I only use ACR. Don't use LR. I pre-edit in ACR and then click "open" and the file opens in PS. Well it used to. Since the latest update it now does nothing. So I have to go back to it in Bridge and click on it again, and then it re-opens it in ACR and then when I click on "open" the second time, the image opens in PS. WHY??? It's super frustrating. Never had this issue before. What has happened?
On the new 2023, after editing a photo in Camera Raw, I click open to send it to Photoshop and the edited photos reverts to the unedited version. Also I'm unable to convert it to a jpg.
Al descargar la nueva version el CRW sigue el antiguo y no el 15 aunque me dice que esta actualizado. Como lo puedo solucionar?
Paid for photo CC all year long. Finally go to use Camera Raw (what i've always used to edit photos) at the end of the year now. I edit some photos and when I saved them to .jpg they had some weird messing up of the colors. Atleast on my MacBook screen and iPhone. I realized it saved in Adobe RGB and so I switched it to srgb and then tried Mac rgb. All of them had the same problem. Mostly solid colors that ended up with blotches and a mix of color. I've. Never had this problem before ever with older versions and it makes my images look noisy and bad quality. Has anyone else had this problem or know of any solutions? I'm so frustrated that my drive to edit photos was finally awakened only to be squashed by an un-talked about error in this program that has a monopoly on photo editing. Please help me 🙏(Ps. Just to clarify these images do not look like this when I zoom in on the edit in camera raw)
Hello! I would like to create and sell a preset for Lightroom. We build on the camera profiles that Adobe Camera Raw (DCP-Files) software provides. We add tone curves etc. Now my question is whether this is OK for licensing reasons. I can't find anything on the Adobe website. Can anyone help me?Thank youTom
Post moved to the Adobe Camera Raw threads by Moderator I have worked for many years with Camera RAW and used it to correct known lens defects based on profiles supplied by the manufacturer (Canon). With the new 2023 Camera RAW when I select "Optics / Profile", I get an error message in small type: "Unable to load lens profile" and hence no correction. The Setup selection is "Defailt".
Presets saved in Camera Raw 15.0 are not preserving the actual data, seemingly at random. For example, I created some presets of some subtle color adjustments for studio work and when applied, the presets are remove all saturation and greatly increase the contrast, rending the images high contrast black and white. Not at all what I need for a project I need to get done — very frustrating. I quite and tried again and found it was changing every parameter under the basic column, even items I didn't adjust.See below for an example. The settings on the left are what was saved as a preset. The settings on the right are what results. (other paramters are affected too.) They should be identical. In its current state, this is not at all useful and is an impediment to getting work done. I've downgraded back to Camera Raw 14.5, which exhibits none of these issues, but doesn't like it when I touch the presets I created in 15. I'm running a 2020 iMac 5K with OS 12.6 and 64GB of ram. Photoshop
The ACR profile Adobe Monochrome (profile dropdown menu) isn't giving me neutral black & white from a color .DNG image i.e. equal RGB values.I checked the B&W Mixer and Clor Gradients to make sure all are 0 & no saturation. Now here is the really confusing part - sometimes it does provide a neutral RGB /Black & white image. I don't know why it does sometimes and doesn't at other times?I know there are other presets in ACR like Portraits B&W and Style B&W Any ideas. What am I missing ?Thanks(apologies if this post appears more than once. I am not seeing it after hitting the post button)
Hi guys, I have a question, can I make subject selection or eyes, mouth etc… using ACR through an action or script?Yesterday I updated my Lightroom and ACR and found amazing selection functions, I tried to write a script but to no avail.Does anyone know if it is possible to automatically update the subject selection within a script for acr?
I bought my new camera Sony A7R3A(screen-improved version of A7R3) last week which used the same sensor and processor as A7R3. But I can not open the ARW files to Photoshop with Camera Raw 13.2. I tried it in Lightroom 10.2 with ACR 13.2, but it can open neither. After searching it in the users' group of Sony A7R3A, I found that all our ACR users cannot open RAW files currently. The solution they chose was to import the RAW files into the SONY official software and convert it to TIF so that we can edit them in Photoshop. It is inconvenient and most importantly it damages the quality of images. When did you guys upgrade the ACR to support A7R3A and A7R4A by just adding one line of code of these two camera model names? 😞
i use photoshop cc 2019. When i open raw file, film strip gets to me.how can i remove acr film strip?
Using latest ACR to edit image, unable to bring it into PS due to error. See messages at 9 and 14 seconds in MOV file. When I removed the Healing Brush edit, I could import the file into PS.

Hello, Having just updated my Windows 10 laptop to the 2023 versions of PS & ACR, after processing a RAW file in ACR using any of the 3 new tabs (select Object, Sky or Subject) the files just will not open in PS. I don't know what I am doing wrong as I'm using ACR in just the same way before it was updated. If I don't use any of those 3 tabs & use the other masking tools in ACR the file opens just fine in PS.Please help!
Camera Raw 15 won't display my custom camera profiles (Windows 10). I just updated to Camera Raw 15, and it did not preserve my custom camera profiles in the process. Moreover, I cannot get it to display those profiles after importing them. The import profiles function reports that they have already been imported, but they are NOT displayed in the custom profiles dialog. I have followed the instructions at adobe.com for adding and importing custom profiles, and I have restarted Bridge, Photoshop, and the entire computer multiple times, but nothing works to allow me to use my custom profiles, which I need to process raw files from my infrared converted cameras. I an using the latest versions of Bridge (13.0) and Photoshop (24.0), but apparently I need to revert to earlier versions of these and Camera Raw to use my custom camera profiles. Please help!!
Just in case we don't get all adjustments local in Lr4, I'd like to toss in the idea of a local tone-curve adjustment. If you've never applied local tone curves, you'll be in for a real treat. If you have, then you know what I'm talking about. Summary: ------------ 1st choice - all adjustments locally apply-able. 2nd choice, top additions to locals, prioritized: 1. Luminance Noise Reduction - preferably with independent detail/contrast controls, but independent controls far less important for NR than for sharpening. 2. HSL 3.a. Tone Curve 3.b. Independent sharpen control settings. Notes: -------- Really hard to decide between independent sharpen controls vs. tone curve. - We already have local sharpening (and de-sharpening/masking, and the sharpen "auto"masking), and together with local NR, would afford a fair amount of flexibility. - And we already have basic local tone controls. But being able to apply a curve allows much better local tone control... I mean fill & highlight recov
Today after editing my photos in ACR (updated) I saved all my RAW files to Jpeg. But after saving less than 10% of them my PC restarted. Tried to save again and it restarted again. This used to happen months ago but without any intervention it turned back to normal. Now it is happening again. Luckily before I clicked save images (around 100) I exported XMP files so I didn't loose my entire job. After many attempts I successfully saved my images when I turned off using graphic card acceleration. What may be happening? My pc specs: Intel® Core™ i7-9800X CPU @ 3.80GHzASrock X299 Taichi XENVIDIA GeForce RTX 207064 Gb RAM.PSU Corsair RM750xWindows 10 Pro 64 bitsPSU RM750 Thank you!
When I create a new profile and save it in ACR, everything is fine, but when I create another profile, the group automatically disappears, forcing me to create another. It's very frustrating. I don't know what to do, I looked everywhere how to solve it but found nothing.
An image is captured using the camera manufactor's flash with the flash selection chosen in the camera temperature settings. When openned in Bridge the image file indicates that flash was used (1.jpg). When the image is openned in Camera Raw the color temperature is As Shot 6150* and +1 Tint (2.jpg). There is usually an unpleasant color to a persons face at 6,150* +1 Tint. The Camera Raw color selecor is changed to Flash which is 5,500* 0 Tint (3.jpg). The colors look normal. Is there a way to make Camera Raw recognize the Flash setting the same way that Bridge recognizes it?
Problem:1.- In Bridge open a file in Camera Raw2.- Now push either the OPEN, OPEN AS OBJECT, OPEN AS COPY button and NOTHIG OCCUR UPDATE: Now it actually opens Photoshop BUT instead of opening PS24 it opens PS24.1 (beta)
