this latest version under its original title "Audio-30.flac"6) Close the audio file7) Open the audio file to discover that the "undo" didn't save and your last 15 minutes are poof, gone. It's only a 15-minute audio file, not a 30.Thankfully, I have so-far avoided this issue with numerous backups, but it's still seems to be a bug.Thank you in advance for looking into this issue,~ Matthew

I'm running Adobe Audition; version 24.2.0.83 in Windows 11. ~500 audio clips were dropped into the batch processing window of Audition. All clips were monaural wav files, 22050Hz, 16 bit. The effect chosen was "normalize to -3dB" and batch exported to a new folder (same frequency and bit depth). Many files are OK and properly adjusted to -3dB. But there are several series of clips where audio from one clip is inserted into another. There are also segments of clips that have missing audio and/or are jumbled with other clips. I did a little searching and found no reports of this behaviour elswhere. This has happened a couple of times now. Any thoughts?
