Bug Reports

I keep getting the same error. I'm about to give up on using Adobe Character. I updated the driver, but it didn’t work. I even formatted my computer, but that didn’t help either. None of the solutions I found online worked; the problem is with the Adobe Character program

After updating to 25.0 the app now only installs in Korean.I'm on a Macbook Pro 2018 13" and MacOS Sequoia 15.0.1.After updating and opening the app I found it was all in Korean language and not in English as it has always been until now. I live in Korea, however I'm Swedish so my Creative Cloud/Adobe interafaces and OS language are in Swedish and I have my default app installation language set to English as it is the most convenient language to use as I frequently look up tutorials online. I have tried reinstalling the app twice after rebooting my computer but it still installs in Korean. I have no idea what the source of this problem is as all my other Adobe apps updated to the 2025 version just fine and are still installed in English. Something with the localization settings must have been messed up in the new update? I do speak Korean, but it still impacts my workflow quite a bit.

I set up my audio interface(UA Apollo twin) and it records audio just fine, but there is no mouth movement in realtime or on playback, but on playback I can see and hear the audio recorded track underneath, just no mouth movement on my character. Did I miss something?

There is a bug with the calibrate and activate body tracker functions.  If I press the body tracker camera icon I'm instructed to look at the panel and press calibrate.  When I do it turns off the camera.  I tried pressing calibrate first which turns on the camera, but it won't calibrate.  I tried Calibrate - camara/tracker - calibrate and its still turns off the camera.  I've already restarted my computer and this is the latest 2025 version confirmed.  Mac OS, latest version.

I'd appreciate any and all help in troubleshooting this issue that has been taking me days trying to fix. Basically, when I start recording, the playhead keeps stopping and going and recording choppingly. It is almost like it is being buffered, but that doesn't quiet make sense. I have the same problem with Adobe Audition. I did not have any issues until after I downloaded the 25th versions. Strangely, I have another computer on which I am running these same application versions and no problem there. Please help!

Hi guys !  I'm here to share an issue that can be fixed quite easily if animators know how to identify it, but for beginners, it could be quite disorienting. I uploaded several screenshots of an obvious fake paycheck, the first one on character animator if the rasterized puppet, the second is the layer as I built it with the text, shapes and rasterized layers on psd. As you can see, some shapes (systematically lines drawn via the pen tool) aren't showing up. The third screenshot is the psd file in the details and the last one is only the shapes that aren't showing up. I can provide you with that specific file if you want to go further into the analysis. As I said, it's definitely not a problem once you get to know that bug, but I think it's better to let you guys so it can be fixed and new comers to CA don't have to deal with that issue ! Have a great week ! PS : The details asked by the forum : - CA 2024- MacBook Air 2021 16GB

After I got the 2024 update, it seems my Transform tool has disappeared meaning it is non-existant, it is no longer showing in my puppets behaviors/ properties panel.

Good morning everyone, please I don't know what is wrong.. all my saved project is showing this document icon and its not visible when trying to import back to CH or when I try to import to AE... Same thing happens when I save a new project, please I really need help been days and have restarted my PC and also the CH software.

I have been on with Adobe and Windows for HOURS. Neither of them has been able to solve this problem. When I open Character Animator, the camera square just says 'Waiting for Camera.' The camera is working in every other program outside of Adobe. The microphone is also not working. I've done a repair install for Windows 11, and everything is up to date. I've checked my other computer, and the program is working just fine. Something is going on with this one in particular. I'm very close to doing a fresh install, though I'd like to avoid it if at all possible. Device name AMONRAZENProcessor Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10980HK CPU @ 2.40GHz 3.10 GHzInstalled RAM 32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable)Device ID A578FBE2-D3D4-492F-B2EE-48B113D8553CProduct ID 00330-53536-41756-AAOEMSystem type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processorPen and touch Pen and touch support with 10 touch points Edition Windows 11 ProVersion 23H2Installed on ‎2/‎6/‎2024OS build 22631.3085Experience Windows Feature Experie

Hello, wy is it that if you simply change the name of the folder where your project is, you loose all your work?? Does that make any sense? Saving files is a very simple thing and I feel that Adobe somehow managed to get this very simple thing wrong!!

HiWhen  I click the background bottom in Character animator- This error 2087858137:2941+3 attempt to index a boolean value always happens and I cant add any backgorund. Please help me!

i am getting this when i try to load a puppet from start screen, I uninstall like 2 3 times I dl8 that file too clear cache too but same err

Hi all,I was calmly rigging new versions of tried and true puppets, albeit more complex ones, when suddenly Character Animator started crashing whenever I try to create a new scene in order to test the puppet. I first thought it was the latest puppet that was causing the issue, but after checking it over a few times (having to restart the program each time) and not finding red flags, I tried making a new scene with an already rigged puppet, already in a working scene, and that causes Ch to crash as well. Were there any new updates yesterday that might be causing this? Any fixes? Thanks!Using v24.6, Pro version, on Windows 11

i wanna record my puppet in character animator but it extremely slow even that i'm not adjust anything in the toolbar, rate record still 1s-1s. i'm delete it and install again , it back to nomal but in a short time and back again. I know that it happen because it want to record frame by frame. but i don't want that. i wnat to record it like nomal in realtime. And the bitter than is i cannot find where to adjust that mode. Character animator has potential to be a great software but it's incomplete and missing a lot of basic modes like all the basic options of setting video and in my experiene it doesn't has auto animations like wagging tail . we can do very much thing with this animation.

This problem has been bothering me since version 23.0, the video is version 23.6.When I imported the mp3 and used the Compute head movement from speeche function, the character moved like this.and adjusting the face's Pose-to-Pose Movement parameter doesn't smooth out the movement. How to set it to smooth the movement?

new project wont open it just shows loading sign but does not open after it stops

Hi,I downloaded additional puppets from the adobe website. They downloaded as .puppet files.  When I double clicked on them they would import and open up in Puppet Maker where I could use them to make various puppets. I imported 10 or so new puppets into Puppet Maker that way. I then downloaded some additional .puppet files and now when I double click on them instead of loading the puppets into Puppet Maker they simply open up in they open up in Character Anmimator Record window on a timeline and do not get saved within Puppet Maker anymore. I want to edit the puppets in Puppet Maker just like I did with the first ten I loaded but its not saving them there anymore. I am using Adobe Character Animator 2024, version 24.6, Pro Mode. I am on Windows 11 desktop. Attached are 3 screenshots. One shows all the puppets I imported into Puppet Maker by clicking on downloaded .puppet files. The next shows a new batch of .puppet files and my double clicking the drumbot.puppet.&n

No change after updating AMD chipsets, display drivers, etc. has fixed this. It's just keep crashing repeatedly recently. Ideas?

Hi guys, I've been using Character Animator for four years without any issues, but lately, I've been experiencing a real problem. When I try to record puppet movements, the software lags terribly. Here are my specs:- Asus ProArt Studiobook- Windows 11 version 22H2- 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13980HX 2.20 GHz- 64GB RAM- NVIDIA RTX 3000 version 551.52 graphics card- Character Animator version 24.2During recording, it feels like the software is frozen, with movements capturing only once every five seconds. This lag only affects puppet and audios, not camera movements.Oddly, when I'm not recording, everything runs smoothly. I've tried these fixes:- Reinstalling the graphics card driver- Restarting my computer multiple times- Compressing files- Changing file locations- Clearing the computer cache- Reinstalling Character Animator- Restarting project (with only puppet and audios)None of these have worked. Even when I shared the project with a colleague, he faced the same issue. Is this a

I can't run the puppet maker. It gives me an error. I've tried reinstalling it but it didn't work out. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Hello! I've been watching this tutorial for creating a walking cycle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gv_2Upvtm-M&t=42s and I followed every step, still my character looks very weird in record mode after rigging it although I don't see any issue that makes it look like this, if you could please help! I will attach a photo of how the character looks after rigging in record modeAlso here is the puppet file: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1KcWMu9AjCw8d-YNxkHQafFKwoSv-Xt3B?usp=sharing Thank you for your help!
