When I open an image in Adobe Camera Raw the image looks darker than when I open it in different programms.I uploaded the same image once screenshotted from Canon Photo Professionals 4 and one from Camera raw.Why do they not look the same? I changed my raw standards to the camera settings. Before that some pictures just look a lot more bland. Now it is better but still darker than usual.
=> In Adobe Photoshop 2021 bearbeiten..."

so, i have this issue. and a lot of people here have the same issue. and still no fix. someone say 'clean camera raw cache' and some say 'disable graphic processor', some say 'save file on the desktop and open from there' but actually the issue is far from solved. ps doesnt care about those workarounds. i will post the always-working steps leading to the odd freeze. - open an image (not raw) or create new document. - convert a layer to a smart object. - open camera raw filter. - the little window about camera raw progress is on front, click on the real camera raw window and the progress bar will go to background. camera raw now works. - switch to whatever app you want, safari, finder, not important. - once the camera raw window looses focus, is will not work from now on. buttons are greyed out, even ESC on your keyboard will not work. the only way to come back to your image is to force quit photoshop, and open a saved copy. raw images opened with ps let

Bridge will not allow me to append or replace metadata to a DNG file that is greater than 1GB. Ifa I select tools -> append metadata template or replace metadate template, the metadata templaces are greyed out. If I select an individual metadata item and attempt to type a value in it ("Descripton"), I get "This property cannot be modified." This does not happen on DNG files under 1GB in size and it happens regardless of whether I tell Bridge to use .xmp or .dng file for the metadata. This is on Bridge 11.1.1.185.
Hi, Im looking for the different of styles in Effects, cant`t seem to find Highlight Priority in Post Crop Vignetting. I have the 13.4 version.
I've created some actions that apply a Camera Raw Filter White Balance: Auto adjustment which simply act as an Auto White Balance action. When trying to use this action after Camera Raw Version 12.4, rather than applying White Balance: Auto, the action applies the Auto Temperature and Tint parameters that the action was originally created with and no longer does an Auto adjustment, which makes the action completely useless. Rerecording the action in new versions does no good either, as the action just calls the new recorded Auto parameters. Is this a bug or is this intentional? Is there a work around to create an action step that enacts/applies Camera Raw Auto White Balance without baking in exact Temperature and Tint numbers to the action step? Thanks
How can I open Adobe Camera Raw without going through Bridge? The ACR Filter does not include all of the same features.
We have converted various RAW formats to DNG using DNG Converter version 13.4.0.872 -the Adobe online guidance says backward compatibility is by default set to v1.6 but we are reading backward compatibility as v1.1 in the EXIFTOOL output on the converted DNG files – does anyone know why this is? Also, the DNG files are reading as version 1.4 in EXIFTOOL output. Should we expect these to be v1.6 DNG files, to match the supposed backward compatibility version? So can I ask, what version of DNG is created, by default, in v13.4.0.872?And what is the default DNG backward compatibility version in v13.4.0.872? Thanks for any help!

Has anyone had trouble using the Enhance tool in Adobe Camera Raw?I always get an error message when attempting to use the ACR Enhance tool: "Enhance requires a graphics card with Metal support."I get this error message when processing any file, especially *.jpg and Canon *.CR2 filesI have a relatively new laptop using the latest operating system. My 2020 13" MacBookPro has a 2.3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 Processsor.I am running MacOS Big Sur 11.6 with 32GB RAM.The graphics card is an Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB that supports Metal GPUFamily macOS 2, as confirmed by Graphics/Displays in the System Report onmy laptop. Would appreciate any suggestions to fix this problem within the MacBookPro hardware and/or software.Thanks,Ray Frauenholz
The latest update appears to have impacted production of HDR images. Instead of a week balanced image I get a very dark underexposed merge. As if it used the most underexposed bracket as a target.
Hello friends. First of all, sorry for my English. I HAVE SUBSCRIPTION TO CREATIVE CLOUD. I have photoshop 2021, and camera raw. I recently saw on the web, the plugin, super resolution raw. I tried to open a raw file, in camera raw , but when I click on Enhance the usual window appears, the one with the checkmark improve details, and there is no super resolution checkbox.Thank you in advance and greetings from Capri, in Italy
Hello Adobe Photoshop Community. I'm hoping someone how there can help me with this, hopefully simply, task that keeps frustrating me. In Photoshop Raw, there are now Presets that come installed for our convenience, for example; Cinematic, Futuristic, Medium Skin, Light Skin, etc. However, after I have made my basic edits to a file and then I go play around with the Presets and maybe find something I like, but change my mind, I have no idea how to delete (or deactivate the preset) and revert back to what my Raw edits looked like before the addition of adding the Preset. I wish it was as simply as clicking the preset again to deactivate it. I hope someone out there, knows what I'm taking about and can help. Thank you!
The version 2 lens profile for the Canon RF 24-240mm lens has a well documented and reported bug. My question is, how can I uninstall the version 2 profile file? ACR uses the version 2 profile by default which means I must manually change to the version 1 profile manually for every photo. If I can uninstall or disable the version 2 profile life would be much easier. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I shoot with a Nikon D850 and have had no problem opening files in Camera Raw until the latest update, but with 13.4, I'm getting an "unable to load lens profile" error when clicking on "use profile corrections." It's possible this might be the result of my MacBook Pro dying recently, and Apple replaced a lot of hardware, so I had to restore from a Time Machine backup. Is there an easy way to download camera and lens profiles?
Hello,when using LCP for Nikkor 24-120 F/4, there is only one for D3X. I do not think that should be the issue (should it?) when I have this lense on D600.However, the barrell distortion on 24 mm is extremely overcorrective and after application of the profile, the image goes into heavy pincushion distortion on the image sides. Not sure, what happens in the middle; but if there is a face on in say 1/4 of the image width, it just gets distorted - even non photographers notice.Is this a normal behaviour with Adobe DNG? I tried Nikon's Capture NX-D, but the result was the same.Of course, it's all in RAW.Could anyone provide me with another version of the LCP file, more refined?Thank you.
Hello everybody, after the penultimate update to Big Sur, photoshop camera Raw no longer works, the editing area is black and nothing can be seen. The same problem arises in the "Liquify" filter. The last update Big Sur brought no improvement. Does anyone have any idea how to fix the errors? Thank you in advance and best regards. {Thread title edited by moderator}
Hello -I recently upgraded my camera body from Fuji X-T2 to X-T3 and dealing with the new RAF files has been a bit of a nightmare. My workflow involves an iPad Pro and Apple doesn't support the RAF's yet. I use Lightroom to manage all my photos and the solution I'd found was exporting them out from Lightroom as DNG's. This worked just fine until this past week. I've now been dealing with DNG's that are completely purple.No matter what Adobe program (LR 8.0 or DNG Converter) I use to convert to DNG, I'm getting the same purple raw files.I've tried every combination of settings within DNG converter and nothing seems to result in a usable DNG file. I've searched the web and haven't found much on this purple file debacle (and nothing regarding Adobe). So I'm reaching out here does anyone else have this same issue right now and is there an Adobe fix? I'm using Iridient but it's clunky in an already clunky file management system.Opening them in Affinity Photo (OSX and macOS) to process
How to change the reaction to the Enter button in the camera at 13.2 and later. In older versions of the Camera, the OK button was pressed equal to the Enter button. Now it has been changed to the Open button. How can I return the reaction to the Enter button so that the OK button is pressed, and not Open.My process of working with camera raw has been established many years ago and all these changes, which supposedly improve the user experience, discredit the work of the professionals who use your products. If Edoby's team makes such drastic changes, then leave the option to select the old functions and reactions.Now, when processing photos in Camera Raw, if I accidentally press enter, then my files open in Photoshop. This gives me great discomfort. Previously, in such a case, the program would close and update the file settings. It was convenient and logical.Please do not suggest that I use older versions because they do not work on Macbook with M1 chip.Sincerely, Vladimir.
I'm trying to create a HDR Panorama on Photoshop. I've taken the bracketed shots, created HDR images in ACR, applied a custom preset for the individual frames of the Panorama and saved as DNG files. The colours in the individual HDR files display correctly. When the individual DNG HDRs are loaded back into ACR and stitched into a Panorama the colours are completely ruined, (Purples/Blues showing as Greenish/Yellow). I've double checked auto settings were turned off before stitching and can't think what else could be causing this.
I recently updated my Mac OS, Camera Raw and Photoshop but all of my labels in Camera Raw are missing and when I try to view Camera Raw Preferences - same thing. Has anyone experienced this and how do I resolve it? I should've waited to do this until after I was finished editing 😕😕
I have gov-issued computer ( so upgrade to current version not possible ) using CC2019 PS with Camera Raw 11.4.1 - I have no text in control interface in Camera RAW. No labels on controls at all. Have changed Mac OS Appearance preference to Light. No help. OS is Big Sur 11.5.2 Anyone have an answer to this issue? See attached screen shot {Thread title edited by moderator}
