I'm working on a music video project and today the main project file stopped opening. Every time I try I get this error: “The project appears to be damaged, it cannot be opened.” Every auto-save version I try is also giving the same error. I’ve tried opening in an older version (25.2.3), resetting the preferences, and importing the projects/sequences into a new blank project. I looked into the different XML repair tools online but didn’t find a clear path or anything that worked.I exported what I had at the halfway point as a flattened video/stem so I at least have something to continue from. That’s usable, but I’d much rather recover the actual sequence/project if possible (to preserve cuts, nested edits, layer structure, etc.). If someone is willing to look at the corrupted .prproj and autosave files, I can share the file. Even just knowing whether it’s salvageable would help me decide how much to rebuild vs start over from the exported video. System / context:Ado
Hello Adobe Community, I'm having a reoccuring issue where every time I move the playhead and press play, it takes a full 10 seconds for playback to occur. I can playback a sequence in full if I don't stop it. But if I press play and then soon after press stop, pressing play (even though the playhead hasn't been moved) requires another 10 seconds before it continues. I can watch the sound level meter bounce around at 1 frame every 3 seconds until it starts moving 10 seconds later. So it seems like premiere is requesting playback from a drive that doens't have the HDD needle in the right place, based on where the playhead is. It's almost as if it's getting reset or having to search for the files, only moments after playing them. For example, if I play 5 seconds of a sequence, and then go back 5 seconds and press play, Premiere takes about 9.5 seconds before it starts playing. In the past, I could move the playhead back to the start of the sequence and immediately achieve seemless pl
I've tried various settings and problem solving such as changing video format file but I keep having problems with the following issue. Everytime when I try to import a video file made with a DJI drone (M350 with a Zenmuse H30T camera) I get the following error: "The file has an unsupported compression type". I've already tried changing the videosettings of the camera (H264 and H265), changing the bitrate, changing the resolution,... but still keep getting the error. Even in Media encoder I get the same error. If I transcode with VLC player I can import the transcoded versions and I have my video files but this is so time consuming.... All drivers and software are updatet to the latest versions.
If I customize my workspace/window layout, it takes 3-5 minutes for the Export window to open when I go to File/Export Media. However, there is no issue if I use one of the default Workspace layouts. I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro 2025 version 25.3.0 (Build 84)...why is that?Sree
Premier closes when using subtitle search. I tried entering Russian and English letters in the search field. When entering English letters, it does not crash, but when entering Russian letters and a period in the English layout, the program closes and offers to send a report. I tried deleting program data, it does not help. The subtitle file was made in Premiere 25.3/25.4 version, not imported. It contains 990 subtitles. If the track with signatures contains few subtitles, it does not crash.I am sending a link to the dump https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/17X4tIvVCPs_I8sprEJJtAajMQHhnqj-k?usp=drive_linkI hope this helps. It seems that the uxp panel is overloaded, but when creating subtitles for films, there will be about 1.5 times more subtitles or even more. Still, it is usually more convenient to make subtitles in Premiere than in a third-party program, you can quickly move all the subtitles on the timeline at once.Steps to reproduce the problem:1. creating or importing a track
I searched and searched and every solution i found was only temporary, and i am getting so. unbelievably. sick. of. it. every time i import a new audiotrack (.wav) into my project and try to use it on my timeline i get no waveform. the track works, audio works, but it just wont show me the waveform. i did all the usual suspects, "show waveform" ,"generate waveform", deleting cache usually does the trick but only when i delete - close programm - reopen, that just cant be the solution, i tried updating to the newest version, i tried deleting peakfiles from appdata, i tried mp3 tracks, i tried over rightclick -> import instead of drag and drop and im really getting sick of it happening over and over again, does anyone has a solid, longterm solution to this? i dont want to delete my cache every 5 minutes.
There's a really annoying bug in Premiere Pro - that doesn't allow me to track when blurring footage. I create a mask and when I click on the track button - nothing seem to happen and no progress is going forward. I'm afraid it's not really something that can be fixed by clearing cache or playing with the settings, it's a bug that I've encountered a few times and definitely requires more advanced fixing. A picture is attached below:
I opened my film project id been editing for days and now audio is all out of sync, and when I tried replacing its putting the wrong audios to sync. I have these diagnal lines through the audio all over the film. This just happened as soon as premiere updated yesterday! How do I fix this?
For the clips with proxies, you can't view the Duration in Info panel. See the pictures. Premiere Pro v. 25.2.1
Hi! The program monitor flickers when I play the footage at 2x the speed and more. Doesn't matter if the resolution is at Full or 1/4. Same thing happens if it's only 1 camera/clip playing. Hello,I am currently using Adobe Premiere Pro version 25.2.3.For the past two to three weeks, I have been encountering a recurring issue when exporting videos longer than 15 to 20 minutes. Each time I attempt to export longer videos — whether through Premiere Pro directly or via Media Encoder — the application closes unexpectedly without any error message, and the export process fails.Shorter videos (under 20 minutes) still export successfully.I would like to point out that:Everything was working perfectly before with the same export settings.I primarily produce podcast episodes that typically last between 1.5 to 2.5 hours.I had no export issues prior to the past few weeks.I have not changed my workflow, export presets, or system setup. This issue appeared suddenly and has been consistent since then.Could you please assist me in resolving this problem?Thank you in advance for your help.Best regards,Olivier
Hello, This morning, Adobe automatically updated my Premiere Pro to its newest version (PP 25.0) and I've encountered an audio glitch that's been happening. At first, I thought my headphones were causing the problem, but in Premiere's audio hardware settings - everything is routed to the correct input/output. The Problem: When I click on the timeline and press play on my video clip with edited audio, the quality is lost compared to what it should sound like. Then when I tested another audio source (from Spotify or a YouTube video in Chrome) the same poor quality is reflecting all of my audio sources on my computer. I did another test of restarting Premiere Pro, unplugging and plugging my headphones back into my computer, and I got the same result. Looking for some guidance to see if anyone else has this problem but I'm going to check with my IT department to see if they have any ideas on how to resolve this. Basic info from Guideli
I just moved to 25.4 after holding back on 25.2 for a while. I've got a couple posts about some of these new program monitor changes, like Toggle Direct Manipulation keyboard shortcut not working UNLESS the Program Monitor is active. But now there's a new issue, the Zoom Program Monitor to Fit keyboard shortcut ONLY works if the Program Monitor is NOT active. Basically, you need to fix these two things. Zoom Program Monitor to Fit keyboard shortcut needs to work when Program Monitor is active panel.Toggle Direct Manipulation needs to be something you can turn on and off WITHOUT needing to have the Program Monitor be the active panel.
This has happened multiple times and I don’t have a fix that isn’t manually aligning. For example, I import a 10 minute talking head segment. When imported, the transcript is automatically created. I bring the video into a sequence and begin removing chunks. When I get down to the details, I ripple edit and remove all pauses. I go to look at the captions and perhaps due to all the fine ripple edits(talking a few frames) all the timecode for the transcript is off and there’s no way to have it reanalyze the transcript, as the re-trascribe is unavailable when the transcript is autocreated when the file was originally imported. This issue compounds when a new sequence is created, or auto reframe is used. The auto transcribe tool needs to have the ability to update within the sequence and update the timecode for the captions, as it currently drifts.I edit off of a MacBook Pro M1 with 16gb of ram
Greetings community, ISSUESince the update to version 25.2, Premiere Pro immediately fails when trying to render any section on the timeline, as well as attempting to export directly from premiere pro with (CUDA) renderer. It will also fail when project is sent to media encoder to for rendering. The only way I can get Premiere Pro and/or media encoder to successfully render is via OpenCL (almost twice the rendering time). TROUBLESHOOTING:Rolled back to version 25.1 (along with Media encoder) and attempted to render same project files via CUDA - this also failed. I suspect its because said project file was saved as 25.2 version....so I tried an old 25.1 project file - and it appears to be working as intended as my render is not failing immediately. RESULTS:Successful render with CUDA after rolling back to 25.1 of both Premiere Pro and Media encoder. Will attempt to create/render a fresh new project and see if error persist...will circle back...but so far i
Since updating from 25.2 to 25.4, there is some new odd behavior happening with small audio tracks. I detailed everything in my video below, but the highlights are: When small tracks are in your timeline, if you ENABLE Show Audio Clip Header on Small Tracks, you can no longer see the Audio Transition handles. You now have to keep Audio Clip Header turned off, which means that you cannot see audio clip names on small tracks. Please review and revert the behavior back to 25.2, this was okay if you aren't going to fix some of the general UI issues with the way these clip headers work now (which stinks, I have a feature request about that somewhere buried in here). Hope this video helps! https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/9zl40v26zt23l84yl8bwr/250902_Audio-Clip-Header-on-Small-Tracks.mov?rlkey=0uyy005w9ml0ktygz0237y915&dl=0
I have a number of videos using the Turbulent Displace effect. Suddenly all my projects have a broken effect, even older ones that rendered successfully just one week ago with version 25.2.3 (build 4). Basically, applying this Turbulent Displace effect to a clip now causes the clip to jump around and resize as the effect parameters are changed. Also, all the edges of the clip are 100% digital noise/distortion. I tried deleting all the cache files to no effect. Loading old projects now have the bug during scrubbing, not just during render. I reverted to 25.2.3(4) and everything is fine. I'll stick with this version for now. The attached image shows the settings for the clip and the Turbulent Displace effect. Some parts of it are fine, but as the clip progresses thru the keyframes for Amount and Evolution, it starts randomly glitching and misplacing.I did not change my video card (4070 Super) drivers related to when this problem started.
I have been racking my brain about this and trying everything I can find. I suddenly cannot export via PP or Media Encoder when using Hardware Encoding. - All drivers up to date- All preferences have been reset- Trying this from a computer restart and doing nothing else on my computer I can disable Hardware encoding in Preferences and export using Software only in Adaptive High just fine. Perhaps this is just a post for others also getting frustrated by the sudden failure of Hardware encoding, but why would it suddenly do this? How would we even find information on why the Hardware encoding would be incompatable? This is all the context I get- Encoding Time: 00:00:2908/29/2025 08:43:35 AM : Encoding Failed------------------------------------------------------------A low-level exception occurred in: H.264 (Exporter:9)Export ErrorError compiling movie.Export ErrorA low-level exception occurred.Writing with exporter: H.264Writing to file: ...-hi-1920.mp4Around timecode
I currently have an AMD 5800x CPU and a RTX 5060 GPU and trying to edit HEVC/H.265 10-bit 4:2:2 footage from my Canon R6 Mark II. Playback is super smooth for the first 7-8 seconds with premiere pro utilizing about 50-60% of the gpu for playback. However, after the first 7-8 seconds, GPU utilization drops to about 10% or less and the footage becomes incredibly choppy and difficult to navigate. I am not sure why the GPU utilization decides to drop to 10% or less when it was running well before hand. Temperatures seem to be very stable and neither the GPU or CPU or drawing a lot of power.
Adobe premiere pro no abre en mi computador y esta todo cancelado
During playback, I'm sporatically getting an extremely loud screeching/static noise from some clips, even though they've played back normally for weeks. Example video is attached. (TURN VOLUME DOWN BEFORE WATCHING)My computer volume was set as low as possible so you can imagine how jarring it is when it happens at full volume. This is reminiscent of the Adobe/Mac blown speaker issue back in 2019. Troubleshooting -- It does not happen everytime. But it will happen playing back in both the timeline and the source monitor.- The specific audio file that's causing issues currnetly is a 44khz stereo WAV file, so I've tried replacing it with multiple variations (48khz stereo, 48khz mono, AIFF, etc) and no change. You can see the audio mixer levels show peaking happening only on one audio channel (in this mono version, it's on the empty one but it happened on the stereo version too). - I emptied my cache/pek files, no luck. - I went to A
Issue – After installing Premiere Pro to my new PC, when I try to add any clip to the timeline, it crashes. This is for a new project as well as the previous projects. Kindly note, I've checked and updated all the drivers for GPU and PC.Steps to reproduce – Create a new project, import any video to the project, drag and drop the video to timeline Expected result – it should not crash after adding the video to the timeline and allow me to work and edit.Actual result – Premiere Pro crashes and when I reopen it the same happens when I try to add a clip to the timelineScreen recording – attached screen recordingAdobe Premiere Pro version – V25.2.3 (Build 4)Operating system – Windows 11 x64GPU driver version (Windows only) – Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPUVideo format – Mp4 video formatComparative information- all projects, new or old
Premiere Pro 25.4.1, Windows 11, german localisation Premiere Pro doesn't show underscore characters in some parts of the user interface. The underscores are there. They just show up as blank spaces. Affected areas are the File Name field of the Export tab or the Graphics tab in the Text window. In the Graphics tab the underscores are just hidden while editing a text. If the text isn't in edit mode, the underscores show up. Exported files are named correctly including underscore character. And graphics contain all typed underscores. I first noticed this behaviour after upgrading to 25.4. I tried changing screen resolution and scaling but the problem stayed.
