When I select the text or try to edit some text in a CMYK file it doesn't show anything showing whether or not I selected that text. I can edit normally, but without this information it gets a little complicated to know what I'm selecting or not

In previous versions Ctrl + or Ctrl - were used to zoom and Ctrl+Alt + and Ctrl+Alt -  zoomed and resized a floating window. Note : Both of these were without the preference Zoom resizes window checked.In v21.1 Ctrl+Alt +  and Ctrl+Alt -  zoom but do not resize the document window.Dave

In CC2017 (first video) you were able to see a selection border for parts of your image that go beyond your canvas. So, if you crop an image (disable 'Delete cropped pixels' first), and then Ctrl+click on the layer thumb in Layers panle, you will see the whole border around the layer pixels.   Later, and now in CC2022 (second video), We don't see the whole border, but only the part of it that fits into the canvas — which is ridiculous and useless. Now we have to call Free Transform to check a layer’s extension, or use Reveal all (and revert back then).   If it's 'indended', please reconsider your intentions, because it's just harmful. If you just missed it — please fix it.

Hello. I have had a problem with PS on iPad Pro with M1 processor for some time - system 15.0.2. the program closes as soon as it is opened. I tried reinstalling PS, the entire Creative Cloud with applications. logging out and back in and nothing. no change. other applications like Illustrator or Lightroom  are working normalny. Have you got any idea what to do ?

Hi   Firstly. Do you (Adobe) read the error message submitted from Photoshop? Is it useful to submit that way too?   To the question now! Photoshop crashes when using the Polygonal Lasso tool. I don't think it's related to Feather or what layer I select on? A bit random, not every day. Please contact me if you have questions about the issue.   Kind regards, Robert    

Photoshop 2021:When I "Save as..." and then choose the image option 6, the preview shows better quality than 7. 

New Photoshop v23 Depth Blur has major problems with strength. The blur is so weak that I had to double check if the filter applied or not.   This is the old v22.5 Depth Blur render with strength @ 75.       New v23 Depth Blur with Strength 100.  It is unusable at the current state and I will have to roll back to the old Photoshop version. 

Whenever I try to send an image from Lightroom cc to Photoshop cc, Photoshop crashes and won't open the image.

I have had this problem for the last few iterations of Photoshop, but I can't remember when it started. I am surprised that I haven't seen anyone else mention it.When I move the screen (for instance, when at 100% on a large document) using flicks on my Magic Mouse (Mac OS, of course), the screen will continue scrolling for 10-15 or more seconds after my last flick. This means that it is basically impossible to scroll using flicks on the mouse. I find using the space bar + drag much less intuitive and much slower, and since I can barely see the scroll bars in the modern Mac user interface, I am spending way too much time doing things that used to be dead simple.Is there anything I can do about this?(MacOS Mojave 10.14.2, Photoshop 20.0.2, Magic Mouse 2)

There's a noticeable lag in curves since version 21.1. I am now on 21.1.2 and it's still there. Up until 21.0 they used to refresh smoothly. I am attaching a video to illustrate the problem. I'm also attaching a couple of screenshots of my performance tab in "Preferences". After updating to the latest version of Photoshop, now when I try to use Sky Replacement it keeps going into a Program Error: "Could not complete your request because of a program error".   {Moderator edited title - PS-72990}

I am experiencing an issue currently in 22.5.1 (but I am pretty sure it was also happening in previous versions) where using the scroll wheel to change path shape parameters in the properties panel causes the document path display to become corrupted, paths disappear or start to jitter and leave an “after image”, in short, the paths don’t get rendered correctly. This happens in both GPU accelerated and non-GPU accelerated modes, I am on Windows 10 Pro.   Steps to reproduce: Create a new RGB transparent document. Select the Rectangle Tool, make sure you are in Path mode. Create a rectangle. Create another rectangle. Select the Path Selection Tool and use it to drag the shapes around noting everything is “hunky-dory”. Select one of the rectangles and open the properties panel make sure the panel is in Shape Properties mode. Move the mouse over the W field and click once. Use your scroll wheel to increment or decrement the value, if you have the Windows setting that mandates the mou

On ipados 15.0.2, Photoshop 2.7.2, I can't start a line with the brush tool from the space where the layers drawer would be if it wouldnt be hidden. Even if the drawer is hidden the line wont start from there.

Hi guys!   After the last update I can't open and edit the contents inside a smart object, but this is only happening with a cloud document, when I use a local .psd file it works normally. I know it is possible to convert the object to layers, however this isn't helpful when there is a lot of links or scale and others distortions.   Does anyone know how can fix this still working with cloud files?   The message that appears is this one: "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document."   {Edited title - PS-70456}

Photoshop 2021 ships with an end of support version of NodeJS that is currently vulnerable to a number of vulnerabilities that will not be fixed. This then results in vulnerability warnings in Microsoft Defender and other vulnerability scanning tools. C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2021\node.exe: v8.11.1   I attempted to talk to both Adobe Customer Support and Security Operations about this, and this is my last resort. For others experiencing the same problem, I am aware that the node.exe executable can be deleted, or even upgrade NodeJS in place - I did want to bring this to Adobe's notice just on the off chance they can rev Node in a future update.

Photoshop crashing when I try the Smart Sharpen filter with an enhanced DNG. Does NOT happen with the original CR2 file. Deactivating native canvas doesn't help. Yes I know the GPU is old and unsupported, this is a work computer and I can't upgrade it.   Two crash reports sent but not with this email, please contact me privately for the work email used in the CC login. I can upload the files if needed. See screen capture, something is crazy with the file sizes...   ETA also happens if I save the DNG to PSD or TIFF. I have been able to reproduce the issue on 22.5.1 consistently using the following steps:1. Create a new RGB transparent document.2. On top of the default layer add a group with a single layer inside and two more layers above the group.3. Apply color overlay effect to the group and the layer above the group.4. Select all layers and groups in the layer panel.5. Right click the selected layers in the layer panel in any spot that is not directly over the group made earlier or click the Layer menu, choose Rasterize and then Layer Style.6. A popup window will be displayed proclaiming "Could not rasterize because of a program error"The intended behaviour is a bit tricky, I would say for me collapsing the group and applying the effect is the preferred result but this could be an unwanted behaviour for someone else, perhaps a better warning telling the user that he cannot rasterize a group this way.

Photoshop has started crashing when I use adjustment layers, more specifically I have tested on hue/sat and curves. When I go to adjust the settings I get a crash.   I have a Windows 10 PC and a Macbook, the problem is only on Windows and I cannot reproduce the issue on my Macbook.    What I have tried: Updating from v22.3.1 to current v22.5.1  Updating GPU drivers Updating Windows Disabling GPU processor Reducing RAM allocation to 60% (down from 85%) Reducing cache tile size Restarting machine. Uninstalling third party plug-ins.   Windows PC spec: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 32GB DDR4 RAM AMD 5700 XT GPU   My workaround is to use Photoshop CC 2020 for now, but having 2 versions of Photoshop installed is a waste.    

The problem is with spotHealingBrushTool and colorReplacementBrushTool. I'm having problems, when I import a PDF or illustrator file into Smart objetct, photoshop closes. Any solution? {Moderator edited title - PS-72176}

Photoshop 22.5.1 keeps crashing after only a minute or two of being opened.  I'm working on Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7. Generally I am editing photos in PS from Lightroom.  I have re-booted my laptop many times to no avail.  I have sent numerous crash reports to Adobe.  Any advice?
