Captivate

When I create a question slides and the student I have answered them. When he tries to repeat the subject again, he does not let him ask the true false questions again, since they are answered.Even if I restart the page, it still gives the same problem.Is there a workaround from captivate to have the question slides reset every time I enter them?

I am a new Captivate 9 user and just recently created my first project. I'm trying to preview my project with the HTML5 in browser option but all I see is the spinning wheel of death. I'm assuming there is something wrong with my project but am unsure of what to look at to fix the issue. Anyone know why I would not be able to view my project in HTML5 browser and what could be the problem?

In Multiple choice questions, selected options should be displayed in result page. Please let me know the solution. I want to print the all selected option in the last page of result. Thank you,Srini.

I am working on a Captivate 2019 responsive project (created in breakout points) that was created in desktop view. I need to convert it to a multidevice veiw format, is the best way to do this with fluid boxes? Does that require that every item (smartshape/ photos/ text boxes) go into fluid boxes, or just a large box around the whole slide? If it is each item is there an easier way to mass add these on? Or another way to do this with the existing breakpoints rather than the fluid boxes? 

can audio be added to a roll over state in captivate adobe 2019? or is there a way to write some sort or advanced action for audio to be associated with a roll over state? 

Hello everyone, I have been working on a project in Captivate for about a week and have been stumped by a quiz behavior. I have the playbar showing throughout my project. I have set the quiz to allow infinite attempts and the questions themselves to allow 1 attempt. No matter what I try, if a user answers a quiz question and then goes back with the back button on the playbar, it resets the quiz question so that they can submit their answer again - whether right or wrong on the first attempt. What I would like it to do is show their first answer and only reset if they click the "retake" button on the review slide. When I research this it seems like this should be how it behaves. Since it is allowing users to go back and submit new answers, they could for example, go back and answer only the last question and then get a new score based on that one answer, on the results slide. Help!

Hi there,I have created a course with an assessment section with 10questions using the question pool.Max 3 attempts are allowed and after every 3 unsuccessful attempts user will be prompted to retake the entire course again. I would like randomize the questions / answers every time the user retakes the assessment. The issue here is, the questions are getting shuffled only when the entire page / session is refreshed. In other words when the user retakes the entire course from the start. They don't get shuffled during the 3 re-attempts.Can someone suggest / help on this please? Thanks a ton in advance!

So last issue here on my ELearning Curriculum. I watched Paul Wilson's video on showing next button on quiz revist and here's the AA with the user variable I created.  Under the First AA Tab labelled EnterActionsIncrement _question04 by 1 On the second AA Tab labelled check If-question04 is greater than 1 Then Show next_btn 10 Now I have this AA with user variables for the first three questions and this AA works just fine but it's not working for the last quz question and I have no idea why. Any Thoughts?

I don't know if I inadvertently changed something I shouldn't have, but whenever I try to record a software simulation demo (for an app that runs in a browser window), I only get a 3 second slide with the end result. It doesn't matter where I click/type or how long I actually record.Any ideas? I'm using Captivate 2017

Hi,I have a slaid where i want user to write a password (text entry box) and if the user clicks in different part of slide (just not in the entry box) the message will be shown "You have to enter the password before continuing ect." with the button "Try again". I made a click box on whole slaid (its at the back of everything).Click box conditional action:1. Hide - Password Entry box (i had to do it because it was visible through information box)2. Show - Box with informations and the "Try again button"Then I made conditional action for the button "Try again":1. Show - Password Entry box2. Hide - Box with informations and the "Try again button". And there's the problem, after clicking "Try again button" I can't enter the password because the Box with info and Try again button is showing first. The password entry box is at fornt of everything. I tried to disable the click box and then enable it but still it is at the front. I humbly ask for help 😞  If nothing

I'm trying to create a button that when clicked will perform multiple actions: play a short audio and jump to a slide. Is it possible to do this by assigning an action to the button Down State?

Hello fellow Captivate Developers! When I publish my course, the play page appears blank.  Is there a way to add a thumbnail so that the page they see is not empty.  I added an image to show.

If I wanted to create a multiple choice slide with 4 possible answers of which different ones could be true, how would I do that?Simple example with 1 wrong answer"If you could go wherever you want where would you go?"- To the moon- To New York- To North Korea- To (standin for wrong answer)Some people would choose all, some only choose 1. But choosing the last one would always be wrong.I think it can only be done with AA.What is a simplest way to do that?Put each answer as a variable and then tell CP what to look for?Wouldn´t even only the wrong one need to be defined as all the others would lead to "next slide" or a "You are correct" text box. So, CP only needs to check against that, right?This is all over the place, I am sorry.But I don´t want to start on it to find out there is a official function to do that...Thank you!

So I'm stuck on a button fuction. I've made a custom button that opens the built in TOC. I'm cool with this. But I'm trying to make it so whatever slide is playing, if there's a video or what not, pauses when the TOC is open then plays again the minute you close the TOC. Right now, I have an AA attached to my custom TOC button and it reads like this: PauseShow TOC(not much to show here.) This pauses the video when the TOC opens but I can't, for the life of me and I've been trying for a while here, figure out how to make the slides play again when the TOC closes. I know I'm missing something simple guys, LOL. Like it must be dumb simple, LOL. But so out of all the AA's I've made, this part was all that worked. Thoughts, comments? 

Hello, i would like to save the current slide the user is at in a variable. It looks like that:Assign: *UserVariable* with cpInfoCurrentSlide Then i want to write an advance action to jump back to this current slide. How can i do that? Thank you so much for ur help!

Hi,I am working on captivate 9. I have not recorded the video but inserted mouse objects later. Although the mouse action is pretty fast in most places, I find it very very slow at some places. I checked all the properties if I was missing something. It seems the same as the rest of the mouse pointers inserted. I need help in understanding this.

Hi guys, today I experienced a strange bug: when I apply a 'RotateTo' effect on an object, in the editor Captivate rotates it around it's center point. When I generate a HTML Preview, in the browser (Chrome) the object rotates around top left corner. (I don't know what happens after publishing, didn't try yet. 🙂 )Anybody with same experience? 🙂 Any advice how to fix it? Thanks, Nora

I created a video project with 6 knowledge check overlay slides.  I have tried every preview and publish button. I am not able to view my project, all I get is a blank white screen. I do not have this issue with other projects that don't include video/ overlay. 

I have wasted 1 week. tried whatever Gaurav Sharma and Siddharth Gulati, both of them said that everything is okay after that and ALL OF IT WAS JUST A WASTE. Priya seems like she does not know anything . This organization must look in to this. I have wasted so much time trying to fix the glossary issue. NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE. and this is reallt annoying. IT HAS BEEN A WEEK and NO AVAILABLE FIX YET.

Hello, any help with this issue will be much appreciated. Email support never responded to me. Chat support offered two solutions that didn't work and is responding once per day at most. Phone support had me on hold for an hour, then hung up on me when I gave them my case number from chat support. This is affecting hundreds of our users and delaying thousands from onboarding, so mission critical is an understatement.  Okay, now that's off my chest, here's the problem: Our quizzes are sending bad data to the LMS. Best I can tell, it posts runtime data for the completed quiz on exit, only to then post incomplete runtime data that overrides the location from the complete data. This happens on our in-house LMS connected to our Rustici Engine server, and it also happens on SCORM cloud (sandbox, no LMS) so it's plainly the Captivate course. What the users see is the end result screen with their score, then they close the course. Is there a best practice or recommended resolution for a project? Our computers have a (recommended) reolution of 1920 x 1080, so Captivate's default of 1024 x 627 displays with a little lower quality and doesn't fill out the screen (leaves borders on the sides). For a while I was creating projects in 1920 x 1080 but thought maybe I should ask the group and see if there is maybe a better option? Are there any advantages of the default 1024 x 627 vs a wider screen resolution such as 1280 x 720 or even 1920 x 1080? My thinking is that in the past it made more sense to use the lower default resolutions since our montiors were more square but with the newer monitors maybe there is a better resolution we should be using? Hi! I'm creating a Glossary App but I really don't know how to go about it. It's like a simple search app. Enter a text and information will appear.

Is it possible to create a quiz thru the use of AA in which the end user can type a string of letters, numbers, special characters (aka a password) and as long as certain conditions are met, be given feedback of it is correct or not? If this is too far out there, I get it. I'm having one of those well is this possible moments.

Hello again,I am stuck with a potentially very obvious problem...I have D&D knowledge check with 3 boxes and 6 answers.Drop target: 1Drop, 2Drop, 3DropDrag objects: 1or2drag (2 objects), 2or3drag (4objects)As shown in the naming convention I want boxes:1Drop to accept objects from group 1or2drag2Drop to accept objects from group 2or3drag and also 1or2drag3Drop to accept objects from group 2or3dragSo, box 1Drop will always only accept 2 as max.Box 2Drop might go up to 6.Box 3Drop can go up to 4. How do I set this up? Sometimes box 1 or 3 might be empty but it still needs to accept it as correct.This is my selection. (sorry, it is in German)All boxes are set to "accept all".What am I missing? Thank you as always!
