Captivate

Hello, On Captivate, when I read the slides one by one, the animations work well, but when I look at the preview or when I publish the project, the animations are jerky. Can you tell me why? Thank you  

When I open a module, the text or images are not showing on the main slides, but they show up in the thumbnails. (see pic).   I have to click on all the placeholders on the slide for them to show up.  I have to redo, every time I close and open the course to work on it.  Thanks for your help!

Hi everybody, can you help me please? Once my learners have done the quiz they can consult the correct answers. But once they have consulted the correct answers, they cannot do the quiz again. I would like them to see the corrections and then be able to try the quiz again. Is this possible ?Thanks for your help.

Hi all, Is there a way I can build a button to reset all the remembered quizzes and progress in a unit/course? I would like to add this button at the end of the course to allow a user to retake it all and clear all variables etc making it completley clean like they were sitting it for the first time. Any help appreciated! When I go through my quiz and click the "Review Quiz" button, it takes me back to the beginning of the quiz, but does not show green checkmarks or red x's. Am I missing a setting? I've checked everything 10 times, so I know there must be something I am missing.

The CEO of my company requested adding the ability for learners to speed up, or slow down entire published modules. Is this possible? We publish our learning courses on Moodle if that helps at all. If it involves Javascript coding I have a basic foundation in coding, I just need to be pointed in the right direction first 😉

Hello, There are old modules that I assign, just recently we are wanting to up date the module. I have searched old files/drives, cannot find the original powerpoint. But in the zip file drive, I found it, I was able to launch it in captivate to view. But I can't make changes because there is no file associated with it. Instead of recreating a new powerpoint, is there any way I can copy captivate slides into a powerpoint? Please help 🙂 Thank you

Good morning, I am trying to install Captivate 2019 and am running into an issue.  Everytime I launch the installer the first screen that comes up is an error message that says I need to update my OS and/or browser.  I am running Windows 10 Pro 21H2 with all of the updates installed.  I've tried adding the reg keys recommended on https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/update-operating-system-and-browser.html?internal_browser=true#fix-error with no change.  Using the same installer that I've used to install to other machines.  Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Adobe captivate crashes when I try to launch video demo. I am running captivate in administrative mode I'm using Windows 10 professional. I have tried the recommended fixes. I have replaced captured DLL, that did not fix the issue stop. The following details in Windows Application Event viewer:"Faulting application name: AdobeCaptivate.exe, version: 11.8.0.586, time stamp: 0x61b31be2Faulting module name: MSVCR110.dll, version: 11.0.51106.1, time stamp: 0x5098826eException code: 0xc0000409"

My adobe Captivate (Mac) workspace keeps jumping and hiding. I need help to fix this. I have reinstalled the software but this thing keeps happening.

When I click to open Captivate 2019 on Mac OS 10.15.7, I get a "trial has expired" box (even though I've been subscribed for months). Behind it, the app will open for a second, then crash. Chatted with support bot and tried updating/restarting everything, but no change. Need to get some work done this weekend, help!

Hey,I'm wanting to make a choose your own adventure animation (branching scenario).  It can be done via uploading videos to YouTube with links at end for each of the branching scenarios or it can be done via Captivate.  I'm trying to figure out the benefits of self-hosting the end product that is made using Captivate (so long as Wordpress has a Captivate plugin) vs having the videos hosted on YouTube.  Obviously the quality would be better if it is built using Captivate and we could add more interactive features.  But it would also come at a great deal more cost.  Does anyone have any advice on the benefits of each please? Thank you!

I am using Captivate version 7 on Windows 10 and trying to record a video demo. Captivate does not record the area within the red rectangle. My monitor is high resolution and I think this has to do with the monitor resolution. I searched the web and there are instructions to change the DPIAwareness in the AdobeCaptivat.ini file. I do not see that setting. Below is what my AdobeCaptivate.ini file looks like. hi, I have been using Adobe Captivate since last year, no issues. Since this week, I'm unable to do anything - when I start a new recording, it works, up to the point when I end the recording.Creating the files (eg on software simulation) starts, but then I keep getting the error 'Adobe Captivate' stopped working.Same when I'm trying to open any of my existing projects I uninstalled the programme and re-installed, but the issue is still there. Please advise, as I urgently need to complete some recordings

What does the Review Area do in the Quiz? I notice it is invisible when previewing the Captivate file.I am using Captivate 8.Thanks

I recieve the message "A fatal error has ocurred and the Application is being terminated" every time I attempt to Copy+Paste an image that is a button. This is NEW, and the only change that has happened between today and yesterday is that I began removing Adavanced Actions that had no usage, as well as multiple slides. I have a back-up copy, but this is maddening! Anyone have any ideas on how to get around this?

I am trying to access my Adobe Captivate however it says I need to install internet explorer 11 or a later version, as captivate can only be accessed via log in using that browser. However when I double check, IE is discontinuing after June of next year according to Microsoft. I have Chrome, Firefox and Microsoft Edge browsers. Why is the program trying to make me install an almost obsolete browser to run? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello, Since Flash is an end of life product and Captivate seems to be very closely tied to it, is Captivate at risk of becoming an EOL product as well?  I'm finding references to Flash all over Captivate and I am having a hard time believing that it will be around for much longer.

Hello,I'm running into an issue with mouse positioning, which is hard to describe accurately but easy to spot. I've included a link below to a 47-second demo of the issue.I'm using Captivate 2019 to build video instruction for an application that measures quantities in architectural plans. The application has about a dozen custom mouse cursors, with each cursor conveying meaning about the context and state. Understanding these nuances is a crucial part of the lesson content. I've imported each of these custom cursors into the .cptx file so I can select them where appropriate. The problem is that when I select one of these cursors for a slide's mouse properties, this actually changes the position of the mouse such that the clicked location is aligned with the center point of the cursor graphic rather than the top left tip of the arrow. However--it's not apparent when working in Captivate that the mouse position is wrong! It only shows up after I've generated an mp4 or html5. I can

Trying to import an MP4 video file to Captivate, but keep getting an error saying the file is incorrect or invalid. Had no trouble importing previous MP4 files. File is only 14 Megs, so size shouldn't be a problem. All assistance appreciated.

After the new version install today and a restart I have had three cases of the following error but hidden behind active applications. Also the recording in assessment mode starts OK but stops the shutter sounds and only records first of many screens.Anyone else with same issue?Comments?

I have recentlky completed a project which includes 360 image slides with hotspots.  I have since had reports back from Apple device users saying the 360 image is a plain black screen with the hotspots still visible.  I have tested myself and it seems to be working perfectly on any Andriod device as well as laptops/desktops. Can anyone let me know if this is a known issue with the latest iOS update and if any workaround or fix option are available?    

Hello,  on my 360 slide, I added hotspots that display an image when clicked. But all the images display sideways. I have checked that the images were uploaded in the upright position. I have even rotated the image on my computer, then reuploaded it thinking I'd match Captivate's logic. No luck. And there isn't an option to rotate the image from within the Captivate 360 slide. Any advice?
