The toolbar that used to be on top on the left is now on the right side. Is there a way to move it back? I have low vision and it is hard for me to see the toolbard on the right side. Thanks

I am hoping this would be easy to implement but it would be really helpful if Heal and Clone looked different when using the spot removal tool. Whether it's the colour of the sampler or shape, it doesn't matter. In my use case, I've just gone through 28 photos(thank God I realised before going through the lot) with about 20 spots each and then realised that I was using clone all along. Now having to go back through those 28 photos(X20 plus spots)
I have installed adobe bridge on my imac and macbook pro. when I use select subject mask tool on my imac, it work fine. but with the same photo try on my macbook pro it mask very poorly. I have reinstalled the mac os but it did't work. so I did mac facotry reset and reinstalled the bridge but still doesn't work. I have talked to the adobe customer servise, they couldn't find the solution. does any one know how to fix?
Hi all, There appears to be an issue with my .XMP sidecars not applying to my raw images. The process has always been seamless for me. Open all my images into photoshops raw window, make my edits, and then those edits are saved as the .xmp so I always have each images edit saved. I went to open my images today, and all my sliders are set back to 0, even though each image I have edited still shows an .XMP file next to each one as if the edit was saved. Can anyone provide some insight as to what might be going on? Thank you so much! I'm using the most current versions of all Adobe apps and am running Mac OS 11.6.8. I'll attach a couple screen shots as well to try to help.
Hi folks,it feels wierd but something that should be very easy is not.Is there still a way to load XMP presets into ACR and show them as a separate folder instead of accessing them from the User Presets folder in Acr?I tried both loading them from Acr and pasting them in the Settings folder (osx).Thanks.
only contains a very small preview, which will not allow proper viewing from any app that uses the embedded preview. The size of this preview does not reflect the setting for the size of embedded previews. The preview size of the resulting DNG should at least contain on option to have a fullsize preview embedded and respect the overall setting for embedded previews. System: Windows 10, Applications: Camera Raw in Photoshop and Lightroom Classic
When someone sends me an NEF file along with its sidecar XMP file, the changes recorded in that XMP don't show up in ACR.My own NEF and XMP files load fine...I can load that sent file in Lighroom and the changes will show (crop, lens profiles, exposure, etc.)Any suggestions?
I'm batch processing some photos in Camera RAW (v14.5). I opened them in photoshop when I'd finished in Camera RAW and realised I forgot to crop them. I wanted the same crop for all so tried to re-open the CR2 files so the edits I'd already made would be applied and I would be able to select all, crop and be done. I noticed there was no XMP files in my folder therefore none of my edits had been saved. This has always been automatic in every version of Camera RAW I've used so not sure why it's not doing it now.I've turned on 'Always use sidecar XMP files' in Photoshop preferences (Photoshop / Preferences / Camera Raw / File Handling) and restarted the computer and the issue still remains. Can anyone offer any suggestions on how to fix this? Cheers,Krystian
I used to be able to grab a gradient tool to select a sky, or a ceiling on my Real Estate photos to apply levels or desaturation, etc. I no longer am able to find this feature in latest Photoshop version, 25.5.xI do not want to make a gradient from a dark to light color, just highlight an area to work on that selection. Any help greatly appreciated.Alexander
Hi I wonder how I can open my NEF-files in my old CS4. I have since 2012worked in creative cloud but I have now retirered and thought I could use my old CS4 I bought in 2009. Everything works all wright except from opening the NEF-files from my Nikon D5000.I did open them in my CS4 in 2011 How do I uppdate the reading of NEF-files in CS4? I have tried with later versions of Cameroon Raw but I believe they are too modern for the CS4. Where do I find the upgrade Camera raw 5.7. [Moderator moved the thread to the correct forum]
After the new update for camera raw, The ( Select rated ) option disappeared and it was so helpful to meto select 10 stared images of 500 by a click , now I have to select them one by one and this is hard and sometimes I miss click and I have to repeat the process again. Do you have any idea how to reach it if it still exists? please do not tell me that you remove this amazing feature.
I am working with a Nikon 850. I shoot in highest quality raw images but am confused about two things: 1) raw seems designed to make global changes to an image. I have posted an image to illustrate. Because I shoot into mirrors different parts of the frame have different exposures. I had hoped to be able to avoid Photoshop but from what I gather raw is what I work with first before I open Photoshop and make local edits. Is that true? Secondly I often stack images because with parts of my scene having different focal lengths, I need to align and blend them. What is the work flow? Do I open the different images in Photoshop, align and blend and THEN use the raw filter?
Hi, Hi, I'm having an issue with the DNG Converter Utility. The Preferences dialog box isn't displaying correctly. I can't enlarge it or scroll to reach the bottom of the dialog to save changes. I'm running Win 11. As you can see the dialog is cut off. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
The new version of ACR and Photoshop are missing all my camera profiles, all my Raw files types, CR2, RAF, ARW and DNG(pentax 645D) all chow Matrix in the camera profile, and there's nothing you can chose instead! It happens as well on the latest version of Lightroom CC Classic. All of the show Matrix, and you can only chose Color or Monochrome, and in DNG it detects the bought profile i was using from the previous version of Lightroom CC 2015, but it says its missing and can only chose embedded or color or Monochrome. Her you can see what ACR looks like with RAF and CR2 raw files. Here is Lightroom CC Classic 7.5 With RAF, ARW, CR2 and DNG files. And here is Lightroom CC 2015 latest version The way it should look and work!Anyone has any idea whats going on???In the ACR folder of Camera Profiles i have a bunch of custom bought profiles from RNI and VSCO, and the on the Camera folder, I have a bunch of "old" cameras, conveniently non of mine! I don't have any Fuji cameras so, my X100 is n
The Help section Manage Camera Raw settings > Specify where Camera Raw settings are storedis out-of-date, describing versions earlier than 12.3 that provided a Camera Raw Database. It also mentions the Export Settings To XMP command, which appears to have been removed as well. The section also doesn't document the options for DNG File Handling > Sidecars: Always Use Sidecar XMP Files, Embed XMP In DNG, and Ignore Sidecar XMP Files. I challenge anyone to tell me the difference between the last two options (without testing). See here for my reverse-engineered documentation of those options:https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/lrc-reads-metadata-for-a-dng-from-an-associated-sidecar/m-p/13229135#M291612
everything updated to the latest version of Camera Raw and Photoshop on Windows 10 x64.opening Camera Raw as filter or plugin for RAW files doesn't matter.the Highlights slider under Basic tab has a strange behaviour, like moving the midtones too instead of only the Highlights, you can see the difference from the Highlights under the Curve tab.you can notice also the Histogram way more to the left when using the Basic/Highlights slider.is it me or something went wrong from the last update?
apparently my problem will not be solved, otherwise it doesn't seem that difficult to me, I want to work with my old ibook (which contains os 10.10.5) with a photoshop version with which I have camera raw, now it has photoshop 2017.1.5 on it; I have a creative cloud subscription and therefore this version is automatically updated, the problem is no camera raw has been updated with it. I work at home and at school with imacs with the very latest adobe software, but the ibook is handy because it has a card reader so we can immediately see the result in the studio without having to go to the computer room. so the question again "where can I find a photoshop version with a camera raw that works on my ibook"; it's not important that the latest camera and lens profiles are there and I always work with them without an internet connection; thank you
That is a beta of the OS and as such, you'll get no support from Adobe here until the final OS is released. Clearly this is an OS bug; report it to Apple.
Hello,I constantly get advertisements and tips on plug-ins for Camera Rawwhere it says something like this:We transform your photos from average to amazing in just ONE-CLICK with new AI! Has or will Camera Raw get it? Would be very good for us Creative Cloud users.Greetings,Callehttps://callelindgren.com/
I use camera raw daily while editing my real estate images. And daily, I fix the color hues reflected from the ground or outside. Orange from a wooden floor that reflect on the ceiling. Green from the leaves of the garden that reflect on the white walls or ceiling. The create a more neutral color tone, I edit them in photoshop and remove the color hues with the sponge tool. But that is a lot of extra work. In Camera RAW, the HSL and Color mixer panels can do this for a complete raw image. I would instead prefer to use radial or linear masks to do this. Is that possible now, or is there another possibility to use a mask in camera raw to edit color tones and hues? If not, where can I ask to add a radial or linear HSL mask or color mixer mask so I can remove the color hues more quickly than opening them in photoshop to Camera RAW and lightroom classic?
