When using the crop tool at 100% zoom, Photoshop incorrectly crops off the top row and the left column of pixels, relative to where you clicked. Here is a video: http://youtu.be/uvmWJmRomqc This is on a Mac running 10.9 and Photoshop CC 2014. This bug has been around for about the last three versions of Photoshop, if I remember correctly.

Photoshop CC has issues when merging layers in a frame timeline animation. When you merge layers it makes that layer visible in all frames. This happens every time, with or without the Timeline's option for "New Layers Visible In All Frames" UNCHECHECKED. This was also not the way Photoshop behaved in all the versions of CS that I animated with. Before in CS if you had the option unchecked, if you had merged layers, and if it was only visible in a specific frame, it would keep it that way. It wouldn't make the merged frame visible in every frame of animation. So I'm pretty sure this is a bug that has cropped up in CC only. I am using Windows 7 with Photoshop CC.

Photoshop CC 2014 Bug: Must hit Cmd-H TWICE to work. Make a selection, Cmd-H to hide it. Click off and make a NEW selection. Cmd-H to hide it again and it will NOT hide it, but you have to hit Cmd-H twice to hide it. You'll see the "View" menu light up when you hit it the first time (as though it's turning the "Extras" on and then you have to hit Cmd-H again for it to actually work. This is a HUGE stall when you are working... a real downer when using key strokes as much as I do. 😉 I worked with "Sritama" through tech support so she could finally see what it was doing and it does it on both her PC and Mac Yosemite.

The font for document and layer names is too thin and almost invisible in OS X Yosemite. Is there a way to make the font more readable? I guess this bug is due to the move to Helvetica, but using so thin font for such a small text is never a good idea. I hope it will get fixed soon.

In CS6 my minimize buttons sometimes move under the upper menu bar. If they go too far under, I can't get them back. I've tried pressing F, but that does not make them reappear. I've tried checking/unchecking the various interface options under "preferences" and also uninstalling and reinstalling the app. So far, the only way I can fix the problem is to reset all of the defaults. I've noticed this only happens on my Mac using Mt Lion and/or Yosemite. I have another Mac using snow leopard, but on that machine it's not possible for the minimize buttons to go under the upper menu bar.

Recording an action that unlocks a layer. WHen I record the action and press the padlock icon in the layers palette, only the locking is recorded, even when the layer is locked and a click on the padlock icon unlocks it. Using the menu 'Layer>Lock Layers..." lets me record the unlocking Latest Photoshop OSX 10.9.4

In Photoshop CC 2014.2.0, when I use a script that includes level adjustments, there is bug. For exemple, in my script I set Gamma to 1,15. But after running the script, Gamma is set to 1,14. How can I fix it ? Thank you

In our company, we use Photoshop a lot to create sprite animation for video games. This includes the usage of the animation feature. One problem we have encountered though is that it does not seem to be possible to automate the settings "Unify Layer Position" and "Unify Layer Visibility". We need these settings activated on every single layer in our files, and we always have to set them manually which is very tedious and costs a lot of time. It is not possible to record an action (despite the fact that the unify settings show up in the history) nor have our programmers found a way to set these flags via Java Script. Is there any way this can be done?

I'm having an issue with locked text layers. In the following video, I try and edit the text in a locked text layer. It doesn't allow me (as it shouldn't) but then shortcut keys no longer work. I unlock the layer, manually click on the type tool, then try and edit the text in the (now) unlocked layer. The text inserts all my keystrokes that I had been hitting. I can't imagine this is how it's supposed to work. I'm currently using Photoshop CC 2014 on OSX 10.8.5, but I'm positive I've seen this happen in previous versions, I've only now realized what was happening. We discovered that the scripts in our AddOn (https://creative.adobe.com/addons/pro...) are crashing 100% of the time in the CC2014.2 release. In investigation we’ve discovered that it’s the Javascript function artLayer.duplicate() when used to duplicate a manipulated layer to a different document that throws an exception. This is code that has been unchanged for a long time and continues to work in CS6, CC2012 and worked in CC2014.1. Photoshop CC and CC 2014 are crashing every time when applying the adaptive wide angle filter to a stitched panorama - is this a bug?

Using Mac osX 10.10.1 Photoshop CS6 Color system color picker, the one where you select colors (with "Cancel" and "OK"). It has no way to display more than 2 rows (48) of color swatches at bottom of screen. Other versions of this gizmo have a dot that can be drawn down to expand the swatch area. This may be an Apple problem, but wanted to report it.

Since upgrading to Mac OS X Yosemite (see: 10.10.1), Photoshop hasn't been playing nice. All tools that require "drawing" (that is, click-and-drag motions) experience a small amount of lag. It appears that the system is taking a moment to realize that the mouse has clicked, but after that, no lag is observable while actually dragging. This affects tools like the Brush tool, Lasso tool, Marquee tool, Zoom tool, so on and so forth. It's notable that I've not been able to reproduce this with the Polygonal Lasso tool, which is not a drag-motion tool. This issue CAN BE REPRODUCED ONLY USING THE MOUSE, but the effects are more subtle. Perhaps people using the mouse haven't even noticed. The issue is significantly more troublesome on tablets, however. Using the brush tool with a pressure sensitive tablet pen is a huge headache, if not utterly impossible. Since the most recent update there is a problem with saving PNG transparency. We used to have the transparent layer with a "background" when you turned the background off it would save the PNG but the transparency it would feather into was based on the colours in the original background layer. Now when you save a png it seems to just make up any colours for the background. This is a serious problem as a games developer well underway with our project as we are now having to go through every texture map and graphic in our game and replace them with TGAs. We are losing all the convenience of the PNGS which is our preferred format. It used to work but sometimes would take ages to save the PNG if it was a larger image. Whichever "fix" you implemented has broken it and left us with"fringing" on all our transparent textures. You may never notice the issue unless you start to layer the pngs in a game engine or Maya but for us its a very serious problem. We are currently reverting to old CS2 to

input file is a 16 bit tiff file. i just made it brighter in different editing tools. it ́s not a question that even 16 bit files can show banding. the problem is that photoshop, as the most used image application on earth, has some real issues when using the default settings. the results are quite devasting for photoshop. in fact every shareware tool i tested did this better. i don ́t want to imagine how many images i edited where i thought it ́s a tonal problem and i added (unnesessary) noise to the image to get rid of the banding. this is GRAVE GRAVE issue!!! the cache level setting should not influence the appearance of an image! on the left photoshop .. on the right acdsee. when i set the cache level in photoshop CC preferences to 1 the result looks much smoother and cleaner: it doesn ́t matter for the problem if i use "exposure" or a "levels" or "curve" adjustment. i am using: win7 64bit sp1 intel i7 24gb ram nvidia 980 gtx (latest drivers) photoshop is the latest 64 bit CC ver

Transparent pixels get undefined RGB values when saving as transparent PNG.

Please update scanning method for MAC with Photoshop CC or CC2014. (Currently cannot scan directly anymore from my Epson Perfection 4490 Photo scanner to Photoshop. It used to be so easy. Now I have to use Epson or Mac to scan, save as TIFF, and then open in Photoshop. Very clunky and time consuming. Not a solution.) Please fix this glitch.

In Photoshop CS6 on OSX 10.7 and 10.8 (don't know in Windows) kerning using ALT + arrows doesn't work properly. At first it works, BUT if you change some parameter in the "character panel" and come back to the text, it's no working anymore. You have click again in ANY field in ANY panel (ex. character size), come back to your text field and it is working again. Kind of annoying when you are in a hurry. I can make a video or explain it with more details if you cannot reproduce the bug. I hope you include this in the next upgrade, it is getting me crazy. In japanese you have to correct the kerning all time. Thanks

It seems Groups’ Fill can not be set with the shortcuts that apply to regular Layers – namely shift-number. I work on Mac OS 10.6.8

Photoshop 12.0.4 (CS5, Mac OS X, German) does not show the menu search in the help menu. Other CS5 products like Illustrator or InDesign contains the menu search and the English version of Photoshop has it too - but not the German version.

There is a significant difference in the appearance of an image in Bridge and when it is opened in Photoshop - as much as 1 to 3 stops. Over the past 2 weeks I have worked with technical support to solve this problem without success. I was told the problem was "a known Issue" and should be resolved in a few days. That was a week ago and still no fix. As a long time PS user I am very disapppointed in the level and quality of support. Maybe it is time for a change!

First let me thank the Adobe developers for adding the capability in CS6 for Group Layer Styles. This capability is extremely helpful. However, when I uncheck the "Transparency Shapes Layer Option" and use the Group Layer/Vector Mask to determine the Group Layer Shape (where Layer Style is applied) then virtually all Layer Style types can form incorrectly under very normal conditions. Hello, I recently upgraded to Mavericks, and I have a MAJOR problem that is giving me problems. The Polygonal lasso tool using a Wacom tablet. The lasso too decides to close the mask before I want it to. This happens constantly when trying to mask object with the Polygonal Lasso tool - forcing me to use a mouse when working. I hope this will be adrdessed and fixed soon. There ́s no way for me to roll back the Mavericks upgrade, but as it is right now, Photoshop isn ́t working optimal in Mavericks for me.

This log file gets recreated on every launch. This is so annoying...
