Since updating my subscription to Adobe for Photographers (Photoshop & Lightroom) I am having an issue when launching Photoshop 2022 from Lightroom v11. If I right click on the image I'm working on in Lightroom and select 'Edit in Photoshop 2022' I am asked whether or not I want to edit a copy or the original (as I would expect).  If I select "Edit Original" everything works to plan, the image opens in Potoshop and I can proceed. However: If I select either "Edit a Copy with Lightroom Adjustments" or "Edit a Copy" I have an issue.I can see the copy being created on the Film Strip at the bottom of the Lightroom screen, Photoshop starts up and stops at the launch screen but the image fails to open in photoshop.   If I wait for 2 or 3 minutes I recieve an error message in Lightroom: "The file could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop 2022 could not be launched" If I then select 'OK' in the error message the image immediately opens in Photoshop and I can work away. &nb

So I was working on something pretty important for school. I saved it as a PDF once so I could print it and turned the check mark off at the "keep photoshop ability" thing in the PDF dialog box (So not in the save as box, but the dialog box you get after you choose .PDF and say save) cause it was going to be used for simple print, then I re-saved my photoshop file that I had open as a .PSD file since I noticed it had changed the file name to that of the .PDF, I even checked if it still had the layers, and it still had them.   I close the program, I return to it an hour later and all my layers are gone. They all merged together as one background layer. When I had last saved it the layers were still there, yet now there aren't. I tried going to the properties of the PSD file, to see if there were previous versions, but there was nothing. I tried looking in the Autorecovery, but yet again NOTHING.   I dont know what I did wrong, since the layers were still there when I had SAVED

Hi,I have updated Photoshop to the latest version (Photoshop 2021 v22.4.0.195) and it does not recognize full memory (RAM) on Windows 10 (20h2). I have 12GB ram and it recognizes just 8GB of it!Both Ps and Windows are x64 and are updated, also graphic card is updated. I didn't have this problem in previous version (22.3). Update (29.12.2023): I am not a genius like Adobe, but I am idiot enough to understand there's nothing wrong with my Os, it's something wrong with my Ps! Unlike Adobe, I'm not rich. I don't have enough money to afford a new system or even a RAM module! Please address this rubbish, ridiculous mess!  

Hello people If I rotate the canvas then decide to use any tool that has a window popup (New layer, Adjustments...), the canvas will reset the view to 0. It kills my workflow. Anyone have a workaround? Restarting photoshop doesn't work. It didnt do this in the previous version. Thanks

As the title says photoshop refuses to export to certain folders for no apparent reason with the attached screenshot.   it appears has problem with exporting to any folder that's more that about 3 levels deep - for example /users/me/Downloads works but /users/me/download/test doesn't    this has only started happening since updating today to 22.3.    if I run photoshop under Rosetta it works fine export to locations that before apparently photoshop was unable to export to previously    I've allowed photoshop full disk access but that doesn't solve the issue when running photoshop nativity  {Moderator note: Edited the thread title}

Hi, please can you help me with script for looping through custom shapes in PS?I can't figured out... I would probably be able to do it with brushes but custom shapes... 😞

I have an issue with a blinking 'share' button (see attached video) and it's driving me nuts.   1- i have a problem that belnding mode not working even i scroll down and i tried most of common solution nothing works.2- i have another problem which is : if i did any change it dont apply directly while if  released the hold of the click it works , like if i keep holding the bar it dont apply any changes and this thing happens in any change. (as u can see in the 2nd pic stroke is at the max amount but it didnt apply cus i was holding the left click while taking the screen shot).

Has anyone been able to install PS 22.2 now that version 23 has released? I want to be able to use 3D for the lighting effects and have been waiting for 23 to release to be able to install it. All I see in the creative cloud is 22.5.2 

All my style presets have turned into blank thumbnails. They work and (probably) do the thing they were set up to do, but I no longer have a reference point for which is which! Also, my library stopped synching new styles a few weeks ago and I haven't had a chance to figure it out. Is this realated and how do I get the thumbnails back?? (i reset preferences and reinstalled etc.).  By the way, I'm using the Beta version primarily but have both installed as they like to take turns working on my M1 :).  The problem appears to be affecting both applications. Screenshot below. (Also, somewhat urgent as I do use the program everyday for work and rely quite heavily on the presets I've developped to get my work done quickly...I am now blundering through my workflow...)    

Hi, Adobe Photoshop CC 2021 Version : 21.1.1 Updated : Feb-02-2021   Issue: Shape-Tools\Stroke\Style Combo box Items height collapsed. Weird look of Stroke Style Combo box items in Shape Tools in Photoshop CC 2021      

The new Export As gives bad results for PNG (8-bit) when reducing the color palette. This is most visible in gradients. Tested on Photoshop v23.0.0 on Windows 10.   Workaround: Enable Legacy Export As in Preferences.   Steps to reproduce problem: Create a new image Make a gradient using the Blue_24 preset (or similar, but that's the one I used). File > Export > Export As... Choose PNG, and "Smaller File (8-bit)" Result: You get a few lines through the gradient that are too bright or dark. Not good. Result if using Legacy Export As (or Save for Web): A smooth-looking gradient as expected.   Full resolution/lossless screenshots attached to this post.

After latest update Photoshop 21.1.0 hangs while trying to use the Shawdows/Highlights tool. Spinning beachball appears and you have to Force Quit the app. Happens everytime.

Avec Photoshop v.24.6.0 installée il y a quelques jours sur mon PC (Windows 11 Home), je ne peux plus valider mes recadrages car le bouton de validation (le 3ème bouton) a mystérieusement disparu. Les deux autres boutons apparaissement partiellement. J'ai désinstallé la v.24.6.0 et réinstallé la v.24.5.0 et l'outil recadrage fonctionne parfaitement.

I found a repeatable error when testing at the extreme limits of the Content Aware Crop feature.  I created a 2 pixel wide by one pixel tall image.  Filled in both pixels with a color and attempted to crop out with content aware enabled. This consistently gave me an error of Error 1244 - Illegal Argument, this error does not crash the program entirely and does not block the feature from being used in my testing.

This has been happening more and more lately with the recent updates. Refine edge tool in the mask filter crashes PS. Full stop, full crash... beach ball of death. Is anyone else having this problem? Is Adobe aware?

When I make PSD file in Photoshop 23 with gradient map adjustment layer and then place into Indesign, adjustment layer is ignored.   When I open same PSD file in Photoshop 22, gradient map adjustment layer is broken (discarded as uknown data).  

Hi, is there anyone with MacOS Monterey using Adobe apps and non-English keyboard?   After upgrade to Monterey the vast majority of shortcuts stopped working for me -- almost everything including Shift / Alt and special symbols, which are different on English and Czech keyboard, which I am using. I work in Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and XD. The problem occurs in all of them.   I am absolutely frustrated because I am a shortcuts-freak. I found a partial solution – it is possible to manually add all shortcuts for any specific app – but sorry, it is really time consuming and temporary (I use more devices, so that if would be neccessary to set it up on every devices). I will be glad for any tip to re-enable all shortcuts that worked for me for many years.I currently use MacBook Pro 16'' Intel i9 (2019), everything is up to date.

Basta clicar no ícone da ferramenta de seleção para o windwos reiniciar! Estou com a versão mais atual do driver da Nvidia, ultima versão do photoshop 24.5 e o problema é irritante! Não consigo trabalhar de forma alguma, o computador simplesmente reinicia! Isso não pode acontecer, já mudei de placa de video, achando que era a minha placa, mas não é, mudei, fonte, mudei memórias e simplesmente ao instalar a versão 22.2 o problema desapareceu! Ou sejá a ultima vesão do Photoshop causa esse problema na minha CPU com RTX 3060 TI. E agora o que faço para resolver esse problema?

This is more annoying than life threatening, and maybe I am missing something.  Until recently we could open the New Document panel, which already have the pixel size of the image you had copied to the clipboard, and hit the enter key to OK it.  That doesn't work now.  Even though the Create button is blue, it is not active.  You can hover over Create with the mouse to make it active, but you might as well left click to OK it if you have done that.  You can hit the Tab key 20 times (yes, I actually counted).  You only need to hit Shift Tab three times to work backwards to the Create button, but It's still quicker to use the mouse.   It's a small thing, but it's annoying. This is happening with beta and full release versions, and with today's micro-updates.   If I am missing something, please tell me.  If it is also annoying you, please add to this thread to let the Development Team know.

We used to be able to drag and move layer styles like drop shadows and gradients to reposition them when the layer styles window was open. This doesn't work anymore in Photoshop 2020. IS this intentional, reversible, or a bug. Thanks.

Ps 24.5 (and beta) has been crashing when I select the new Remove Tool, then select another Healing tool and finally do a long click to change the tool again.   See the attached video where I create a new empty document, hover over the Remove Tool, then long click to reveal the other tools and click to select the Spot Healing Brush Tool. Next, I hover over the Spot Healing Brush Tool for a brief moment before a long click again - crash! Happens every single time.   If I never select the Remove Tool, then Ps doesn't crash when changing beween the other healing tools.   After reading some of the posts about crashes associated with the Remove Tool, my situation seemed different. I tried some of the usual 'fixes', but the only Preference that fixed the problem was turning off the GPU support.   Since I had updated my NVIDIA GPU driver to the latest Studio Driver 535.98 about a week ago, I decided to go back to the previous driver 531.61. That has solved the problem.

I installed my new Graphic Card AMD Radeon Pro W6800X along with my W5700X and RX 6900XT. But this is where the nightmare fall down on me. I can open Photoshop but soon as I open a photo or create a new file, it just crushed till I turned off using GPU. I am now no where to use my GPU. Is it a bug or somthing wrong with my machine ? I even tried unstalling Photoshop and reinstalled but same. I go through all the trouble of building Spot Channels and Photoshop doesn't always save them. I have to do "save as" and make sure the "Save Spot Channels" box is checked. Which sometimes it is- but at random it is not. I do not know what causes this - but it is infuriating. Sometimes I open my file - the spot channel is gone- but the alpha channels I created are there. Alpha channels take a lot less effort to create and Photoshop saves them automatically- why aren't Spot channels saved automatically. I feel that anything I create should save no matter what. If I hit save- everything in the file should save. Spot channels should automatically save. If I didn't want them there, I would throw them away.

The hue selector in the "Hue Cube" goes from 350 degrees to 0 degrees, not 360 degrees to 0 degrees. It's missing 3% of the hues. Can you please fix this?
