Photoshop CC 2015.5.1 - Is anyone else having an issue with the Selection Tools not staying on All Layers? Has been repeatedly set to:Consistently reverts back to:I don't ever want it set to Active Layers, so I deleted the "Direct Selection Mode Toggle" keyboard shortcut a long time ago to keep from inadvertently changing it. I've saved a new Workspace after setting to All Layers, didn't make a difference. Don't know what more can be done to get it to stay. Any help?
Hello, i'm driving nuts here! I updated my Macbook pro 16'' this morning from Sierra to High-Sierra and now when i'm click a self made action in Photoshop CS6 with any preset of Nik software in it (Color efex, Analog, Silver efex or other related) Photoshop crashes. Hope someone can help me out here because I need to it for business. Thanks
I've used Auto-Align and Auto-Blend to focus stack product images for years now, and although it was never fool-proof, the last few versions of Photoshop have done an increasingly poor job of detecting the areas of sharpest focus, particularly in images that lack a lot of detail. Where once I'd have to redo one out of ten manually, now it's more like 50/50.I'd rather not spring for Zerene or Helicon, as my needs don't quite justify the expense. Although Affinity Photo does a much better job than PS, its batch processing capabilities are not ready for prime time (at least not intuitive enough to easily graft onto my workflow). I guess my question is: is this a deprecated feature? It's rare for a Photoshop function to compare so badly to the competition, and it's been like this so long I can't help wondering if it's been abandoned in favor of more popular features. Am I waiting on a fix or do I need to learn Affinity's esoteric automation protocols?
I cannot select saved colors from the stored colors in the native (MacOS) color picker. This started after moving to High Sierra. Color picker works in other apps, just not Photoshop (CS6 or CC2018).
Actions do not record the angle of a gradient in a gradient fill layer. So stuck with horizontal gradients in my action and have to make clumsy workarounds...* I have a gradient fill layer with a horizontal gradient in it.* I record an action where I change the angle fro 90 to 0 degrees (to make it vertical).* The action step records everything about my angle, except the angle... So when playing back the action the gradient fill remains horizontal.Tested on Ps CC2018.
[Edited: No one has commented on, or perhaps even read, my post below, which means that I can still edit it. So I changed the title from the more sanguine "Photoshop CC 2018 interprets Vibrance/Saturation layer differently than CC 2017."I think that this bug is a complete show-stopper. If Photoshop 2018 changes the colors, and the effect of flattening, compared to Photoshop 2017 and earlier versions, then I can't use it. And I find it surprising that others can use it, at least on images that were edited with earlier versions.Perhaps I am being overly shrill — I would love it if someone would check out and confirm or deny that this is a widespread bug.My original post follows.]I installed Photoshop CC 2018 (Macintosh, Sierra v. 10.12.6) and I find that the colors displayed in a file are different than they are in Photoshop CC 2017. This makes it impossible for me to use Photoshop CC 2018.I have a test file with two layers — an image and a Vibrance/Saturation layer. The file is in 8-bit
There appears to be a bug in CC2017.1 when selecting and rotating more than one object by entering a value into the properties panel. Instead of just rotating, the objects move in 3D space. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create 2 3D objects (I used simple extrusions) and merge into single 3D layer. 2. Select both objects in the 3D panel3. In properties enter -90 degrees into X rotation value Actual Result: both objects rotate but also both objects move Expected Result:: Both objects rotate only (without movement). This expected result works correctly in previous versions (I tried CC2015.5.2) Any Workarounds: Make the two objects into a group and rotate the group. Then rotation works as expected.
The behaviour of paths appears to have changed in Adobe CC. Before if you had 10 separate closed paths on path layer and you select one of the paths to convert it to a selection. After you pressed the 'convert path to selection button' all of the selected paths would stay selected and all of the other paths on that path layer would stay visible. Since Adobe CC, now when you carry out the above process and once you click the 'convert path to selection button' it deselects all of the selected paths and all of the other paths are no longer visible meaning you have to go back to the path palette, re-select the path layer and then reselect all of the paths again. This wastes a massive amount of time because what if the purpose of converting a group of selected paths was so that I can then apply a stroke to them? I now have to go back to the paths palette, select the path layer and then re-select all of the paths so that I can apply the stroke. That becomes a serious issue when you have 40 p
In the latest update to Photoshop CC 2018, character leading is broken. I cannot type into the box or manually adjust with the up down keys. This is a bit of a showstopper...
With this new release, this feature is not working anymore. In Photoshop CC 2017 I was able to drag/drop a new image into Photoshop and it was scaled correctly over the same size of the document I was working on. Now it places it randomly on the screen and I have to manually resize it to fit the respective document. I've tried enabling/disabling this from the Preferences menu (General), restarting Photoshop, restarting computer, reinstalling Photoshop CC 2018. No luck.Did anyone else encounter this bug?
I don't know about the rest of you but since I updated Photoshop to the new CC 2017 my actions that I've either set up or purchased no longer work. This is a frustrating issue because this is how I primarily edit all my photos. I've purposely set up actions to help with my work flow and they do not work with this new update. Please fix this issue or point me in the right direction.
I'm having trouble with keyboard shortcuts in Photoshop CC 2017 running on Windows 10... I have to click around and punch the alt key to make them work 😕😕
Photoshop CC 2018: Exporting @15739213 worked fine until the latest update. When viewing @15739213 exports on a Retina screen (or 4K), they look blurry, like normal @1x. Not doing anything differently, nothing else changed expect for Photoshop updating to CC 2018.
I have the latest version of Photoshop (2018) and the latest Mac operating system (version 10.13.1).I kept on hitting the "." key by mistake, which would change the brush to the next one. So I deleted this shortcut from the shortcuts panel, but it keeps on working. I also tried to replace it by another shortcut, but the "." keeps on changing to the next brush.
I couldn't find a way to send a simple 'bug report' directly to Adobe, so I guess I'll have to write it as a "conversation" on their forums for Photoshop. So, I had to google on this problems for 30 mins before I could find a solution to this problem myself, but I'll describe it in a simple way: - Since most foreign keyboards don't "have" brackets (The "[" & "]" keys), it instead, for example uses the "," and "." keys instead for using changing the size of the brushes in photoshop.Only that, after I had updated my Mac version of Photoshop, I found out that I could only 'enlarge' my brush, but not 'minimize' it.As my google-ing about keycommand options had me find out, I saw that in the settings there existed another option that prioritized the brush sizing with ",". (I believe it was something like, previous brush) So I deleted that short command and now everything is working the way I prefer it to.Hopefully this is adressed sometime soon, for the sake of other
Since a recent upgrade to CS5 (I guess 12.0.4 and certainly the current version) JPG files I've saved take about 1000x times longer to open in Canon ZoomBrowser 6.7.2.33 (the latest version). When I say 1000x I mean 1000x. Recent jpg are taking over 30s to open a single image! I raised this with Canon sending then old and new jpg (created using an older version of CS5 and the latest) from the same CR2 file. They said: Extracting the EXIF data from both the good and bad images we found that the JPEGInterchangeFormatLength (JpegIFByteCount) value is bigger in the bad files. JPEGInterchangeFormatLength shows the number of bytes of JPEG compressed thumbnail data. We believe that this higher number is causing the problem as the ZoomBrowser EX application is trying to use the EXIF data to generate the thumbnail images, and to display the files. We were able to reproduce the issue in our test environment. We would recommend you to contact the Adobe support in order to find out if there were a
Hi Ihave Photoshop CS6 ( the standaloneversion, not CC} runningon my Windows 10 64bit computer. I have all the updates up to date. OnNov.1 when I went to use Photoshop, Mini Bridge quit working, it opens theMinni Bridge window but there is nothing in it. I have tried some thingsto get it working again but on luck. One strange thing is if I change thecomputers system date to 2016 it will work! Then change it back to 2017 and itquits working.
I need to press Alt-Backspace two times in a row to get it to fill foreground color after updating to CC 2018 this morning. Is there a setting change I need to make or is this a bug? Thanks for a quick reply. This is a big part of my job as a comic book colorist and driving me nuts today.
Not quite a bug - but the Photoshop CC 2018 Art History brush is misspelled as "Art Histroy" in the hover pop-up -- please fix this error.
when scroll bar is used photoshop freezes/crashes. liquify filter was used for test. i am running latest version of ps 2017.1.1 and mac os sierra 10.12.5 MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)2,2 GHz Intel Core i716 ГБ 1600 MHz DDR3Intel Iris Pro 1536 МБplease fix this issue or recommend how to bypass itvideo and screenshot added
Opening the brush palette with right button (pen button) is slower than ever for me. This menu has always been pretty slow though, but in cc 2018 its slower than ever before. It almost feel like this menu needs to be loaded with the brushes every time you hit the button. But, I tried deleting all the brushes in my palette and its still pretty slow. I mean, it doesn't take more than a second, but a menu like that should stay in ram and open instantly all the time. Its used constantly (!) if you are an artist painting and swapping brushes, and it really breaks the workflow waiting for it to open all the time.
Every time, when I try to resize image, i got 1px Transparent Border aroud the image. Even when there is only one layer in document.Only way to fix that is copy several times layer and merging.
Hello.Today I updated PS to CC 2017, and tried to download some of the templates, but just get the error:"Purchasing Error. Something went wrong while trying to license the template. Please try again."I tried several times, with different templates, but always got the same error.I'm logged in to my CC account.Any suggestions, anyone? Thanks!
On my machine when I am using the 3D feature at certain points randomly (it has only happened a few times) the layer takes on the appearance of the layer next to it. I'm not sure what would cause this.
When I use the scrub method of adjusting on my leading, PS(win) unexpectedly jumps the number way up, even if I'm scrubbing left, even if i'm holding the alt key.
