Hello - Adobe lists ps beta (up to the current version 25.9) as compatible with mac os 11.7.  I've been using beta for years, but ever since I tried to update to 25.8 I'm getting mixed messages.  On the landing page in creative cloud it has a green checkmark under "works with this device."  It is not listed as 'not compatible' like some of the newer apps under updates.  After updating to 25.8 I can no longer open  beta.  I tried 25.9 and get the same message.  (I've reset prefs, uninstalled and reinstalled).  Even trying to revert back to an older version produces the same error message, which is: “Adobe Photoshop (Beta).app cannot be opened because of a problem.Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Photoshop (Beta).app works with this version of macOS. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and macOS. Click Report to see more detailed info and send a report to Apple.” &n

This all started when I attempted to do a normal update to 25.9 on my Windows 10 system yesterday (May 22).  After the update, 25.9 fails with the 0xc0000142 error.  In another thread here, it was recommended to install the latest beta (25.10) which is supposed to resolve this issue.  I have now twice installed 25.10 beta from the Adobe Create Cloud app and I continue to get the 0xc0000142 error (note that when attempting to launch from the CC app there is no error message, just nothing happens; when launching from the Windows shortcut the error occurs).  I'm aware that some people are having success with 25.10; I AM NOT.   Here is some info from my Windows 10 system: The Windows Event Log reports the following:   Faulting application name: Photoshop.exe, version: 25.10.0.2625, time stamp: 0x664a527b Faulting module name: boost_thread.dll, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x66450828 Exception code: 0xc000001d Fault offset: 0x0000000000003bb0 Faulting process

.   The program starts with an error message and then shuts down.

Issue:Photoshop 2023 beta has very high power usage and increased CPU consumption after duplicating layer which is causing performance issues.   Note, it also looks like this issue is currently breaking the rendering if images in UXP panels. The couple of last Betas, the up-to-date 25.10.10 included, seem not to save the File Info Dialog (Ctrl+Shift+Alt+I) size. Instead the width of the dialog is saved, and the height is calculated with a constant ratio. So it happens very quickly that the dialog becomes too big for the window. Deleting the preferences doesn't change nothing on this behaviour.

I'm using quick mask mode to change the style of an image with generative ai, and it wont sample the actual image for context in the generation such as it did in earlier versions of photoshop

After updating to the latest version of Photoshop BETA, importing adjustment presets results in an error "There was a problem with your selected file, and the custom presets did not import."I tested this with adjustment presets that work fine in the Photoshop release (25.5.1) and also tested it with a preset created with the latest version of Photoshop BETA. Both result in the same error.

Nachdem ich das Healing-Tool (content aware remove) aus dem Camara Raw Filter verwendet habe, habe ich mit generative expand den Hintergrund auf der rechten Seiten etwas erweitert (Foto: Person sitzt auf einem Sessel, Healing-Tool im Gesicht verwendet). Die "Healing"-Bearbeitung aus Camera Raw saßen nach der Hintergrund-Erweiterung nicht mehr an der richtigen Stelle, sind also an der alten Stelle vor der Erweiterung haften/hängen geblieben.  Gibt es hier eventuell einen Trick?

When I select "duplicate" layer I get " Could not complete your request because of a program error."  In fact when I right click to select anything in that right column I get that.   Happened after the Beta updated last night.

Today's update--PS 25.8, m2581 fails to open on my Windows 10 desktop .

Hello, I updated PS Beta yesterday and it now crashes every time I open it. I have unstilled and reinstalled the app (using the Creative Suite app), but it makes no difference. I am working on OSX, 13.5.1 Mac Studio M1 Ultra, 64 Gb Ram. I'll include the top of the error report. Let me know if you need more.for the moment I have switched back to 24.7.0. That works. However, I now have to endure the extremely long time it takes to open a RAW image from Lightroom again.You attention would be appreciated! Many threads on the issue of editing files in PS by using the "Edit In" functionality of lightroom. We know we can't open the files, at least not without waiting.    In the context of my workflow, using raw with DNG in LR. Normally when cross editing in PS there is no target file generated until we hit save. If we cancel there is no file generated at all (except maybe in cache or memory). Thus it appears I am editing directly in the DNG when it opens in photoshop.The latest updates however immediately generate a target file, for me this is a tiff file. Worse, that file remains on the disk and appears to be the one we are editing in PS when it eventually opens up. Even if we don't save that tiff will appear in the stack. This is very damaging in terms of space and the collection. Should be pretty easy to reporoduce. Good luck!

all the layers are highlighted with blue box, can not click to select layers. Must right click to select layers after continually hitting ctrl + H

Using PS 25.4.0 Beta. Selecting images in LR 13.1 to open   as layers  not working.  Only opens 1 image.  Any ideas? Thnaks.       {Thread title updated by modertor}

Hello,   When I try to use the Eydropper tool when coloring in a path in Photoshop, I get the error 'Could not use the Eyedropper tool due to a program error'. (translated from Dutch). I added a video of what happens as an attachment to this post.   It only shows this error when I thy te recolor a path (rectangle or such). The normal Eydropper tool works just fine.   Anyone having the same problem?  

Content Aware Fill doesn't work when you use crop tool and only move the image.The newly created space of the image is not being 'Content Aware' filled. It's being filled with Background color instead, despite "Content Aware fill" option being selected.Video example: https://streamable.com/f5ry59  

Yesterday the beta was ok, but it was updated automatically today and now after starting the PS will freeze with no CPU activity. If there were some files to be loaded - let's say I wanted to edit 3 files from Lightroom - those files are opened first and then the PS freezes. I am not sure what causes it as it doesn't respond to any input, so I cannot change any settings.   I am on Windows 10, 64GB RAM, NVIDIA 3080 12GB.   This wasn't happening in previous betas or regular versions (I can still run 25.3.1 easily).   (EDIT: Fixed typo in the title)

I have encountered some difficulties with the pen tool in Photoshop 25.4. Since the latest update, the pen tool does not work as it should. For instance, when I try to remove an anchor point, the convert point tool does not switch on automatically. Also, the eyedropper tool appear when i press ALT button. These problems are affecting my workflow and productivity. I would appreciate any assistance or guidance on how to resolve this error. Thank you for your time and attention.

The following Photoshop UXP panel crashes Photoshop, try it in e.g. UXP Developer Tools playground:       <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <body> <img src="https://files.catbox.moe/vc7acj.png"> </body> </html>           (the manifest file needs permissions to the image host)         "requiredPermissions": { "network": { "domains": [ "https://files.catbox.moe" ] } }           The file is a PNG file with 8-bit indexed colors.   Trying to display this type of file completely hangs my Photoshop process, requiring manual process kill.   Photoshop version: 25.4.0 UXP version: 7.3.0 Operating system: Windows 11      

It might be Photoshop Beta-only bug. I tested the behaviour in both PS versions I have installed: 25.4.0 (Beta) - error 25.3.1 (Current latest stable) - ok   Steps to reproduce:1) Start PS and create a new document 2) Paint anything with the brush to confirm it is working3) Window -> Arrange -> New Window for Untitled-14) Try to use brush again -> "Could not use the brush tool because of a program error"   I am not sure in which beta it was introduced, I haven't used this function for a while.   I am on Win10, NVIDIA 3080, 64 GB RAM. In both version the "Disable native canvas" is NOT checked. I tested changing some GPU settings and the GPU compositing have no effect, but I can turn off the "Use Graphics Processor" and that seems to "fix" the issue (but makes PS hard to use 🙂 )
