Hi,Since updating to Premiere Pro v24.5 or v24.6, my RTX 4060 Ti is hitting 85°C+ and causing freezes and crashes — only with Premiere. My setup is strong (i9-10850K, 40GB RAM, 5 screens, proper cooling), and no other software shows this issue. Please escalate this urgently — the problem seems related to GPU acceleration in the latest version.Nono – Pro user blocked by an overheated update 🔥
I have a team project where all file names have been copied and renamed due to duplicate names. I have the old footage on my drive and don't want to delete it until I know that all files work (premiere gave me issues with some of them).I just tried to reconnect all of the hundreds of clips. For the first clips, Premiere Pro found the correct files in the folder after I clicked the first one. But the the majority, I had to go over each single clip and connect it "by hand". Each time I clicked search, it immediately found the file with the corresonding name. It just didnt want to connect it automatically. After this long and tedious process, I just noticed that premiere pro began to connect to the old files again without my consent. Now, all the files are connected to the wrong files again. Why? It doesn't make any sense and it drives me mad.Why would it reconnect to some other file although the file has already been linked?I also noticed that onedrive began to download files for some
Premiere 25.2.1 Build 2 - Speed change issues have plagued premiere for a long time but this latest took me over the edge. The problem happens when trying to replicate frame exact speed changes when conforming a project by taking it from proxies to online resolution. AFAIK speed ramps have never been totally frame accurate but now this affects also linear speed changes. This is a huge problem when having to create frame accurate online versions of projects that get a/b checked for quality by clients such as studios. Here is a simple example from this weekend: A clip with a linear speed change of 175 %. The clip gets replaced with an almost identical version (same length, same time code, just higher resolution). The new clip is at 175% but the frames are not identical. It's a short clip of under 10 frames, so rounding errors should be minimal but what really gets me is - the start frame is off. There is no reason for the start frame to be different. This happens when overcutting, but al
Hey guys, I’m using the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro and I’ve noticed an issue with the automatic filler word removal feature. When I generate an English transcript using the built-in Speech to Text tool, filler words like “uh,” “um,” and “you know” are detected and I can easily remove them using the Delete button from the Transcript panel. However, when working with Italian transcriptions, Premiere correctly identifies filler words (they appear as “[…]”), but the Delete button is greyed out and I can’t remove them automatically. This is very inconvenient because I often work with content in Italian and would love to streamline the editing process just like I do with English.Questions:• Is this feature currently only supported for English?• Is there a workaround to enable filler word removal in Italian?• If not yet available, is there a plan to support this for other languages, or can this be submitted as a feature request? Thanks in advance!
My Premiere Pro is updated to the latest version. I usually edit 1080p 50fps videos and have edited quite heavy content on my current laptop (ASUS Zenbook) which is new by the way. I don't know what's wrong but recently after opening Premiere for a couple of minutes it starts to freeze and a pop up screen would appear to send/don't send report and my Premiere has to force shut. However everytime I open back Premiere, the interface runs smoothly, no lag but somehow would freeze for a second after a few minutes and my Premiere would crash. I also tried clearing the cache, third party plugins, uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing works. On a side note: I tried opened Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, Figma and Photoshop at the same time and everything seems to be working well. What could be the issue? It's been very frustrating cause I am a student and I'm in the midst of my final year projects. Laptop SpecsIntel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 7 258V 2
I’ve been trying to edit a super simple video for the past three weeks, just basic cuts, no effects, and Premiere won’t work. Every time I open the project, it runs for a few seconds and then completely freezes. Sometimes it goes “not responding” and I have to force quit. Other times it stays open but nothing works. I can’t open the source monitor, can’t switch workspaces properly, and the timeline doesn’t respond.I formatted my PC, reinstalled Premiere several times in different languages, started new projects from scratch, tried importing the old one, cleared all caches and plugins, upgraded to 32GB RAM. Nothing changes. It’s only Premiere. Everything else on the PC works fine. The videos were recorded on an Insta360 camera, normal resolution. I’ve edited way heavier files before and never had problems like this.At this point I can’t even take screenshots because the app freezes so quickly. I have no idea what else to do. Anyone got a fix?I even tried rendering this sequence to MP4 ju
Over the past years, I've become extremely frustrated with Premiere. The only thing that's kept me hanging on (by a thread at this point) is the suite of products that I have been using for decades. I'm tempted to switch to Resolve daily now though. I guess I'll share my most recent struggles with Premiere...1) I made the swtich to use Premiere Beta - since that is the only version of Premiere that seems to playback our new Canon R5c RAW footage in a way that doesn't make you want to scream. Seems like Adobe has acknowledged that they're addressing the issue, but in true Premiere fashion, way too slowly. This happened with BRAW footage too. Took Adobe WAY too long to support that format. 2) In Premiere Beta, audio playback has all kinds of issues. AUDIO PLAYBACK! What. On. Earth. Hasn't this been functional forever? How did this break? I'm running a top of the line Mac Studio. There is no way that the system can't handle the simple audio playback in my projects. Only se
I’m using a MacBook Pro with the M3 Pro chip. When I started editing my first video in Premiere Pro — a simple 4K 10-bit S-Log video — I noticed that the performance was lagging, even though I only added four text layers. I checked the CPU usage and found it to be low, doesn't go above 20% but the video is so lagging specail after using replace with after effect option to make and effect for part of the video so I’m not sure why Premiere Pro is struggling with such a basic project or my new mac have problem??
When working in more than one project, I will see the following things occur: 1. Titles of projects will get mixed up with one another, I'll click into a project and make edits and the name of the project will change to the name of an already existing project in the midst of these edits and things will start to get mixed up ?2. In-progress projects will be completely empty, even when saved correctly to the correct place, when exiting the application and then re-opening it (Expected result: I am able to return to the project where I left off), this has caused me to lose hours of important work.3. When on the application for a certain amount of time, distortions will occur (ex. my audio sounds fine in the file queue but sounds like a phone call when placed into the project, there are no effects or changes done to this audio) Now, all of my project files are either empty or mixed up, which is frustrating since I've been saving them under their respective names in the proper plac
Once my sequence is over a few minutes (admittedly with several video layers & effects) Premiere is lagging - sometimes not responding when moving playhead to a different part of the sequence. Or not responding to the playbar. Offline media is H.264.mp4 in a variety of frame sizes. 5000+ clips. The show is comprised entirely of stock footage). I'm applying ’Scale to frame size’ - so clips fit the timeline. All media results in a yellow warning render bar. Working in a Premiere Production - with separate projects for the different string outs, 'bins' of media and different project files for my cuts.Working from with long string outs of media. Editing into my edit sequences (which are in separate projects). I'm worried I'm having performance issues - working on short sequences. Eventually I'll be working with a 50 min sequence. Sequence settings 1920x1080. I was advised to change my Preview codec to Apple ProRes Proxy. (Should I try Apple ProR
I downloaded a video from YouTube that I wanted to use for a video essay project. Downloaded it in 1080p resolution, and double checked it on Windows Media Player. Video works fine, looks fine, sounds fine. I upload it to use in Premiere, and suddenly the resolution has shrunk to possibly less than 144p, and the audio is about a second ahead the video. I don't understand. Even in the preview tab in Premiere, the video and audio are de-synced. All this leads me to believe Premiere doesn't like something about this video specifically. Not sure what to do. Any help is welcome. Thanks.
Hey everybody. I have the following issue: I transcribed a video in Chinese. The transcript shows the text with all punctuation. If I now create a Caption within premiere it loses all punctuation. This also happens in Japanese and Korean, but not in German or English. Those are the languages I tested, since they are relevant to me at the moment. I am running:M1 Mac Studio os14.7 (23H124), System Language GermanPremiere Pro Version 25.3.0, Application Language English Does someone have a similar issue? Looking forward to some answers. If I forgot to provide any critical information, please let me know.
So my playhead is stuttering when i play the video. It used to work so perfectly but now its not.I tried:Downloading new graphics driversclearing out cacheuninstalling then reinstalling the whole program and none of those workedNow something worked which is unlocking the timeline, but i really prefer to keep it locked and even after unlocking it, it still lagged a bit. My specs: Core i7 10700, RTX 4060Ti, 16 Gb of ram. Windows 11I don't use heavy footage, just some 1080p 60 FPS gameplay that i capture with xbox game bar. I've been doing this for a year and a half now. and i've been using Premiere pro 2025 since it came out and i've countered no problems like that.
Exporting SRT caption files from either the export tab, the file-export-captions or the Text panel, captions tab, will export all caption clips for the active caption track, also all disabled caption clips. This works as expected with burn-in captions via the export tab, and also used to work as exptected for SRT files in older Premiere versions (just tested the last released 2024 and that also have the problem😵) 1. Generate a static transcript for a timeline via the Text panel in the transcribe tab2. Create captions to a caption track from the transcriped text3. Disabled a couple of the caption clips4. export the timeline via the export tab and make sure to enable captions and set it to "Create Sidecar File" and SRT file5. exportWhat should have happened?A exported video and a srt file with only the enabled captions included. What actually happened? All captions in the timeline is in the srt, both enabled and disabled... not what should happen.
1. Export polywav audio file from severl mono audio tracks from Tentacle sync studio 2. Import into premiere3. Premiere displays incorrect FPS metadata as well as inaccurate TC (displays as 00:00:00:00) - File was exported as 23.98, yet it is displayed as 29.97 in premiere - File's timecode starts at 12:52:49:00 yet is displayed as 00:00:00:004. Timeline does not show individual track names that are written into polywav file When compared to the latest version of Davinci resolve (screenshots below) it shows accurate FPS, Timecode, as well as the individual track names displayed on the timeline when using the same file. Windows 11 Pro/24H2Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700KF CPUNvidia RTX3080
It seems I can nolonger use the same shortcut for multiple panels since updating to Premiere 25.3. I'm specifically trying to get the zoom-to-fit shortcut working how it used to. In 25.2.3 and previous versions, I was able to use shift+z to zoom-to-fit the program monitor, the player monitor and the sequence panel all with this one shortcut, depending on which panel was selected. Since updating to 25.3, in the keyboard shortcuts menu, these functions are now all listed under "Application" as opposed to under the various panel sections, meaning Premiere now tells me "that shortcut is already in use by another function" when I try to fix this problem. It now wants my to use three different shortcuts for what was previously one. I sincerely hope this is a bug and not a concious decission made by Adobe.
Please improve text based editing selection! Approximately, 6 months ago after the Premiere Pro update the selection of the text became awful. When I select the text I want to remove, the app unslecting it. This problem not only on Windows 11 but also on Mac version. I recorded video, as you can see when Premiere Pro can't select text and then it fast reload the text panel (like Chrome page reload). In order to select the text, I should do that very smooth and slow but previosly it wasn't a case.
Adjusting the values of any audio effects while the multicam view is active causes the multicam view to freak out (I think the program monitor is just refreshing for every value change or something? which might make sense for video effects, but an audio effect change shouldn't force refresh the program monitor) which while just a nuesence on smaller projects/sequences, can create a tonne of lag on larger ones, often resulting in the user needing to wait around for the program monitor to flash tens of times before the user can move on. (it's caused me to crash before on a rather large sequence)To recreate this issue, simply open up the multicam viewer, add an audio effect to a clip (I know reverb and denoise 100% cause this issue), then watch the program monitor start flashing like crazy as you're adjusting values. - I've only been able to test this on windows so unsure currently if the issue is reflected on macOS.- This issue happens on 25.0 -> 25.3. Pretty sure this has been h
I am having a problem with Dynamic link, on MacOS. I edit video footage in Premiere and create graphics in After Effects. I've been using Dynamic Link for years and it's been great. I can make small adjustments to my AE composition and see the changes immediately in my Premiere timeline. (This part still works.)However, when I click on the composition in the Premiere timeline and select Edit Original, it opens in AE but not at the correct position in the timeline. (It simply opens the comp to the position it was last viewed in AE.)I've searched thoroughly for information on this issue and I've tried everything that's been suggested but without any success. I had hoped that updating everything, including my MacOS would finally fix the problem but it has not.I first encountered the problem on my MacBook Pro M1Max running CC 2024 After not being able to resolve it with updates, I fired up my M1 MacMini, updated the MacOS and the Adobe Creative Suite. I then created co
Playback stops working altogether. All works smoothly for a few minutes but then I press spacebar to play the timeline and it doe not start. The play buttons in the source and record monitor panels do not work either. The issue is consistently triggered by switching to another app then back to Premiere but the issue has also occured when I have not switched out of Premiere at all It is not a choppy playback/performance issue, I'm currently only editing with audio files (.wav, .mp3 and .m4a). Fix suggestions I have tried that have failed to work for me: - Playing with the Audio Hardware settings (switching to different outputs, switching back etc).- Clearing Media Cache- Resetting Preferences- Resetting Workspace- Unistalling and reinstalling- Restarting my laptop- Praying The issue occurs with v25.2.1 and v 24.6.5. Any help would be much appreciated! Macbook Pro 16-inch, 2019AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536
When downloading MOGRTs from Adobe Stock or other websites, many of the MOGRTs will glitch the text. It appears to be rapidly changing the font. Some MOGRTs are fine, but the majority are giving me issues. I've attached an example. Steps: Download any MOGRT from Adobe Stock Install it Witness the glitch What should happen: The text shouldn't change. What does happen: The text rapidly changes over and over. No 3rd party plugins installed. Mac Sonoma 14.5.1, Apple M3 Max, 36 GB memory.
When importing XDcam footage, there's audio on the clips for a moment, then there isn't. 1. Import XDcam clips 2. Start editing 3. Audio on those clips no longer plays after a minute or so. I restart Premiere and get audio back for another few minutes. Exporting media will not include the audio. The clip even has audio waveforms, but nothing plays.
Edit Original function has changed or is broken. the edit original function is a tool that I use more than any other tool in Premiere. I am an editor who works with peripheral applications such as After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator. When I Edit Original on a rendered clip from an After Effects program, as long as the clip name is the same as the composition it was rendered from, Premiere will open that exact After Effects composition. That has all changed to where now, it can only be a dynamically linked comp in Premiere in order to perform this function correctly. Now, (since updating) If I Edit Original on a rendered clip, Premiere will open Quicktime. This, as you may be aware, is extremely counter-intuative. Because I work with several editors and assistant editors on my projects, I cannot use linked comps. They absolutely must be rendered out before putting them in Premiere because of the compatibility problems associated with dynamic lin
