Description: Premiere Pro crashes immediately when dragging and dropping footage from Windows Explorer into the program. The crash happens as soon as the footage selection or mouse pointer enters the Premiere Pro window.Steps to Reproduce:Select footage in Windows Explorer.Drag and drop the selection to the Premiere Pro interface.Expected Result: The footage should be imported into the bin in project browser.Actual Result: Premiere Pro freezes, crashes.Premiere Pro does not generate a crash log for this. It just freezes. I left the PC on while I went for lunch and it was still frozen so I ended the process from task manager. It does this for 3/10 of the drag and drop operations. The footage is H265 from Fujifilm XT4 at 200mbps from an external USB3.0 drive.Additional Information:24.4.1 Build 2Windows 10 x64

When relinking offline media, pushing Locate with "Use Media Brwoser to locate files" checked calls up Media Browser to search for offline files. When you have navigate to a folder in the tree on the left side of the Media Browser window where you know the files to be inside, pushing the Search with "Display Only Exact Name Matches" checked results in Media Browser indicating it has found the file, but the file display window on the right side of the screen does not show the found results. You still have to navigate directly to that file. I believe this became an issue somewhere in 24.x, I just don't know where. I'm currently on 24.3, running Mac OS Ventura 13.6.7 on a Mac Studio M1 Ultra. This problem also occurs on my laptop at home, Ventura 13.6.7 MacBook Pro M1 Max. Pictures below show the problem.
I have this weird issue lately, whenever I have the Audio track mixer or effects control visible on the second monitor, the timeline performance drops massively but the preview looks just fine, It doesn't matter what effects you have running on the Audio track mixer or effects control, please address this issue because its quite annoying some times,
Hello, I have a 608 caption track on the sequence. I want to export and have the captions embedded into the file (not burned or sidecar). I export it as a MXF OP1a and under the captions tab select "Embed in Output File". When I play it in VLC I see no 608 captions. I've compared the file with other 608 captioned files I have, and those files have 608 embedded on VLC streams (under codec information) but my file does not. Anyone have any ideas as to what is happening here? Thanks so much.
I have gotten into MAJOR trouble with a client that expected source files for their TVC, because Premiere Pro 24.4.1 (Build 2) on Windows 11 did not collect audio files that were nested, while checking the "Exclude Unused Clips" checkbox. Using "Exclude Unused Clips" is absolutely essential to ensure that only relevant project files are included, however Premiere Pro excluded used audio clips, and in my case they were nested within the main sequences collected. In the snapshot, Social 01 and Video 01 were selected, and they include one or more sequences which should be included if used, however upon collect, the nested sequences are blank, and without any missing file error. At least if there was a missing file error, it would help to indicate the error, however it just excludes the nested audio and thinks it has done a successful collect. This is 100% a bug as it has happened more than once, and on completely different projects with completely different files.
I'm working in a 1920x1080p sequence. Whenever I drag a clip, delete a clip or delete the empty space between clips I get the "spinning wheel of death". I have to wait for like 3 seconds and then the action is executed. Although it's only 3 seconds, I need to make thousands of movements and deletions in my timeline, so it's not ideal. I've already tried commonly recommended solutions such as: restarting my computer, updating PremierePro to the latest version, deleting media cache, copying and pasting the clips onto a new sequence, etc. Strangely, this lag only occurs in this specific sequence. I tried performing the cutting/deleting/moving actions on another sequence and it ran smoothly. These are my specs:Computer: 16 inch MacBook ProOS: Sonoma 14.4.1Processor: 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9Graphics 1: AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 4 GBGraphics 2: Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MBRAM: 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4Sotrage: 1 TB (267 GB available)PremierePro version: 24.4.1 (Build 2)&n
Minor issue, but for a while now Premiere has been artificially cutting off text for projects and files in both the project window and the productions window. I've attached a relevant screenshot that shows the final character in the project being cut off. I've seen this occur in a number of projects I've started as well. Not sure how to trigger it or if it's intended, but it's definitely weird to see the cut off despite there being plenty of room. Running on Windows 10 (19045.4412) and Premiere Pro 24.4.1 (Build 2) with the latest Nvidia Drivers (555.99) though this issue has been occuring for at least 6 months now over multiple driver and program updates. Literally all I do is open a project and it sometimes happens. Not the biggest deal, but a bug's a bug.
Okay I believed that I just got a auto massage that told me to be more specific about this probelm. 🙂 First to all, dear empolyees I am Carter, and this is all I want to show you how I manage to found this bug. Second, I am not a native speaker, therefore please forgive my grammer or else. Last but not least, at this time I am not expeccing a immediate fix, I think it's impossible, because there is much more problem in premiere pro. 🙂 Here is my PC and Monitor Pr Version: 24.4.1 Platform: Windows11 (Version:22H2 with lastest update) CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9400F CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz GPU: Nvidia Geforce2060 Super Driver: Nvidia Geforce Experience Game Ready version 555.99Ram: 16GB Monitor1:ASUS VG27QAL1A 2560x1440 144.01Hz (HDR supported) Monitor2:ASUS VP247 1920x1080 60Hz (HDR NOT supported)HDR Settings: Default expect some modify from "Windows HDR Calibration"(Don't Tell me to provide setting Detail, there is only On/Off in System panel) Premiere Se

Hey Guys,I have reInstalled lots of versions of Premiere and the problem still goes on>When I export H.264, I found it always have some part of the video and audio, show up in the wrong time or disappear. Wierdly, the corrupt part will be different each time I exported. The footage I use is only one sequence. I have work for the same projects for many years, and didn't occur this kind of problem before. I am wondering if it cause by my Hardware or Premiere bug?
Is there a way to remove the audio enhance progress bar that appears on your audio showing the percentage left? I'm not sure who thought of this but it gets in the way when trying to make another adjustment to the audio like make a new cut in it
I'm having issues with my conform. Clips that have been interpreted from 48fps to 24fps (via modify > interpret footage) don't translate correctly in the xml export. I know this because when I import the xml back into Premiere the clips don't match - they are now 48fps again. Clips left at 48fps do match however. Interestingly... when I take the the re-imported problematic clip and interpret it to 24fps again, it then matches. We are using Da Vinci Resolve for the conform. Any advice on how to get my xml working the first time around?

I am editing 4k footage and have an adjustment layer with a mask path. I'm editing the mask path frame by frame. All effects except the adjustment layer are turned off to help performance. Sometimes when editing the path either PP fails to render or completely crashes. The crashes seem to occur when deleting vertex on the mask shape. Failure to render occurs when adjusting vertex on the mask shape. I DO currently have on GPU acceleration. GPU is a 3080ti. PP version 24.3.0 build 59Windows 10
This happened before, seems to be back. V. 24.4.1 on Windows When I am in "Vertical Mode" if I turn on "Filler", then make a cut - either via the Text, or by CTRL-K, the head will jump forward 1:00 minute or better. It usually moves the timeline too far ahead for me to just click back. Even the text is too far forward to just click back to where I was. So1. Edit video with Text2. Select "Filler"3. Cut out any part of video4. head jumps forward.
Today I've updated premiere to the latest version but after update subtitles that working before is not showing in program monitor. Is something changed and I need to enable something?

Also the project is concverted from older to new version, and worked fine for a day but then the crash came up. Also already restarted computer ect. Any help would be really appreciated, kind rega
Hi,I recently had some issues with my PP and my PC with PP crashing and the PC BSODs. I was unable to resolve this so I had to format and install a new PP. While some of the previous install issues were resolved on the new Win 10 - PP still crashes (not all the time but several times a day usually during playback or preview render and I also had at least one BSOD when working on PP). I suspect that this is either some software or plugin conflict or more likely hardware related but I don't know which part and since this is a new and very high-end PC I am not going to start buying and replacing every component so I need to figure out which component is behind this. Here is the latest PP crash report - is there somebody who can go over it and give me some insights into what made PP crash? (I have a few others if this helps).https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/waqmd9xrrfrnomu8y8d25/fa3941d1-23d9-48ab-b55d-a39097e14b1a.dmp?rlkey=xy1cou9b7lcnpdygrdmjfo3jz&dl=0 The previous disc
Respect,I haven't contacted you in a long time, everything was ok until version 24.4.1...as I wrote in the header...some projects crashes in the new version on opening, and some don't...those that crashes, version 24.3 opens the normal one.. ..I sent the report...thanks....
MacbookAir M1 2020PremierePro ver 23.6.5
Hi! I frequently use "Add [color] marker" to clips on an assigned keyboard shortcut, while editing a feature length. Love the workflow. But on clips in a Sequence that are Merged the action only adds a standard Green colored marker - whichever button i press. I found that it works as intended in the Source-monitor but when it updates to the clip on the timeline it shows up as green. When I manually move the marker just a bit in the Source-monitor it updates to the right color on the clip in the Timeline. So i figured it must be a bug and not a weird feature. Please if this can be adressed in future updates I'd be very happy.
